'No inspection lot' of Q-Info record for HU-managed materials can be carry out.

Cannot Approve Journal Batch (Button grayed out in More Actions screen)
The Journal Batch Approval notification goes to one or more approvers but when any approver opens the journal and tries to approve, the approve batch button is greyed out and nobody can approve the Journal batch. The approver has every authority amount and other wise.
Any idea what might be wrong? Do I need to setup something in Preference pages etc.,?

Are you looking at the Workflow Notifications page or GL page. Please give me the navigation used to reach the page. Typically in workflow notification details page, the Response buttons are either displayed or hidden based on whether the notification has a Result Type attached or not. I don't think they are greyed out based on any rule.
Workflow notifications does not check the approval authority by itself. Ann appropriate workflow notification with right content and result type should be sent based on the approval authority checked in a previous function activity.

How are you daling with the error: Invalide Approver: The beneficiary cannot approve or update the task ?
I have some resources that can be requested by the approver, so when he's tried that, he got the error message below. I know the message and validation make sense and is necessary.

I've already done that but the validations persists. As xelsysadm, I've tryed to provision a resource to myself and I've got the same error message.
OIM is executing the sql SELECT rqu.usr_key FROM rqu WHERE req_key = 74. As the usr_key is equals to the task assignee... There is no query to get the resource authorizers.
The approval task is assigned to a user group.
Any suggestion about that?
My Solution: We decided for those users, We can do a direct provisioning (OIM Administrator) or have access policies without approval :-(

Cannot approve the notification in production

Hi ,
When user tries to approve or perform any action on non stock requisition in Production instance , It is throwing an error 3138: action cannot be performed ,contact system adminstrator.
The same notification is working fine in Support instance.
FYI : we regularly clone production in to support everyday.
And this problem exists for a particular user.
The above error message is hanlded in a custom package, when we try to debug the code , every thing seems to be working fine.As this is as urgent issue Plz respond asap.

This error is shown if the post-notification function associated to the notification activity returns a result ERROR. This post-notification function belongs to the Product that owns the workflow. If the notification is sent from Oracle iProcurement that it is the Procurement team that has written the post-notification function.
Within this post-notification function, a certain validation is performed when the notification is responded. This validation seems to fail that Procurement code communicates to the workflow engine that shows this error message.
Please look at the post-notification function code for more information.

Cannot approve review Activities from SCSM Self Portal

When i have created a SCSM Service Request with any RA Activity and the users is trying to approve the activity, the self portal says:
"The approve operation is not allowed in the current state of the activity, refresh the page and try again later."
What's the problem?

Approver cannot approve account though he has enough amount.

Hello SAP-FI Gurus,
I have this issue that has something to do with the Approver being not able to approve an amount in the PO posted.
The PO posted has this IR(Invoice) which has a G/L account of 6-digit number. Determining the expense type helps us know the amount the approver is only allowed to approve for a certain document type and company code. What I did was like this:
Example: G/L Account = 510060
Here, the expense type is '051'. Since it is a 6-digit G/L account, is it right to just add '0' and get the last 2 digit (51)? Hence, 051 is the expense type. Is that correct?
Now I looked at the table which gives us data for what amount can an approver approve. In my case the amount is 2 million USD; the amount in the IR is just 400 thousand USD. So the approver must be able to approve that amount.
But my problem is that the approver was not able to approve.
Gurus, where should the issue come from?

User cannot approve the BSP Workflow

A User has been experiencing an error when approving a particular work item in UWL which is
releated to creation of a customer .
And the following error is appearing : BSP exception: The BSP URL / Doesnot contain ant namespace entry.

Open the SICF transaction and see whether you application is enrolled with the services. If it is not present you can newly enter ur application and services can be created for it.

ERM Cannot approve a role: Invalid Priority Value

Hi all,
I'm implementing Enterprise Role Provisioning.
When I test my workflow and I click on the "approve" button the following message appears: "Create a valid request"
Looking at the log file, i found the following error message:
2009-05-15 10:17:49,655 [SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_42] ERROR 2010 : com.virsa.ae.core.ObjectNotFoundException: Invalid Priority Value : RE_HIGH
It shold be a problem related to the Compliance User Provisioning module, but I can't understand what is missing.

Do you create the priority RE_HIGH in CUP?
If yes then what is the workflow type you have defined? It must be ERM.
Whether your workflow for role approval is created in CUP?
If not then create it with the name ROLE_APPROVAL with folowing value -
Workflow type = ERM
Attributes -
Condition...................Atribute............Value
AND..........................Priority.............RE High
AND..........................Request Type...RE Role Approval

How to allow user defined in list item to see item using only Designer. Approver set in list item can't see items they are to approve.

SharePoint 2010 and Designer 2010.
We have a list of items that users enter information into. Only the user who enters the data can see the item. It's confidential stuff.
One field is the name of the person who will approve this record.
Workflow sends approver an email and sets a task to approve the item.
Problem is that the user set as approver cannot see the item.
We can't have a list of approvers - as all staff can potentially be approvers.
We can't allow anyone other than the person who created the item and the person that is set as approver in a field to have access.
I am not a programmer, but a user of SharePoint Designer 2010.
(I did think we had this sorted by sending an email containing all the list item fields, but this task still requires permissions).

I understand that after you grant user permission on current item ,the user still cannot approve the workflow task .This is because the user doesn't have approve permission in the Tasks list .You only grant the user permission on current item in current
list ,so he can approve the item by clicking the Approve/Reject in the edit control block .
Your workflow is correct ,now you need to grant the users Approve (a permission level) permission in the Tasks list settings .In this way ,the users can finish the tasks .

PO Approval Group Problem

Hi Experts/Gurus,
We have Oracle EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) .
Preparer is created Purchase Requisition. He cannot approve the PR, can only forward the PR .
After forwarding PR to his superior say 'A' . He (User 'A') can review and change the PR if required.
User 'A' has not PR approval rights. PR should be forwarded to next approver say 'B' , in hierarchy even though he (User 'A') press the APPROVE button from
Notification summary.
At last, approver 'B' has PR approval rights . He only can approve the PR .
At our organization, PR is created with value 0 (Zero) and buyer is input the rate at the time of PO creation .
How I can achieve this ?

Hi Sanjay,
Hoping you are not using the position hierarchy.
One way to achieve this is by using AME and put in place a rule where approval is required from two supervisors (Exception:- when the PR is raised by a subordinate just below the top employee).
Another way to achive this is by excluding all the accounts from the job of approver 'A' in approval group (Not suggestible as maintaining jobs of employees in this scenario will be messy)

Error when trying to approve a mitigation control in CUP

Hi,
I have created a Mitigation Control in RAR and set-up the necessary workflow. The request ends up in CUP and the approver is able to see the request when he/she logs in, however the approver cannot approve or reject the request.
The following error messages appear:
- Approve: Error processing your request, Request no: 2 in stage : MITIGATION
- Reject: Error rejecting request no: 2
I have check the workflow many times now and I have also checked the mitigation URL's.
Any idea what the problem can be?

System Adminstator 에게 보내진 Notification 에서 PO 를 retry 할수 있는 권한이 필요하다.
1. SQLPLUS 로 Login 하여 Notification을 받은 User를 찾는다.

2. 상기 Person detail 정보에서 확인한 user로 PO Super User로 Login 한다.
1) Notification Summary 를 Open 한다.
2) Fail 된 document 를 Open 하고 Respond button 을 Click한다.

마지막 Action으로 fail 된 approval process 가 다시 시도된다.

Update Column value after current item is Approved and then publish major version using Sharepoint 2013 designer workflow

We have a requirement to update a column value once the item has been approved.
Following settings have been made in the publishing articles list:
Require content approval for submitted items : yes
Create major and minor (draft) versions
Who should see draft items in this document library? :Only users who can edit items
Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited? : yes
I have createdatu a Sharepoint 2013 workflow to check if Approval sts of current item = 0 i.e. Approved , then check out and update the item and finally checkin the item. Everything works fine till this point except that the minor version of the item is
checked in. Due to this the updated columns are not published to others.
Also, I created a Sharepoint 2010 workflow to SET CONTENT APPROVAL = APPROVED and started this workflow from my list workflow above, but the item does not get checked-in and always shows "In Progress" status with comment "The item is currently
locked for editing. Waiting for item to be checked in or for the lock to be released.".
Please let me know where I am missing out so that once the item is approved, column value gets updated and current item is still in Approved status.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to update Column value after current item is Approved and then publish major version using Sharepoint 2013 designer workflow.
You will get into this kind of Catch-22 situation trying to set the Content Approval Status in SharePoint Designer workflow:
- You must check out the document before you can change the Content Approval Status
- You can't change the Content Approval Status once the document in checked out
Since you set the Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited=Yes, you will need to check out the document when run the workflow on the item. But you cannot approve a document when it is checked
out. So the logic in workflow conflicts.
As a workaround, you can use the Start Another Workflow action to start the normal Approval workflow on the document. The built-in Approval workflow can work with a document that’s not checked out.
The designer approval workflow also can work with a document that’s not checked out.
You can create two workflow using SharePoint Designer 2013.
First, create a SharePoint 2010 platform workflow.
Then, create a SharePoint 2013 platform workflow.
Then when the SharePoint 2013 platform workflow start, it will start the SharePoint 2010 platform workflow to set content approval status, then the SharePoint 2013 platform workflow will update current item value.

Issue:
Cost center Owner is submitting the Expense report and you have to restrict
him from approving his own Expense report.
Conclusion:
There is a scoping question in BC to allow or switch off Self-approval.
If Self approval is switched off then the approver receives the approval task in his Inbox but cannot approve,a self -approval error message prevents him.In this case he has to manually forward the task to another user.This is the Official Self approval Prevention solution for SAP Cloud for Travel.

Task assignment in SOA are done via human task assignment i.e. the .task component in BPEL. Now this task assignment can use various features to compute whom to assign the task to.
1. Static: This is when you specify the group name or the user name directly into the task.
2. Dynamic : This is when you assign the approver to be a variable and in your SOA workflow before task assignment you assign value to this variable.
3. External Routing: This is when you assign a java code inside the .task to do all the assignment and escalations. When using this you can have complex implementations done.
What I meant by looping is that you will need to call this .task two times, first time of the first approver and second time (if the first approves it) for the second approver. Thus when you are inside the loop you need to get the appropriate value from the payload (payload is sent from OIM to SOA when you submit/approve the request) and set it into the appropriate variable so that .task reads that variable and assigns the task to that person.
I would recommend going through the BPEL developers guide for better understanding. Start with a simple process and see how it behaves when it runs and then pile on top of it.
