Receiving blank emails

I have an iPad 1 (4.2.1) which I've used for about a year--no problems of any type.  Starting yesterday, the body of each email message is blank.  No button at the bottom to "load rest of message," can't find anything in Settings which applies.  The message IS there, because if I hit Reply, the incoming message appears, but then disappears again when I cancel the reply. Yesterday, some of my old emails were visible, some were not.  Today, none are visible.  What the heck is going on???  Do you think I might have hit some button by accident?  I can't imagine where, because until this happened.  I thought maybe there were too many emails stored, so I deleted a bunch of them--didn't make any difference.  Any ideas?

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Outlook 2010 receive blank email content

    Hi,
Recently, our company has upgraded the computer from Windows XP to Windows 7 and the Office 2000/Office 2003 to Office 2010. Some of the users start to receive the emails with subject and from/to email address but without email content.
Those upgraded Office 2010 with English and Traditional Chinese version. Our internal programs would send out a list of HTML format emails to users everyday. Those users would receive blank email randomly. For the users who still haven't upgraded machine,
all the emails are still working normally.
Our computers are working on a domain, but we didn't use any exchange server.
I did try to change the Color of the font and change to safe mode to open, but the problem still the same.
For example, the same email to user A and user B. User A can receive the email normally, but User B got the blank content email. However, User A and B also setup an auto-forward to Gmail mail account. Both users also can got the email normally from the
Gmail accounts. I have tried to "Rely" or "Forward" that blank email, also no content display. And I did try "View Source" or "View in Browser" for that email, it is blank as well.
It is very strange that as the blank emails are received very random. For example, User A will receive 9 mails per day. The blank email will occur in any of these 9 mails in any days in a week. Monday, you can receive the normal email for Mail 1, and you
may receive a blank Mail 1 on Tuesday and then Wednesday, you will receive the normal Mail 1 again.
Our company is using OfficeScan, however, we haven't enabled the "Mail Scan" feature. Some of our new machines have installed AV software, I have disabled the mail scanning feature already. However, we found that the Wins7 (ENG) - Microsoft Office
Home and Business 2010 (ENG) with AV software, still can receive the normal without problem.

    Any ideas?

If I understand correctly, this behavior only happen when user receive the emails from Outlook, and if we try to view the email from the web access, the emails will be displayed as expected?
Based on my research, this behavior - receiving blank emails - is mainly caused by the Anti-virus.
In my experience, disable or turn off the Anti-vitus, sometimes won't work as expected. (Sometimes we even need to remove them.)
My suggestion is, find one of the affected machine, run Windows in
clean boot mode - this will exclude 3rd-party services when starting Windows - for a period of time, and check if this behavior will still occur.

    Thx for your reply.
You mean the OfficeScan will cause this problem. As I know some of the machines have installed AVG as well, but some people couldn't receive the correct email, some did.
If it is really related to anti-virus software, what should I do to keep the anti-virus software as our company is required to install and also solve the blank email issue?

  • Receiving blank emails dated 1969

I have two iPads and two Macs, but one of my iPads has started to receive emails showing a send date of 1969.  These emails have no content and no subject line, and tend to arrive in groups of around six messages.  Has anyone else experienced this anomaly

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
    No data will be lost.

  • Receiveing blank reply emails on MS exchange

I receive blank emails replies from other users on our MS exchange server.  An example being... I send an email to John.  John replies and the message I receive is blank - no text or attachments.
Using Mail with MS Exchange server 2007.  OS 10.8.1 on my MBA.
    Any ideas?

Seemed to have solved this using the REBUILD command under "Mailbox" menu heading.

  • Incoming Blank Emails

I have recently started receiving blank emails (no subject, no text and no reply address).
Does anyone know what these are? I tried running a Spyware program but it just found loads of cookies and I am still getting these emails coming in - more than 1/2 dozen in a day.

  • Blank email either in outlook (2007 / 2013) or OWA

    Hello everybody,
I have a problem with some clients and Exchange server 2013.
I'll try to explain it in the best way possible and I apologize for my english too.
I have installed Exchange Server 2013 , some clients are using Outlook 2013 , some OUtlook 2007 (with all service packs isntalled) and some OWA (via  IE, Firefox or Chrome, the problem is on all of them).
The same email is received by someone as usual, and by someone with blank body : in both cases , the attachments are displayed , but the text of the email isn't.
On Exchange server there's no antivirus, no antispam  installed, some clients working have avg installed, some clients that aren't working have avg installed too. AVG Plugin for Outlook is disabled.
The problem is on OWA too. I've thought it could be an issue due to the ssl certificate (Outlook 2007  needs a valid certificate to work properly) so I've changed it. Since the change I don't receive blank email on a client, but still don't read older
emails that had blank body .
I don't know where  else I have to look  , but I need absoluterly to retrieve that emails that I cannot read.
    How can I solve that?
    Thank you
    Luciana

    Hi Luciana,
According to your description, the issue happens to some users instead of all users. There is no antivirus, no antispam installed in Server side. The blank email in OWA should be firstly received by Outlook client. The issue may be caused
by any third-party programs from client side in user local machine.
Please close Outlook and only send/receive test messages in OWA to check whether the issue persists. If there is no issue when only using OWA to send/receive messages, please restart the problematic user's Outlook client in safe mode and check whether the
    issue continues.

  • I receive daily emails from the NY Times, which I read from my Ipad. Some of the emails will show all of the stories available, and some will only show a few lines in the body and the rest of the email is blank. Any ideas of what I need to do to fix this?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

  • Emailed form received blank

Our clients are filling out a form with an email button and also a save button when they need to access our services.  When they save the form, it is saved in their local drive with all the data they entered.  When they email the form to our service desk email mail box, the form is received blank.   Why is this happening?   We have been using the same form for 3 months without any problems up until a few days ago.

    Hi,
    1.  The users are using Windows XP.
    2.  Yes, Extended Reader Rights was applied on the form.
    3.  The form was revised in July and is posted on our internal web page for users to access.
Thank you for getting back to me.

    Try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Blank Emails with Attachments from Apple Mail if received into Gmail IMAP.

    Hi
I have noticed that if I receive an email with an attachment from someone using Apple Mail to my Gmail IMAP account (in Apple Mail) the body of the text is blank. I get the attachment but the only way to read the body of the email is to show the Raw Source. Has anyone else had the same problem and does anyone have a solution?

Not me and I use gmail's IMAP service with Apple Mail frequently. You're probably better off posting this question on google's gmail forum which you can get to via the help section on the gmail.com web site.

  • Why am I suddenly sending blank emails from my ipad third generation. The emails are received but nothing is in them.

Suddenly I seem to be sending blank emails to everyone from my third generation ipad. They receive the email but nothing is in it yet if I look at my sent mail it appears there. What happened?

Hi, ybg, and welcome to the Community,
Your detailed report (thank you) indicates to me your account has been compromised a second time.  Change your Skype account password immediately if you have not already done so, as well as that of any saved payment method on file.  I would also run a maintenance cycle on your computer/laptop, ensuring all patches and updates are installed.  Also run your preferred anti-virus/malware/spyware suite using the most recent virus signature files available.
You are right to contact Skype Customer Service to report this incident.  I have read that people experience problems reaching them, however please do continue to do so, choosing a different path through the various steps than you used the first time; try also using a different web browser.  I have also read that the instant message chat sessions with Customer Service agents appear as a pop-up dialogue box, which needs to be enabled or the connection to the agent will not process.
Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
As a general proactive precaution, I would recommend reviewing how you access the internet, particularly seeking any vulnerabilities or patterns common to the first incident and this one.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Outlook 2010 intermittently receiving blank body's in email

I have a single user who this issue has followed her from one pc to another
User receives emails from a group every day and she is the only one experiencing this issue, about 15 people get these emails.
My  company uses Citrix and inside citrix we use outlook 2007 and she has no issue receiving the emails.
I have made the user another outlook profile locally as well as delete all temp files for outlook, and checked that her settings where the same as the user next to her whom is not having this issue.
I do not believe it is any virus blocker preventing this as shes the only one experiencing this issue.
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated

    Hi,
It's necessary to check the antivirus settings because antivirus may integrate into Outlook and installed an add-in in Outlook, which is a common reason for this issue. You can check if this applies:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2854787
In addition, does the user sync his email to other mobile devices? If so, please disable the sync and then test the issue again.
Please let me know the result.

When I send emails using my iPad, some recipients are telling me that I am sending them blank emails.  I've had some of them forward the emails back to me so I can take a look and it seems that my message is actually there but the text is white.  Interestingly enough, I was a Windows user just a few months ago and I was on the receiving end of this same problem with someone who was sending emails from her iPhone.  I don't believe it is happening every time but if it happens even once it's a problem.  Any idea what's going on?

Oddly enough, having reported the problem it appears to have fixed itself. There may be some combination swipe gesture that triggers it is all I can think because I suddenly manged to zoom my display x3 by double tapping three fingers. Took me a while to sort this out but then when I got back home I could suddenly see all my emails again. Bizarre!

  • Blank email body in Mac Mail

Both my wife and I are using Mac Mail 4.5 on Snow Leopard 10.6. We have both started to see the occasional blank email, i.e. all the headers appear as normal, but the body of the email is completely blank.
I have one recently that that was a receipt from a Paypal purchase (i.e. someone I receive emails from without problem all the time) that was blank. Bizarre. If I go to View > Message > Raw source, I can see the content of the message in plain text. If I go back in Time Machine all the way back to the day it arrived, it's still blank.
For my wife, her most recent blank email is one that she herself sent! Trying the View Raw Source trick doesn't work for her.
    Whats' going on here?
We've repaired permissions, rebuilt mailboxes... but to no avail.
Any help gratefully received - we can't operate business with blank emails!

  • Blank Email body

I am receiving Apple email with blank body after picking up from mail server. The body is there when looking at preview or reading mail online.
    The preview shows this code
    --Apple-Mail-12-756654028
    Content-Type: text/plain;
    charset=us-ascii
    format=flowed;
    delsp=yes
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Any ideas? I saw a previous post suggesting the send change outgoing host but hesitate having that discussion with a client if not necessary. I am able to read the mail on my iPhone with no problem.

Try to rebuild the index file of the troubled folder.
Right-click the folder - Properties - Repair Folder
