RA Key in Maintenance Order

Dear Expert,
We have maintenance order settle to asset. Material and service are posting to maintenance order as P/L-cost element. In case, in the end of period, maintenance order work on process, then no settlement will be executed.
My client want the cost should be capitalized to BS account.
I think the requirement could be provide by RA key in PM order.
But, what is the process of flow? what is the tcode to execute RA Key? Should be calculate first, or just execute then settle?
What is the disadvantage/advantage using RA Key?
Thanks in advance,
Dewi

closed. the tcode is KKA1, the settle to jurnal the wip acct.

  • How to use Standard Text Key in maintenance order header long text?

    Dear All,
I have created a standard text key using transaction CA10 and I want to use this in maintenance order header long text. Is there any way to select any standard text key in maintenance order header long text?
    Regards & Thanks,
    Saif

    Hi
To use standard texts, perform the following six steps:
Select the maintenance order and access the operation overview screen using Goto -->Operation overview.
You can enter standard text keys in this screen or in a detail screen for the relevant operation.
Enter a standard text key in the appropriate field and press ENTER .
If the text is longer that the short text line available, the field Text is selected for that operation.
Check the long text and edit it if necessary. To do this, select the operation and choose Operation--> Long text.
The system branches to the text editor screen. If you also entered a short text for the operation and specified that this should not be overwritten by the standard text, you will see the short text displayed in the first line of the editor. The following lines contain the standard text.
Check the standard text and change it if necessary.
Save the final version of the text and return to the previous screen with Goto--> Back.
    Save the maintenance order.
Standard texts are created for your system by your system administrator using the Customizing function.

    Hi,
The IMG customizing will have greater priority than the screen table controls (also specific program logic can supersede the table controls). Check the customizing for service screen at following path:
SPRO - Materials Management - External Services Management - Define Screen Layout

  • Creation of subcontracting PR through maintenance order

    Dear experts,
Can anyone tell me how to create the automatic subcontracting pr from the maintenance order.
my requirement is to send the defective item from the maintenance to external vendor.
how to see the subcontract  check box in the maintenanc order screen.  what is the settings i ve to do.
when i try to check the MPI INDICATORS, i m not able to edit .
please guide me how to get the solution that for this subcontracting external process.
i m using the control key as PM02 IN THE operation tab page.
do i ve to send that material as non valuated material ?
what are all the steps to be covered.     can you guide me step by step
    thanks and regards
    vinoth devapriyan

    Hi Vinoth,
SAP supports Sub-contracting from Maintenance Order from EHP 5. If you are using EHP 5, then you have an 'Check Box' option in the Refurbishment Order Type to define sub-contracting is allowed. Then you can send a Defective Material & get back a Repaired Material.
If you are working on a EHP that is less than 5, then you have do the sub-contracting flow seperately. Following are the steps.
Create a Sub-Contracting PR. While creating the PR, you need to define 'Recursive BOM'. Here the Parent material will be with Valuation Type 'Defective' & child Material will be with Valuation Type 'Repaired'.
Create a PO. Issue the Material (defective) from ME2O against movement type 541 to the Vendor.
Post GR with Movement Type 101.
Now the Material will get into stock against Valuation Type 'Repaired'.
Note : Do not provide 'Account Assignment' as Maintenance Order (or) Cost Center in the PO. It should be blank. Other wise the Order will be debitted twice (once when consuming the material & second when posting GR).
    Hope this helps.

  • Default GL account upon goods issue to maintenance order based on activity

    Hi all,
There's a scenario here in Plantation Industry that we require to default GL account upon goods issue to maintenance order based on activity type assigned in the order instead of only posting to consumption account, is there anyway in OBYC or user exit able to fulfill requirement mentioned?
    Thanks as advanced.

    Hello
With help of general Modifier in combination of valuation class you can assign GL as per your wish for offset posting incase of GI to order/anything
    Example
    Transaction key-GBB
    General modification- VBR
    Valuaction Class - checked
    Dr/CR- checked
Assign the general modifier to T code MIGO , through OMJJ

  • Pur Req via Plant maintenance order

    Hi,
When Non stock item is assigned to a Plant Maintenance order, A purchase requisition is created automatically for that item.
During the creation of purchase requision it is required to enter goods recipient and unloading point( few fields are made mandatory)
Issue: At this stage we are giving planne delivery time and GR processing time.
But when we check the Purchase req for that item, Only GR processing time is considered not Planned delivery time.
Please provide your suggestion, why planned delivery time is not considered for scheduling of purchase req.
    Thanks and regards,
    Nataraj

    Hi!,
I think you should check the operation control key you are using. Whether that key allows 1. Externally processed opearation 2. allows the scheduling of externally processed operation. If both are true then it will take the standard values defined for that opearation for scheduling. if 2nd is not true then it will schedule as per planned delivery time.
I think this will solve your problem.

  • Maintenance order for Refurbishment

    Dear Experts,
I have created a maintenance order for the equipment E12000003 with order type PM01 and using the control key PM03.Material 12000003 representing the equipment E12000003 issued against the PM order .
Purchase requisition is created at the background , which converted to PO and the material 12000003 issued to vendor through a deliver challan.
Acceptance of service through service entry sheet and GR at the background.
Confirmation of time for the order and GR for the PM order done .Settlement of the order against the material which issued against the order.
We are planning to follow the above cycle instead of refurbishment process as we donu2019t want to have split valuation .  Please correct me if ia m wrong.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
The method u are using is ok for some companies. But the following questions arise which are to be answered,
1.How do you fix the cost of the refurbished material? will it be the original cost (cost, if bought from a vendor)
    2. You draw and use spare parts for refurbishing the eqpt. If the spare parts cost is more than the original equipment cost how do u account for it?
    3. The refurbished material must be certified to be as good as new, otherwise its cost must be split based on the condition. In your case all the time the cost will be same. Is it ok? Mind you once the refurbished material is returned to store, there is no replenishment and if the plant condition needs a new spare u do not have one!
    4. In the accounting it can happen that u refurbish few costly materials and in the end of the year return them to stores to bring down the maintenance cost vs budget. How these are controlled?
But it does not mean the SAP way of refurbishment is an complete solution.

  • "Keys out of order" message in Disk Utility

    Hi,
I was just doing a regular maintenance check with Onyx and to my surprise it said I needed to repair the disk using the Installer DVD and Disk Utility.
I did this and again to my surprise I seem to have a problem.
After the whole processs is complete these messages come up:
"keys out of order" (in red)
1 HFS Volume repaired (in green)
1 Volume could not be repaired (in red)
I don't know what to do about this. On the one hand my system seems to be running fine, but on the other if these errors are coming up then surely there is an issue which I need to resolve.
Could someone enlighten me on what to do next?

    Hi,
Thanks. Unfortunately my battey died and now I am stuck on the apple logo at reboot. Opening disk utility via the install disk doesn't work as disk utils doesn't recognise any disks (even though I hear them spinning)
I am lucky in that I am able to access th powerbook's HD in target mode via firewire on my G5
so I am going to copy over a lot of my data and then invest in Diskwarrior.
However, I am a little confused with the Diskwarrior website. I would prefer to download as I am not near a shop to buy the software and I would rather not pay for express amazon delivery.
Would I be able to use the download of diskwarrior on my Powerbook?
    It seems a little confusing:
    "If You Are Purchasing DiskWarrior
Repairing your usual startup disk requires that you start up from another disk. In order to use the download copy of DiskWarrior, you will need to start up from another disk with Mac OS X 10.3.9 through 10.4.x installed. You will then need to run a copy of DiskWarrior from a disk that is not the disk you are repairing. (The DiskWarrior download does not include the Apple System files necessary to create a startup CD.) If you cannot use the download version of the software (i.e. you have only one internal hard drive and this is the drive you wish to repair), please order directly from our sales department or from one of our resellers to be sent the software on CD. If you order via the secure server, you will be sent a CD, but delivery of your CD will take approximately three to four weeks, depending on your location."
Basically I am in a hurry to get my Powerbook working by Thursday my two options are
a)Buy from Amazon and pay extra to get express delivery by wednesday
b)Buy download from Alsoft (with cd version on way in 2-3 weeks)....however if the download version is not sufficient then i'm screwed.
I'd really appreciate help here. It just happens that I have to work away on Thursday....and I therefore need my powerbook. I usually use my G5 in my home studio.
    THANKS!!

  • Release of maintenance order

    Hi,all,
After releasing of maintenance order, my client's requirement is not to change any data like operation ,components by anyone. Is there any settings in standard SAP to do this or some user exit to prevent anyone to change the data but again changeable option  should be there to some authorised person only.please suggest .Thanks in advance.
    rgds
    rajib

I thought PJ had a good solution with the user status, and only giving the authorization to remove the status to authorized users.
Unfortunately, there is nothing in the business transactions to forbid changes like operation changes.
I tried forbidding 'change' and that did nothing.
I was surprised that even the forbid 'change documents' setting didn't prevent me changing the operation control key and the system created the change documents, but then I realized there is a different status profile for operations. So this would require assigning the user status to each operation, and even that would not prevent addition of operations.
Of course, I usually advocate accountability over control. If anyone makes inappropriate changes, the system records who, what and when, so you can see who changed an operation after release.
But in the end, if that's what the customer wants.......
I think the solution would be to use user exit IWO10009 (Checks at order "save")
Check to see if the order is released, if it is then prevent user from saving unless their user ID is in a Ztable that has a maintenance view  for administration. A sort of variation on TVARV.
    Hope it helps

  • To maintenance order to purchase order

    Hello,
How could i convert my maintence order for me to create a purchase order to that same maintenance order?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ryan

    Ryan,
    There are two methods:
Planned: this is where you set the order operations for an external requirement. This can be achieved via the operation control key or a non-stock material. In this case a Purchase Requisition (PR) is created first. You then convert the PR into a Purchase Order (PO).
Unplanned: create a PO with reference to an order. In this case these is no PR and no reference to an operation.

  • Purchase Requisition created from Maintenance Order can not deleted

    Hi Gurus,
I've create a Maintenance Order for External Service (Control Key: PM02) and Purchase Requisition already created related to this Maintenance Order.
But when I want to cancel/delete the Purchase Requisition, there is error message "This item is only deletable via the associated production order". So II can not delete the PR.
Any solution for this problem ?
    Regards,
    Tri W

    Hi,
If the PR has not been approved and no PO has been created yet, you have to delete the external service operation (PM02) in the work order. This should delete the Pruchase Requisitions.

  • Automatic Reservation from Maintenance Order

    Hi,
I have a problem. Generally from Maintenance Order type PM01 under Order Category 30, when we give some materials requirement, SAP automatically generate reservation for those materials and take the GL as Consumable Item.
But in my case, that GL has to be changed depending on what perpose we are using the material. But Manual reservation is not allowed for the order category 30 and no GL can be changed for automatic reservation.
Can anybody suggest any way-out so that we can give our desired GL No. for the reservation for Maintenance order (say Order type PM01 under category 30 which is SAP internal).
    Thanks in advance,
    Satadal

Thanks for your answer. Actually I found that place, it is determined from OBYC transaction with a combination of GBB (A/c Key) and VBR (A/c Modifier).
But for same movement type261, I need manual G/L allocation at runtime. i.e. depending upon case to case, the G/Ls will be different. So, different movement type perhaps would not serve the purpose.
Basically I need to over-write the G/L for automatic reservation created from PM in the PM01 order type with category 30 where manual reservation is not allowed.
Can you suggest any way out so that I can actually over-write the G/L for automatic reservation- through SPRO or some kind of development...
    Thanks

  • Maintenance Order & Factory calendar

    Hi,
How to Link Maintenance Order & Factory calendar so that when i execute the 'Cost Evaluation' table
S115, i will get cost for the maintenance order Activities for specified month based on factory calendar.
    Pleaes Let me know.

    PeteA,
When i execute the maintenance Order in table S115 with input data fiscal year variant (Calendar Year 4/4/5) , Order type & Month (say 02.2009) system throws message "No table entries found for specified Key" .....
But when i execute the same table with all input data except fiscal year variant (Calendar year 4/4/5), system gives the output of my order type.
So i think Fiscal year variant should be maintained in Order. That procedure i want to know
(Note: In Work center "Capacity' Tab, we can only assign the factory calendar; Not fiscal year variant(4/4/5 year)
      Pls let me know

  • Creating maintenance order from enhancement IMRC001

    Hi
I am trying to create a maintenance order from the customer exit EXIT_SAPLIMR0_001 inside enhancement IMRC001. For order creation i have invoked the BAPIs  BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN and bapi_transaction_commit subsequently to write changes to the database. But once the control returns from main program I receive an express message which states
    Update was terminated

Can any of you help me on this. I am doubtful on commiting from a include; but in the doc for this enhancement it is mentioned that we can create order from it. Is there any other way to do this?
    Thanks in advance
    Sudip

    udip,
I think there's some sample code with this user-exit..
Have a look at that, it may give some pointers...
    Also try without the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

  • How to use WCM for a maintenance order ?

    HI friends,
Can u please tell the steps how i should use WCM in a maintenance order?
    Regards,
    M.Alagesan

    Hi Alagesan,
To use WCM in Maintenance Orders, you should have activated either a Standard or Enhanceed Model Architecture for the Planning Plant in SPRO. (SPRO>PMCS>WCM--> Master Data --> Architecture)
Also you should Activate WCM for Maintenance Orders (SPRO>PMCS>WCM--> Approvals)
Then the Reference Object you are using for Order creation should have the Permit(Approval) used above assigned to it & Auto Proposal should be checked.
When you create a Order on such Equipment, WCM will get activated Automatically. Also you can activate using Operational Control key of WCM.
If Standard Model the Flow is Order --> Work Clearance Application --> Work Clearence Document. Release Permits in Order and proceed to Tag in WCD. Then Release the Order for Execution.... and so on.
If Enhanced Model the Flow is Order --> Valuation --> Work Approval --> Work Clearance Application --> Work Clearence Document. Release Permits in Order and proceed to Tag in WCD. Then Release the Order for Execution.... and so on.
