  • Create Quality Management view for a Material in background mode

I want to know if there is a way to create a Quality Management View (Quality Management tab) on Material Master (material already extended to plant ) in background mode.
The requirement is to add inspection setup data for a material extended to a particular plant in background. I tried using 'BAPI_MATINSPCTRL_SAVEREPLICA' to add the data and it works perfect as required. Now the problem is this BAPI is creating the inspection setup data only for the material which has QM tab in MM02 for e.g. I manually created the inspection setup for a Material from MM01 and then deleted it , now the BAPI works fine for this material because when I created an inspection setup from MM01 it created the QM tab and after i deleted the entry the tab was still there with no entry in inspection setup.
I want to create inspection setup for a material which does not have QM tab.
I have to create everything is background mode. BDC is one option which I am list interested in.
Thank you for helping in advance.

Thank you for looking into my issue. I have to do the inspection setup in background without using any front end transaction.

  • MATMAS05 IDOC adding Quality Management view to Material when posted

Matmas05 IDoc when posted is appending Quality Management(QM) view to material.
Initially Material doesnt have a QM view . However whil e postion matmas05 , MAra-VPSTA & PSTAT fields are getting updated with the letter Q(which is QM). I'm not passing any fields relevant to quality management. I donot want any views to be added.
    Thanks
    Sunil R

I can see the IDOC data passing in through WE02 and can control which data I can pass in to MATMAS05 IDOC. However need to know why the idoc is appending a view to the material. I tried to Debug the IDOC_Input_MAtmas01 Function module which is used to process this incoming IDOC to SAP, coudnt get too far on that.
Where can i see the actual updating of tables like mara &marc in the above Function module at debug time?

  • BDC for MM02 - Quality management

    Hi Friends,
I need to create BDC program for MM02 with Quality Management View.
My problem is with the sequence of the QM view in MM02 for different material types as per with recording.
Kindly suggest me to resolve the issue.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi S.Suresh,
I would simply read table QMAT to check if material/plant has Inspection Type '01'.
Then, in case Inspection Type needs to be created, just call the BAPI_MATINSPCTRL_SAVEREPLICA FM with structure INSPECTIONCTRL properly filled-in.
If successful, then remember to call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
    Hope this could help.

  • Regarding quality management

anybody knows what are the t codes ad other businees process whiledealing with Quality Management in case on integration with Material Management

    hi,
    1) Maintain Material with Classification and Quality Management view
    2) Tick the Check box Quality key Active in QM View->QM view->Inspection Set up and activate the inspection type for which the inspection lot.(e.g insp. type 01 - GR against PO)
    3) Create Quality Info Record(QI01)
    4) In PO the stock automatically goes to Quality stock.
    5) Check MMBE stock
    6) Do Result Recording and Usage Decision(QA32)
    7) Check stock (MMBE).
There are few steps where the PP/QM Consultant need to help you in QI01,QA32 and in Creating characteristics and class according to Requirement(purity...etc).

  • Inspection setup in view quality management update in material master

    Hi all,
We are using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA for our material master updation.
Here one  of the change in the program is to update the inspection setup in the view quality management.
Can anybody tell in which stucture of the bapi BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA  i can pass the values of the inspection set up fields. If not is there any other bapi through which can be done?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
To deactivate the Inspection Types for materials, you can use transaction QA08.
Here use tab "Deactivate insp. type" and specify the inspection type which you want to dactivate.

  • UCCX Advanced Quality Management with VMware View

    Hi,
I have a customer who uses UCCX 8.5 with VMware View clients running CAD and 7940 IP phones.
They are looking at recording options and have expressed an interest in the Advanced Quality Management product.
There are a few issues that I would need to consider specific to their environment.
The first is that Desktop based recording would not work in this environment as CAD is running on a virtual desktop rather than a PC daisy chained to the IP phone. The second is that network based recording is not supported as the 7940 phones do not have a Built in Bridge.
This leaves server based recording which uses SPAN port mirroring. The issue with this is that the agents phones are distributed across multiple Catalyst switches so I guess I would need to configure RSPAN - has anyone got any experience of using Cisco QM with RSPAN? - if yes how well did it work? - the customer would probably be willing to upgrade the IP phones used by the agents if that would be a better option.
The final query relates to the Screen Recording Client - the install guide details how to install this on a Citrix server but makes n mention of VMware view. Does anyone know if support for this is on the roadmap?
    Thanks!

    Hi James
I've done an RSPAN deployment with UCCX recording which I presume will have similar gotchas...
The only issue I had was that I ham fisted an RSPAN config in that SPANned the VVLAN on all the edge switches. My mistake was that I didn't exclude the uplink ports, and these switches were stacked, so there was a lot of packet duplication initially (sounds like 90s dance music time stretching).
If you ensure you SPAN ingress only on all the endpoints (i.e. phones, and gateways) and then exclude any ports where traffic might be seen a second time (e.g. switch uplinks), and then filter for the voice VLAN  you should be OK.
This deployment was a routed LAN with different subnets on each edge stack but this worked OK with everything running through a single RSPAN session back to the server.
I've not had the good fortune to have to do this more than a couple of times, and I've not done it for AQM  - but assuming that SPAN/RSPAN are supported along with the video recording part running on the endpoints I don't see it being too different as they seem to be written by the same people.
Can't help re: VMware view either I'm afraid...

    thanks in advance.
    Ajit

    Hi Ajit,
In MM01..After entering industry sector and material type,,,when you click on enter...A window for Views will popup...
Now You select your all views including your quality view...Now you check the check box for "view selection only on request"...Now you click on default values....

  • Sequencing of views in MM01

    Hi Gurus
Customer Requirement is to maintain the sequencing of views in MM01.
    say sequence is KTEN...
If we try to maintain view N after K then there should be error..
    any idea welcome..
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
It is always better to maintain the sequence like this (same as MM01 sequence)
    Basic Data 1
    Basic Data 2
    Classification
    Sales: Sales Org. Data 1
    Sales: Sales Org. Data 2
    Sales: General/Plant Data
    Foreign Trade: Export Data
    Sales Text
    Purchasing
    Foreign Trade: Import Data
    Purchase Order Text
    MRP 1
    MRP 2
    MRP 3
    MRP 4
    Forecasting
    Work Scheduling
    Production Resources/Tools
General Plant Data / Storage 1
General Plant Data / Storage 2
    Warehouse Management 1
    Warehouse Management 2
    Quality Management
    Accounting 1
    Accounting 2
    Costing 1
    Costing 2
Sometimes it creates problem when you won't follow this
    for example
If you wants to come to Sales data2, without entering the basic sales data in 1 then it will be a problem.

  • Quality Management Process.

    Hi,
I am not aware of quality management process. Can someone give me this kind of process?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
Following is the process of Quality Management -
    1)Master Data maintenance -
    - Maintain material master QM view with required inspection types as 01/0101/0130 for procurement, 03/04 for in process, 10/11/12 for delivery. Assign characteristics as per requirement (post to inspection stock, check characteristics, automatic assignement etc) (Transaction MM01 / MM02).
    - Maintain sampling scheme (transaction QDP1 / QDP2) & sampling procedure (Transaction QDV1 / QDV2)
    - Maintain inspection method (QS31)
    - Maintain catalogue (Transaction QS31 for code group) & QS41 for selected set).
    - Maintain master inspection characteristics (Transaction QS21).
    - Maintain Quality Info Record for Vendor (Transaction QI01) & for Customer (Transaction QV51)
    - Maintain Inspection Plan (Transaction - QP01)
    - Maintain inspection operation & inspection characteristics for the same in routing for production (Transaction CA01).
    2) Process for Procurement -
    - Create purchase order (Transaction ME21N). The quality master data is copied to purchase order (like stock type, certificate required).
    - If required create source inspection lot manually (transaction QI07)
    - Carry out source inspection & post the source inspection results (Transaction QE51N). Take usage decision for the source inspection results (Transaction QA11).
    - Post GRN (Transaction MIGO).
    - Inspection lot is created & stock posted to inspection depending on the settings in material master & quality info record).
    - Check the material & post the inspection results (Transaction - QE51N). Take usage decision & post the stock to required stock type (Transaction QA11).
    3) Process for Inprocess inspection -
    - Create &release Production order (Transaction - CO01)
    - Post the operation results (Transaction - CO11N)
    - Post the quality inspection results (Transaction QE51N)
    - Take usage decision (Transaction - QA11)
    - Confirm Production Order
    4) Process for Sales & Distribution -
    - Create Sale Order (Tranaction - VA01)
    - Create delivery (transaction - VL01N) when material is ready
    - Inspection lot is generated. Post inspection results (QE51N)
    - Take usage decision (QA11)
    - Post the goods issue (VL02N)
    Hope this clears your query.
    Regards.

  • How to include Quality Mgt View - Inspection Setup- InspType and Active

    Friends,
I am working on MM data conversion. I am using STD RMDATIND program for this. I need to update fields in View Quality management, Inspection Type and Active check box. We could achieve this through Quality management -> Inspection Set up->click on New button. Here you can maintain the InspType and Active button. My problem is that I am not able to find the corresponding fields in program RMDATIND. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sujith.

    Dear YOGINI B. THORAT,
Thank you very much for correct suggestion,
We have resolved our issue of materials which were unable to move the stocks from quality stock to Unrestricted stocks,

if we activate Control Key for Quality Management in Procurement in material master then wether we need also store a control key at the plant level for quality management in procurement.
I am not clear about your question. But I guess you want to know about control key function. You activate "proc. asctive" box in QM view of material master, that is always at plant level. When you activate this, system automatically asks for a control key & cert type, thats mandatory field.

  • Add a custom-field in the table MARC and manage it in MM01/MM02/MM03

Good day to all of you!
I have this task: To add a custom-field to the table MARC. This custom-field will be managed through the MM01/MM02/MM03 transaction as follows:
In the Basic Data 1 or Basic Data 2 the custom-field data will be added. Let's say the field is MATNR OBSOLETE.
I have searched and implemented the things in customizing: Made a copy of function group MGD1, added the field on the screen.
MY PROBLEM! How to manage it??? When the user enters MM01/MM02/MM03 and update this field, the field should be updated in MARC.
    1. I am not sure that this custom-field should be on Basic Data1 or Basic Data2.They want it at plant level.
    2. How to manage the data transfer from SAP Standard Program and my Custom Function Group.
PLs: Do not paste me link to sap technical site with that example, because there takes the custom fields and UPDATE a CUSTOM TABLE. I need to update MARC!
All the documentations i have read until now tell you how to add the field, ONLY the first part of the SOLUTION.
    Any help, pls?
    Good day and thank you!

    Hi Alex,
In which way you are trying to update that custom filed. Have you written any logic in EXITS/BADIS?
    http://pavelgk.pbworks.com/f/6729224-Implement-Screen-Exit-for-MM01-Adding-New-Fields-in-Screen.pdf
    and
Just read the OSS note mentioned earlier.
    Symptom
You want to integrate customer-specific fields in material master maintenance.
    Other terms
    SAPLMGMM, RMDATIND, ALE, CI_MMH1, EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001
    Solution
To add customer-specific fields to an existing material master table (such as MARA or MARC) , you can proceed as follows as of Release 3.0C:
          1. Use an append structure to add the fields to the required table in the Dictionary (this is not a modification; for details, see the SAP document "ABAP/4 Dictionary"). In Release 3.x, the length of the field names must be the same as  the standard five character fields. This is necessary because of dynamic assignments. As of Release 4.0A, the lengths of the field names can be longer than five characters. If the changes of the fields should be recorded in the change document and taken into account during ALE distribution, set the 'Change document-relevant' indicator for the corresponding data elements. For table MARA in Release 3.x, you must also enhance the database view MARU because the database changes are carried out using this view. This small modification is no longer necessary as of Release 4.0A because the database view MARU is enhanced automatically when you enhance table MARA or the include EMARA (which is the data part of table MARA).
          2. Enhancing online maintenance in customized material master maintenance:
Define a subscreen with your customer-specific fields in a customer-specific function group created as a copy of the standard function group MGD1.
In Customizing, assign this subscreen to a maintenance screen using the "Copy customized material master" function. For details, see the Implementation Guide (IMG). As of Release 4.0A, program COPYMGD1 is available. You can use this program to create customer-specific function groups as required. This program is also incorporated in the Customizing function 'Configure customized material master'. Ensure that each field of the subscreen has a field statement in the flow logic, otherwise the data is not transported correctly. You can use subscreen SAPLMGD1 2002 as an example.
If you want these fields to be subject to standard field selection, you must add new entries for them to the central field table for material master maintenance (T130F):
Application examples for standard field selection:
The field is mandatory and is to be flagged with a "?".
The field belongs exclusively to the purchasing user department. Purchasing data and MRP data are both contained on one screen. However, the MRP controller is not to see the purchasing data.
The following data is required for each field:
                a) Field name        (T130F-FNAME)
                b) Field selection group (T130F-FGRUP)
Here, you should use a standard field group if the customer field is subject to the same field selection as the standard fields of the standard field group. If it is not, use a customer-specific field group.
You must then check and, if necessary, modify the attribute of the field group using the function "Maintain field selection for data screens" in Customizing under "Logistics Basic Data -> Material Master".
Field groups 111 through 120 that are not used in the standard system are reserved as customer-specific field groups. As of Release 3.0F, additional customer field groups are available. (For details, see the IMG).
                c) Maintenance status (T130F-PSTAT)
List of the user departments that may maintain the field. You can display possible values by using the input help for the maintenance status field in the Customizing activity "Configure Material Master" when maintaining logical screens.
                d) Reference        (T130F-KZREF)
This indicator must be set if the field from the reference material should be proposed during creation with reference.
Note: You cannot yet use Customizing to enhance table T130F; you can use only transaction SE16 (Data Browser) or transaction SM31. Future releases will include a separate Customizing function for maintaining customer-specific fields. See Note 306966. By implementing this note you can add entries to table T130F within Customizing. This type of maintenance is possible as of Release 4.5B.
You may change the entries for standard fields only with regard to the reference data and field selection group. Changing other data for standard fields constitutes a modification. Therefore, you cannot use the Customizing function "Assign Fields to Field Groups" to change this data.
In addition, you must not add new standard fields to table T130F.
          3. If you want to maintain customer-specific fields using data transfer by direct input or via ALE distribution, proceed as follows:
Add the fields to central field table T130F (see above).
Add the customer-specific fields to the data structures for the data transfer (for example, BMMH1 for the main data).
Also, add the customer-specific fields to the tables in which the incorrect data is stored during direct input. These tables have the same name as the corresponding master data table and also have the suffix _TMP.
For example: If you add customer-specific fields to table MARA, you should add the same fields to table MARA_TMP.
If you use ALE, you must also add fields to the IDoc. To process enhanced IDocs, you can use enhancement MGV00001 with customer exit EXIT_SAPLMV01_002 for creating the IDocs and customer exit EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 for posting the IDocs.
Prior to Release 3.0E, enhancing structure BMMH1 constitutes a modification. In this case, you must add the new fields tot the end of the structure before the last field (SENDE = record end indicator).
As of Release 3.0F, structure BMMH1 contains the customer include CI_MMH1, which is part of the enhancement MGA0001. Here, you must proceed as follows:
                a) Add the customer-specific fields to include CI_MMH1.
The names of the fields in CI_MMH1 must be identical to those of the corresponding fields in material master tables MARA, MARC and so on.
Important: The fields must be CHAR type fields. Therefore, create CHAR type data elements whose lengths are identical to the output length of your fields in  table MARA and so on. Use these data elements in include CI_MMH1, but use the field names from table MARA and so on.
                b) Activate include CI_MMH1.
                c) If you have not used customer structure ZMMH1 before, create it as a copy of structure BMMH1 and delete the standard fields that you do not require. You are not permitted to delete field STYPE and include CI_MMH1 when doing this. If you have already used structure ZMMH1, add include CI_MMH1 to it.
                d) Activate structure ZMMH1. This also adds the customer-specific fields to ZMMH1.
Run program RMDATING. This program generates routines which are supplied to your customer-specific fields from the input file. As of Release 4.5A, you also need to activate the routines/function modules generated by program RMDATING (especially, the MAT_MOVE_BMMH1_XXXX modules). Details about this subject (especially the procedure when using customer structure ZMMH1) are described in the IMG for transferring the material data under item 'Maintain Transfer Structure'. Also, check the declaration of structure WA in program RMMMBIMC to see whether it is declared with sufficient length. If necessary, enhance the declaration (for the time being, this still constitutes a minor modification).
In addition, lengthen domain DI_DATA with CHAR 5000. As of Release 3.1H, this has already been done.
Important: When using customer-specific fields, you can use only structure ZMMH1 to transfer the data. Otherwise, after the next SAP upgrade which contains new standard fields in structure BMMH1, the input files no longer match. If you want these new standard fields to be transferred, add them after your customer-specific fields (the order of the fields in structure ZMMH1 does not need to be the same as the order of the fields in BMMH1).
If you want foreign key dependencies or fixed domain values to be checked, or another check for a customer field, this is possible up to and including Release 3.0D only by modifying the corresponding check function modules. As of Release 3.0E, you can use function exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 (SAP enhancement MGA00001) for these purposes.
If you want to use engineering change management to schedule future changes for your customer-specific fields or you want to use the 'Display at Key Date' function, execute program GENERATE in addition. This program generates the necessary assignments for interpreting the change documents. With regard to engineering change management, you must read Notes 60281, 60973, and 48962.
To date, it is not possible to integrate customer-specific tables in material master maintenance without making a modification. However, you can create customer-specific development objects containing the essential additional logic. You can then integrate these development objects in your system as part of only a minor modification.
check this link. It may helps you to solve your issue.
    Thanks
    Sravan
