Red layer over screen

Hey, I was using my macbook and suddenly this red layer appeared over the screen. You can still see, but everything is red! And then suddenly goes back to normal, but if you move the screen it goes red again... PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS

This is certainly a hardware issue. More than likely a failing video cable, inverter board or logic board. You'll need to take it in for service for diagnosis.

  • Adding a text layer over a sliced PS image

Having trouble positioning a text layer over a PS sliced
    image.
The sliced image is positioned relative to the center of the
page (so it appears in the same place regardless of monitor size or
resolution, and that's where I want it).
I can position the layer in Dreamweaver, but when previewed
in the browser, the test layer moves to the left -- apparently
being positioned relative to the left side of the screen.
Is there any way to position a text layer so that it is
position relative to the center of the page (and therefore reliably
will appear on top of an image also positioned relative to the
    center of the page)?
    Any suggestions?

This is a bad approach. Consider what will happen to your
    careful alignment
if someone resizes their text in their browser. If you must
    place text over
an image, the best way to do it is to make the image the
    background of some
container, and then use CSS (margins or padding) to nudge the
    text into the
desired location location. You will still have the same
    problem, though.

That's how absolutely positioned elements work when they are
    not within some
other positioned element. The zero coordinates default to the
    <body> tag,
i.e., the upper, left-hand corner of the browser viewport.

Certainly, but you will have to understand CSS positioning to
    accomplish it.

  • AE - Render differs from preview (get red outline and red layer)

Please excuse a newbie... I'm using AE and all looks good with the text I create.. I add a pre-set animation and then render to swf file. Sometimes all goes well, but most of the time I get a red hue over the graphics or the text gets an outline. See examples here...
This swf file rendered perfect.. all silver text and good reflection:
    http://www.denmasterstudios.com/vision.html
This swf file (from the same AE document, I only changed the text) rendered with a red outline and red hue over the reflection:
    http://www.denmasterstudios.com/hardware.html
It is kind of hard to explain, hence the examples. Thanks for taking the time to check it out. I'm spending too much time trying to diagnose.

Hello all and thanks for the tips. I really appreciate your help. After having it work sometimes and sometimes not, I definitely checked most everything you all mentioned. I really thought the answer shouuld have been in the areas you all pointed to... but I got lucky and found it somewhere else... maybe this was a newbie thing, but I'm willing to swallow my pride and cough it up...
My file was created from following Creative Cow's "reflection" tutorial step by step... in the tutorial, you "pre-compose" your text layer and create another layer below it. This other layer becomes your reflection.
    Here's what was happening:
When I export to .swf, if I am viewing the pre-composed layers in the "comp" viewing area, I will get the red hue around stuff during the render, but not in the preview. If I switch from the pre-composed layers, back to the main layers, and view the main "comp" at the highest level and then render, I get a perfect render... make sense? perhaps it was human error... I just felt that the render would always look like what you are previewing. Make sure you render from the main layers and not while still looking at a pre-composed layer...
    thanks again all!

  • Layer style screen pops up for each photo in Automate Batch processing

Please HELP! I managed to re-record an existing Action without problem. I double click on <Set Layer style on current layer> and change to a new Layer Style for my Watermark Text. The <Contour> is Linear. The Actions panel turns red during editing.
But when I run > Automate > Batch and select that edited Action, the <Layer Style> screen pops-up for each photo and the only way to finish the batch of photos is to click <OK> for each photo. I’m using Photoshop CS5. I have refresh Photoshop, restart my laptop but the problem remains.
I did another copy of the original Action and just changed the
value in <Text Layer> and it works in the Batch processing. This problem only happens when I changed the value in the <Layer Style>.
I have been looking into many forums and still could not find the solution. I appreciate some advice as soon as possible as this problem has dragged on for two weeks now.
    Thank you in advance.

As silly as it sounds to be, I found a way out!
I decided to change the value again in the <Layer Style> on the same Action (ie Main WM Name 70 copy), and RUN <Automate> and on second RUN the <Layer Style> screen doesn't pop-up!
I just couldn't believe my eyes and did some rounds of testing! And it works:
a)Firstly, I will change the <Layer Style> to any value and saved it
(Just to test it, I Run <Automate> and the <Layer Style> screen pops-up at each photo)
b)Then I change again the <Layer Style> to the actual value I want
    c)Run <Automate> without the <Layer Style> screen pops-up
To test further, oddly enough, if I change the <Layer Style> value the 3rd time, the pops-up screen appear again! And to overcome the same problem, I have to change the value 4th time, and the problem disappears.
So simple solution (at least for me) and yet I cracked my head for two weeks to overcome it!
    Thanks for your time, c.pfaffenbichier.

  • Red triangle over black when creating new solid

IfI create a new blue solid in a comp, the layer comes up black with a red triangle over it and I can't see anything on the layer. If I apply a plugin like Particular to the layer, it is invisible.
This just started happening after creating layers in a composition to be used for optical flares.
You will notice in the attched phot that the layer solid is supposed to be red- not black...
    any ideas?

  • How to extract the red layer from BayerRG8 file with VBAI?

    Dear readers,
We're currentely trying to build a inspection program using a CVS and two cameras.
A first question to help us: How can we extract the red layer from a Bayer RG8 image?
To illustrate a lit bit more: lets take a picture of chilis and tomatoes plants. We would like to extract the red color of the picture to know where the vegetable are and if they are eatable.
So, in a first time, we just want to see the red layer of the picture.
On a second step, we would like to extract the poistion of the red areas and rank them according to intensities and store all the relevant data in a .txt file.
Thank in advance for the time you will spend on that topic.
    Regards

Maybe including a picture with the info you want would help. It sounds like you could use a detect object step (which works with color images), and you could get the position of all red objects. I would also recommend using the Hue plane instead of the Red plane to look for color since this is more robust to lighting changes. Once you have the bounding box for each red object, you can create a programmatic ROI around it and use the Measure Color step to get detailed color information about your reb objects. Here's a sample inspection that uses colored candy to give you an example of what I'm suggesting. Let us know if more specifically what you are looking for if this doesn't help. The example is in VBAI 2012. Let us know what version of VBAI you are using because this may affect what functionality you can use.
    Thanks,
    Brad

  • Satellite C660D-1GD: no sound and Red Cross over speaker

Just turned on my Laptop, Satellite C660D - 1GD and my sound isn't working.
There is a red cross over the speaker and the diagnosis didn't help at all.
Tried a system restore, nothing - no change at all. Tried going through the system drivers and there is no driver for sound :o. Ok, came to this site, downloaded the correct driver, installed and restarted and nothing again :s .
Updated the BIOS and then went into and checked the BIOS, and even checked for simple sound to just have my time wasted. Any help would be great.
    Thanks in advance.

    _Firstly:_
Did you check if mute isnt enabled?
Press FN + ESC to enable or disable mute
    _Secondly:_
Go to control panel -> sound -> Playback tab
Check if the devices in the playback tab are activated and set as default device
Additionally click right to ensure that options are marked like; show hidden devices, show disabled devices
    _Thirdly:_
The sound card is from Realtek.
So you can download the Realtek HD audio driver from Realtek driver page
Before installing new driver, uninstall installed Realtek driver from control panel -> programs & features

  • My iphone 6 shows a red or black screen every half an hour or so.

Its becoming a frustrating problem. Whenever it happens it shuts off. I have already reseted all settings and it continues to do this. Will Apple replace my iPhone 6?

    Hello ipodred10,
I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone. If you continue to have issues with intermittently seeing a colored screen just prior to your iPhone restarting by itself, you may want to try the troubleshooting outlined below for a somewhat similar issue:
If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
    Sincerely,
    - Brenden

  • Canvas gets a red 'filter' over image when transport is stopped!

Hi, I have had this problem in the past, and it mysteriously disappeared, but now it is back- and it doesn't seem to be going away. When I am working in the timeline, and hit PLAY, the video image in the Canvas looks just fine. But when I hit STOP, there is a red hue over the canvas, with an opacity that shows the proper image beneath it. When I hit PLAY again, the red goes away. This crazy situation is making it practically impossible to work on color correction with the 3-Way. Help!  This problem doesn't occur in the Viewer window. I am working with Final Cut Pro 7.03 on a Mac Pro 10.7.5
Thank you for any advice on how to fix this weird problem.

Pull down this menu in the canvas window:
Make sure it's set to RGB instead of RGB+Alpha

  • Graphics layer over video Layer problem

    Hello!
we are blu-ray applications developers and we have a problem with repainting graphics layer over video layer. In MHP this problem is solved using the method call repaint() to the HScene. This Method remove all graphics and paint again. But in Blu-ray is not work correctly. When you have a graphics over video, this graphics don´t disappear when you paint other graphics, because don´t refresh the HScene and all the containers get painted over the others.
what is the solution of this problem?
Thanks a lot for your help!
    Regards

    Thanks for your reply.
As far as I know, targas can only be RGB. I couldn't find a way in Photoshop to work in YCbCr. I have Photoshop CS, so its pretty old, but even on my work computer, which has CS3, I didn't see anything. Next week I'll be installing CS4, so there might be something in that.
I won't be able to test anything until late tonight, but I'll try several formats to see if they make a difference. I'm wondering if there might also be some kind of option in FCE to convert imported graphics to the correct color space.
When keying graphics over video in your projects, how do you save them(formate, color space, etc)? Ever see this issue?
    Thanks for your help

  • Putting A Layer Over Drawing Canvas - Tile Map

I want to make it so that a layer will be above the map when its drawn.
Like I want a layer over this, cause im making a menu for the game, but the game is above the layer.
var tiles:Object = new Object({width:52, height:26}); // The size of the 'flat' tile. Tiles are allowed to be different dimentions, to give the '3D' effect.

there are no layers when your fla is published (or tested).  all displayobjects are assigned depths based on code used to assign depths and compiler code that assigns depths to objects you place on-stage in the authoring environment.
all objects placed on-stage in the authoring environment are placed at negative depths starting with about -16,380.   that's why your menu (which is probably added to some layer in the authoring environment is below the movieclip you placed at nextHighestDepth() (which adds to no depth less than zero)
to change a movieclip's depth use the swapDepths() method of movieclips.

  • Red static, flashing screen on Apple TV. Brand new

I have three TV's in my house and the Apple TV is not working on any of them. The only results I get is on one TV, which is a red, static flashing screen vaguely displaying the setup screen. I have tried 5 different cables and a converter box, still with no results. I have taken the Apple TV to work where I hooked it up to a TV, my computer monitor, tested all 5 cables and it works fine. All my TV's at home have multiple HDMI ports and it doesn't work with any one of them.
I have also done the reset through ITunes, tried again with no results. Brought it back to work and it still works there. The TV's in my home are about 7 years old, could they be out of date already?! This is why I don't try to keep up to date with electronics. As soon as you buy something it it's already out of date. It's like buying a car ... depreciates $3000 as soon as it leaves the lot. Products are manufactured, released and the new version has already been built just waiting around for 6 months to be released. I hate this because I now have a paperweight that can't be returned because my wife purchased it through Groupon and they have a 14 day return policy which has lapsed.
    cables I've tried
    Amazon cable with Ethernet
    1.3
    1.4B
Not sure what the other 2 are
Does anyone want to buy a paperweight?

If its working with the monitor(s) at work then the issue lies with your TVs at home. It's hard to say what exactly, I have an ATV working just fine on a 8 year old TV so I don't think it's purely age that's the factor.

  • Displaying gray over screens that it should not display. Why

When I go to the following web site using Firefox and select the support button the following occurs.
    1. The support page comes up for about 3 seconds.
    2. And then an old Gray-over screen comes up that takes up about 90% of the Page. Short of closing the page or clicking a link with in the 10% that is showing, nothing can be done to close the gray-over-screen. This Problem does not occur when I use Explorer.
    http://www.wondershare.com/
    3. I almost always get an server error if I try to use active controls that are available.
I believe that this error is being caused by both a problem with Firefox and the Wondershare website. The wondershare people are leaving behind a old files that are not linked in the sub-directory that is used for the linked files. Then somehow Firefox is reading the old files where Explorer is not.
