Query not returing Exchange server name

I am running the following command to retrieve the status of a process. I am using get-exchangeserver to list all the Exchange servers to run get-process. In addition to returning the services which are running I need to know which servers the service is
on which is failing with System.ServiceProcess.service?
What am I missing
Get-ExchangeServer | ForEach{get-service vrn* -computername $_ | Select-Object
@{label="Server"
;e={$_}},DisplayName,Name,Status}
Output:

If you format your code correctly it will be easier for you to see the mistakes and how it works:
Get-ExchangeServer |
ForEach{
$server=$_.Name
get-service vrn* -computername $server |
Select-Object @{N='Server';E={$server}},DisplayName,Name,Status

  • Outlook no resolving Exchange Server name , resolving another name like SID Object

    Hello All ,
I Have Exchange 2013 installed on windows server 2012 , Outlook no resolving Exchange Server name , resolving another name like SID Object . Please see the attached file below .
how can fix the issue ?
    Thank you

    Hi,
Please run following command to verify whether the Outlook resolved the correct Exchange Server GUID:
Get-Mailbox MailboxName | FL name, ExchangeGUID
Following Screenshot is the test result in my lab, for your reference:
If we get the correct GUID, it means we have already connected to Exchange Server successfully.
The GUID format for the server name in Exchange 2013 is an expected behavior.

  • Change the Exchange server name in outlook

    Hello All,
Configured two Exchange server 2010. Both server have Mailbox, CAS and HUB installed. All the user use outlook (Exchange Client). All outlook configured with exchange server host name not mapi name. Now i need to change the exchange server name in outlook.
Is there any procedure to change the Exchange server name for outlook automatically. Please suggest.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Let’s begin with the partition named when RPC endpoint Changes in the following article:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/aljackie/archive/2013/11/14/outlook-rpc-end-point-and-pf-the-microsoft-exchange-administrator-has-made-a-change-that-requires-you-quit-and-restart-outlook.aspx
“To add further on the cas array, the Outlook clients with an existing Outlook profile would continue to use the old RPC endpoint rather than the new RPC endpoint (even though Autodiscover detected the change). This is because the old RPC endpoint does not
return an ecWrongServer response to the client. The RPC endpoint accepts the connection; therefore, Outlook ignores the Autodiscover response because it has a working connection.”
In this case, except with recreating a profile, we can move mailboxes to force the Outlook client to do a profile discovery and update the profile based on new information.
For more information about moving mailboxes, please refer to the following article:

  • Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars.  I am not running exchange server.

Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars?  I am not running exchange server.

    hello,
BlackBerry devices do not support ActiveSync.
you have several ways, from best to less good :
    1)
if your company has set up Outlook Web Access, you can use the BIS connection of your device to connect to the Exchange server (email + Address book) through the url of the Outlook Web Access. The OWA needs to be accessible from outside the company.
    2)
if your company has setup an external link to the exchange server (can be accessible from outside the company), you can configure your BIS directly to the Exchange server (email only if I recall correctly)
    3)
if your company allows it, on your PC you can setup your email account to automatically forward all incoming emails to a third party email (like GMail or Hotmail), and then configure BIS to connect to that email provider. You will get push email. You can then setup a reply-to: field.
    4)
use a Windows Mobile phone that has the ActiveSync feature.

  • Exchange 2013 mailbox name resolving vs. exchange server name (mailbox rule)

    Hello guys,
I am running exchange 2007 and exchange 2013 CU7 in hybrid mode, while internal autodiscover a record is pointing to exchange 2007 client rule server.
When I configure outlook mailbox located on exchange 2007- I can use autodiscover using mail address ore resolve mailbox name vs. exchange server name.
When I configure outlook mailbox located on exchange 2013- I can configure it only using autodiscover mechanism ( email address - next- next etc.).
We are using EMC backup software which works with MAPI. Since I wasn't able to restore granular mailboxes, I contacted EMC and they claimed that it's very important to configure mailboxes resolving.
What should I check and configure to make it work?

    Hi,
I think if we want to browse single mailbox by backup software, it will be regard to resolve mailbox name using server name, I suggest you contact  EMC supplier to improve it.
By the way, they I type mailbox name which located on exchange 2013 server database and typing exchange 2007 cluster name, server name of exchange 2007 cluster changes automatically to exchange 2013 server on which this mailbox located.
A: first, we should make sure cluster was worked without any problem. Then make sure Exchange 2013 mailbox server was included in cluster.
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
    Best Regard,
    Jim

  • Migrate Notes from Exchange server 2007 to office 365

    Hi,
Anyone help me to how to migrate notes from exchange server 2007 to office 365 . My customer having notes on his existing exchange account  . We would like to move notes to office 365 .
Please help me or guide me .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vinoth

The way you're doing it has two very high hurdles.
First, you have to get the data out of an offline server and into Office 365.  That's hardly a trivial task.  If the server were online and reachable by the Internet you could use a move request or a third-party tool like MigrationWiz.
Second, if you do get the mail moved, you will want to synchronize the legacyExchangeDN attribute from the old organization into an X500 proxy address in Office 365 for all mailboxes to preserve mail replyability.

  • How do I find out my Microsoft Exchange Server name (I overwrote it by mistake!) for using Outlook

While trying to associate an email account with the Outlook account on my personal laptop I inadvertently overwrote the Microsoft Exchange Server name on the screen.  I am now unable to get into Outlook at all.  Can anyone advise how I can find
    it?Any help appreciated
    Cheers Dave

    Hi Dave,
You need to type the server name that was assigned by your mail administrator for the server running Exchange. So please ask your administrator for the Server name. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Exchange server name not changing in mail profile after migration from 2010 to 2013

Following a migration from 2010 to 2013 we are finding that for a number of users the old exchange server address stays in the mail profile (control panel -> mail -> e-mail accounts) which causes Outlook not to load.
We are able to go into control panel -> mail -> e-mail accounts and change this manually to the new exchange 2013 server address but we have quite a number of users and don't really want to do it manually.
Shouldn't it be updating automatically and if so why is it?

    Hi,
Yes, it should be changed by autodiscover. Does this issue occur to all the migrated users?
I have seen this kind of issues before when migrating from Exchange 2003/2007 to Exchange 2010. The most efficient way is to rebuild the Outlook profile.

  • Outlook 2010 not connecting exchange server

We have Exchange server on remote site. we have installed win7 SP1 and office 2010 SP2 and updated the system as well. but
outlook 2010 is always "asking password" or it shows "trying to connect" in status bar and then it got disconnect.  i have tryied configured  NTLM authentication, https proxy settings everything i have tryied as mentioned in
blogs but it doesn't worked out to me but outlook is working fine in other system with same settings and H/W and S/W.  can any one kindly help me on this

    Hi,
You can first use Remote Connectivity Analyzer to test if you can connect to the Exchange server:
    https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/
We may need to repair the Outlook profile to fix the problem:
In Outlook, click the arrow next to Account Settings on the
File tab, and then click Account Settings.
In the Account Settings dialog box, select your account on the
E-mail tab, and then click Repair. Follow the instructions in the repair wizard.
When the repair is finished, restart Outlook.
As you mentioned, Outlook always asks for password. If the issue persists, check this setting:
Go to File tab -> Info -> Account Settings -> Account Settings…
Highlight your Exchange account and click Change button.
    Click on More Settings button.
    Select the Security tab.
Under the User Identification, make sure the “Always prompt for logon credentials” option is not selected.
Outlook may continuously asks for password due to the corrupted credentials, we can try the following steps as well:
Go to Control Panel, and then click Credential Manager.
Note If View by is set to Category, click User Accounts first, and then click Credential Manager.
Locate the set of credentials that has Outlook in the name.
Click the name to expand the set of credentials, and then click Remove from Vault.
Repeat step 3 for any additional sets of credentials that have the word Outlook in the name.
I hope the information is helpful.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • Mail and Exchange Server Name Auto Resolution

    Here's the configuration:
Exchange 2003 Server mail system (multiple servers)
Apple Mail under Leopard and Tiger (all of the updates applied)
Active Directory user accounts (Macs are NOT bound to A.D.)
When running the Apple Mail New Account configuration using the account type "Exchange", Mail does not seem to want to resolve the incoming mail server field to the proper Exchange server on which the user's mailbox is homed. This causes the setup process to fail. Entourage 04 and legacy mail clients (Outlook 2001, 98 and Exchange 5) all can resolve this with no problem. Since Mail uses WebDAV, I've tried using our OWA URL in that field as well, however that doesn't work either. I can get around this by locating where the user's mailbox is on one of our 8 Exchange boxes and then inputting the exact server name, but having to get that information every time makes things difficult for our field techs.
This is definitely not a problem with our DNS either as that resolves fine.
Anyone else seeing this or have a suggestion?

  • Outlook 2011 Exchange server name changes

I set the server name in Outlook 2011 to the "public" FQDN.  Network DNS is set to resolve this name to the private IP address of the Exchange server.  This configuration works properly for all my users, whether they are connected locally or remotely.
For one computer, though, when connected locally, Outlook changes to the "private" FQDN of the Exchange server.  This undesired change then requires editing the server name when the computer is remotely connected.
How do I get Outlook to leave the server name as the "public" FQDN?

Try going to [mactopia.com], which is Microsoft's Mac help area or you could go to [microsoft.com/mac]. These Discussion boards are for Apple products, so you should find help over there.

  • Recurring meeting in Outlook 2011 calendar but NOT on Exchange server (OWA) or iPhone

Macbook Pro w/Outlook 2011.  User has one (of many) recurring meetings he accepted (a weekly meeting) and it shows fine in his Outlook calendar
    (setup for Exchange).
This one recurring meeting does NOT show up on the users' iPhone or in OWA (meaning it is not on the Exchange server).
How can I get this one recurring meeting to sync (or at least get moved) to his calendar on the Exchange server so it can sync to his iPhone?
Asking the person who originated the meeting to re-invite is not an option.
    Thank you.

Are there any sync issues logged on the client?  You may want to turn on logging (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj984217(v=office.14).aspx) and see of there
are any communication issues.  If you believe this to be a corruption in the Outlook 2011 DB, you may have to rebuild it (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2360509/en-us).
Anyways, I would have them look for the original meeting request in their mailbox via OWA.  It might have been accepted and moved to deleted items, but the original meeting request should be there unless it was too long ago. If it is found, accept it
in OWA (no reply).  Then look for sync-issues to the Mac client.
If you cannot do the above, check out
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2547327/en-us and see if that process changes your behavior.
    Hopefully that helps!

  • SQL Query not working for column names with spaces

    Hi People..
We have a strange situation wherein, the column name in the database table has a space inbetween like "Constant Name". While we write a JDBC statement code with the select query we get an exception for invalid syntax. It will help us in a great way if you have anything to inform us on this..
    Thanks
    Prabz

Using case sensitive names and names with spaces in it is not a good practice.
However, I believe the SQL standard accounts for this with quoted identifiers. I believe the syntax is
    . select "My Field1", "My Field2"
    . from "My Table'
Have also seen the following although it might be MS Access specific.
    . select [My Field1], [My Field2]
    . from [My Table]

    Hi monolithickernal,
As brenle said, could you please tell us what version of Exchange you are using?
And you could use following command to check the database configuration parameters.
    Get-MailboxDatabase | Select Name,RpcClientAccessServer
