Query elements tables
Hi all,
I have made a transport release ,obviously it failed due to an element not available in active version and another element is missing.
now i have the ID's of these two element. i have to know the object to that id in query.
help please.
regards,
rakesh.
Hi,
Instead of finding the objects related to those technical object IDs, you can transport the query again with all the elements captured in the transport request.
In transport connection, while capturing the query make sure that you have captured all the elements. When you save a query into request, filter on objects with "ELEM". This will give you all the elements.

Yogesh.

SAP BW Bex and Query Element Tables
Hi,
Can someone please help me in finding out the table where actually the Bex Elements ( rows, columns , free characteristics and key figures ) stored. Is there a single place in BW where I can extract this information easily ( without runing the Bex Query).
Thanks ,
PurbaliHi Purbali,
No actually there is no single place when it is coming to BEx query elements. There are many tables where these are stored.
The very basic tables are:
RSRREPDIR - Directory of all queries
RSZELTDIR - Queries elements
However it is not easy to sort those tables. Also useful transaction is RSRTQ (ABAP report RSRQ_QUERYDEFINITION) which provides a lot of info on queries w/o running the query or opening it in BEx Quert Designer.

Deleting Query Elements From Backend Tables
Hi All,
i have made some changes to a CKF and executed the report. It got executed but when i reopened the query i am not able to expand the RKF n CKFs on the left side. Whenever i tried to expand them the query designer is exiting.
I tried deleting the query element which i modified from the backend tables using RSZDELETE but i am not able to do so as this CKF is being used in 2 more RKFs.
Could you please let me know how to delete a query element which is reusable from the backend.
Regards,
MKHi Satyam,
I deleted the Query which was containing the CKF and RKF that i changed earlier. when i tried to delete these 2 by kFs in RSZDELETE i am not able to delete them.
Scenario 1:
when i tried to delete the CKF 1 ..the system is displaying msg tht this is being used in RKF 1.
when i tried to delete the RKF1..then system is displaying msg tht this is being used in CKF 1.
i mean there is a circular reference which has happened b/w these two KFs.
Could you let me know how to get rid of it as i am not able to open the Query in Bex nor in RSRT.
Regards,

Table that can give information about Query element
Hi All,
Please can you help, is there any table which can show the query elements belongs to which Query or Object.Hi Sulochan,
You can go to rsa1 - Transport connection and select the webtemplate there. It would show you all the elements in the template along with their technical name. That should be of help. Else, you can copy and paste the technical name in the following tables and check if they are present in it.
RSZELTDIR Directory of the reporting component elements
RSZELTTXT Texts of reporting component elements
RSZELTXREF Directory of query element references
RSRREPDIR Directory of all reports (Query GENUNIID)
RSZCOMPDIR Directory of reporting components
RSZWOBJ Storage of the Web Objects
RSZWOBJTXT Texts for Templates/Items/Views
RSZWOBJXREF Structure of the BW Objects in a Template
RSZWTEMPLATE Header Table for BW HTML Templates
Hope this helps.

Error while activating query element.
Dear All
Can any one tell this error .
When iam transporting the queries to BI production there is an errror in Transportation log that error while activating query element.
But the querysis fine in Bi quality.
Error : Error while activating "6899QYGVHJPGYUBLKA9SPHORZ".Hi
Might be that query element was deleted(not used n was used before in dev) while creating cross check once in your query.
First check what is that element which is not transported?
use table RSZELTDIR to find out weather its a Var or CKF or RKF etc...
then check for the same in the query in QA weather its active and ported fine to QA if not try to collect the element and transport to QA in a separate request.

Can I select the query elements of structure manually in transport conn
Hello all,
I am trying to select a structure and the elements of the structure manually in transport connection. I am able to slect the structure from from query elements -> structure but now how can i select (manually) the items like new selections and new formulas that are inlcuded in my structure.
When I go and search for that query element in table V_ELTDIR_TXT it says that the the items of my structure are RKF but when i try to serach under query elements -> RKF i dont see them.
Can someone help here.
Thanks in advanceHi Kamaljeet ,
you are trying to tell me that i can just slect my query and structure (manually..so basically only 2 query elements in transport request)...and transport that and it should take care of selections and formulas in structure.
I have created a transport as per what you have told, waiting on basis to transport it. Will update you in few minutes.
Thanks again -
Query Element in Transport Connection
Gurus,
When i transported my report to production it failed because some elements are
missing;
Question1 - How do i identify the objects based on the GUID (that long alpha
numeric number).
Question2 - I don't know how i missed couple of elements because i have
collected the query element in transport connection, thought it
would bring any object associated with the query.
Thanks a lot..Hi Geni,
I would take the objects which are in red in the failed request.
copy that object from the list which is the ELTUID.
Then goto se16 > RSZELTDIR table
Enter that ELTUID which is the first field and execute
This will give u the name of the element which is missing from the transport request.
Then collect that element and transport again.
Hope this Helps.
Thanks

How can I related Query name with Query elements?
Hello gurus!
I am working with BI7, content technical, well I need to find out a solution where I can related Query name with query elements (KYF, CKY, Restricted Key Figures, var, etc)
In master data 0tctquery, exist the query element, but, I can not related with object are from what query...
Do you know how I can do it??? some solution???
Best Regards"it is impossible to relate both tables" ???
hmmm... these are exactly the tables the Query Designer uses to "build" up the query... so trust me, they do relate
now to get this information in an InfoCube is a totally different thing... how do you expect to report on this if you should get it in an InfoCube? let's take a simple example... assume you have a query (QUERY_1) which looks like:
Sales Sales
Sales Org Customer Qty Value
1000 ABC 10 PC 500
1000 DEF 5 PC 250
in your Cube you would get:
QueryName QueryElement
QUERY_1 0SALESORG
QUERY_1 0CUSTOMER
QUERY_1 ZSLSQTY
QUERY_1 ZSLSVAL
if you have free characteristics, you'll add more lines... same for variables, CKFs, RKFs, conditions, ...
I guess it would be better to create a little ABAP report using the above tables (oh, you'll be needing a lot more tables if you wish more detail) -
Query Elements Description for a specific query - Useful for Translation
Hello everyone,
I would like to know how I can determine a list of all query elements (with their Element ID) within a single query. So, based on a query (technical name), I would like to have a list of all query elements used.
I would prefer a list of Element IDs, so then I can check if the proper description of each element is available in different languages (in table RSZELTTXT).
Or if there is a handy tool to check wether all elements are properly translated (and then I don't mean the translation module in the Adlinistration Workbnech, because it is not handy or opening Bex Query designer in different languages), please let me know.
Kind regards from Belgium,
Ben De WindtHi,
Please check for personalization, if the userid has hidden it?

How to check a query element based on the technical name of a query builde?
We often see, e.g., 401OQ2EEM5EJH4GQ5N2HFNE7P as a query element of a query builder. How to know what kind of InfoObj. or R2R link it would be base on the long technical name? We remember there is a table to look these up, what's the table name and how to look for it's description name?
Thankshi Ari,
The table you recommend seems to only work for Report to Report link, but not for query element, is there any other table that we can find which InfoObj. is used for this long technical name in query?
Thanks and we have given you rewards points. -

Transport request failed-inactive version of query element.
I have transported 70 reports from BI development to production.
the request has failed due to inactive version of the query element.
How to find which report the query element belongs.
Please advice how should i troubleshoot this issue.Murali, check this table :RSZELTXREF
enter the element name in field TELTUID. Then from the result, select the value of field SELTUID and enter it as value of field ELTUID to check data of table RSZELTDIR.
That will give you the query name.

Ashwin.
