Reg: DRP Setup.

Hi All,
What is the exact difference between 'Demand Schedule Items' and All Planned Items' in the DRP setup.
Regards
Ramesh

Hi Sandeep,
We have brand new part in oracle and it has no demand.
1.Create Sales order for Part1
2.Run the MDS
3.Run the DRP planned items = 'Demand Schedule Items'
4.Release the Requisition (Buy item)/Wip Job(Make Item)
5.Cancel the Sale order for Part1.
6.Rerun the MDS
7. Re-run the DRP planned items = 'Demand Schedule Items'
DRP is recommending the cancel message for part1.
Business needs justification .. why DRP is considering the part don't have demand .. is it a oracle standard functionality ..if so how DRP working ..
Regards
Ramesh

  • Reg: QM - Setup - Notifications

    Dear Friends
Presently i am tring to initialize setup tables for Entire QM module.
I activated all the data sources in RSA5 & LBWE
I initilaized "Setup BW Structures for Quality Management" for all (Notifications(Q0), Inspection Lot(QV), Inspection Results(QE)) using transaction code OLIQBW.
Except Notifications(Q0), the remaining Two succesfully initialized with data when checking with RSA3.
I Know, for Notifications setup will initialized using tables QMEL, QMFE, QMMA, QMUR, QMSM
But when i seen in SE11,QMEL alone had lots of data and QMFE had only two data and QMUR had only one data.
The other tables (QMMA, QMSM) doesnot have any data.
I am little bit confused, Whether this is the reasion for setup doesnot have any data.
Can anybody throw some lights to me...
Points will be awarded for the right answers.
    Regards
    Raju Saravanan

    Hi M. A.,
    regarding your problem please refer:
Note 667544 - Reconstruction for notifications returns no data:
    Summary
    Symptom
The reconstruction for notifications (quality/maintenance/service notifications) does not return any data for the BW extraction or in the relevant QMIS info structures. However, the relevant notifications do exist in the system.
    Other terms
    2LIS_05_Q0NOTIF, 2LIS_17_I0NOTIF, 2LIS_18_I0NOTIF, MC05Q00NTF, MC17I00NTF, MC18I00NTF, OLIQBW, OLIIBW, OLISBW, reconstruction, RMCQNEBW, RMCINEBW, RMCSNEBW.
    Reason and Prerequisites
When you used transaction SPRO to create notification types, no update group was defined for updating the statistics. The STAFO field in the TQ80 table is empty. This means 'no update' for LIS and BW.
    Solution
Use the Customizing of the notification type to create the relevant update group: Transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> ... -> Notifications -> Notification Creation -> Notification Type -> Define Notification Type
probably it will solve your problem.
if it help you please asgn points.
    thanks and regards
    Jitendra

  • Reg:Configuration&Setup guide

    Hi,
In our troupe we have implemented one Application (Java/ Oracle) for clients.
And we need to prepare configuration/setup guide for this application
So What information i need to mention in that guide.
could you please help me in this..

    Rajakumar,
There are almost an infinite number of ways to configure IM, depending on the business processes your client intends to implement.
Start with SAP Best practices config guide for [Materials Management|http://help.sap.com/bp_bl603/BBLibrary/Documentation/104_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_IN.doc].

  • Reg ADS setup

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement of setting up ADS in our landscape.Iam a Basis Consultant..For that I have dowloaded the master guide from SDN.. SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe..Adobe Document Services..For SAP NetWeaver 7.0...(Support Package SPS 13) and In that note I found that ADS can be configured using (correct me if I am wrong)
    1) SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio in the Web Dynpro section
    2) ABAP Workbench in the Form Builder section (transaction SFP)
could you pls basically explain what is the difference between configuring ADS with 1 and 2..will there be any difference in configuration from Basis using webdynpro and ABAP workbench
From Basis configuration what I could see is that creating RFC's, from both ABAP and Java and activating SICF services and testing...etc would be enough for ADS configuration
Pls let me know if there is any other extra configuration other that this
    appreciate your help
    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi
I am not a basis consultant. But these were some (most) of the basis tasks that were listed when we deployed adobe forms. Hope this helps you-
Server Side: Adobe document services component (Configuration for web service, credentials, and certificates will follow). IWe had the Portals, Web Dynpro runtime on the same J2EE engine, so we included Adobe service on the same engine as well
Developer Machines: Live Cycle Designer (It comes with standard SAP GUI Installation, like as Bex installation). [Available on servicemarket place]
SFP is the transaction that your developer will use to create the forms.
    Cheers, Liz

  • Reg: special setup for plant

    hi Guru,
i would like to know the special set up for plant.
what are the things has to be made for this.
    please give me the details.
    thanks.
    siva

    Dear,
How to Configure a New Plant in SAP?
Plant 0001 is the SAP default provide for your reference.
OX14 - Define Valuation Area (Tick one only- Once your system go live, no more changes)
Most company take the SAP recommended choice - Value Material Stock at Plant level
Value Material Stock at Plant or Company Level
If you valuate material stocks at plant level, the plant is the valuation area.
If you valuate material stocks at company code level, the company code is the valuation area.
The decision you make applies to the whole client.
    OX10 - Create / Change / View Plants
OVXB - Create / Change / View Division
OX18 - Assign Plant to company code
    e.g. 0001 - 0001 - All Plants
    Px1 - Plant Px1
    Px2 - Plant Px2
OX19 - Assignment of company code to the Controlling Area
OB38 - Assign company code to Credit Control Area
OMJ7 - Assign business area to Plant/Valuation area and division
    e.g. Plant Px1 - Business Area Bx1
    Bx2
Assign Valuation area to the Business Area
    .e.g. Valuation area Vx1 - Business Area Bx1
    Business Area Bx2
OMS0 - Assign Factory Calendar to the Plant and Business Area
The plant plays an important role in the following areas:
Material Valuation - If the valuation level is the plant, the material stocks are valuated at plant level. Each plant can have its own material prices and account determination.
Inventory Management - The material stocks are managed within a plant.
MRP - Material requirements are planned for each plant. Each plant has its own MRP data. Analyses for materials planning can be made across plants.
Production - Each plant having they own production/planning.
Costing - In costing, valuation prices are defined only within a plant.
Plant Maintenance - If a plant performs plant maintenance planning tasks, it is defined as a maintenance planning plant. A maintenance planning plant can also carry out planning tasks for other plants (maintenance plants).
If you want to use the application PP (production planning) or product costing and job-order costing, you must set valuation at plant level.
The valuation level that you choose affects
the maintenance of material master records
the G/L accounts in which material stocks are managed
the G/L accounts to which transactions are posted in Materials Management
Effect on the maintenance of material master records:
Depending on the valuation level chosen,
you maintain accounting data in the material master record for each plant or for each company code
you define a valuation price for the material in each plant or in each company code
    Effect on G/L accounts:
If material stocks are valuated at company code level, all plant stocks of a material are managed in a joint stock account for each company code.
If material stocks are valuated at plant level, you can manage the material stocks for each plant in different accounts. For each plant, you can define a separate determination.
If several plants are to use account determination, you can group these plants in "Valuation and Account Assignment" Customizing.
For step by step with screenshots have a look at:

I have just experienced this issue while patching Solaris 10 on a V240 system using Live Upgrade.
The issue was resolved by performing a failsafe boot from the console ("boot -F failsafe"), splitting the (new/alt) root mirror, mounting the primary half, performing fsck several times (as filesystem issues were apparrent), then mounting the slice and installing the new bootblock using the version of installboot from the new root and rebuilding the boot archive manually:
    # mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s4 /a
    #  /a/usr/sbin/installboot /a/usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s4
    # bootadm update-archive -R /aI note that the OpenSolaris bug linked to above lists four criteria for reproducing this problem:
    1. Install u6 ( SUNWCreq ( no mkisofs so we build ufs boot archive )
    2. Limit /tmp to 512M ( so forcing the ufs build to happen in /var/run
    3. Have seperate /var ( bootadm.c only lofs nosub mounts / when creating the alt root for DAP patching build of boot archive )
    4. Install 139555-08
The system I was patching met the last three of these, but not the first one (pkginfo does not show SUNWCreq as being installed). However, this was not an OpenSolaris system, which may make a difference.

  • Reg: Mobile application development setup

    Hi,
I am new to the SAP NetWeaver platform. We are working on SAP NW - MI application development. For this, I am trying to prepare Development setup.
On Windows 2003 machine, I installed Java EE ServerDB2NWDS (provided in SAP TechEd DVD)
Above this, I am trying to install MDK 2.5 (downlaoded from SDN site).
    Here comes the problem.
I just unzipped the MDK2.5.zip and placed the "features" and "plugins" in the NWDS's eclipse setup folder. When I try to configure MDK, it asks for a "MI Home folder" path.
To which it says, we will be providing it while installing "Mobile Infrastructure". I don't know what this is ?
Is Java EE ServerDB2NWDS+MDK2.5 not sufficient for developing Mobile applications?
Do we have to install any "Mobile Infrastructure" ? Where is it available ?
What more do we need to install to develop mobile applications ?
Please help me....I am confused.....Also any link with the information related to Mobile application development installations and configurations would be of great help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Amar

    Hi Amar
    > Do we have to install any "Mobile Infrastructure" ? Where is it available ?
Yes, you have to install the MI client and map the installation folder SAP Mobile Infrastructure to the "MI Home folder" path.
You will find the client installation in sap marketplace for SP16 the file name is NWMCLIENT16_0-10002889.sca

  • Reg: Third Party Flow Setup

    Hi Guru,
i need Customizing and flow of Transaction for the Third Party setup Document. please provide the valid information on this.
    Thanks
    BR
    Siva

    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
The processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally, can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing
If a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
You process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Goods receipt will be posted when ever the vendor ships the goods to our customer.
We will do this transaction in SAP using MIGO.
Invoice receipt is done when the Vendor sends us the invoice.. ( I.e Billing ).
It can be done using MIRO.
THe above two steps are standard and manual. There are many other ways that the actual process can happen. If the client follows EDI standards then the Goods receipt and Invoice receipt can be done through IDOCs automatically.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.

Third party order processing is as follows:
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
When ever X gets a PO from Y to supply some goods, X has an option of either manufacturing those goods or procuring those goods.
If he is procuring the goods, there are two methods that are generally followed:
Method 1) After receiving the PO from Y, X creates a sales order against Y.
Now at the same time he also creates a PO to a vendor Z to produce the goods
Z produces the goods and supplies to X
X receives the goods from Z
Then X delivers the same goods to Y.
    After that X invoices Y and Z invoices X.
Note : Here there is no direct/ Indirect relation between Z and Y.
This process is known as Trading Process. and the Material here is created with Material type HAWA.
The other method is a Third party order processing method:
Here the glaring difference is that instead of Z supplying the material to X and X in turn supplying the same material to Y.
X authorizes Z to supply the material to Y on his behalf and notify him once the delivery is complete.
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted then only X can create an invoice for Y.
This is the business flow that is followed for third party order configuration.
There are few steps that have to be configured to enable the system to function as mentioned above.
    Step1)
If you are always following a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS.
The procurement type should be marked as External procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
if you are not always allowing third party order processing then u can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as ( X) meaning both types of procurement ( in house manufacturing and external procurement).
    Step 2)
the item category in the order should be manually changed as TAS.
For that you need to configure the item category determination
Order type + item cat Group + Usage + High level = Item cat + Manual item cat
    OR + NORM + + = TAN + TAS
    OR + BANS + + = TAS
    Step 3)
make sure that during the item category configuration for TAS you need to mark relevant for billing indicator as F
    step 4)
The schedule line category for this type should be CS.
make sure that you mark subsequent type as NB - purchase requisition in this schedule line category as this will trigger the purchase requisition order immediately after the creation of the sales order and the PO to vendor is created against this purchase requisition.

  • Reg : Setup alerts for Concurrent Programs

    Hi,
We are using OEM 10g gridcontrol for monitoring.
i am new to OEM, now i have a task to set up alerts for concurrent programs(which are running more than 30mins).
can any one provide step by step process to setup alerts.
    Thanks,

I believe the "Concurrent Manager" is a product supported in the "E-Business" forum.
Can a moderator move the question there? (with other questions on this product)
I assume this is not related the Java's concurrency library.

  • Reg. setup tables

    hi
    greetings.
when setup tables will be deleted and when it will be filled.

    Hi,
You have to fill the setup tables to do the delta init. After the first load from the setup tables all the data will be loaded from the delta queue. But if you have problems and lose some data you will have to delete the setup tables and fill again.
    I hope it helps.

    Hi,
Better to checkw with your network team for desk top mai server,  why because we need few autoorization for configuration.
Follow below steps for mail configuration.
    1. First we need to configure basis level setp like SMTP, POP3 through Tcode SCOT then
    2. Take URL for SMTP & POP3 from your network team & basis team
    3. Follow below links for scenario configuration

Above is the info found by my antivirus program yesterday (10/15/13)
I quarantined this and then removed the entire program from my system.
I still need a Reader program and am very concerned about using Adobe now.

Adobe Reader (or any other Adobe software) does not contain malware.
Make sure you download Adobe software only from the adobe.com website.  For Adobe Reader go to http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • My published setup.exe is detecting old UNINSTALLED version of my app and refuses to install (even after Reg sweep).

    (question moved.)

    (question moved.)
I would suspect your MSI is not removing previous versions of your app prior to installing the current version of your app because it wasn't created properly. I use Install Shield limited edition to create MSI's. However I've not tried using it to remove
previously installed revs of the same app if one exists. And even then if the previously installed app had some sort of files you didn't want removed that would have to be considered somehow in case the new rev needed to keep those files for some reason.
Unless you created your own installation .exe which can be done. Then the code in it is not working to do that.
