Always X8 burn speed,
Old versions of Toast showed that was the highest for my old fully spec'd iMac.
A disc burner and CDRs might be up to x52 but the computer is rarely !!
Mine works at X52, but Im not so impatient that I need it at that
X8 always works and even with my Macs (see below)
I never go higher
A good way to check a burned CD is put it in a CD player, press play, then ffwd thru so you can hear it sped up, if there is any stuttering on the counter as it goes , Its been done too fast
If it forwards and the counter is smooth as it displays time, its fine
I store burning up so I can set stuff going while Im watching TV, not staring at the screen going "come on burn burn burn"
Then theres no need to rush and risk having a load of coasters

Click on the album art in your web browser and drag it to the little box for Album Art in the Get Info dialog.
On rare occations I find Drag and Drop doesn't want to work - right click on the image in your web browser and select COPY - the PASTE in to the box in the GET INFO dialog.

Alright, here is how you get album art work onto your iPod. If you bought the song on iTunes, you will already have the artwork there. Sometimes the album artwork, even if it was supplied from the iTunes store, corrupts the file. Just right click the song or video in your library, click "Get Info," and then click the "Artwork" tab. Click on the artwork and delete it, then try sync it to your iPod. It never fails for me.

The next time you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Scroll back in the log to the time you noted above. Select any messages timestamped from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

If you mean you are having trouble activating your iPhone after

Read this if you are thinking of ordering infinity...
Ordered infinity on 1st of June, had my conformation email after ordering stating that i would have a engineer come and do some work. asking me to be at home 8 Am till 1 PM (even though i ticked the box that said you don't have to be there for this visit as it will be external work). 13th came and no visit. OK i thought no problem as its external work no drama (lost a days pay though).
2 days later bt emailed me saying" sorry we missed you, your new appointment for the engineer will be the 18th also asking me to be at home for this visit 8AM till 1PM, Bt never turned up for this one aswell, No phone call email or text message to say why they have not turned up.( another days pay lost) so i rang bt 0800 800 150... 45 minutes later and 2 bt employees from India that could not help, they put me through to bt infinity division in England. Sharon apologised for the 2 visits that was missed but could not understand why. Sharon put me on hold so she could ring the engineers, 15 minutes later i was told that they would not be coming out today (18th) and she would put a message in there departments diary for some one to ring me on the 19th to explained why and put me on the high priority list.
7.30 pm on the 19th No phone call!!!!! so i rang again 0800 800 150. 20 minutes later and 1 lady from India i got through to the infinity diversion again and asked why no ones have rang me like i was told and promised (Sharon words not mine). Vicky from bt infinity could not believe what had happened to me and was shocked, my activation date is on the 25th and Vicky told me that i should not have had the 2 visits from the engineers until the activation date was completed ( ok £200 notes down the drain for taking 2 days off for no reason) she promised me that some one would ring me tomorrow 21st i told her i have already been feed that line yesterday but she promised they would.
guess what happened...... no phone call....... so after me ringing bt at 7.30pm tonight and finding that the department was closed via a pre recorded message (8pm is the time they close i checked) i tried one more time and got though to a lady that did not have a clue even after reading the notes on the system. she tried to ring the engineers department but got no answer. WHAT A F... JOKE...
I have never had such bad and disorganised customer sevice in my life ( i work in Customer Service myself)
I will be ringing bt back tomorrow in the afternoon to find out if there is anyone that can really help me find out what is happening to my order.
ps. to top it all off my home hub and welcome pack was due today 21st. that did not arrive and i have tracked it. its in isle of man rang the post office and they said it had been sent there by mistake (i live in Chester) now i am worried that if everything goes ahead on the 25th i will not have the home hub in time to start using infinity lol
if you are thinking of ordering infinity good luck you are going to need it after my experienceI feel your pain Bro, had a lot of hassle when I first got infinity, and lately had a bit of hassle before and during the upgrade. There is a serious communication error between various departments at BT and this is something they need to sort out. In my opinion it has lost them a great deal of custom and a great deal of money. As I am from N. Ireland I ended up having to get in touch with my local office in Belfast to sort the problem out and they did it flawlessly without any messing about.
1. Had engineer out regarding slow speed and I suspected it was a Retail server problem, engineer told me full speed was coming into the premises and reported this back to BT and Openreach.
2. BT said there was no problem with the server, sent another engineer, same thing...etc etc...Reported back to Openreach.
3. Openreach said there WAS a problem and that they have now fixed it, guess what...not fixed.
4. Another engineer call out, same thing.
5. This went on and on for 3 weeks
Ended up doing this:
1. a. Contacted local crew in Belfast.
2. a. got a call back the next morning and was told they will not be sending anymore engineers.
3. a. Line fixed within 2 hours of the call, and yes, you guessed it. Server problem all along.
BT needs to stop automatically blaming a lot of the faults on the end user and instead listen to the customer or they would have had this job fixed that same day. Instead they wasted money sending loads of engineers which could have been available for other installations etc. -
Read this if you are looking for WhatsApp for Wind...
As you are here I guess you either heard of the removal of the app or are looking for it. WhatsApp have pulled the app as according to their info and a tweet from Microsoft's Joe Belfiore they found some (serious) issues with the app and felt they needed to pull it completely.
They are currently working with Microsoft to get an update out as quickly as possible but have not given any (estimated) release date information.
If you want to know more I'd suggest you contact WhatsApp HERE as they are currently the only ones who will know anything beyond what I posted above. There really is no point in asking here as we (as a user to user support forum) have no more information.

Is anyone else having trouble burning CDs after installing Snow Leopard?
I received Snow Leopard plus iLife and iWork for Christmas and installed it on Wednesday. I burned two playlists to four CDs on iTunes Tuesday but today when I tried to do the same things using the exact same discs and the following message popped up on iTunes: "Disc burner or software not found." This is obviously happening because of Snow Leopard or the new iLife and iWork I installed. Any thoughts? How can I fix this? Do I need to install something else to be able to burn discs again? I need help really fast because I need these CDs right away. Thanks.
Message was edited by: tangodoodlesNo to the subject question. However, I've only burned boot discs for DiskWarrior and a Snow Leopard install disc, not music ones. Launch System Profiler in Utilities and select Disc Burning under Hardware. On my iMac it reports:

You should see something similar or your burner's gone south and that's a hardware issue. -

I order on the net +Taiyo Yuden+, who manufacture for other firms including Verbatim,An order for 100 cake tin, means they are very realistic in value. These discs look super and have not had a single fault. Dave -
No Audio on Main Menu - Please post if you are having this issue....

I am having trouble getting any audio on the main menu. I can drag and drop audio files (non-DRM) to all my menus, and it shows up in the inspector, but when I preview or burn a disc, the main menu has no audio. All of the sub-menus have the audio just fine, but not the main.
I'm currently using the 'Stretch' theme...
Again, all sub menus work just fine, but the same audio will not play on the main menu.
Does anyone have a solution?

BenI've stumbled onto the reason for this problem. It's because you unintentionally muted your audio for this menu. To resolve it do the following:
1. Open the menu where you are having audio problems
2. Click on the drop zone icon to open the drop zones
3. Move the music (the iTunes music notes) that you've placed here out of the menu box
4. By getting the music icon out of the way, you will reveal a tiny black sound/audio icon
5. If you strain your eyes and look real close you will see that there are no sound waves coming out of the sound icon
6. Click on the icon and tiny black sound waves will appear
7. You have now "unmuted" your menu
8. Drop your music selection back into the menu drop zone
9. You now have sound! -
I am the administrator of a team of 12 CC Licenses. I believe that we are all allowed to download CC onto one computer at our office as well as one computer or laptop at home for doing work after hours, etc. Many of us have done this and now we are all getting a pop up warning that "We are having trouble verifying you membership" and that we have "00 Days Remaining". This is very disturbing to us since according to your website we have 9 months remaining on our license. Any suggestions on this?

After about 8 hours of research, on-line chatting and finally a phone call all I have found out is that #1: I should remove or re-name the "hosts" document in my "/etc" folder. However, when I did that my Extensis Suitcase was disabled. Not a viable solution. #2: our firewall is blocking the Adobe products from contacting the Adobe server to verify our membership, therefor I need to install one of 17 possible URL's in our firewall to allow the connection. I cannot do this until next week when our IT guy is in for his bi-weekly visit. This does not make since to me because 3 of our team have not tried to install CC on a second computer and they are not having any trouble at all. So how could the firewall be the problem? I believe the problem is that it is impossible to find out the proper procedure to install CC on a second computer (home or laptop). Originally I was told that I needed to remove the existing user by clicking on the "X" in the CC admin-licenses panel and resend the invitation again so that CC could be installed on a second computer. All of our problems started after this was done. Now I am told that after the first license invitation was sent all that needed to be done to install on a second computer was to log in to the creative.adobe.com web-site, click on the Download Center tab and simply download everything you need on the second computer. Brilliant! Simple! Why is this not explained anywhere! So now I think I will try uninstalling CC from my second computer and try the Brilliant, Simple way and see what happens.

I have renew my Creative cloud membership on 20 July 2014. I still can log in into my account yet I get a message "We are having trouble identifying your membership" 00 days remaining. This message may refer to my old membership?! How can I reconstruct the automatic login and have the right days remaining number?

Launch the Creative Cloud app again for the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications Folder (Mac OS).
Launch the Adobe Photoshop CC and click 'Not my Adobe ID' in the Sign in window and sign in using the Adobe ID and password that was used to purchase the subscription. -

This may be a problem already address in the but I can't find a solution. We moved from a creative cloud team membership to a enterprise membership. We have created packages and pushed the 2014 out to the group. The package is licensed however we are still getting these annoying pop ups at launch. It states We are having trouble verifying you membership. Either you are offline or there is a billing issue. Please contact your administrator to resolve billing issues. Then there is a count down. After the count down is finished it just starts counting down again. We have uninstalled the creative cloud app since we are not using it. It has only work on some machines. No one is logged into the creative cloud anymore. Does anyone know how to solve this? I am sure there is a old library file that need to be deleted but as of yet I can not find a solution.
