Re-Installation issues for CS3

I deactivated first, then installed to a new desktop computer using Win 7.  Everything works fine except  I have 2 issues
1)  The re-install did not install the proper information to allow anything to print to Adobe.
2)  Periodically I get a reminder to register the software, but it will not let me.
I have this same software installed on my laptop, which also uses Win 7, and it works fine there   I need help to fix these issues

I am so sorry I wasn't more concise. Since I was in a Creative Suites forum, I just assumed everyone would know that "Print to Adobe" means turn any printable document into an Adobe PDF file.  
InDesign CS3 contains several elements.   One of which is Adobe 8 Professional.  Upon re-installing CS3 on a new Window 7 desktop, it appeared that the installation was completed correctly, as PhotoShop and InDesign would export and save to PDF files without a problem.
Then one day, I wanted to transform a Microsoft Word document to an Adobe Acrobat file.  I usually do this by pulling down the file  print menu, and then select as a printer, Adobe PDF instead of Brother MFC-8440 or HP Deskjet 9800.  After doing so, it usually opens up a "dialog" box, where I then choose a name for my file and direct it to which folder to save it in.  However, on this new desktop computer with Windows 7, it never opens up the dialog box for that process.  It just kind of hangs up the program as it tries to figure out what to do.  I do also have a laptop computer on which I installed this very same software in December 2009, and it works perfectly.  It also runs on Windows 7.
For some reason, the new installation on my new desktop computer did not load the proper print drivers or install an "Adobe PDF Port".  On my laptop it shows that this Print function is utilizing an "Adobe PDF port".  Also when I am in the "Printer Ports" dialog, it shows that an "Adobe PDF Port" is one of the "type" choices when "adding a port".  On the new desktop, I am only given the choice to add a "Local Port" or a "Standard TCP/IP Port".  I am just a 65 year old insurance agent, and although I get around on my computer a bit, I cannot seem to find a solution for this.
I have tried "re-installing" and "repair", but it does not seem to fix it.

    I am having installation issues with Oracle Management Agent Install using OUI....
    I have done the following:
    i)     download AIX_Grid_Control_agent_download_10_2_0_1.zip to aix machine.
    ii)     unzip , it creates aix directory.
    iii)     unzip "oui_aix.jar " , which is available under aix/oui/
    iv)     pl unjar "oui_aix.jar " , ( jar -xvf oui_aix.jar )
    v)     set AGENT_HOME=/oracle/WD1/oem/
    vi)     chmod –R 777 * from /oracle/WD1/oem/
    vii)     invoke ./runInstaller from aix/oui/Disk1/
    When I invoke runInstaller it asks me for Additional Management Service install but after first screen does check ask Oracle Home and then goes intsall OUI and never asks for OMS and OMS port etc..
    Can I install the Management agent through OUI... What are the steps ?

    I deinstalled the OUI and again re-installed.. but still I cannot get it working.. That is why I was looking that if somebody came accross the same issue... Why it does not ask the OMS page at all.. If some body has installed Management Agent on AIX through OUI pl. respond.

  • Installation Issues for X-Fi Titanium HELP ME!!!

    I've recently had to reinstall windows xp on my dell as there was an unrepairable error with the xp operating system that could only be fixed by a fresh install and cleaning the entire hard dri've. I installed windows without a problem and all the onboard drivers for the motherboard, however when i came to install my X-Fi Soundcard i haven't encountered several errors and i just can't find anyway of fixing the problem. The strange thing is before i?reinstalled?windows i had this soundcard working perfectly for over a year.
    First of all when i was installing the software/drivers from the cd onto the hard dri've, the installation froze at 4% at updating windows system files. So i had to close the installation and remove the parts that it did put on the hard dri've using a registry cleaner. I then tried another install and this time i did it in safe mode which in this case allowed everything to install without any crash and finished the installation and asked me to restart. When i restarted the control panel icon was in the bottom right but there was no sound. When i double clicked it, it stated there was no audio device present. How was this possible when i had got my soundcard in my pci express port? And before this question is asked, no i don't have my onboard sound enabled and the drivers for it were uninstalled. When i went onto the sound devices window it had the X-Fi soundblaster logo under the sound device however when i clikced onto its properties there was no way of changing the system volume, it only had options for inputs volumes and levels and i don't think even these were working correctly. Under the codecs tab in sound, the X-Fi driver was present.
    The thing that confuses me about this whole situation is that before i reinstalled windows, i had this soundcard working for over a year. Why has it stopped working now. A hardware error, but it was working?literally?a few days ago just before i had the windows blue screen error ( which i believe is completely unrelated to the soundcard). Or is this a software issue? Is there some missing files that i need on my machine before i install this soundcard?
    This problem is really driving me insane, if you can help me out, you'd be doing me a big favour! If you need anymore information on this situation i can tell you more.
    Please help me!!!!!! i want to listen to my music again!

  • Installation error for CS3 Design Standard on iMac running Snow Leopard (10.6.8)

    I had a fully functioning installation of CS3 on my iMac (Intel 2.16 MHz) and had a hard disc crash.
    After replacing the hard disc, I reinstalled from my original discs, but get the following message:
    "Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product  at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help"
    I uninstalled the program (and ran Adobe Cleaner for CS) ... then reinstalled.   Same message.
    I contacted Adobe installation support and was told that this is an old product and they cannot offer support. I find this response unsatisfying at the least.
    I am baffled because these programs had been running very well prior to the crash ... and all other software came back.
    I need this functionality, but cannot afford to upgrade at this time.

    I have recently had my computer rebooted with a new hard drive and windows 7. therefore ive needed to re-install 5.5 creative suite.     I would run System Restore to a point before the installation attempt to get rid of any bad registry entries, then run the cleaner tool for good measure: CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3
    After that I'd try running MSconfig and turn off all non-essential startup programs (especially malware and anti-virus scanners and third-party firewalls) and non-essential services, then re-boot. Ignore the warning about Diagnostic mode and run the Installer again. You can re-run MSconfig after install to restore normal startup.

  • OPTIARC-AD7560A-D803.exe firmware and CRC/installation issues for DvD RW drive

    Does anyone happen to know if the "OPTIARC-AD7560A-D803.exe" file is still available? If so, where?
    The file seems necessary to correct issues with my DVD RW drive, which experiences unfounded CRC errors when I try to install certain software from CD.
    The download link for this file was very easy to find on Lenovo's support website, but unfortunately the link produces what seems to be a 404 error or notice of discontinuation provided in cantonese.
    I know I need this file- if it is no longer supported by Lenovo, is there any place where I can download either that file or some equivalent new firmware to end the CRC errors?

    Hello,
    I wanted some help in installing Oracle BI 10.1.3 on the windows platform (XE). I just went through the complete process and the installation was successful. Now when I try to start OC4J I get the following error:
    Error: Cannot find file c:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\oc4j.jar
    I have JDK 1.5.0-11 installed.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Praveen
    Do you have a fully quaified domain name (FQDN) defined for the server and also defined in the HOSTS file? If you don't have this set up, and the Oracle documentation is mot very clear about the need for this, then your server will not be able to connect properly.
    Unfortunately, if you don't have this set up at this stage you will need to de-install the Oracle software, fix the FQDN, and then re-install. Making alterations to the FQDN after the event never works.

    I have spent hours installing, deinstalling, and re-installing Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.175.  My system is Windows 32-bit , English, MSIE.  I am told the installation is successful, then when I go to YouTube to verify, I still see a message,
    "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
    Download it from Adobe."
    I have gone to Safety->Tools->ActiveX Filtering and unchecked that box, deinstalled Flash, and reinstalled it.  No change. 
    I have gone to Internet->Internet Options->Security->Trusted Sites, and made sure Scripting is enabled, and did this for Internet and Local Internet as well. 
    I don't know what to do.  I have spent hours on this, and I don't know what else to do.  Suggestions welcome.  So is Tylenol.

    I have tried going to the http:\ numerous time but everytime i enter admin for password the same box pops up for me to do it again.  Any tips, pointers, or help would so greatly be appreciated.  As I see others are having issues and I have tried their suggestion to no avail.

    The reason why the admin is no longer working as the router password because you might have setup a router password, not knowing, during the first time you setup your router...If you remember the router password when you first used your setup cd to install your router then enter that password else you need to reset your router and re-configure it...
    To reset the router press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • How to resolve Update installation issues for Photoshop CS6

    I keep getting install error u44m1u5 when attempting to install Photoshop camera raw update 7.2   How do I resolve this?  I also get same  error  code for adobe bridge cs6 5.0.1.1 update and extension manager 6.0.4 update.  Adobe application manager also reports error code u44m1p210 along with these others.   I am running Win 7 sp1 64 bit and my Photoshop CS6 version is identified as 13.0.1.

  • Installation issues for 10.1 on WinXPsp2

         I have been trying to troubleshoot this myself to the best of my ability and I am just about at my wits end.  I have the uninstaller downloaded as well as the two different versions of installers(IE and Firefox).  I have repeatedly ran the uninstaller and it has only affected my IE flash information.  Help plz?
    OS:          WinXPsp2 (32 bit)
    Browser:   Firefox 3.6.10, IE 7.0.5730.11
    Flash Ver: "You have version 9,0,28,0 installed" - FF
                    No image - IE

    First,
    Run the uninstaller with -uninstall flag, like:
    uninstall_flash_player -uninstall
    Second,
    Ensure that there is no Flash directory inside C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\ (delete it if it is there even after uninstallation)
    Restart the machine.
    Run the Flash Player ActiveX or Plugin installer ensuring no browser, chat messenger etc are open.

    I recently purchased a STUDENT AND TEACHER LICENSING package: ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 5.5 DESIGN STANDARD. I installed everything and everything opens and works except Photoshop. When I try to open it it says, "Some of the application cxomponents are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application."
    I have reinstalled it twice now but there is no change. Why is this happening? How can I fix it? I just paid ~250 and I need Photoshop. Illustrator and InDesign are working just fine. Please help.

    You have permission issues on some of the plug-ins and the system libraries they are calling. A classic. Check file permissions on your plug-ins folder, especially on the performance extension (MMX plug-in and that)...
