Reading file from CD/DVD - Error starting program.

File appears to be corrupt. Reinstall file and then try again.
I have just uninstalled some video related pgms (AOL, Real) and the drive will read the disk now, which it wouldn't before.
Now I get the above error message. This file runs fine on my desktop PC. Any ideas what I should try next?

Hold down the shift key again while opening itunes, but this time click "Choose library". Navigate back to your original library file ... by default, on Vista, it's located in:
C:\Users\YourUserAccountName\Music\iTunes\
Once, you've opened the original library, quit iTunes again. By default, it should keep opening the original library from now on.
Oh yes, I could have worked this out myself! Thank you...
While iTunes is not running, in Computer open Local disk C:\ or whichever drive your program files are installed on.
Open the "Program files" folder.
Open the "iTunes" folder.
Right-click on your iTunes.exe and select "Run as administrator".
While running-as-an-administrator, run you diagnostics again. Do they now say +Current user is an administrator?+
If so, still while running-as-an-administrator, try another import. Does it go through without any of the error messages this time?
I've just tried this, the diagnostic did say I am an adminstrator but when trying to import the CD I still get the error (-50) message.
Also, I don't know if it makes any difference but my library is stored on a NAS.
Any more ideas?
Thanks for your help.

  • Open Data Set Error while trying to read file from non SAP server

    Hi all,
is it possible to read data from non-SAP application Sever?
I'm using OPEN DATASET p_filin FOR INPUT IN LEGACY TEXT MODE CODE PAGE '1504',
Where p_filin is other Windows server. Our applicition server is under Unix.Is it a problem?
I make test to read file from SAP application server and it was ok.So how to call other server?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Yes it is possible to read data from a non SAP server through the statement OPEN DATASET.
The important thing to check is that the SAP Server got enough access to the non SAP server so it can perform a reading/writing process depending on your needs.
You should contact your network administrator and BASIS to help you check the permissions. This can be pretty tricky, specially if the servers are in different domains.

  • Fetching of multiple files from Application Server into SAP Program

    Hi All,
I have a issue related <b>Fetching of multiple files from Application Server into SAP Program</b>.
    Actual issue is as below.
    In the <b>selection screen</b> of <b>my program</b> i will give <b>Application Server Path</b> as :
    <b>/PW/DATA/SAP/D1S/PP/DOWN/eppi0720*</b>
Then the based on above input it should pick up all the files that are matching <b>eppi0720*</b> criteria.
Suppose if i am having <b>5</b> files with above scenario, i have to fetch all those <b>5</b> files at a time and place in my SAP Program.
All those 5 file's data should come into SAP at a time.
Can anybody tell me how can we solve above issue.

  • PI sender communication channel not reading files from NFS directory

    Hello,
I have a sender communication channel configured to read file from NFS directory which is on ECC server. A program in ECC generates the file and puts it on the ECC server in the output directory. PI sender communication channel is supposed to pickup this file and process it. If I give the NFS path as the source directory, I am getting error: Configured source directory '//Server/DIR/OUT' does not exist. I tried putting '
Server\DIR\OUT' too but same error. Do I have to add the NFS path of ECC into PI as logical path?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Sangita

    Hello Sangita,
Your ECC server is an external system, therefore you need to activate FTP service in that system and use the transport protocol FTP:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e3/94007075cae04f930cc4c034e411e1/content.htm
You can use NFS protocol when you have a local directory in XI server.

  • Can't drag files from a DVD I burned

I transfer files off of my hard drive to conserve space from time to time. After burning the files to a DVD I am now unable to drag the files off the disk and transfer them back to my hard drive. I can only read them from the disk. What am I doing wrong?

Still need more information. What happens when you try to drag a file from your DVD to your Desktop? Does an error dialog pop up? If so what does it say? What happens if you use the cp command in Terminal ( +cp <path to file on DVD> ~/Desktop+ ). Does that succeed or fail? If it fails, what error message do you get?

    Hi Arik,
Thanks for your reply. I tried doing what u said, but it isn't working. My requirement is to List the files in the folder using FTP adapter and get the file name with the least file stamp from the FTP adapter and pass the FileName dynamically to another FTP adapter which reads the file based on the FileName. Run through the I/O tutorial here. It should get you up to speed on this sort of thing...

Opening files with Illustrator and photoshop doesn't work, i have to drag the files from finder in to the program.
This problem appears after opening 4 a 5 files, rebooting helps another 4 a 5 times and appears again.

I'd recommend reposting in the Boot Camp forum, that is where the Boot Camp and Windows gurus hang out.
    Good luck.

  • Reading files from a mapped drive

    Hello,
I am trying to pull image files off of a network share in Oracle Forms.
Everytime I do this, I get error FRM-47109 Cannot locate image file..... i
have tried accessing this drive with 2 methods:
    1. Button trigger calls with READ_IMAGE_FILE(:datablock.imagelocation ||
    :datablock.filename || '.tif', 'ANY', BLOCK7.IMAGE_ITEM);
    2. Button trigger calls with READ_IMAGE_FILE('\\server\images\'
    ||:CRASH_IMAGES.folder || '\' || :crash_images.docno ||'.tif',
    'ANY', 'BLOCK7.IMAGE_ITEM');
Both of these calls work on the development side where the T:\ drive is mapped.
When the form is put on the production server with the same T:\ drive mapping,
the image is unable to be located.
I have also found Microsoft article Q122702, which explains how network shares
are distributed to services. I have edited the registry key
RestrictNullSessAccess to a value of 0, and remapped the drive using: NET USE
    T: \\server\images /user:Administrator password.
None of this has worked for me so far, and I have been informed of possible
issues with forms and mapped network drives. Has anyone seen this before or know of a fix?
    Thanks,
    Jordan

I'm not too familiar with Windows user accounts.
I'm having this problem of not being able to read files from a mapped drive.
Using 10.1.2 Forms Service on a XP machine.
How do i check to see which user is running the forms service and/or how do I change the settings a user has access to?
Check in server-info and User/Group: #-1(1)/1, what the heck??
    Thanks.

  • How do I get files from multiple DVDs that are using thesame file names?

How do I get files from multiple DVDs that are using thesame file names? Message says "file already exists in catalog"

I am viewing your question from different perspective, that is, the issue that you face when you are ripping VOBs from a second DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc using Premiere Elements,
It is best to give the Premiere Elements version and computer operating system that it is running on. In the absence of that, I will generalize.
    Assuming that you are using
    Premiere Elements 12
    Add Media
    "DVD Camera or Computer Drive"
    Video Importer
Typically the Video Importer Save In: is C:\Users\Owner\Videos
Each of your DVD discs is going to have the same names for the ripped VOBs (VTS_01_1.VOB and so on depending on the duration of the movie). Consequently, after the ripping of the first DVD's VOBs and their save to Videos, you will end up with that "files already existing..." block for the ripping of the VOBs from the second DVD.
The answer is, for each DVD disc VOB ripping, to plan ahead and create and set for different folders in Videos in the Save In field of the Video Importer.
Please review and then let us know if that works for you. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need clarification on anything that I have written.
    Thank you.
    ATR.

  • Read files from multiple directories

Hy to all! I have a little problem with reading files from a hierarchy of directories, something like this: directory A contains: 4 filed and directory B, and also B contains 3 files and 2 directories and so on. i want to make a method that reads all the files from directory A (including all files from subdirectory). I know i have to use recursive programming, i need a method that will be use to do this. Can U help me to do this????? Thank you all.

Can U help me to do this?Sure. First, review basic File IO in Java: [http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/io/file.html]
Second, have a look at the numerous examples available on the Internet: [http://www.google.com/search?q=java+traverse+directory]
Third, let us know if you run into any specific problems.
    Good luck!

  • How do I extract files from a dvd I have already burned to re-edit back in Premiere?

I'm trying to extract the files from a dvd back to Premiere, the project was assembled with Premiere Pro 1.5, I need to re-edit that same project. The dvd is not a data disk.
    Please help!!

Along with the material in Eddie's link, you might want to read over this ARTICLE by Jeff Bellune, posted in the Adobe Encore FAQ's. While it addresses getting the material into Encore for authoring, much will apply to your situation.
Personally, I use an A-D bridge (though the file structure is already in digital form) to Capture directly from my DVD player to my computer. This is for non-commercial DVD's from my clients, where the original material is no longer available.. It's quick, easy and my Capture software Exports as DV-AVI Type II, so there is no additional conversion needed. If I need to work on the Menu structure, etc., then I use a workflow similar to Jeff's, outlined in his article.
Good luck, and please follow Eddie's link,
    Hunt
