R/3 To APO , customized material master data Transfer

Hello All,
i am having an issue , that we need to add two customized fields (PUP price and Std Price) in /SAPAPO/MAT1, Extra Tab.
i have added these fields on screen and the output structure for them is assigned as /SAPAPO/MATIO-zverpr, and /SAPAPO/MATIO-zstprs.
in R/3 Side -I have added these two fields as in CIFMTLCCUS structure, with Include CI_MTLCCUS (custom structure to transfer data).
also i have fteched these filds from table MBEW and have mapped to Table ot_cif_matloccus of Include ZXCIFU01 of Enhancement CIFMAT01.
In APO side -but the thing left is that i am not able to find the Mapping Structure in APO side for these fields.
i have added these fields to Structure /SAPAPO/CIF_MATLOCCUS (Customer Enhancement Structure for /SAPAPO/CIF_MATLOC), but i didnt find any custimzed place to retrieve and Map to /SAPAPO/MATIO.
please suggest the necessary/missing steps.

Check these three thigns

Check what type of stock has active IM, and what type of stock went in after you created the GR.
Still if you have any problem let us know.

Customer & Material Master data is not saved in SAP 4.7

Hi All,
We created a customer in T code XD01 and saved it. system threw a message that "customer 500001 has been saved" but when I tried to check the customer ID 500001 in XD02 and XD03, it says custoemr 500001 has not been created.
I have checked in table KNA1, KNB1 & KNVV. No data is available in these tables.
Same case with material master data even.
Can anyone please tell me what could be the reason for this problem & how to fix it.

Dear JM,
Goto SNRO- Enter the number range object & click on "Change " icon.
NR Object: DEBITOR
Check whether any value maintained in "No. of numbers in buffer", make it blank & re-create customer.
It may not be exact route cause of the problem, but could be the reason .
Test & update the forum.

Non-SAP to SAP Material Master Data Transfer

Hello Leo,
There are a number of options to do this. You can use the standard SAP tool named LSMW - Legacy System Migration Workbench (transaction LSMW) as a starting point.
Also please read this [Documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/0d/414538bc0fe927e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm] before undertaking the data migration activity via LSMW.
Additionally, there is also a Direct Input program available named RMDATIND - please go through the program documentation before you use it. You can use this program to transfer material master data to SAP but
make sure you assign this program through LSMW for mapping structures etc. The internet link above will give
more details and step-by-step instructions to follow.

Material Master data transfer using IDOC

Hi,
I am working on integration scenario with SAp ECC. we are using SAp PI wherein SAP PI is posting data In SAP ECC using standard IDOC for Material master i.e MATMAS05
You might be aware that while material master creation if we pass Plant value then we can activate all Plant related views i.e. Purchasing, sales plant general, MRP views and Accounting etc...
I have a scenario where I want to activate only Sales plant general view...donot want MRP and purchasing views to get activated
I tried passing only Plant and profit center value which required for sales plant general data view and keeping all other fields blank but it doesnot work.
can you suggest a way.

P.s - I am using xml file which will be converted into IDOC by PI.

you must not create all segments in the IDOC if you dont want the views.
e.g. E1MBEWM is used for the accounting data. without this you wont get that view.

Material Master data transfer to external system

Dear All,
We are creating the Interface between SAP and MES system for transfering the material master. The plan is to use the standard Idoc type/message type i.e is MATMAS05.
I have done basic settings like defining parnters, port, partner profile etcc. and trying to trigger the IDoc using transaction code POIM. I am getting a message called " "0 Idocs were generated (According to the selection and filter)". I could not findout why system is throwing this message.
Please help in this issue.

I tried to create IDoc with BD10 for material master and I am getting two error msg as below.
Msg one
1 master IDocs set up for message type MATMAS
then Msg two
0 communication IDoc(s) generated for message type MATMAS
Is it able to get why this msg is comng and no IDoc's were generated..

Material master data transfer error

I am getting errors in transfering some materials from R/3 to GTS.
The errors are:

The number ranges are maintained in GTS.It is also maintained in R/3.

Our Basis guys are unable to confirm the PI patch level at this time.

Sales order does not extract plant information from material master data

Hi experts,
I have created a sales order. However, the plant in the shipping tab can only be manually entered.
I have made the check:
the customer material master data does not have the plant info.
the customer master data does not have it either.
It is defined in the material master data: sales:general/plant
But the sales order did not extract this information. Why does this happen?

Hello Friend,
As right stated by you,
The Plant will be copied from the master data to the sales order, if not it should be manually entered
The Sequence System will search for the Plant is as follow..
1. Customer material infor record, If it was not maintained then it will search in
2. Customer master, if the entre was not maintained in the SHIPPING TAB
3. Finally it will search in the Material master in the Sales organisation data 1 in the field DELVERING PLANT field.
So please search whether the entry was maintained in that field at the sales:sales organisation data 1.
This might be the issue.

Material master data connect to custom data

I have transfer material master data from ECC to GTS,I also have created tariff code in GTS system,
but I just know to connect them by manual, Can anybode tell me ,How to connect them by mass ?

Hi Billy,
If you want to classify materials in mass, you can use the classification worklist (there are each for compliance/customs tariff/commodity codes) or upload the material classification from a file.
There you can select several in an ALV and classify them in once..

ALE:Material Master Data Distribution

I am new to ALE Material Master Data Distribution and if the questions are incorrectly worded, please accept my apologies. It is due to lack of knowledge.
I am doing Material Master Data distribution and I am using standard basic type MATMAS03. The standard TCode MM01, MM02 has SAP tables and 3 custom tables.
I have turned the active on using BD61 and change pointers to message type.
Q: Is the change pointer, applicable to entire material master? i.e. if I change a field in Z table or standard material tables, can an IDOC be created for the entire material record?
Q: What is the function of BD52? Does this override the option Activate Change pointers for message type? Does it mean, if the changes are made to those fields in BD52 a change pointer is created?
Q: If I change Z table only, will there be a change pointer created? If not, how could I accomplish this using BD52.
Q When do we use the enhancement MGV00001?
Also, If you could add anything in addition to above queries, it will be helpful to me and I appreciate it.

Your tips are good, but, I was not able to get the problem resolved.
Let me explain what I have done based on your tips.
1. MATMAS uses MATMAS03. The basic type has NOT been modified to have z fields yet.
2. Using BD52, i have created the following fields
MATERIAL ZEMM_MARA_TECH IM_ADVISORY_CODE
MATERIAL ZEMM_MARA_TECH KEY.
3. Modified the MMR for IM_ADVISORY_CODE.
I did not see a change pointer for this change.
Q: When I created above entry using BD52, was asking the table name. The table name is stored in TCD0B. What TCode is available the entries in TCDOB. For the time being, i created using SQL.
Q. Is there a follow up configuration required to capture the changes?
I will award the points in a couple of days time, even if I do not get the solution, because you have spent your precious time for the community. I will wait for a couple of days for other suggestions and close the Problem.

MM - Material master data - move standard field to another view

Hi everyone,
ÉCC 6.0 - release 7.0.
I've been adding many custom fields in Material master data MM01/02/03. Now I got a problem because we have to use a standard field in another view.
The field MARA-HERKL is set up to 'SV'(attribute V_130F-PSTAT):
Warehouse management = S
Sales = V
I want to add 'K - Basic data' in this field's attribute at OSMR Tcode , but this attribute is disactivated. I can not change this value.
I've check this note 306966 that mention: You cannot create new entries and delete entries in client 000. This client contains only the entries delivered by SAP which are used for distinguishing customer-specific fields and SAP standard during the maintenance of the other clients.
Is there any problem whether I delete this field and afterwards create it with the new values?
I'm not in client 000. So, I want to just make sure I will do a legal change.

Program Type         D   Direct Input

We created one customised View for Material master and we have some custom fields in that view.
Please can you tell me the procedure of appending the custom fields and view in the Direct input method program.
I am able to pass the custom fields in LSMW direct input program using
SAP NOTE 38299, But the customized view is not reflecting in LSMW Direct input program.
Can you please help me how can i get Customized view in LSMW direct input program.

hi, In my opinion, you can check the direct input program, if it support some enhancement, if so, you can add you logic into it.
If not, I think you have some enhance logic for the customize screen to update your material information. Copy RMDATIND to a Z program, and move these logic into this program. E.G. update these customize part data yourself, as a additional logic in Direct Input program.

Redoing the Intial load of Material Master data

Hi,
The requirement is to flow the data between R3 and CRM.Business partners, Material and Sales documents.
I have created Customer and Material in R3 and in CRM r3ac1 i set filter conditions for material and customer .
Data successfully flowed from R3 to CRM this is confirmed in CRM (SMQ2) when i activated it showed a green light.
I used tcode COMMPR01 in SD tab it is not showing particular sales org 5030.
For BP it shows sysfail in SMQ2 when i tried to check it shows message BP number already exists.
Iam doing the Intiaload of Material Master data second time .so what precautions i have to take before starting the Intial Load .
Plz Clarify.

Regarding the customers:
You could be getting the message due to a variety of resons. Perhaps you are using overlapping BP number ranges in CRM and R/3?
The other reason could be due to client copies in one or both systems thus leading to data flowing to the wrong clients.
Regarding Materials:
Make sure that that org mapping has been correctly maintained in the CRM Org Model and that this org unit has not been filtered out in the fitler settings.
If the mapping exists correctly, then you will see a BDOC with an error. You will also see the sent data in the BDOC.
This is easy to check. Just change a Sales Area dependent attribute for a material in R/3 and see if the change is sent to CRM. If yes, then check the BDOC and the BDOC log. If the problem is in the org Mapping this will show up in the BDOC Log.
Another thing you can check is the buffer. Perhaps the cache/buffer is not getting updated after the download.

Create a specific user profile to Material master data

Dear colleagues.
We need create on R/3 4.6 a specific user profile for material master data, to create or modify (MM01/MM02) only the following views: 'Sales org. data 1', 'Sales org. data 2' and 'Sales:General/Plant data'. The problem is that when I use the SAP gui functions, I can create the profile, but also with the views 'Foreign trade: Export data' and 'Sales text'. Someone know how create this profile without this last two views? Thanks.

Que on Material Master Data Migration

Hi All
We are trying to allocate parallel currency to an existing co code, and since SAP recommends not to add parallel currency to an existing co code, we have decided to go ahead with a new co code - thereby transferring all master and transaction data as part of data migration..
However, my Qs is.. do we have to migrate the material master data aswell since when I make the material to plant assignment in customizing, it should then officially belong to the new co code too right?

I dont think you fully understand my scenario..
we have an entity that wants to introduce a parallel currency to all their reporting.. therefore, addiding a parallel currency to an active company code is not possible and they are not keen to go with material ledger...
therefore, we suggested a brand new co code as of 01.01.2012. So the current co code is not going to be active after 31.12.2011. We are creating a brand new co code and doing data migration for all the master data and transaction data.
meaning, Vendor, Customer, GL, AP & AR item Data, GL item data and asset master and transaction data.
In customizing, after creating the new company, we will make the assignments to plant purchasing/sales org etc.
My Qs - do we also need to migrate the material master since it belongs to a Plant. Therefore, when we assign the co code to the Plant, it will automatically be available in the co code when creating a PO etc..

Normally, the material relationship tables begins with prefix: COMM_IL_*
Check for example:
- for vendor relationship the table is COMM_IL_PRDVND.
- for acessories relationship the table is COMM_IL_ACCESS
- for customer relationship the table is COMM_IL_PRDCPN
...and so on...
