Raounding Off Excise Credits

Hi All
Can we automate rounding up of Excise Duty amounts appearing, when capturing Excise Invoice via MIGO Goods receipt.
Kind Regards
Samson

Hi Srinivas
Thanks for the immediate response, the SPRO setting mentioned by you is already flagged(regret that i did not mention it earlier).
The rounding off happens in case of credit posting via J1IH ,but it does not round off in case of credits via MIGO.
The SPRO  Note for the same is " Indicator for item level excise duty round off
Rounds off the excise duty on each line item in a purchase order.
Dependencies
The system rounds the duty off to the nearest rupee. However, if the duty amount is less than one rupee then no rounding is done.
It does not round off the CENVAT credit to be taken."
Kind Regards

  • Roundong-off excise duty values

    Hi all!
I need to round-off the excise duty values while passing it through J1IEX.
    I did the following,
    1. I have changed the rounding rule for condition types JMOP, JEC1, JSEP & JVRD as 'A'  (Also i checked with 'B' ) and
    2. In SPRO - Logistics general - Tax on goods mvt - India - Basic settings - Maintain Company code settings - Enabled rounding duty on payment for particular company code.
But still while i capture and post the excise amount in J1IEX the values are not rounded-off. Can anybody give some inputs regarding this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Raj.

For all the Conditions Keep the Rounding Rule Blank ie : Commercial then it will Work.
    >  In SPRO - Logistics general - Tax on goods mvt - India - Basic settings - Maintain Company code settings - Enabled rounding duty on payment for particular company code.
    This Setting is Correct.

  • YouTube cuts off scrolling credits??

Twice I have produced 2 minute videos with scrolling credits for YouTube and later found that the uploaded video ends, cleanly, without the credits. The credits were made with the standard scrolling credits template in Final Cut X and the video was exported as a master file with default settings. Maybe it would make a difference to upload dirctly to YouTube with the built-in feature, but I made the videos for work & they wanted to upload themselves onto the institutional YouTube account. Has this happened to anyone &, if so, how have you fixed or prevented it? Does YouTube have a problem reading the programming of that particular dynamic template? I have a dynamic lens flare template overlay in a couple of places and that worked fine. THANKS for any suggestions.

I had never heard of such issue before. I don't think that is common.
Are you sure the videos weren't trimmed by someone before posting to youtube?
I did a small test with 19 seconds of credits at the end and it came out correctly.
You can make a test yourself and see if the same happens.

  • Excise duty payment

    Hello Experts
How Can we manage payment/Setting off Excise duty in SAP 8.8?
    regards
    Manoj

    Hi Manoj........
If you know about Tax Payment Wizard. This helps to pay the taxes as per liability.
There is no need to raise extra manual JV what all you need to do is within date range you have to run the Tax Payment Wizard which will give you the difference of Excise duty whether to pay or receive from tax authority. Its effect also goes directly to Excise Register......
    Try once.......

  • AED Posting for Capital Goods

    Hi
For Capital Goods, excise availed will be 50% for this financial year and 50% for next financial year.  Is it applicable for AED/CVD for imported goods also.
    Rgds
    Srini

Businesses are allowed to set off excise duty on purchases of capital goods against excise duty on outputs. However, unlike with raw materials, you can only set off half of the duty in the first year, and the rest in any year after that.
    Prerequisites
In the material master, you have classified the capital goods as such.
Because duty on capital goods is handled using excise transaction type CAPE, you must also have specified that you want this transaction to credit the excise duty to the CENVAT on hold account. You make this setting in Customizing for Logistics u2013 General, by choosing Taxes on Goods Movements ® India ® Account Determination ® Specify Excise Accounts Per Excise Transaction.
You must then have specified which G/L account is the CENVAT on hold account, again in Customizing for Logistics u2013 General, by choosing Taxes on Goods Movements ® India ® Account Determination ® Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction.
    Features
When you post an excise invoice that contains capital goods, the system posts half of the excise duty to your CENVAT account and posts the rest to a G/L account for CENVAT on hold.
In following years, you can use a report to identify the capital goods with excise duty on hold and transfer the duty to the CENVAT account (see Transfer of CENVAT Credit on Capital Goods).
    Activities
When working with excise invoices that include capital goods, note the following:
    Capturing vendor excise invoices
When you create an excise invoice with capital goods, you have to set the material type to A (assets), C (consumables), or T (tools).
    Posting excise invoices
When you come to post the excise invoice, the system posts only half of the excise duty to the CENVAT account. The system does not round the amount off.
Transfer of CENVAT Credit on Capital Goods
You use this report to display a list of the vendor excise invoices where the vendor has levied excise duty but you have not posted it (in full) to your CENVAT account.
This is particularly useful in the case of capital goods, in order to find out how much credit remains from previous years.
    Features
To access the report, from the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Indirect Taxes ® Procurement ® Excise Invoice ® Reports ® Balance Credit for Capital Goods.
    Selection
    On the selection screen, enter:
    Organizational data
Data of the documents that you want
    Output
The system displays a list of excise invoices with excise duty outstanding. It shows you:
The total amounts of the various types of excise duties levied on the excise invoice
How much duty has still to be posted to the CENVAT account
Select the excise invoices that you want and choose Transfer credit. If you want to transfer only a portion of the remaining amount, enter this amount as the amount to be credited.
The system creates an accounting document to post the duty to the CENVAT account and creates an entry in the Part II register.

  • Down Payments Query

Client  has done a down payment
Issued a purchase Order to a supplier
supplier has invoiced in advanced in delivering the goods
Supplier has invoiced 2 invoices for one purchase  order
Client has made 1st payment using AP down payment invoice.
They have taken part delivery of goods.
Client want to enter into stock.
    Purchase Order is still open
Can client do goods receipt based on purchase order ?
How does the down payment fit into the accounting equation. ?
Edited by: Darpal Thiarha on Apr 18, 2008 12:09 PM

    Hi Derpal,
Please mention, whether the down payment was based on the purchase order? If yes, then client must have processed the A/P down payment invoice. Or if the A/P downpayment invoice is not based on the PO then the amount is paid on account. Now first of all go to A/P Invoice and for the particular vendor copy the data from PO (for the first case when the downpayment is based on a PO) you would found the button Totalo down payment. Click this button and make adjustments from the downpayment. (for the second case when the downpayment is not based on a PO) you would found in the document footer of A/P invoice a field name "Paid/Credited", here would be that amount which is paid on account and document total will be after netting-off this creditted amount.

  • RG23C non cenvatable J1IEX

    Hi,
I want to post J1IEX for RG23C consumables materials for non cenvatable tax code.
Excise invoice is captured in MIGO and duties are inventoried.
While posting J1IEX, part 2 and accounting document with zero duties are generated which is not generated for RG23A materials.
My requirement is to post J1IEX for RG23C without generating  part 2 and accounting document.
    Please suggest

    Hi,
If the duties are to be inventorised, then why do you want to post J1IEX for part 2 without accounting entries. There is no need to post any J1IEX atall if the values are inventorised. The RG23C or RG23A registers will be required to be updated only if the excise credits are availed for offsettign agianst the excise liability on Sales.

  • SAP AR

    HI Gurus,
currently in my company, customers receiving a dunning letter often argue that they did not receive the initial AR invoice.
The requirement for me is to see if there is a possibility of sending the customer invoice the same time that we are sending the dunning letter. currently the dunning notification is sent through mail ( SOST ).
    Many thanks
    Cecile

A bad debt is an amount that is written off by the business as a loss to the business and classified as an expense because the debt owed to the business is unable to be collected, and all reasonable efforts have been exhausted to collect the amount owed. This usually occurs when the debtor has declared bankruptcy or the cost of pursuing further action in an attempt to collect the debt exceeds the debt itself. ]
The debt is immediately written off by crediting the debtor's account and therefore eliminating any balance remaining in that account. A bad debt represents money lost by a business which is why it is regarded as an expense

  • Compressing 7.5 Hour video for Dual Layer DVD

I've got to compress 7.5 hours of footage into an MPEG2 fittable on a Dual Layer DVD. The client knows that the quality will be inferior. Anyone have any suggestions as to settings before I start? I'm guessing to set the bitrate to 2.3 or so. How about the maximum? Thanks!

I used Compressor and set everything on the MPEG 2 settings to the lowest I could, like 2.1-5.0 and compressed the **** out of it. It looks pretty decent for that much compression. It only fit because I chopped off the credits sequence from the 15 different sections, compressed that seperately, then had them link to it so that it was actually about seven hours of footage. There's a little pixelation when you go into certain motion areas, but the client's happy. I only recommend doing this if there are no other options.

  • PO price rounding

    Hi All,
There are three instances for this issue:
    1) When creating the PO, the effective price gets calculated like this Rs 8960.40
Usually the vendor wants that the PO should be send to them in rounded figures like- Rs8960 or Rs8961.
At the condition level commercial rounding is set.
    2) Same is the case, when the vendor sends the invoice, he rounds off the price.
    Like
    Gross price= 109
    BED= 17.44 ( he will round off to either 18 or 17)
Same is the case for other conditions of PO.
    3) Same practice is followed by the client, if he receives the invoice in decimal (4520.23), he also wants rounds off  0.23
How this scenario can be taken care?
If the PO value is 8940.40 and vendor send the invoice for 8960, the difference of 0.40 will the stand in GR/IR clearing account.
    thanks and Regard

  • IDVD - DVD burning help

I downloaded a movie and want to burn it to a DVD, but when I try it using iDVD a message comes up that says the file exceeds maximum content. It is currently an mp4 file - does anyone know how to edit the file so that it would fit? Thanks!

Thanks, but I had already changed the Quality to the highest level - and the project ends just in the yellow because its such a long movie. What I was thinking is if I could edit the original file in such a way that I could just cut off the credits or something, than maybe it would fit? Or if there was a way to compress the file but still have it burn a viable DVD
