Quiz Results Problem

I have created a 15 question quiz within Captivate 5 (not exporting to LMS) and I'm generating a results page.  Even though I answer all questions correctly, the results page repeatedly shows that I am only answering 6 questions correctly. Please provide any direction to correct this.
Thank you!

Hi there,
  You are facing the issue on a MAC or Win version of Captivate. Is it possible for you to share the .cptx file with us so that we can investigate the issue on our end? Please send the file to [email protected]

  • Adobe Captivate 6 problem with Review area text on Quiz results page

    Hi,
    I am using Adobe Captivate 6 and I have a test at the end of my project with the built in 'Quiz results page' at the end.
    However, the standard 'review area' provided always seems to play up for me. I have changed the 'quiz results messages' through the preferences and changed the font of the review area, but everytime I play my project the message displayed is in a different font that I did not set and the size is so large that the sentence goes off the screen. It has done this on numerous projects.
    I have changed the font of the review area and it shows up on my normal view, but everytime I preview the project or publish it, the font changes back to a strange default.
    Does anyone know how I can fix this?
    Thank you.

    Hannah,
    That is a very well-known bug in the last Captivate versions... if you screen these forums you'll find multiple threads complaining about it. Some fonts will work, I think Calibri works (not all styles however) and all the other fonts revert to Times New Roman. I'm a bit puzzled that you call it a 'strange default'.

  • Help!  Quiz Results page problem

    Hopefully someone can help me. When I create a quiz and have
    a quiz results page, I have to click the Next button two or even
    sometimes three times before I can continue to the next slide.
    Anyone have an idea why? Thank you!

    This happens to me, too. Often times I have to click twice.
    Sorry I have no solution, but at least we're not alone

  • Problems e-mailing quiz results

    I'm trying to send quiz results to an e-mail address - it
    does that fine at the end of the quiz, but it also sends a set of
    "fail" stats on most slides, so the person taking the quiz ends up
    with a stack of e-mail messages to send! I've tried different
    variations of settings in Quiz Manager, I've also tried select the
    actual buttons on the screens concerned and under Properties saying
    that I do not want results from this screen...but I still get them.
    Am I doing something really stupid, and is there an easy
    answer to this?
    Any help gratefully received!

    I don't have an answer for you, but I am having the exact
    same issue, so I am thinking if you are doing something stupid, so
    am I, or MAYBE there is something wrong with Captivate2. I did this
    very successfully in the previous version so I don't know what
    could be causing the issue.
    P.S. I just downloaded a project from the website and
    converted it Captivate2 and published. Previously, it worked but
    after conversion it began behaving the same way.

  • Can we remove the Continue button from Quiz Results?

    Hi Everyone,
    Is there any way to remove the continue button from the Quiz Results page?
    I have a captivate file in which there is a Thank you slide at the end after the Quiz results slide. Now, here's the problem - The user is just finishing the quiz and closing the browser tab - which is not showing the completion status inside LMS. The user must need to view the Thank you slide  -  so that the LMS can respond as "Completed" status.
    Now, I want to remove the Continue button on Quizzes result slide so that user doesnot need to go ahead to next slide to complete the course. And i will put the Thank You message here in Quizzes result slide only.
    Can I remove the continue button from the Quiz Results page so that it can be the last slide?
    Regards
    Vikas Sharma

    Removing the Continue button from the Quiz Results slide is NOT a good idea in my experience.  Clicking the Continue button triggers functions in Captivate to terminate the quiz and commit the score to the LMS.  If this button is not clicked, Captivate may not be sure the person has decided they're done with the quiz and wants their score to be captured by the LMS at that point.  There are often other buttons on the Quiz Results slide to offer the user the option of Retaking or Reviewing the Quiz.  Only the Continue button is designed to take them further beyond the Quiz Result slide.
    Like yourself, I have also found learners often fail to grasp the importance of the Continue button and don't realise they need to do something extra (beyond reaching the Quiz Results slide) in order for their score to be captured.  So what I usually do is rename the Continue button to something more meaningful such as: Register Your Score, or Record Quiz Results Now.  Having a name like this (and making the button nice and large and bold so that it's not easy to miss) clearly tells people that they need to click this button if they want their score to be retained.  It's just a simple change, but it practically eliminated all issues we had with people just closing down their browser when they saw the Quiz Results.

  • How do I see email address (LearnerID) in Quiz Results Analyzer

    Useing Captivate 5.5
    Reporting Quiz results to a local server.
    Q: How can I see the "LearnerID" (students email address) in the Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer?
    When the student clicks on "Post Results" and enters their name and email address in the pop-up window the email address is collected. You can see the email address (LearnerID) in the resulting XML file that's saved in the CaptivateResults folder.
    Problem is I can't see the email address in the Analyzer, and don't see an option to include it. How can I see the "LearnerID" or the students email address in the Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer? From here I want to export a CSV file.

    Thanks for your response. The quiz results analyzer is awesome, but without the display of email addresses it is not a total solution.
    I'm using an internal server and what I found out is that the .xml file that Captivate creates in the CaptivateResults folder (that Captivate also creates) contains the email addresses.
    So, rather than use the analyzer, I will have to figure out the best way to view email addresses from the xml file. If anyone has a solution that you are happy with, please let me know.

  • Quiz result not showing up in Edge

    Hi there Edgers
    Really hoping someone can help me out with this problem. I've used Redesigns code(Seen Below) to design a quiz in Animate.
    I have two problems, when the first question is answered, it skips to the 3rd question instead of the 2nd. I am not sure why this is as I have have checked for overlapping buttons, there are none and it does not occur on any other questions, only the first. Second problem is the quiz reult is not showing up at the end, I have the "grade" and "result" divs in my timeline but when they are reached they do not change to display the quiz results.
    Help would be much appeciated

                        sym.play("fail");
    As a side note, this quiz appears at the end of a 8 section mulitmedia learning environment. The code obove is the only code present in the "creationcomplete" window, the rest is done in the timeline.
    George

    In you if statement you need to change  the if statement from i=7 to i==7;  when you compare you need the double equal sign.
    var FinalScoreHolder = q1 + q2 + q3 + q4 + q5 +q6 +q7;
              if (i==7){
                        //var FinalScoreHolder = q1 + q2 + q3;
                        sym.$("grade").html("You scored "+FinalScoreHolder+"%");
                        if (FinalScoreHolder >= 90) {
                        // play the timeline from the given position (ms or label)
                        sym.play("pass");
                        } else {
                        // play the timeline from the given position (ms or label)
                        sym.play("fail");

  • How do I stop background fading on Quiz Results slide

    Hi
    I'm using Captivate 6 and having a whole heap of problems creating a quiz using question pools. First one - how do I stop the background fading away on the Quiz results slide? The background is from a master slide and the results slide has the settings in the screenshot attached
    I've tried moving changing the length on the timeline, but this then makes the Continue button unclickable for ages. The background fades once it is clickable in Preview mode (see screenshot below)

    Hello,
    Please go that Master Slide and click on that image and under Properties Inspector check the "Transition" option
    It should not be "Fade In" or "Fade Out", it should be "No Transition" :
    Hope this helps !!
    Thanks,

  • Error when posting captivate quiz results

    I would like to posting Captivate quiz results to Acrobat.com. I created an account, but when I click Post Results and log in, I get a 'Send' button option. When I select 'Send', the message 'Unknown Error' appears and the results do not get posted.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    I am also still having the same problem, so it looks like this still hasn't been fixed.
    Posting results worked fine but lately everyone is getting the unknown error which is embarrassing when you are pushing directors to complete this only to be told it isn't working and wasted their time.
    Sort it out Adobe!

  • Continue button on Quiz Results Slide not working Captivate 7

    I have the Quiz Settings set to Continue when the user passes the quiz. However, when the user clicks the Continue button on the Quiz Results Slide, nothing happens. I want the user to be able to continue to the next (and final!) slide in the project. The timing for the Quiz Results slide is set to be active for 7 seconds. Umm, suggestions for a fix? Thanks. This problem has been driving me nuts since I'm so close to finishing!

    I changed the timing on the results slide back down to being active for 1.5 seconds so that's what will show up in the screen shot below. I also included a screen shot for the Pass/Fail settings. Thanks.

  • Quiz scope problems in Captivate 7

    I have created a project that consists of a series of slides with quiz questions interspersed. For example:
    Slide 1
    Slide 2
    Question 1
    Question 2
    Slide 3
    Slide 4
    Question 3
    Question 4
    Slide 5
    Slide 6
    Question 5
    Question 6
    (Result slide)
    Summary
    If the user fails the quiz he can either
    retake it, or
    review the submitted answers and the correct ones in preparation for retaking it.
    If option 2 is taken the user should then be able to retake the quiz.The problem I have having is with this option (2); the questions stay in review mode even if I reload the course. I assume this must relate to the quiz scope.
    Having looked at the blogs etc I thought that the quiz scope started at the first question and ended with the result slide. So I should be able to navigate to Slide 1 or the Summary and thereby reset the quiz. However when I do this and then return to Question 1 the quiz is still in review mode. I must be doing something wrong and would appreciate some guidance.
    TIA
    Andrew

    Sorry but Review/Retake process for regular question slides is not as you expect (by design): if the user Reviews, he cannot use any other attempt on Quiz level, even though he didn't exhaust his attempts.
    Have a look at: http://blog.lilybiri.com/question-question-slides-in-captivate  and   http://blog.lilybiri.com/question-question-slides-part-2
    This is not linked with the quiz scope at all. Quiz scope's role is, when the user gets out of the scope, that quiz attempt is considered being finished. In Captivate 6 and later, the quiz scope has become dynamic if you use Remediation feature.

  • Captivate 7 Quiz Results - Will not close the quiz!

    Hi everyone, I'm having a REALLY hard time configuring Captivate 7 to auto close when the quiz is done at the end of a presentation.  The last slide in each of my presentations is the quiz results page, and no matte rhow I configure it, whether to exit with JavaScript, Exit, Close or continue to a new slide with an exit button, nothing will work.  Can someone please help with this?

    I'm glad to see others are having similar problems.  We have a problem with the Exit button on the playbar.  We have been using it for years in our CP6 courseware, with various LMSs (for clients), using a template, and it has worked.  Now, with CP7, it's not working with one of the LMSs.  The files created in CP6 still work, so it's not a change in the LMS.  We bought multiple copies of CP7 for our various developers, and now we can't use them.  Making an overall change, like removing the Exit button on the playbar and using another method, will mean that our courseware is not consistent from one application to another, which would not be a good solution.
    Any ideas?

  • Adobe captivate not reporting to quiz results analyzer

    when posting results at the end of the captivate webinar it reads "unknown error." Help!

    Hello,
    Maybe too late but...
    I'd the same problem when the quiz and the quiz results were on different servers. But since I moved the quiz results (with the .php files in the root) to the same server where the quiz is, everything is ok.

  • Can I reconfigure Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer (ACQRA) ?

    Hello,
    I working on capturing all the Quiz results onto a MySQL Database using WAMP. No problem getting the data into the Database using the internalserverreporting.php after some modifications.
    Still having some trouble reverse engineering  the interserverread.php. While experimenting with some modifications, I received some help on how to clear the application of past Quiz data so that I can see what happens with my changes. Now I realized that the Application is programmed to expect XML files and store the results in a special location.
    QUESTION 1:
    Can I reconfigure the Application to stop looking for XML files and configure it to point to my database?
    QUESTION 2:
    Can I get my hands on the code that was used to create ACQRA for my standalone application?

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
    Do you have 26 different projects ?
    Which version of Captivate are you using ?
    Do you have MAC or Windows ?
    Any Error message while generating results for those 5 courses ?
    Thanks,
    Vikram
