  • Purchase info record does not exists in purchase organization 1000

    Hi experts,
I have created a new enterprise structure in SAP. when i am creating a PO its picking the correct info record, but when i am doing GR, its giving the error as 'purchase info record does not exists in purchase organization 1000". I have maintained everything perfect. the only thing i have changed is I have moved the open and close period from 11-2002 to 12-2008 in MMPV.
Please give me some suggestions, where it can go wrong.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Poorna.

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for all yours responses, Actually what deepak said was right, but in my IDES system i am not able to create new entries in assign plant to std purchase org. I found the database view for that, V_001W_E its for table T001W. So i looked into that table i found that std purchase org was given as 1000. i made direct entries in that table, i thought the reason for this may be due to , that i copied plant from 1000. After making entries , i did not got the error message that was i am previously getting.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi.

  • How do I know if my update didn't work because the record doesn't exist

I am updating a row in a table and I want to know if the update didn't work because the record doesn't exist. Is there any way of knowing this? I want to avoid doing a select first if at all possible. I am using sqlj with Oracle 9i on Linux and JDK 1.3.1.

I got it. So if anybody else needs to know this here it is.
    import sqlj.runtime.ExecutionContext;
    ExecutionContext ec = new ExecutionContext();
    #sql [ec] {update statement};
    if (ec.getUpdateCount() == 0){
    throw new SQLException("No rows for update");

  • Valuation type Not Exist for Material

    Dear Experts

No valuation type exists for material
    Rgds

    CKMLGRIR024
    Short Text
No valuation type exists for material &
    Diagnosis
You are trying to post to material  (). This material is subject to split valuation according to valuation type (valuation type = ). It was not possible to determine a valuation type for the posted operations.
    System Response
The posting will not be accepted as a valuation type can not be found.
    Procedure
Check which valuation type the GR/IR clearing account maintenance should post the balance to. The valuation type must be created before the GR/IR clearing account maintenance posting is made.
    You can either:
*Post the goods receipt with reference to this order, enter the valuation type and then execute the GR/IR clearing account maintenance again.
    or
Reverse the Invoice(s) that have led to this balance in the GR/IR account.*

  • How do I know if an update failed because the record doesn't exist

I am updating a row in a table and I want to know if the update didn't work because the record doesn't exist. Is there any way of knowing this? I want to avoid doing a select if at all possible. I am using sqlj with Oracle 9i on Linux and JDK 1.3.1.

...and I want to know if the update didn't work because the record doesn't exist. It is possible that you are looking at the problem wrong. An update doesn't 'fail' if there is nothing to update. So it works whether anything was updated or not. And so it might simply not be possible to see whether zero or more rows were updated. (Returning how many rows were updated might represent an enhancement rather than a necessity.)
I didn't find anything specifically that said this was or wasn't supported by briefly looking at the Oracle docs and searching google.
If nothing else you could always do a select first with the same where clause and then do the update if the select returns a non-empty set.

  • BRAIN 627 (Variable value doesn't exist for Char.) since upgrade to SP15

    Hello Gurus,
We upgraded our DEV BI 7.0 system last week from SP12 to SP15 and we experience a problem in some workbooks:
Whenever I try to refresh or switch to the Design Mode, I get the following errors message:
BRAIN 627 : Variable "Calendar Month Year Interval" value "2006.01" doesn't exist for Characteristic [0CALMONTH in that InfoSet].
I found that the OSS note 1111256 corresponds to this issue, but the only solution mentionned is to import SP17.
Isn't there another way to implement this correction directly before waiting for the SP17 (knowing that even SP16 is not available yet)? This is a big issue for us, as we can't refresh some of our workbooks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello
You mean to say that you are encountering this issue only in some workbooks and not all workbooks. Are all these workbooks written on queries on the same infoset?
See if the mapping in the infoset is causing this issue.
    Hope this helps

  • Quality info records: different pack configurations for same raw material

how can i differentiate different pack configuration for same raw material in quality info records, as one might approved and the other not? that is, besides creating different material master for each packaging?
    thanks
    Alisa

You need to use the MPN profile functionality that is a standard part of SAP.
In Config under the purchasing define the MPN profile.  There are several options you can turn on/off including info records.
You assign the MPN profile to your material. It now is considered by SAP to be an internal material number.
You then create a HERS material type for each separate manufacturer material number you have.  You only need the purchasing view for these materials.  You can also create purchasing text views, classification and some others if you wish.
In the SAP approved vendors list (AVL), you then assign each manufacturer vendor(s) with the HERS material created.
You create a Q-info record for each manufacturer/HERS material combination.
Now, when you specify the internal material number in a PO, the system will tell you to order the MPN material.  When you do the drop down for the material now, it will show you the approved manufacturers allowed in the AVL for the ordering plant.
When the 01 inspection lot is created you will have a vendor number as well as a manufacturer's number in the inspection lot.  The DMR can be done by the manufacturer or the vendor depending on how you set up the inspection plan. Q-info record will be used accordingly.
Take a look at it and research it.  It's not hard to set up.

  • Purchasing info records with different prices for different packaging

    Hi,
    hope, someone can help me.
We have different prices for different kind of packaging, but all the material is bought in the same unit, i.e. kg.
Let's say, usually you buy x kg in a drum, but sometimes you buy y (or x) kg in a bottle or in a bag.
We won't allow variable order units. Even if we would, it's not helpful, because we always order kg.
So the price depends on a criterion - I don't know, which to take. And we want to maintain the different prices in the info records.
    Is there a solution?

    Hi.
I went through the history of the problem. It seems that your base unit of measure is KG.Also you have mentined that same material is used in various plants.
You need to activate the variable ordering unit  2  in material master. This is present in the materila master Purchasing tab. Also note that this data is maintained at plant level. This will not have any impact on the materials which are presnt in the other plants.
After activating variable order unit in materal master. You need maintains the conversion factors from Order units to Base UOM.(Eg 1 KG = 1 KG, 1BOX = 10 KG etc)
Create inforecord for the material and maintain price in Base unit of measure.
In PO enter the order unit as BOX system will automatically calculate the price of BOX based on the conversion factors which are maintained in the material master.
I belive this is the simple and best solution for your requirement..
If you have any suggestions please let me know
    Cheers

  • Purchasing Info Record- Different Regular Vendor for different Plant

    Dear Guru,
I'm encounter a problem with PIR.
    I have this PIR 9001 (Vendor A) and 9002 (Vendor B) for material A, which i have extended to 2 different Pur.Org 0001 under company code 0001 and Pur.Org 0002 uner Company code 0002.
For Pur.Org 0001, i set the Regular Vendor as Vendor A, but when i trying to set the regular vendor for Pur.Org 0002 to be as Vendor B, i receved the message as "Up to now, vendor A has been regular vendor for this material".
And After i changed this Regular vendor to vendor B, this changed have also affected the PIR for Pur. Org 0001.
Can i know if there is a way to change the PIR Regular vendor at Pur.Org or Plant level?
    Thank you very much,
    Regards,
    Chee Wee

    Hi,
Regular vendor is at client level.
That's why, you cann't maintain more then one vendor (Source of supply) for the same material.
If you want to maintin separate vendor for the each plant and same material combination, then don't activate / select regular vendor option in the info record. You have to maintain source list.
Sour list is nothing but a list of source of supplies for the specific plant and material combination with in the validity period of time. If there are more then one vendor for the specific plant and material combination for the same validity period of time, then you can activate fixed vendor option in the source list. Then at the time of creating PO, SAP will pick fixed vendor for the Plant and Material combination.
So first, system will check whether regular vendor is there for this material in the info record. If is there, system will pick regular vendor in the PO. If not, then system will check fixed vendor in the source list for the material and plant combination. If yes, then system will pick fixed vendor from the source list. If not system will propose all the vendors in the source list. If the source list it self not created, then user has to give vendor number manually.

  • FI12 Bank Account Reference Info field doesn't show for all house banks

We are storing some information in the Reference info. field (T012K REFZL) for bank accounts. We have several house banks defined and this field is available for edit for the accounts for those house banks. We are setting up a new house bank, but the reference field does not show up so we cannot edit its value.
I cannot find any config that allows me to define conditions that would affect the availability of that field. The only difference I can see between the new house bank, is it has a different country than the existing house banks. Existing house banks are in FR and PL, new house bank is in NL.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ellen

I received one other option from outside this forum that also solves the issue.
Based on OSS Note 1009154 the below record has to be inserted into the u201CV_TFIBLSCREENu201D data view by using SM30:
    SAPLFHBANKC, 3, 002, NL, 3.

  • Batch does not exist for material

    Dear Gurus
In the inspection set up in qm view of material master  I have assigned early lot creation in control inspection lot field.I have created MICS and inspection plan also. After release of process order for that material the inspection lot for that order is created. When I am saving the inspection lot after entering in qa32 the system  is throwing a dialogue box ,"batch doesnot exist should a batch be created" with 3 buttons yes, no, cancel.Although the batch number is already present for the lot that I sawwhen I entered in,( batch number is coming through internal number range). Now after pressing yes in the dialogue box when I am going to msc2n to view the batch, the error message is coming the batch does not exist.
What are the settings that I need to do so that this discrepency does not arise.
    Regards
    Sandip Sarkar

Was the batch number enterred in the process order?  If you have an inspection lot with early lot creation, you should have the batch number assigned in the order.  I suspect the system is having problems because of some conflict between the inspection lot, the process order and whatever internal batch number assignment process you might have.
