Quality collection Plan for OM processing

Hi Gurus,
My client wants to implement Quality module while shipping the products to customer.
If we implement Quality module how to attach the Quality collection plan result to respective sales order after updation of Quality result in Quality module.
How to check the details in sales order form of this result?

Hi,
Collections Plans can be enabled at RMA receiving if the Item attribute "RMA Inspection Required" is set to yes.
Define the collection plan Type as "Receiving Inspection" and set the following profile
QA:PO Inspection to Oracle Purchasing.

Client requirment is to personalize Oracle quality collection plan --Enter Result form. for specific collections.

Any ideas on this plan for a process chain?

I have 6 ODSes. I load these on a daily basis with 6 different flat files. ODS1, ODS2 and ODS3 needs to be loaded first before ODS4, ODS5, ODS6.
Once all six ODSes are loaded, they are then aggregated based on some two key fields to and loaded into a cube. Npw I want to automate the process.
Can you please check if my plan for the process chain is right:
1. Start Process:
direct Scheduling
Change Selections:
Start date & Time
Period Jobs: check
Periodic Values: Daily
Restrictions: Always execute job
2. Indexes:(this flows into the first 3 ODSes)
Delete indexes
3. Load Data:
Load Data ODS1
Load Data ODS2
Load Data ODS3
4. Activate ODS1
5. Activate ODS2
6. Activate ODS3
(? What do I setup here so that the following will be loaded only if ODS1, ODS2 and ODS3 are successful)

8.Delete Indexes

3. Activate the three ODS , with separate ODS activation process type.
4.Put an AND condition
5. load data to ODS4 ,5 and 6
6. Activate ods4 ,5, & 6.
7. delete index for cube
8. load different data from ods to cube
9. create index.

load ODS1 -- Load oDS2 -- Load ods 3
Activate ODS1 - Activate oDS2 - Activate ODS3
                 AND (process)
Load oDS4      load ods5    load ODS 6
Activate oDS4 Activate ODS5 Activate ODS 6

   there is no concept of activating the cube .. it is only applicable to ods.

We have two messages with status "planned for outbound processing". Because we want to quit them i want to know how to do this?!
Can somebody help?! these messages seems to be stuck because of java-mapping!?

Check the Queue name in Sxmb_moni and as expert Aamir mentioned go to Tcode - SMQ2 look for the Queue name and delete the message.

Multiple Receiving Quality Collection Plans

I am trying to setup collection plans to capture results when receiving a PO. I am able to see only 1 collection plan and i don't see my new collection plan, is there any profile option or setup to enable multiple receiving collection plans ?

Hi,
We have an OPM template ( TEMPLATE OPM RECEIVING INSPECT ) from which you have to build your own collection plan.
I have some old notes from the past which I will share with you here.
RECEIVING INSPECTION AND OPM QUALITY AND COLLECTION PLAN ERROR DEBUGGING INFORMATION
     Steps Required Prior to Executing Test
1.     In Oracle Quality, new Quality collection elements and collection plan have been seeded.
2.     In Oracle Inventory, item is Process Quality enabled.
3.     In OPM Quality System Parameters, set Lot Optional to Yes and Delayed Lot Entry to No.
4.     In OPM Quality, optionally set up an OPM sampling plan for incoming inspection.
5.     In OPM Quality, create an approved item specification and a supplier specification validity rule associated with the sampling plan.
6.     a) In Oracle Quality, create a collection plan (e.g. call it OPM RECEIVING INSPECTION and copy elements from the seeded collection plan from 1 above called TEMPLATE OPM RECEIVING INSPECT ) with seeded collection elements that correspond with the OPM Quality sample group.
The Collection Plan will be setup by the end-user with Collection Triggers so that, only for specific conditions allowed by the collection triggers for the Inspection transaction, will this collection plan be applicable during RCV Transaction (aka enabling)
.e.g. for Quality Collection Transaction. ‘Inspection Transactions (Oracle Purchasing) set up Collection trigger of ‘Item’ Condition ‘equals’ and From value of ‘9010’.
7.     After the plan has been copied over, please verify if all the elements and actions are correctly copied over. The details of elements and actions are listed out in the Technical Design document for reference. For example, verify that actions for assigning a value to the Sample Disposition Code, Quantity, Inspection Result are present. Verify that the Action on Inspection Result for Accept and Reject are correct etc. Please verify the element settings such as Mandatory-flag, read-only flag etc are as per the Technical Design document .
8.     Also, navigate to Quality à Setup à Collection Elements form and verify the Sample Disposition Code seeded element is correctly seeded – Refer to Technical Design document for reference.
9.     In Oracle Quality, the profile option QA: PO Inspection set to “Oracle Quality” instead of “Oracle Purchasing”.
10.     In Purchasing Receiving Options, set Receipt Routing to ‘INSPECTION REQUIRED’
User Implementation Guide consideration for Receiving Inspection.
1. It is recommended that the total receipt line quantity be recorded as either the amount of material accepted or rejected based on the final sample group disposition, since partial quantities typically do not apply to Process items.
i.e If the Inspection result is “Accept” then Accepted Quantity must be equal to Quantity and Rejected Quantity must be zero. If the Inspection result is “Reject” then Rejected Quality must be equal to Quantity and Accepted Quantity must be zero.
2. With reference to the ‘Reject the Input’ action with an error message to prevent recording inspection when sample disp is Pending or Cancel etc., there is one point to note, viz. - When you have a ‘Reject the Input’ action, there is a corresponding error message this column is not a Translated column.. Hence the Quality Manager who manages collection plans setup, can alter this message content to suit their needs as appropriate during implementation.
3. It was also clarified that in Oracle Quality, user can enter more than one row of result in the collection plan. In the OPM scenario, most of the times, user will enter only one row of result and this is the recommendation.
4. To ensure that the tie-up between the quality records and the sample inspection in the OPM data model for future usage is operative, then please make sure that Oracle Alerts sub-system in functioning.
Debgging information
1. If get error
APP-QA-16135: Quality Results cannot be entered because no Collection Plans apply" in the Receiving Transaction form.
a,. Add a transaction named "Inspection Transaction" to this plan
b, . Don't setup a spec for this collection plan in Oracle Quality - so under the Specification pushbutton, the 'No specifications used' radio button will be selected
2. Is the receiving option receipt routing set to ‘Inspection required”
3.The design does not allow for accept or reject of partial quantities – is the ct using partial quantities ?
4.This is a one shot deal on the collection plan entering of quality results. Is the ct trying to re-enter results in the collection plan again?
5. Receiving inspection requires the sample group to be at a final disposition. Is the customer using single sample, sample groups or multi-sample sample groups when this occurs? Is the automatic single sample disposition workflow set to auto or manual?
Because neither the quantity or sample result is being picked up, maybe the sample group for the sample(s) is not at a final disposition. This may explain why this is being regarded as intermittent.
6. Note bug 5300577
Once a sample or sample group has been assigned a final disposition of Accept, Accept with Variance, Reject, or Cancel, it should not be updateable to another disposition. Please check what is the customer's scenario that allows them to change from the Reject disposition to Accept with Variance. Are they entering a second sample against the same receipt and sample group as the first sample? Or perhaps the second sample belongs to a different sample group than the first sample?
7. To clarify . When you open the screen to enter results in Oracle Quality, it will reflect whatever is the current sample group disposition that corresponds to the item/receipt. I believe collection plans in Oracle Quality only allow data to be entered and saved once. After this point, the user cannot go back to this screen from Oracle Purchasing. If the user does not save any data, then s/he can re-enter the form multiple times and see the up-to-date sample group disposition automatically populated.
8. In Oracle Quality, user can enter more than one row of result in the collection plan. In an OPM scenario, most of the times, user will enter only one row of result.

Quality Collection Plan is a module in Oracle Applications - this is not a Java programming question.
If you want to know if there is a Java API to import data into a collection plan, this is still not a Java question, it is an Oracle Applications question.

Any plan for "BIA process types" for Process Chains?

Hi,
This morning one of our blades (with Versoin 49) become unresponsive due to memory leak; RFC server on the blade was not releasing the memory. As you know by now, when it happens we restart the server on that blade and things start working until the next time.
As a preventative measure, we would like to create a program and put in a process chain to restart the RFC and Index servers for all the blades everynight. Do you have any program already to do so? We identfied the api's already but wanted to see if somebody already doing this.
Or even better, is there any plan for creating new "BIA process types" for the process chains that we can drag/drop instead of writing programs?

Quality Collection Plan assignment

Hi All,
I'm just trying to assign a collection plan to a particular user.
What i did is
1. Created collection plan
2. Add the user login to the User group
3. Grant privilege of the collection to the user group
But the collection plan is not available in the user login
Am i missing anything????

Data Collection -- Planning Data Pull process failed

Hello Experts,
I am having a problem with data collection, the result of Planning Data Pull was completed error. It seems the problem is on the Planning Data Pull Worker.
I am using 2 worker to run Planning Data Pull, and both result was errors. Below are some of the errors log:

This error shows up when it cannot find any organizations.
Use the sqls below to identify this
1. select MSC_CL_PULL.get_org_str(&instance_id) from dual ;
2. select instance_code, instance_id from msc.msc_apps_instances where instance_code='&instance_code'
3. select * from apps.msc_instance_orgs where sr_instance_id= &instanc_id
sql 1 should in principle return the orgs available. If this returns null or -9999, then it's an orgs problem
sql 3 will show the available orgs.
If the organizations are enabled for planning in the ASCP instances form, then run a targeted refresh for trading partners (suppliers/customers/orgs). If this works with no errors, then look at the table msc_trading_partners. It should contain records for the orgs with partner_type = 3

Oracle Quality: Need a way to copy and paste collection plan records

We use a Quality collection plan, along with a few child plans, to store inspection requirements. The user wants to be able to copy an existing plan record and paste to a new record for further updates. Any good ways to accomplish that?

Diagnosis
You want to use the production resource/tool in a task list or work order with task list type Q. However, according to usage 004 of the PRT, this task list type does not exist.
Procedure
Change the usage of the PRT in the master record or select a PRT which can be used in this task list type.
How to resolve this issue.

I have found packages to create Collection Plans (QA_PLANS_PUB) and Specifications (QA_SPECS_PUB). Both allow you to add elements to the Plan or Spec.
However, both assume that the Collection Element already exists so that it can be added to the Plan or Spec. And I can't find an API or package to create the Collection Elements. Does such a package exist?

LSMW for Quality Inspection Plan

Dear All,
I am in process of uploading Quality Inspection Plans through process of LSMW with standard object 0240 (Inspection Plans) with batch input method. With this when I am trying to create Batch Input Session, system is throwing me error as 'Characteristics is not yet created' (Message Number - QS 320). I have maintained all the relevant master data before going to upload Q Inspection Plan.
Could any one pl. throw light on this issue?

Depending on what control indicator key for master inspection characteristics have you implemented in the operations within the plan, the system checks if the characteristics are completely maintained.
This has nothing to do with LSMW, it's just a normal message,.....what I find estrange is that the message you're saying is a warning message not an ERROR message.

Collective Planned orders Scheduling for lower level orders with reference to the Superior order

Hi All,
Collective planned order scheduling.
I have been trying to reschedule the superior planned order and i was expecting the lower level planned orders to reschedule based on the superior planned order.
My problem is
when i try to reschedule the superior planned order the system is not rescheduling the lower level planned orders.
For example if i change the basic finish date of superior planned order as 30/09/2014 and reschedule the planned order it is only scheduling the header planned order and the lower level planned order is not scheduling.
Could some one tell me why this is not happenning at planned order level.
As the rescheduling of collective order will work at production order level but for some reason it is not happening at planned order level(as there is no option available to do so).
Please give your thoughts on this asap.

Please observe that your system is working as designed. Planned orders are scheduled independently, even when they are part of a network/collective order. Note 152319 explains the planned order scheduling in detail and it provides the following information:
* No scheduling of overall networks is executed although a directly manufactured component is assigned.
Note that no scheduling of the overall network is executed for planned orders. For the components requirements dates are determined. In order to cover them, planned orders are created in the next MRP run. Since the requirements are not managed using the exact time, the results of the planned order scheduling and of a scheduling of the overall network of the converted collective order can differ.
