Refresh inbox

Does anayone know how SAP refresh the inbox of the workflow
automatically. Is there a systemparameter that says refresh every ?? minutes. Can you influence this from inside a workflow.

There is a parameter to refresh the inbox if you are using the Portal.
you have 3 horizontal small lines on the extreme right hand side beside "show filters" and "hide preivews".
Once you click on the 3 horizontal small lines it gives you a list which has
Refresh
Personalize View
Manage Substitution Rules
Display connection Status.
If you click on the Personalize View, it contains the option which says Page Refresh Rate...
If the refresh rate is set for 5 mins, the approved workitem wont vanish from the inbox until the page gets refreshed after 5 mins.
Try to change the refresh rate to 1 min or so... it works.... I have done this.....

A recent problem; when I click the inbox or the little refresh icon next to it, my laptop screen flips back to thye BTHomepage, losing any emails I may have open. Any solutions? I tried ringing the TECH support, but as there was a busy queue, opted for call back... In vain! Ideas, as its a pain to have to constantly sign in again from the Homepage?

Need to refresh SAP Inbox(UWL)

Hi,
I want to refresh UWL explicitly in java code since it is not getting refreshed immediately once user approve/reject any task, it refresh after around 1 min or need to do it manually to see the updated list.
So it create confusion that task has been approved/rejected or not.
I want piece of java code to refresh Inbox explicitly that I 'll write in my custom java dynpro handler of one event raised by UWL iView.

Updation:
Although i dont have Much Experience with UWL Api,and the below mentioned approach is not tested. But while going through the Api i thought Probably to achieve refreshing you can try the following:
Get the instance of UWL portal service in your WD application
Obtains the UWL view manager : IUWLViewManager getViewManager(UWLContext ctx)
Obtain UWLView, This is used to get a view by its ID name which is defined in the system or custom XML files :
UWLView getView(String id, UWLContext context)
After getting the desired view you can set its refresh ret accordingly.
You can give this a thought.

Refresh workflow item issue after task processing

Hi expert,
We have a urgent client issue regarding work item in SAP inbox. I am new in workflow process.
He has 142 work item in his inbox for invoce processing. But he has processed 70 from them. After processing these 70 invoices, all processed workitem should be gone from his workitem list. But some of wotkitem which has been processed, are still there in his inbox after refreshing inbox. I have check standard task TS30001128 has been used in workitem.
Please sggest.
Also How we can find workflow from TS30001128. Each work item has a workflow id. How we can check it?

Hello,
To find where a task is used, go to e.g. PFTC_DIS, fill in Standard Task and the task number, click Display, then click on where-used.
For this case, I would look at the user's inbox in SWI5 and then click on the list of workitems to see the workflow log. It should tell you why the workitem is coming back (if he really did refresh).

701 Mail, Calendar, Social network and Web bug.

im pretty satisfied with my 701 but just right now i started to experience bugs. let me explain
Calendar- sometime (always when i go through widget) when i open a calendar, it opens a speciffic day (the one that is actual), and im unable to select month or any other view point, and i cannot see any of my notes in the calendar until i restart my phone.
Mail- widget sometimes doesnt refresh inbox even though i have it set on 15 mins. (happend last time for a week. thought i had no mail, instead i found 10 new messages.) also sometimes my mailbox wont open using widget, only with a normal Email icon.
Social network just doesnt want to open at all. says (in translation something like "Unable to launch the client"
Web- even though i have 3g network signal and mobile data are turned ON, opera mobile, and Web client (the nokia one) both cannot connect to the internet for some time.
i tried backing up my phone data (not applications only galery, phonebook, music, ebooks etc and videos) and erasing (reseting) my settings. when i turned my phone on again, it asked me to enter time, date, my nokia account etc. as if i just bought the phone. then i loaded my backup files. email looks like its working again, calendar got stuck just today again... social network still doesnt work, web still cannot connect to 3g network sometimes..
dunno what else to try, starting to be little angry, since calendar and web are the things i use more often then sms and calls.
is this common? will there be an update to fix this? or is there a simple solution to my prob?
i would add an attachment supplying info about my phone but i have no idea where to get such file.

IPhone 4 Repeated Synching with Exchange 2010

My 4S is set yo with active sync to my office exchange 2010 server. Every few minutes all the entries vanish and it re-loads in my inbox. It is set up exactly the same as my previous 4 with the same servers which never had this issue. I have also connected my 4S to another exchange eviroment and ge the same effect ie refreshing inbox. Any ideas?

I am syncing through iTunes and I am referring to the dots assigned to the actual events, below the month view and in the list view. I do NOT mean the dots in the month view that indicate that there is an event for that day.

My Inbox Takes a Long Time to Refresh

My inbox on Mac Mail (desktop / Mavericks) takes a very long time to refresh. Messages that I have archived on iOS or on my other Mac (Mac Air) are still in the inbox and new messages do not appear.
I have rebuild the inbox, refreshed, re-started etc to no avail. There is only a lag on my gmail accounts. I am aware of the "All Messages" issue with Mavericks and my IMAP is set up properly.

First of all....well done on all your hard work, keep it up! I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for a while now...and don't plan on stopping...it's amazing!
Okay.....soo the problem....
My laptop needed to be refreshed...as it was almost getting to the point of "the Blue Screen of Death"
I had to re-install my Thunderbird with the 24.5.0 version... I am using Windows 8
HOW....do I get my sent messages (which were saved in my sent folder in my previous version of thunderbird), as well as get my Addresses from my address book..?
Ofcourse I don't have a saved or backed up file of the previous settings...messages....addresses etc....
but I do see a "windows.old/users" file though.....and I've read many....many different Mozillazines.....as well as even tried to read - Restoring a profile backup / Restoring to a different location - But that required me having to locate a backed up profile.....which again..i wasn't able to back it up.
I lost my software like Office and Adobe...however all my files and folders of pics...music....letters for work etc etc...have all be restored onto my desktop.
I have looked through many pages of your forum but I haven't been able to find an answer.....
Any help..??

The Update --
I have all my Mail in One of my accounts (work)....but not all the Mail in the other account (aka my Music account).....
Both I've set up again..using your advice...and changed both now to IMAP..
Originally after refreshing my laptop, when I set up Thunderbird....I used the POP settings.....and that's when I messed it up.....
but using IMAP now....I've gotten more of my old emails .....in my INBOX.....not all.....but most....YIPPIE
My SENT emails....in my Music account.....have all disappeared.......I've looked in both sent folders...in POP...and IMAP....and nothing is there...
However my sent folder of my work account...I have SOME of the sent emails...
Address books....Collected and Personal folders.....I have NO Email Addresses at all.
Sooo now even though I am getting confident we will solve it.....I still have 4 accounts....aka...2 Work (POP and IMAP).....2 Music (POP and IMAP) until you tell me to delete or change one from each.....
BOTH IMAP accounts.....do not show new messages...when they come in....however the POP shows it.....I did read that If I deleted the POP to change to IMAP I will not be able to get emails.....sooo not sure what to do about that issue now....
Is there an "automatic" backup feature for Thunderbird...?? All this could have been soo prevented if I did that....sheesh...

Refresh activities listed in workspace inbox automatically

Hi, I have a split-n implemented inside a process. The activity is asigned to a group of persons with a specific role. The first person who executes the activity completes the activity and the process continues, but this activity is still shown in other persons whom the activity was assigned previously.
I want to reload other users' inbox so they can't see this activity anymore.
I found this code inside workspace.properties, which is located in OraBPMStudioHome\webapps\workspace\WEB-INF.
# Not used in this version.
fuego.workspace.refreshTimeMin=1
I've also found this code for FuegoBPM System Administrator 5
fuego.portal.autoRefreshMenuOptions=true
fuego.portal.refreshTimeMin=0.1
I've tried coping this code inside in workspace.properties but it didn't work.
Does anybody know the equivalent to refresh activities listed in workspace inbox automatically code used in Oracle BPM Studio 10.3.1.0?

normally the inbox is refreshed automatically when you enter.
We found the program that is called when you enter the inbox.
Here you can add additional code.
Function module: SINWP
subroutine: append_folrg_to_tree

Weird User error - Items disappear from Workflow inbox when refreshed

Hi All,
One of our end users gets this error -
He logs into business workplace, and clicks on one of the items and exits without doing anything - on refresh the item vanishes from his workflow inbox - not visible in any sub folders or Outbox (Work items exceuted by me).
Same thing occurs when he clicks on the "Reserve" or "Replace" icons for an item and does a Refresh. The item disappears from Inbox.
Tried to swtich off the Preview pane and refresh - same occurence.
Tried to refresh / reserve from another computer and the same thing occurs.
Is this a problem with the GUI / user profile?
Any pointers highly appreciated.

Is the user in question a selected agent for the work item(s)? Does this happen only for a specific user? If so, it could be an authorization issue. Check for any failed authorizations (SU53) for the user. What is the status of the WI when it disappears from the inbox? If in error, check for error messages in the technical display of the WF log.

Agent Inbox Refresh

Hello experts,
I have a requeriment for an agent inbox in CRM 7.0, i need to refresh automatically the inbox.
I reviewed the BAdI: Agent Inbox, but i don´t find a method to do this.
How i can do this?

Hi Miguel,
I think you cannot achieve this with server programming (BAdI, etc...). To force regular inbox refresh you need to program it on the client:
You will have to add some javascript code (function setTimeout, invoking the inbox search button automatically at regular time intervals) in the view that handles inbox search.

My aol inbox does not automatically refresh and display new messages in firefox, but it does in google chrome. How do I fix this?

I have been trying to update settings to allow my aol mail to automatically refresh when new messages come in, vs having to click on the "inbox" in order to view new messages. I followed aol's troubleshooting steps to allow for this, and I finally got it to work in google chrome... but it will not automatically refresh in firefox. can you please help? thanks!

No this is not possible.
I think that if you have a workitem with highest priority, you will get a popup message in SAP, check the other tab of a dialog step.

Inbox Refresh

On GW 12.0.2 I have a user that when an email is sent to them and if Refresh is not performed, it takes approximately 8 min to display in the Mailbox.
Anytime F5 is pressed the mail displays and it does show the message as arriving at a reasonable time (usually Under 1 min of sending)
The issue is it is Not automatically showing on the Client unless F5 is pressed or wait 8 minutes or more.
I checked Environment, the Refresh interval is 1 min.

I checked for the 8911 errors. I am getting about 20-30 per day.
I added the --udpslap in the startup file about a month ago, at that time it was over 300 per day.
I verified the spelling and placement of the udpslap and it is OK.
(also I am using SLES 11 sp3 GW 12.0.2 and it is Virtual using VMWare 5.5.0 Build 1300321 )

Open up your poa web console, go to log files, select all and enter 8911
as the search criteria, click on View Events. The resultant list will
show you if you are experiencing this error. It affects communication
between your clients and the poa. In fact, mail may not appear in the
inbox until F5 is pressed, or it appears only after a couple of
minutes.
To resolve the error, open up your poa startup file and go to the end of
it. Before it says ====End Of File==== and the following switch:
--udpslap
The above is the Linux switch, just adjust it if your system is on
Windows. As far as I am aware you do need to do a restart on the POA.
