Rawmaterial
Hi
I have procured some material as ROH, but it has not been used for a long time so quality is reduced. I want to sell this material instead of sending back to vender or put into scrap. Is it possible to sell a raw material to some other customer. if yes please explan.
Regards
venkat
Hi,
You can sell any material which is in your unrestricted use stock , provided you:
1. Maintain Sales views for Material Master
2. Create a Customer master for thr party u are selling
3. Follow standard SD cycle

Dear all,
I need your help to build a BOM for the Rawmaterial, my scenario is:
I have a FERT material as "A'. Which has components B,C,D (B and C are Rawmaterials which is procurred externally and D is a semi-finished product).
I have to maintain BOM for the component 'B' and having components X,Y and Z. (Here the cost of X,Y and Z should not be rolled to the material 'B', so am not maintaining the costing relevancy indicators for the X,Yand Z materials).
Now i have to sent the component 'X' for external processing and bring it back as Component 'D'.
Please let me know how to process the above scenario.
Thanks & Regards
DhanasekarHi,
As per your scenario you are manufacturing FERT A with compmonents as B,C & D. For component B you want to create bom with externally procured materials X, Y & Z.
X is sent for externally processing & bring back as semifinshed product D.
So you can map this scenario as,
1. Create BOM for HALB material D with component as X (with the material master setting as SPK- 30 subcontacting to get it done from outside)
2. Create BOM for FERT material A with the components B, C & D.
3. You don't need to maintain BOM for ROH materials B & C as they are the externally procured materials.
With this scenario when the BOM explosion is done for material A, then dependent requirements will be created for components B, C & D. Purchase requisition will be created for components B & C, and then they will be converted to purchase order. For component D planned orders are created & then purchase requisitions will be created for material X.
Hope this resolve your issue, reward points if helpful.

To cancel reservations of rawmaterial for a particular production order
Dear sap gurus,
Initially planned order is converted into production order and released, because of some problem the order is cancelled so i did teco for that production order but the rawmaterials are not deleted so pls help me in this issue.
regards,
muralidhar.tDear,
When you do TECO for the order the reservations get cancelled
Please refer my reply in this thread ,

Re: Optional rawmaterial usage for a particular customer only
Hi All
The scenario is in a Sales order based process industry.
A particular finished product F1 is sold to two customers C1 and C2. This F1 requires the use a particular raw material R1 or alternate material R2 (R2 can be used only for customer C2).
In case of F1 sold to C1, the client has the option to use an alternative raw material R2.
However in case of F1 sold to C2 customer, should use R1received from a particular vendor only. Is there some way to map this process in SAP?, if yes, pls explain how?.
Thanks & Regards
KarthikHi Karthik,
It is possible by using variant configuration.
Pls explore yourself in that.

Hi ,
I have a requirement in which I need to find new vendor a raw material used for a product. How can we that information?
Thanks,
MohanHi ,
Thanks for your reply. I will look into those T codes .
Thanks again for your quick answer.

Dear All,
I am procuring one SFG (material no:1) from vendor directly. This SFG is contaning (one spring (material no:2) and cover (material no:3) assembly). For the production of FG (material no:4) I will consume this as a whole by specifying this SFG as the component (along with CAP(material no: 5)) in the BOM.
But for another FG (material no:6) I am using (material no:2) as one raw material.
Again for another FG (material no:7) I am using (material no3) as one raw material.
The production of material (6 & 7) may happen in different days.
My question is, I will make GR for material no :1 once when I am receving from vendor.
When material no :6 is producing I need to split material no:1(GR material) in to material no: 2 and material no:3, so that for producing material no:6 they consume the stock of material no:2.
How can I do this splitting. Pls guide me.
Rgds
SriniHi Srinivasan,
Maintain BOM for MAT1, MAT4, MAT6 and MAT7.
When you take delivery of Material 1(SFG) make GR for MAT2 and MAT3 respectively, so that MAT2 will be used in production for MAT6(FG).

KarthikHi Karthik,
As your scenario is a Sales order based means make to order and you customer have different choice for the raw materail then Variant configuration is best for it.
Variant configuration is use for manufacturing complex product.
The customer determine the feature of the product.
Following are the steps requried for Variant configuration
1) Define Material type as KMAT or select configurable in basic data view of material master. Select classification view for material.
2) Create a super BOM and a super Routing for these material, containing all the components and operations for producing all variants of the product.
3) Create Characteristics with different value.
4) Create Class with class type 300. Assign all characteristics to class.
5) Create Configuration profile for configurable object using CU41 transaction.
6)Create Object Dependencies to allow all the combinations of features by using CU01 transaction.
7) Assign all Object Dependencies to BOM and routings (In BOM goto ExtraObject DependenciesAssigment.
8) Use the configuration simulation by using CU50 transaction to check the configuration model.
In the Configuration simulation you can test whether you have created the object correctly and whether your Object Dependencies work.So here you can choose which raw materail you want to select for your customer and your prise can also set accordingly.
When you will create sales order for your customer you have to chose the raw materail i'e R1 Or R2 so product can assemble with that raw material only.
Hope it will solve ur problem and come back.

- not using bind variables anywhere, resulting in excessive statement parsing. All of your statements have hardcoded literals, and many of those statements are identical except for the hardcoded literals.
Due to the hardcoded literals for Oracle they are different, and will be reparsed.
- excessive full table scans : 48 percent of the wait time is db file scattered read which means full table scan.
Time to tune your statements.

Multiple Vendor Line item in FB60
Hi Friends,
It may be simple question but I stucked with it.
I want to split a Vendor Invoice document in FB60(Enjoy Transactions.) by using special Indicator for Retention amount.
You will be clear from below example :---
Inventory Rawmaterial a/c DR 1,00,000
TO Vendor a/c 90,000
TO Vendor a/c(Special GL a.c) 10,000
I need to post above document in FB60 but not F-43.
Here my question is how to split vendor line items while posting of document in FB60.
Thanks in advance.
Kiran KonujulaHi Kiran,
In my previous project we had retention and we have created payment term with installment payment.this will solve your problem.
Goto OBB8 T.code and create a payment term with installment payment (check this check box) and then goto OBB9 t.code to configure installment.
enter as follow
payment term installment percentage
0001 1 90
0001 2 10
do the testing and let me know if you need some more information.
Thanks,

ERROR in COSTING VARIANCE and Picking the Halb Actual Cost in PrOr afterMRP
Hi Gurus
My PS collegue has a issue in Production order linking with his WBS element
As it is a Production order related iam in the loop for resolving it
Ok the Description of the Problem is
"Error in Planned Variance Calculation of Production Order related to WBS element in PS (Project Systems) after MRP Run and converting to Prod Order from Planned Order"
Detailed Description of the Problem:
The PS team is working on ECC6.0 Development server. In that they making projects which consists of WBS elements and those have Materials like HALB leads for Production Order . The Halb price maintained in Mat Master is Standard Price Rs150
After MRP run they will get Planned Orders, then Manually convert into production Orders.
The Halbe Material contains one ROH qty 1 , BOM also maintained as base qty of halb as 1pc
Activity cost in work center is labour activity say 1560 kp26 has maintained
Now after converting Planned Order into Production order they stay in Production order screen and Menu bar select GOTO -> Cost -> itemization then they will get a screen.
In that item no .... Total cost will come
If you take Total cost column they are getting cost of ROH,next row Activity cost , example ROH cost - 100 Activity cost 10 then next row is total cost =110,
There is another row which has suppose say item HALB cost = -150
So next row should be Planned Variance = 40
But here what the problem is it is showing Halb cost as = -100 that is rawmaterial cost and showing wrong variance
If i do Manual Production order creation it is working Properly,
More over we are in Reimplementation the legacy is 4.6C that is also rightly working.
The problem we are getting in Development server of ECC6.0
I think i have explained my problem guys.
If any clarification required for detailing the Problem pl let me know
awaiting your responses
Note: Iam combinly working with PS, FI/CO team for resolving the issue

Std. report for scrap calculation......
Hi!
I want to generate a Scrap report for production order.
The requirement is system should display operaton-wise scrap and its cost. It should consider all material cost & activities cost (labour& machin)required for that operation & generate a overall scrap price.
Is there any standard report available in SAP?
OR any other way to get this report?
Please answer this, If u have any idea.
Thanks,
Pankaj.I think you need to revalidate the Requirement Since.
1.Scrap is generated during a Goods is produced / Processed.
2.So in this case we have a wastage of material..only this material cost has to be calculated or accounted.
3.The operation cost and activity cost etc should be accounted for the Finished goods ,which is already done by Cost collectors -Say Production order.
May be you have a specific requirement. But the Approach towards the process (SCRAP calculation) has to be revisited.
since for a SCrap material called -x and qty called 2kg.the operation time or the acitivity time cant be calculated easily as this has scrap can be generated because of 1 hr of m.c operation or 10 hr of m.c operation..
Lot of factors like
>M/c Efficiency
>Rawmaterial Quality
>operator efficiency
lot of factors would be there
So better to revisit the requirement -
If we wish to send the raw material by creating a sale order and then by making a outboud delivery using 981 movement type and then later making subsequent accountal through MIGO GR, how to do we establsh a link in such way that the finsihed product when accounted at the main storage should cater the total value. ie Rawmaterial cost + the finshed product PO cost. Please tell us what is the best method if any can be configured.
Regards
Pradeep Kumar . CHi,
Movement type 981 is custom designed movement type. So we cant assume the configuration behind the movement type.
Please share the exact business flow, so that we can understand the business process and share our thoughts to map it to SAP.

INCOMING AND OUTGOING EXCISE INVOICE REQUIREMENT
HI,
My client requires, while doing the Incoming and outgoing excise invocies based on material type traded goods and rawmaterial goods, they want to hit different GL accounts based on the materials(traded and rawmaterial separately). Since
excise transaction type is one, how can we achieve this, Is it possible to do the above requirement. How can we configure different gl's for th same excise transaction type based on the different materials.
Please advice.
Regards
AdityaHi,
The incoming and outgoing exise invoices are not exposed in DI as there are a part of the Indian Localization. So I guess its not possible to create that document with DI API.
Check the following note for a similar thing https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/smb_searchnotes/display.htm?note_langu=E¬e_numm=1078102
Hope it helps,

Problem in Passing on the Incoming Excise Invoice Amount
Dear All,
My client is a manufacturer but he is purchasing the rawmaterial from the Trader.
Now within the G R PO he enters the Qty , Unit Price of the Trader and the Accessable Value of the Product. The same he copies it to the Incoming Excise Invoice and then copies the same to the A/P Invoice.
Item no. Qty Price Accessable Value Total TaxCode Tax Amt
M1 2160 53.00 45.11 114480 BED+ VAT 18630
The Breakup of Tax Amt is as below.
BED 14% on 97437.60 ( 45.11 * 2160) = 13641
Ecess 2% on 13641 = 273
HSCess 1% on 13641 = 136
VAT 4% on 114480 ( 53 * 2160) = 4580
Hence Tax Amt Total = 13641 + 273 + 136 + 4580 = 18630
Above is the Scenario which is done in SAP B1.
But my Clients requirement is he does not want to post the BED Amount to the Trader as the Trader has just passed the Excise Amount from the Manufacturer to my Client.
Hence Following Posting in G/L Accounts is done in SAP B1
Vendor ( Trader ) 133110 [ 114480 + 18630(Tax) ]
VAT 4% (Receivable) . 4579
BED 14% Incoming 13641
Ecess 2% Incoming 273
HSCess 1% Incoming 136
Stock 114480
Now my Client requires that the BED Amount should not be added to the Vendor bill i.e he wants the Vendor to be cr. by only (114480 + 4579) = 119060 and the BED amt of 14050 should not be accounted to the Vendor.
Please guide me to solve this problem. As this problem is regarding Passing of the MODVAT.

Edited by: Hitesh Parsawala on Nov 15, 2008 8:34 AMHi Hitesh,
You mean to say, you don't even want to debit your accounts for Excise?
In this case, you have to click orange arrow of Tax Amount. You can manually put the tax amount, you want. So, just make the excise i.e. BED , ECess & SHECess tax amount to zero.
Hope this will help you in your issue.

Cannot delete row in A/P Credit Memo
hi experts
I created the A/P Invoice of Rs.580000 and partial payment Rs.120000 was made to this Invoice through Banking->OutgoingPayment now the balance due of this Invoice is Rs. 460000.
When this Invoice is copyto A/P Credit Memo Rs.120000 is shown as Document Discount field and also the document line rows can't be deleted. (This case is not for all A/P Credit Memo copied from A/P Invoice though partial payment is made)
Please give me the solution...Initially i ordered for 250.752 tonnes of rawmaterial, the vendor to whom the purchase order was raised send the goods when he received some initial payment , so i made some payment RS.120,000 .
After a week i received the goods of 248 tonne so the Goods Receipt PO was made for 248 tonne. But the invoice send by the vendor is for 250.752 tonnes. A/P Invoice is made thru the CopyTo function of Goods Recepit PO and the shortage quantity 2.752 tonne is also entered in the invoice added and then the paid amount RS.120000 is linked to this invoice and then invoice is copied to creditmemo the actual receipted tonnage row 248 is deleted and the 2.752 tonne is used and A/P Credit memo is raised for 2.752 tonnes.
