    Hi Gurus,
When i am trying to create Purchase Order with the QM active for that material, system gives me the following error,
Vendor's or manufacturer's QA system inadequate. I have gone through the similar thread but it gives the solution for the material whose QM is not active but in my case QM is active. Guide me if i am missing some process.
    Thanks,
    Deven

    Hi
Vendor's or manufacturer's QA system inadequate
    this error is due to
You have maintained   QM view-->  target QM system.
    Say ISO :9001
But in QI01 -->Qinfo record you have maintained existing QM sytem say ISO 9002
    or
In vendor master you have maintained some other QM system
If there is difference in Vendor master or QM view & QInfo record ...then while creating PO this error will occure.
Maintain same QM system or remove.

    Thanks

    Dear Robinson,
I think you are facing missing functionality if you received the message mentioned.
'No inspection lot' of Q-Info record for HU-managed materials can be carry out.
    Please try using enhancement QAAT0001.

  • What are the system requirements to develop ipad apps?

So I'm in the Apple store with $10k burning a hole in my pocket. I am a windows developer and now want to start developing mobile apps for the ipad and iphone that will go as far as magazines with video.
But no-one has a clue what system I need. The only thing they will say is...anything that runs snow leopard.
Well, that's a bit of an issue. I need something with some obvious horsepower in ram and on the harddisk. Since apple manages memory and code differently than a windows machine, I have no idea what to buy. Do I need a dual processor or not?
So I'm in the store and I register online to the ios sdk, because they are quoting a readme document that details the full system requirements. But it's nowhere to be found. I am then told that I have to download the whole sdk to get access to this readme document. Funny, but I haven't bought the system yet to download it to.....chicken and egg, right?
So can someone out there please tell me how much it's going to cost to get into the game, to create the magazines with video content, similar to National Geographic? I don't want to buy some cheap leopard machine only to find out that I can't upgrade the memory or that I have to get a different machine because what I bought was inadequate for my applications, because it wasn't fast enough to process etc....
To develop a magazine with video and photo content, similar to National Geographic, what system do I need to purchase, and what are the exact specs on memory and processors etc....
    thanks!

I know nothing about iOS; however, the best machine, IMO, would be the new 27" i7 iMac. Get 3rd-party RAM to go to 16 GB, and get the video card update. Whether or not you want an SSD is a personal choice. For me, it's not worth the cost, just get a 2 TB internal HD. That's all the hand-holding I can offer.

  • FX5200-TD128 Crashing System

    Straight to the point, then...
I built a system for a client approx 2 months ago and since that time, intermittently, the system will freeze, screen will go blank, then restart, Scandisk, "Error Report" window.  Configuration is as follows...
    P4 2.8 GHz CPU
    MSI 6728 NEO2-LS MBB
512 MB Kinston KVR400 DDR RAM
    MSI FX5200-TD128 Video w/ 53.03 Drivers
    Western Digital 80 GB HDD
    LiteOn 52x32x52 CD-RW
    SB Live! 5.1 Sound
Raidmax Scorpion Case with 420W Power Supply (other PSU specs - now posted later in thread)
    2x case fans
    Logitech Webcam
Windows XP Home SP1(upgraded from ME - FAT32)
Customer sent the error report and received a reply back that it was possibly video driver related, so last night we downloaded and installed the latest drivers from nVidia, but problem persists.  It doesn't seem to happen with any particular program or game... sometimes with Counterstrike, other times with Internet Explorer
My next thought is to try converting to NTFS.  My thinking is that maybe the problem is somehow related to the fact that it was a Windows ME upgrade and not a clean XP install.
Any help from the experts would be appreciated.
    Rick

    Computermechanic…….
We knew…. sooner or later that someone would try telling us that there
420 watt PSU was adequate, but in reality was inadequate. We hope this
explanation will help you to discover why your PSU is so underpowered
    and or inadequate!
You said your PSU is rated @ 420 watts @ 100%, correct!
Here are the specs you gave, correct!
    3.3v x 26A = 85.8 Watts @ 100%
    5v x 32A  = 160 Watts @ 100%
    12v x 13A = 156 Watts @ 100%
We come up with 401.8 Watts Total @100%, not 420 Watts !…
PSU are often very deceiving !   All PSU are Not created equal !
Even our really old Enermax EG365P-VE 350 Watt PSU has more
watts than your 420 watt PSU!
    Here are the specs:
    3.3 x 32A = 105.6 Watts @ 100%
    5v x 32A = 160 Watts @ 100%
    12v x peak 20A = 240 watts @ 100 %
    Total watts = 505 watts, correct!..Wrong!. 505 Watts @ 70% = 353.5 Watts,
    that’s why it’s called a 350 watt PSU!...
    Now will take your 401.8 Watts @ 70% = 281.26 Watts, You have a 282
watt PSU !   Remember again, PSU are not created equal!...
You said: “your power requirement is only 349 watts” looks like you’re a bit
weak on those precious watts, like 67 of them! Ya think!  Welcome to the
    real world !....
PSU… are Not designed to run efficiently @ 100% !…
PSU.. are designed to run efficiently @ 30% to70% with 50% being optimal!..
You said: “13A on the 12v rail gives 156 max watts, more than twice the required
75 needed for an FX card”. The FX card is not the only component that requires
12volts, some of the amps, and lets not forget, which equals those precious watts,
you also have to consider the HD, CDRW, SoundBlaster Live 5.1, 2 case fans,
floppy drive, MB, CPU fan, PSU fans, NB fan, etc, etc. All these components
could easily used over 100 watts, Maybe more! Maybe less ! Plus the 75 watt
FX card, to easily total more than 175 watts! Maybe more!  Maybe less !
So, if you take the 156 watts from the 12v rail and its running @ 30% you get
46.8 W, now if you take that 156 watts @ 70% you get 109 W, but now, taking
that 156 watts running @ the optimal 50% you only get 78Watts!..Understand!
Everyone here, at our Overclockers club, can’t even believe that your rig would
boot up and go into Windows, for one minute or two or three or four or five or
six or even seven!.. Without crashing, lockups or BSOD.
Most signs and symptoms of a faulty or inadequate PSU, are often or random
reboots, BSOD, lockups, poor performance, crashing, etc, etc.
If you’re a system builder, or even if your not, we suggest that you and your
techs at your supply co., read this post written by clarkkent57 on “Choosing
    The Right Power Supply” [https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threadid=31880]
and hopefully you and your staff will understand, what we are trying to say,
your PSU is the issue here! “Its inadequate”!!!!!!

  • Stolen iPhone 4S / I'm surprised there isn't a better recovery system

I recently had my new iPhone 4S stolen. I made a trip to my local waste disposal facility on Saturday and it must have fallen out of my pocket while I was pulling heaps of recycling out of my car. After realising I must have dropped the phone, I drove back and from the time I left to the time I returned, no more than 30 minutes pass and my phone was gone, obviously. I tried calling it but the phone appeared to have been shutoff.
Unfortunately, I hadn't enabled the iCloud service and Find My iPhone - only had the phone for a month - but I had setup the Find My Friends app so that my wife and I could track each other for a laugh. Amazingly enough, about 6 hours after losing my phone, it showed up, no more than 1/2 a block from the waste facility. I watched it remain relatively stationary for 3 hours and then it became unavailable again.
I drew up some flyers the next day and canvassed the area where I suspected the phone to be. Imagine my surprise when, after talking with some people in the vicinity, I discovered that the suspect house was owned by someone who works at the waste facility. So what are the odds of that?
I filed an incident report with the police and went back to the waste facility to speak with the employee. He obviously denied everything and even though our conversation remained civil, I just had a sinking feeling that he was lying to me and let's face it, the GPS led me to his house.
I think what frustrates me the most is the lack of co-operation from the phone company and Apple. It would be ridiculously easy for Apple to track serial numbers. Everytime the phone is connected to a computer to sync or the person uses the iTunes/AppStore apps, the serial number should be sent to Apple with the user's corresponding information. The suspect serial number would be compared to a list of serial numbers from phones reported as stolen. Upon successful match, Apple could then issue a query to a national stolen phone registry (maintained by the authorities - we have one here in Canada) and if there is another match, they could contact the original owner of the phone telling them to contact the police. Apple would generate a claim entry in some sort of CMS and forward a ticket number to the police for them to use when requesting the data (e.g. ISP provided IP address, time of access, machine name/MAC/private LAN IP, etc.) This way, it's the authorities that have to request the information from Apple, as it should be.  A similar sort of system could be put in place by the phone companies as well, but using the IMEI.
A system such as what I described above would prevent legally acquired second hand phones from triggering police intervention, protect the suspect party's personal information until the police request it, and provide an efficient and effective way to recover stolen phones. It's astonishing that such a simple system doesn't already exist. Most of the key components are already in place.
Anyhow, I'm hoping the police recover the phone now that I've been able to identify the suspect but I have my doubts.
    I really hate dishonest people.

Takes about 5 minutes to setup.
As I explained, I only had the phone for a month and wasn't familiar with the new features for iCloud/iOS 5. I've never lost a phone before so never even thought to search for such a feature.
    KiltedTim wrote:
They DO provide a tracking mechanism. YOU chose not to enable it.
Actually, I didn't choose anything. I wasn't aware of the feature at the time and, as I said above, I've never lost a phone before so never thought to look for such a feature.  The phone was setup by the agent at the store (I would have preferred to do it myself) and therefore iCloud services were disabled by default.  Furthermore, this clearly illustrates why an additional mechanism would be beneficial. It's also very easy for someone to disable Find My Phone - that's actually not a very good security mechanism at all.

Ain't gonna ever happen...for the same reasons that GM won't help you find a stolen car...nor GE a stolen toaster or Samsung a stolen TV. These guys are NOT the police & don't want to have anything to do with this stuff. You can keep barking, but your bark will fall on deaf ears.
Many GM cars come with OnStar which can help locate or disable a stolen vehicle. A toaster and TV are not communications devices and are not as easily misplaced and stolen like a cell phone. They also aren't as readily trackable like a cell phone. Furthermore, you have home insurance to cover such a loss.
Why couldn't Apple offer a similar additional service as part of MobileMe or other such offering?  This is analogous to what GM does with OnStar.  GM ships their vehicles with the components necessary for OnStar (control module, etc) to work and OnStar provides the customer interface and implementation of the service.
With that said, if you actually read my post, I did locate my phone using a similar feature provided by the Find My Friends app.
    Julian Wright wrote:
Apple clearly already added a few features to help a customer recover their phone
If you had read any of the documentation Apple provides about the "Find my iPhone" feature, you would see that Apple never states the word "stolen". They always state "lost". It will help you locate a lost iPhone.
As soon as it becomes a stolen phone, that is a criminal matter and therefore legally not Apple's job to help recover it.
Regardless, you hadn't set the feature up in a whole month, so it wouldn't have been any help to you anyway...
Since Apple doesn't offer a service to assist in the recovery of a stolen phone I wouldn't expect them to use the word "stolen" in any of their literature regarding locating services.
I completely agree that a stolen phone is a matter for the police but that doesn't mean Apple can't provide assistance to the authorities upon request; whether a court order is required or not is not the question here.  With regards to privacy legislation, again we are in agreement.  As a software developer in a field where privacy impact assessments and conformance to existing federal legislation is mandated, I know all too well what is allowed to be tracked and what is considered a violation of a privacy.  I also get to see first hand how inadequate some of the existing security systems and policies are.  I completely agree that Apple tracking someone's private IP and NIC MAC, machine name, etc might cross the line, they are already tracking serial numbers, search history, and external IP addresses when a person connects through iTunes.  This information can be subpoenaed by the authorties.  All I'm suggesting is to make this process easier.
I'm not suggesting that Apple start kicking down doors but they could easily work more closely with the authorities to offer enhanced recovery services for stolen phones, even if offered at a price.  Just because it hasn't been done before doesn't mean that it can't or shouldn't be done.  Now that I know how easy it is for a phone to go missing, I'd gladly pay for the reassurance that some shady opportunist isn't able to benefit from my misfortune and hard work.  Judging by posts on the net about this subject, I know I'm not alone.
No great company has ever succeeded by maintaining status quo.  Apple (and cell providers) could really do something to help address a fairly large issue with minimal cost and risk.

  • System Volume Information restore for external hard drive

I tried to save some files to my external hard drive but realized a LOT of my files were missing.
A Windows bubble appeared with the warning: "The file or directory G:\System Volume Information\_resotore{*code*}\RP2189\change.log is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility."
Any pointers on how to restore?

    Hello,
Sorry to tap into this thread but it was the only one that made sense.
I have been trying to restore my kid's libraries from an external HD. I assumed I needed to be logged into their Windows profile to launch each of their own itunes applications. As I tried to launch with the Shift key held down, I got the appropriate request about choosing a library. But when I navigated to the HD and found their .itl file, it said it was locked or I had inadequate permissions and would not proceed.
I then logged in as myself (admin) & then dragged & dropped the files into their respective folders. When I went back to open itunes, the songlist was where it should be but nothing played when I tried them.
Is this where "consolodating" comes in and what is it and how do you do it?
    Thanks for your patience.

  • Why are BT's ordering systems soooo bad??

After a truely horrendous home move experience that could easily have cost me my job through lack of internet access, I am finally inching towards having infinity installed in my new house.
My phone line was activated late on Tuesday 28th August, with broadband appearing earlier in that day (only 3 weeks later than originally agreed, but that is a whole other story that nearly reduces me to tears when I think about it). BT had to wait until Total Broadband was working before they could place an order on their system for an Infinity upgrade. Because of the mess around my home move, BT Retail had agreed to pay the extra to Wholesale to fast-track my inifinty engineer appointment, so it would be in a matter of days not weeks from now.
So, Total Broadband became active on the day they said it would - 28th August.
I called them (no call back though I had been promised one for the day after activation) on the 29th to make sure Infinity would be ordered immediately, and fast-tracked. Was told that on their ordering system Total Broadband hadn't registered as being activated, but that it would hit their systems "today" (the 29th). They couldn't place an order for Infinity until Broadband had registered with them... I was assured that the order would be placed in the morning (on the 30th) and I would be called before noon with confirmation.
Today - the 30th. No call by noon. I call them at 12.45pm. No order for Infinity had been placed, but the operator would place the order immediately. However, no date could be given yet for the engineer appointment as that order would have to hit the engineer's systems before a fast-track appointment could be made. That would happen tomorrow (the 30th)!
Even then, I was offered a callback tomorrow but that could come any time between 8am and 8pm! I declined and have said I will call them tomorrow at 9am to find out the date of my engineer appointment.
Why does it take 24 hours for one system to pass information to another system with BT, even if it is within different subsidiary companies???
Why can a provisonal engineer appointment not be booked under special circumstances when it is clear an order will be placed?
This has been a thoroughly unpleasant experience from the moment I found out that my home move order had been moved back 3 weeks, and I had to find that out for myself, I wasn't told that by BT.  It has caused me to lose my temper with operators who are trying their best but the systems they have to work with are woefuilly inadequate at handling the tasks they were designed to do.
Oh, and the compaint I made weeks ago has been roundly ignored, and when I chased it up, I was told they don't deal with complaints until after the issue has been resolved! Conveniently this allows time for the complainant's ire to cool and details to have been forgotten.
I detest how BT have made me feel and act over the last month. I just hope they try to bill me for the period when I've had no phone or email service....

It's typical, not only of BT but of pretty well all companies and public services that rely heavily on automation. The technology is by and large fast and efficient. On the other hand, when things don't follow the predetermined path, there is too often nobody left with the authority and nous to get things back on track. That would be expensive and play havoc with the financial model.
Look at the recent catastrophes at RBS and HMRC for example.

  • System Deployment with 10.5 Server System Image Utility

I am trying to image a classroom lab of iMacs and I'm getting nowhere mighty fast.
I have created the 10.5 client image on a test machine and had it placed on test for students and faculty. After the image was tested for stability I was ready to create the image for deployment. In the past I had used Bombich's NetRestore to deploy images but have found it to be incompatible with 10.5, as it will not resolve the Leopard ByHost file problem correctly. While I can create a Net Install image using the 10.5 System Image Utility I can't determine how to deploy it with multicast ASR. As least from what things appear, the Net Install will run as a unicast and if I try to run it on a number of machines it will bog down the network so severely that it will be impossible to deploy the image - at least this is my understanding.
The last time I had assistance from our regional Apple System Engineer he informed me of an application call Proton Pack, but I can neither get the application to recognize the image nor do I understand how the main issue, the ByHost file, will be corrected without any sort of post-install action taking place since as far as I know mASR on the client only "grabs" the image and doesn't to anything more. I had emailed our System Engineer twice and have yet to hear from him. I can't let this go much longer.
The frustration is mounting as those above me want these machines deployed and there always seems to be problems with this. There are great and robust solutions in the Windows world, how come there isn't anything as simple and elegant as the likes of Ghost? At this point I'm about at my wit's end and find myself cursing the very platform that I had been championing for more than 24 years.

I'm not ranting after the folks here, I am attempting to make a point and my point is that the tools available are inadequate for the purpose. Do you really think a company should hinge a deployment strategy on tools either developed as "shareware/freeware" or a feature set that claims it works but doesn't?
    Jeff Kelleher wrote:
Again, let me state that I've been frustrated by OS X Server. I applaud you for speaking directly to Apple for solutions. Ranting to people who try to offer solutions won't help.
Sorry to vent, but I have just grown tired of the excuses. Even my sales rep is quick to try to point the finger elsewhere. I have been exposed to for the shortcoming of a consumer platform that is suppose to be targeted toward K-12 and businesses. If Apple is serious in being in the enterprise markets they need to have a decent, reliable tool, be it something from them or another vendor. Ghost for the Mac is a no-brainer, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has wasted time with the pitfalls of Mac deployment. I know I can't be the only one who is frustrated by the less than optimal methodology to rolling out Macs in this manner.
    Jeff Kelleher wrote:

I'm not ranting after the folks here, I am attempting to make a point. My point is that the tools given aren't worth beans. I had been a champion of Apple since 1980 and a certified tech since 1981 (starting with the Apple II platform) and while many things have improved dramatically through the years this is one area that has lagged behind for some time.
    Jeff Kelleher wrote:
Finally, deploying 30 Macs is, like it or not, a small venture. 100's or 1000's is a lot.
Sure, 30 may be small, but how likely am I to deploy a district's worth of these machines if the tools available make deploying Wondows machines such a breeze by comparison? I think somebody's cutting their own throat and it's not Mr. Gates.
    foilpan wrote:
it's possible that your energy could be better spent solving the issue and moving on rather than blaming apple for not doing what you want out of the box. if your job is to deploy 30 macs, just do it however possible and spend time later to refine the process. you can easily finish that job in a day (or way less) with proper prep.
This is a reoccurring scenario with Mac deployments which is getting old and tired. I'm up to the point to let these machines sit in the boxes since my time could be better used to support PCs.
Sadly it seems most people are missing the point that the tools that are suppose to make this work, don't. If you have the patience to work around these shortcoming, that's good. If you have the knowledge of being able to script your way around the areas where the tools promise something but don't carry through, you score more points. I, for one, don't have the luxury of time on my side, being dealt a multitude of district responsibilities that include areas besides PC and Mac support.
    foilpan wrote:
another option is to hire apple or an outside consultant who may be able to help if you don't have the scripting experience in house to do what you need.
That's a great idea. Unfortunately with the state of school budgets it's quite unlikely this will happen in the near future.

  • Need Help using One-Key to make a system back up to DVDs

I bought U330 in Sept and now that I have some of my own programs installed and running, I want to make a backup to D (I think?) and also make backups to DVDs so I could make backups.
I'm no novice, but I cannot figure out the instructions for this.
When I pick  Backup, even at Max compression, it says I don't have enough space.   I don't have THAT much on D:---did I need to repartition this before I even started using this computer?  Does this mean I can never use One-Key?
When I pick Create Recover Disc (to make DVD backups), what do I do next?
The dropdown for "Select Source From" has only two options, I am guessing I have to pick "Select another image", but then I don't know what to pick for the Image path.    How do I pick the whole C drive ???   Or??
Please tell me exactly how to do this because I am finding LENOVO's instructions totally inadequate.
A couple times I got to the DVD burner--not sure how--but then it just wanted to burn the sample music files.    I'm feeling quite frustrated--this should not be this difficult!!

I thought you've got error of another type - that error is fixed by simple software update.
Regarding your case - it's always frightening in first time. Believe me - there's completely nothing to be afraid of.
Resizing C drive may result killing your DATA on it only in case of energy is down during the process. Process is taking about 15-20 minutes on slow programs and about 3-4 minutes on fast programs. That means that even having problems with electricity you'll be able to finish everything correctly running on battery.
I'd recommend using Acronis Disk director Suite, but it is not free. One of the best free progs for that are bootable Linux livecds PartedMagic and GParted. They're all intuitive understandable.
You will get your NOVO recovery feature lost after C resize, but you can enable it later, replacing that factory backup in hidden partition with your own backup - your NOVO button will restore your system with all your software and settings.
it will be good for you to start with some basic principles on partitions organization schemes - why, what for and how questions are briefly explained here. After reading this you'll be able to ask right questions to get right answers.

  • Keyence laser gauging system

My company is developing a system to measure the underside of our parts. We are employing a Keyence LKG032 Displacement sensor on an X/Y Stage. We will be measuring "z" @ an assigned x, y position @ a very high speed. The data will then be "stitched" together to create a 3D visualization of the measured geometry. Question 1. Which stages play well with the NI MID 7652 Servo Drive? Looking for a linear motor arrangement with a nominal 50 x 50 mm travel. I already tried the motor and stage advisor. Less than helpful. Question 2. Please illuminate any circumstances we should consider in determing hardware requirements. Thanks.

Thanks Richard. Yes, if I connect to pin 34, the strobe output, I should be able to see the strobe. And I should be able to switch between the outputs using pin 35. There are also RESET inputs for both OUTs. And I understand you saying that a NI 6534 board could be interfaced to the binary output lines 13 through 33. Then I could, I suppose, program the computer for reception of the data in "twos' complement 21 bits" format. What a pain.
But surely all this is a function already existing in the controller in a more sophisticated mode? The nature of my experiment means that the data comes in bursts. One burst can easily be accommodated in the buffer memory of the 3001 controller, and I could download it later during an interval between bursts.
According to the scenario you advocate, I would only be using the controller as an expensive power supply for the heads, and its data processing functions would be ignored.
Here in England the 6534 board costs about $2000. I have already purchased the controller, which does the required job, and it cost $2000. I am rather resentful that, because of the inadequate Keyence software, I can't use the circuitry in the controller which I have bought. Surely there is some solution that involves communicating with the controller via USB? That's all that's required: the USB interface is perfectly capable of handling the data volume and speed.

  • The Real System Requirements of iWork '08

    Hello!
Did you know that Numbers can run in a G3? Apple said that it would need a G4, but this is not true. The real system requirements is the OS, not the Hardware: I could run it in an iBook G3 900 MHz running 10.4.10 but I could not run it in an iMac G4 running 10.3.9.
Try it (and enjoy it), because it has the best interface in a spreadsheet program. The sad thing is that Steve said that now the iWork suite is complete. That is: there is NO database application to come and that means that iWork will not permit to AppleWorks rest in peace.

I so agree. iWork is massively inadequate in its present form. I doubt that they will add a database as they want us to buy Filemaker but iWork, once you get past the superficial MacPolish is not even as capable as AppleWorks is. AppleWorks' main problem was a lack of resolution in it's graphics modules and some limitations in the spreadsheet but it still works well enough for me to be using it for all my business applications. iWork just doesn't operate as smoothly and its inspectors are disturbingly reminiscent of Word's profusion of multiple toolbars and menu items.

  • Disc too slow or system overload - please help!

I'm doing a very minimal project with 2 voices, and 5 fx tracks - no plug-ins and after I've recorded a few takes I keep getting Disc too slow or system overload (-10010) messages either in record or playback. These messages have gotten more common for me lately, but this project is so small I'm really surprised. I've repaired permissions, rebuilt directory with Discwarrior and have 100 gigs free space on my media drive. Logic 7.2.1.
Usually I work at 44.1 but this project is 48 (fx tracks taken off CD are 44.1) I don't think it's much of a factor because I'm getting the same message on my regular projects. The audio portion of my CPU meter barely registers, but the disk I/O goes from barely visible to spikes into the red.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's cool, Logic has been doing this since at least version 4, and
    it still does it.
    PC, Mac, g3, g4, g5, pentuim, 2, 3, 4. inboard/outboard audio disks, SCSI, firewire, 1gigRAM, 2gigRAM, 8gigRAM.
"Disk too slow or system overload" <-- funny, I just produced a 30-minute television presentation doing all the video editing on this mac, all the while MAYA was running.
Yet, Logic gives you the overload message even if there's ONE SINGLE AUDIO FILE in the arrangement!
It has nothing to do with your buffer settings.
Even the best outboard audio disks stop spinning after a few minutes.
Unlike Nuendo and ProTools, Logic doesn't care what your disk is doing when you press play.
Nuendo and ProTools spin up the disks before attempting to play the file, avoiding the RIDICULOUS error message. Logic just throws its transport into play mode, causing the error message, and causing you to believe your system is inadequate.
After I write this, I'm going back into Logic to press play. I know as a Fact, I will recieve the ''system overload message''. Been this way since version 4,
SOLUTION#1: Press 'OK' at the error window, wait a few seconds, then try playing the song again.
    SOLUTION#2: Wait...another ten years?
    SOLUTION#3: Invest in ProTools.
The 'system overload' excuse is ABSOLUTELY one of those "10 years and still going" screwups in the logic software.
I still use Logic, and the folks at Logic apparently will always think you're lying when you report an error. buffer settings! <- too funny.

  • System hang up using OCFS shared unit

    Hello everyone,
We've a two nodes Oracle 11g RAC on Win2008 std edition - 64 bit. I noticed that if Oracle uses the shared unit (OCFS) with datapump import or export or external table import configured on the shared unit, the system freeze and I need to restart the server.
    How is it possible?
    Thanks to all

The information you provided is woefully inadequate.
    1. What does 11g mean? 11g is a marketing label not a version number.
    2. Are you current with your patching?
    3. Are you using OCFS or OCFS2?
    4. What, very specifically, froze?
    5. Have you run hang analyze?
    http://www.morganslibrary.org/reference/files.html
    6. Have you looked in the alert log?
And, of course, why are you on Windows? Move to Linux and get a real operating system.
