I want the real estate org structure..there reporting ..how to map the businerss area, profit center and cost center..

In RE, Business area & Profit Center are assigned in the RE Objects. All RE Objects ( site, property, building) allow both revenue and cost. But, cost collected by RE objects settled to Cost Center.
Org structure could be : Company Code > Business Entity > Building / Property
In the structure as i said, BA/PC assigned in the RE objects. Mostly building / property created under business entity will have same BA/PC.

    I am required to work in a real-estate company project. 
    I am confused about the organization structure which should be created for the company.
    The company undertakes various projects like housing, shopping complexes, malls, wind-mills, etc.  and want to know the profitability reports of each individual project.  Every time  company will be starting new new construction activities.
    Please suggest an organization element how I can represent these in the Controlling Area and avoid number of GL accounts growing out of numbers.

    2. Is it possible to activate two industry solution in the same box ?
    yes you can with some small precations
    3. If yes, Will Retail and Real Estate or any existing Functional modules affect?
    No, there is no impact.
    4. Normally what is the time frame for implementing the Real Estate Module for GCC country zone.
    That based on project, max is 4 to 6 monts
    5. Real Estate is a new installation or Add-on ?

    There are two alternatives to maintaining Org Structures in any Company, like
    Creating and maintaining Org Structure
    and Creating, Editing and Deleting / Delimiting the following
    Org Units
    Jobs
    Positions
    Work Centers
    Relationships
    Assignment Features, etc
    FIrst alternative is that an individual or a group takes care of these at Cororate Level, for the entire Organization
    Second alternative is to make Unit Level / Business Level individual / group responsible to maintain Org Structure for their Unit / Business.
    I am not looking for suggestions as to which alternative is better, but <b>I am looking for feedback on how it is being managed in your Organization / at your Client</b>

    As per my experience our client wants every process to be done in corporate office only.
    So we are doing configuration based on their requirement & for each processess which includeds workflows.
    For Example if employees request for leave then it has to be processed by his chief who will send the mail to corporate office HR and from there his leave will be sanctioned. So the Cheif of every department will directly report to Corporate office.

    For instance I view an apartment ad which has various pictures attached. It says click on the pictures to see an enlarged version. FF opens the page however most of the page is blank and the picture appears to be pushed to the right side of the page and shows as if it has been scrunched agains the right side not showing the whole picture.
    What Can I do to correct this?

    I see that you have increased some font sizes considerably.
    * font.size.fixed.x-western: 20
    * font.size.variable.x-western: 22
    This can effect margins when the website specifies these as em values and cause content to shift.
    If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
    Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
    It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.
    You can use the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.

  • A certain real estate web site loads, but not the photos. IE does it OK.

    www.domain.com.au is a real estate sales page. Most of the site loads but not the photos, just a word 'House' in its place. I tried same site on IE and it all loaded correctly.

    I am adapting the Flash Form Real Estate tutorial and I am
    real close to getting everything working. Upon inserting a new
    listing it puts it in the MS SQL correctly but adds a blank row in
    the grid. If you refresh it shows up correctly. The only difference
    between the tutorial is that I need to get the primary key of the
    new insert. Help! I am so close but no matter what I do it comes
    back blank. ???????

    guys, excuse me but i couldn't find forums for real estate .. so , am gonna post a thread here and i hope it can be answered.
    when i'm creating a contract (term tab) there r 2 fields i dunno why would they differ from each others . therse 2 fields are CASH FLOW FROM & FIRST POSTING FROM .
    isn't it necessary to have the first posting date identical to the cash flow starting date ?!!

    The reference time characteristic is always the time characteristic
    with the smallest granularity, in your case 0CALDAY. You should delete
    0CALDAY from the time dimension and you can choose another time
    characteristic for reference.
    You can only change the InfoObjects in the time dimension of the cube
    if there is no data.
    You can also fill the 0CALDAY character in the start routine. You must
    insert 0CALDAY as an infoObject in the communication structure and then
    you can calculate the value of 0CALDAY in the start routine of update
    rules.
    Another way is that you calculate the value of 0CALDAY in the
    transfer rules. For this option you don't need a start routine but also
    need the InfoObject 0CALDAY in the communication structure.

    To use the SAP RE (SAP Real Estate) component, you need to install the following R/3 components:
    •     Financial Accounting (FI)
    •     Controlling (CO)
    Depending on the functions you require, you may install the following additional components:

    Planning and execution of planned or unplanned maintenance, modernization measures or new development in the real estate area     Plant Maintenance (PM)
    Ordering materials required for plant maintenance tasks on real estate objects     Materials Management (MM)
    Planning complex maintenance and investment measures with high risk factors     Project System (PS)
    Value-based management and treatment of fixed assets     Asset Accounting (FI-AA)
    Internal control function via profit center     Profit Center Accounting (EC-PCA)
    Process Flow
    1.     Create the master data required, such as business entity, building, property and rental unit. Determine the master data required for service charge settlements.
    2.     The rental process covers all activities involved, from receipt of the rental request through automatic assignment to vacant rental units and creating an offer up to the lease-out itself. Here you have to differentiate between internal and external usage.
    If you opt for sales tax for your commercial real estate, the system automatically determines the input tax and divides it into deductible and non-deductible portions during input tax processing.
    3.     You use the lease-in processes if the objects you are renting are not entirely in your own real estate portfolio. Using the lease-in, you map the agreed recurring or one-time payments. You can assign other vendor contracts defining, for instance, suppliers and services to lease-ins. Resubmission rules help you check the contract structure once or periodically (for example, three months before contract end or once a year).
    4.     Rental accounting incorporates processes related to posting activities. The main functions here are the debit position (for lease-outs) and periodic posting (for lease-ins), incoming payments, dunning and account maintenance.
    5.     You carry out the service charge settlement. Apportionable operating and heating expenses are settled against the advance payments made and then adjusted accordingly. If heating expenses are settled using an external company, data is exchanged by means of DME tapes.
    6.     You then plan the implementation of rent adjustments. The system supports your rent adjustments with the generally used adjustment methods as well as your own user-defined adjustments:
    o     Representative list of rents
    o     Comparative group of apartments
    o     Index-linked
    o     Modernizations
    o     Expert opinion
    7.     The system supports your balance sheet preparations by offering accrual/deferral functions for selected periods.
    8.     If you manage the rented object on behalf of a third party, a management contract regulates the relationship between you, as manager, and the owner. The related processes are mapped in the third-party management function.

  • Interface with Peoplesoft for Org structure

    Please let me know if there is way to interface with Peoplesoft to get the org chart (employees and their reporting details along with Org structure) and update the SAP Org hierarchy (PPOME). Any type of interfacing (file, RFCs, real time) options available to achieve this? We have our HR in PeopleSoft but need the Org chart in SAP for workflow and other reasons.
    If any one has done anything similar, please share how it was done. Thank you.

  • SRM Org structure clean-up / deletion

    We have developed a process to clean-up our org structure of people who have left the company.   In testing, we found that the standard deletion process does not allow for deletion of users who are tied to a shopping cart.    Our business requirement is to allow deletion of users who have left the company at least 6 months or more.    We do not anticipate that there would be action against shopping carts after that.   Is there a way to achieve this, to be able to delete users from the org structure who have carts created?

    You could create a dummy business partner and replace business partner in the shopping carts with the dummy one (DB Tables CRMD_PARTNER and BBPD_PD_INDEX_I), additionally BBPD_PD_INDEX_H for goods receipts. In that case you are not able to determine a real purchaser or goods recipient of shopping cart and goods receipt anymore. But you can delete a user.

    I'm developing a workflow and in one of the steps (activity step), I assign agent using organizational structure (position from HR). The problem is, that the org.structure differs on dev system and on production system. Mainly the IDs of position posts differ. How to solve this? Thanks in advance.

    I don't see why you need a custom table?
    The org issues aside, all that is needed is to assign your org unit to the task. Then leave the agent assignment blank in your WF. Job done.
    The other option is to create a dummy rule, which you thought was to be avoided. I don't agree, it takes 5 minutes, less effort than a table, less non-standard stuff ==> less explaining to people how to maintain & easier to troubleshoot.

    Replication would be carried out via transports. The RHMOVE* reports can also be used, or you could even set up an ALE connection between DEV and PRD. However I still would not recommend it. The development system is where you would need to create test users and/or org units. The other alternative is to have a master data client. All of these are a great deal of work which only make sense in certain types of environments - certainly not for the sake of a workflow.

      Will we create Organisational Structure in real time?.

    Pretty tough to understand what you might be asking.  Generally speaking the OS is created as much as possible looking at today or the future.  Of course one needs the Org Structure to reflect 'real time' by inputting what is viewed as the 'current' information and most accurate as known by the organization.  Once the OS is input then of course users will enter Personnel Administration to reflect the real time status of employees using the effective dates:  Start and To.
    If you are looking at 'my' record it is fair to say that in real time here is my current position, my current organizational unit, my current job and if the status is correct this is all in 'real' time.

    A realtor doesn't allow clients to search for homes - that's their job.
    The best thing to have on a site like this is a form that potential clients can fill in with all the details of their requirements.

    If the plan data is already available then I think you should go for extracting the data from ECC into BI and then load the data from BI cubes to BPC Applications.
    You can load the data to BPC cubes by usind standard method of DTP or using data manager packages. While loading the data from BI to BPC you can make use of transformations and structure the BI data in the format required by BPC Apps.
