  • SAP QUERY copied to z program.

    Hi ,
    There was an standard sap query ,system had generated a program for this ,this program is copied to a Zprogram and some modificationa had been done for the zprogram in_sap4.7_ version.Now they want this z program to be copied to ECC6.0.Here my question is as the z program is a copy of ssystem generated program,if we copy this program to ecc6.0 will it work or not?.

    I don't think it will work. in the generated program you can see some function modules also. those functions will be in SAP name space. Better recreate the same in ECC6.0, instead of copying the code.

  • Query - copy layout - really need this

    Hello,
    is there a way, a workaround, or what so ever to
    copy / download a Layout of a Query.
    (and then import it ... )
    I really need this so please explain me how I could do this!
    thx in advance!
    greetings
    Steven

    Micky,
    I already knew how to transport a query itself but my problem
    is that there are "layouts" designed (and assigned) to these query.
    so when i want to copy or transport a query, i also want to transport/copy the
    layouts that are created...
    example: Query Q has 2 layouts assigned to it (L1 and L2)
    so now, I want to copy Q > Q2 so that it also has those two layouts included
    so if you know a trick to copy a query (with the layouts inside - or a way to assign these layouts afterwards)
    please let me know!!
    thx already for your reaction

    Hi,
    As told above you can copy Queries from one Target to another Target by RSZC, if the fields are same in both the Info Providers.
    Or else open your existing Query and slect Save as give new Technical name.

  • Error while copy query between infocubes

    I was trying to copy a query between infocubes and ended with error message.
    Query copied from Infocube A to Infocube B. Infocube B has an additional dimension with 2 char's when compared to infocube A.
    Using transaction RSZC, I tried to copy the query, but ended up with following error..
    1.Program error in class COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
    2.An exception with the type CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause
    3.The system tried to insert a data record, even though a data record with the same primary key already exists
    I also tried using function module RSZ_I_COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE, which was of no help. I get the following message with the function module...
    1. Program error in class RS_TESTFRAME_CALL method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
    2. An exception with the type CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause
    3. The system tried to insert a data record, even though a data record with the same primary key already exists
    I have also tried a solution in BW expert by using debugging mode of the above function module, again this was of no help..
    I am BI 7.0 SP09...
    Any ideas, Please....

    Hello,
    Are you trying to copy Business Content delivered Queries?
    I had also got this error when copying over all queries from one cube to another. Reason for this message was plain simple - I did not realise that the sender Cube had Business Content Query which we cannot copy over using RSZC as system tries to create another query with suffix as 0****_1. We cannot create query in SAP user namespace. Error message is different then the reason behind it.

  • [SQ01] Copy query from /SAPQUERY/AM

    Hi there. I try to copy a 01 query from /SAPQUERY/AM usergroup to my testgroup (ZWOP) to have possibility working with report copy.
    But when I  enter /SAPQUERY/AM then choose 01 and press 'Copy' icon, the default target usergroup is /SAPQUERY/AM and I can't change it into ZWOP.
    When I try to put a copy into /SAPQUERY/AM, I receive Object can only be created in development class for namespace /SAPQUERY/
    1) Could You tell me how to make that query copy ?
    2) Is there a possibility to define report structure with variants to show different report structure depending on CompanyCode ?

    Thank's for help! That's what I'm searching for
    But now I have another problem.
    I copied usergroup into my test ZWOP group with all queries. But there is a problem, because InfoSet /SAPQUERY/AM01 need some modifications to meet the requirements.
    For example I need to have possibility to add info about Asset's Serial Number in my query.
    So I copied /SAPQUERY/AM01 into my ZAM InfoSet. Then make modifications on the copy (ZAM), generate (button 'Generate'). In the next step I applied ZAM InfoType to ZWOP usergroup.
    Now when I try to edit my query (copy of original 01), I can't see Serial Number on the components list so I can't add that info to report
    I've noticed that when I give my ZWOP usergroup to SQ01, there is still '/SAPQUERY/AM01' InfoSet assigned to query. How can I change that InfoSet to my ZAM ? Maybe that could solve the problem

    Thanks very much for any help with this.

    * Consider putting parentheses around the 3 oracle tables so the 3 of them can possibly be treated as a unit.  Assuming there's some performance impact due to the linked server, this MIGHT help, may do a little joining over on the Oracle side of
    the world.  In either case, it's a little cleaner.  They syntax below, including a few extra line breaks for clarity, should be correct.  (try the change to the ON clause suggested above too, though).
    The parentheses will not help much. SQL Server will remote (as the term is) the query to the Oracle instance if this appears to have a lower cost and there is nothing the blocks remoting.
    On the other hand, OPENQUERY can be an alternative to ensure that this happens:
     left outer join
        OPENQUERY (linknametooracledb,
                   'SELECT ...
                    FROM   "M01Tab01_Main" mn
                    JOIN   "M01Tab06_Ord" mt ON mn."Master_Recid_1" = mt."Master_Recid_1"
                    JOIN   "M01Tab09_Dx" mdx on mn."Master_Recid_1" = mdx."Master_Recid_1"') mn on td.visitnumber = mn."Pt_Acct_5"
    But this presumes that you there are no columns from the SQL Server side that are used to select data from the Oracle side. That is, the above could lead to far much data being brought across the wire.
    Then again, this does not really seem to relate to the original problem where a stored procedure was not working at all. That problem is not very easy to assist with since code post is the not the authentic code as pointed out in the thread. For instance
    inner JOIN linknametooracledb."M01Tab06_Ord"
    Has nothing to do with Oracle, but accesses a table in the schema linknametooracledb.
    I think to help dmcm, you need a really good crystal ball - at least as long he/she does not share the actual code.

  • Analyze: PL/SQL function body returning an SQL query

    I need to obtain the final SQL returned by the PL/SQL function.
    I will be using this final SQL in a procedure.
    Please provide some advise on how to obtain the SQL. I have already looked in the DBMS_SQL package but I am not sure if that is the right place to look into.
    Regards,
    Sumit

    I am trying to modify the export_to_excel package from Denes kubicek to provide me an excel from PL/SQL function body returning an SQL query.
    Here is the simplified PLSQL code in the region source.
    declare
    l2 varchar2(2000) null;
    begin
    l2:= 'Select NAME,ORIGINATED,OWNER,ORIGINATOR,';
    l2:= l2 || 'DESIGNATED_UNIT,SOURCE,';
    l2:= l2 || 'REFERENCE';
    l2:= l2 || ' from MV_DETAILED_DATA';
    return l2;
    end;
    I would like to get the SQL returned from this PLSQL and use it in a procedure to get the Excel.
    As you mentioned earlier "copy the generated query string into an application item". [ +In the PL/SQL function body returning an SQL query, copy the generated query string into an application item. The app item value can then be passed as a parameter value to the procedure+ ]
    I do not know how to dynamically excute this PLSQL in the region source and obtain the returned value in my procedure.
    Best Regard,
    Sumit.

    Hi,
    ok. Can you please answer the following questions?
    1) Does your query run in the BEx analyzer?
    2) Do you use 0CALDAY in your query? If yes, can you save a copy of it, remove any reference to 0CALDAY (for the query copy) and try to build a universe (using the copy)?
    3) What BOBJ version are you using? Any fix packs installed?
