Reg: MessageBox in French locale

A form has been designed in french version.
The message box using the following syntax produces a dialog box with "Yes" and "No" options in English (as shown in figure)
xfa.host.messageBox("Some French Text","Message Title",2,2)
We need the buttons should display french captions as "Oui" and "Non". Any idea how to do that without creating custom dialog?
PS: The form's locale is set to French_Canada but still shows English captions;
Thanks for any advise,
Nith

        dialog.load(dlgInit);
    commit: function(dialog)
        var oRslt = dialog.store();

                                height: 64,
                                alignment: "align_fill",
                                font: "dialog",
                        type: "ok_cancel",
                        ok_name: "Oui",
                        cancel_name: "Non",
// Example Code
if("ok" == CustomAlert.DoDialog())
xfa.host.messageBox("Oui is used")
}else {
xfa.host.messageBox("Non is used")

  • Finder window's "Network" icon has a name bug in French localized version

    In Mac OS X Tiger (and previous versions already), when running in French localized, the "Network" icon on the left side of Finder window is translated "Réseau". This is correct.
    When no network is available (no cable connected to the Ethernet port for instance), then "Réseau" turns into the english name "Network". When the network is again connected, then "Network" turns back into the French localized name "Réseau".

  • French locales on mounted usb

    I use french locales (fr_CA-iso9985-15) and I have no problem, but when KDE automounts my USB keys. It seems then that it ignores my locales  and the display is awful (no accents at all, but %?%"!@ instaed!). Any idea please?

    Yeah. I've installed SP1, and the USB 2.0 drivers. Personally, I don't care too much if I'm using USB 1 or 2.0 as long as it works. I'm only using my USB for a couple game controllers, so bandwidth isn't important (but having them front-mounted is).
    I'm not sure which USB port doesn't work with Bluetooth, and a forum search didn't enlighten me.... so I'm not sure how to answer that.
    Here's some theories I came up with:
    1. Perhaps some Windows configuration error is preventing it from talking to that particular USB port (anyone know of some free diagnostic software that could test this? -- perhaps by talking to the USB device in DOS mode or from a bootable Linux CD or something?)
    2. Perhaps there is a wiring problem on the motherboard which is leaving one of the pins disconnected from that port.
    3. Maybe there's something special that I need to do with pin 10 that I don't know about.
    4. Perhaps the motherboard's USB controller is defective in a way that only one of the USB ports isn't working (I don't know how to test this).
    BTW, thanks for taking the time to respond

  • Checkbox shows as Rhombus/Diamond under french locale (.xlf file)

    1) I have copied Wingdng2.ttf file to $BIHome/jdk/jre/lib/fonts/ folder.
    2) I have created xdo.cfg file and configured to use Wingdings 2;82;163 for checkbox display.

    Problem: The checkbox displays fine under English locale, however it is displayed as Rhombus/Diamond under French locale (when .xlf file is used). I am using BIP 10.1.3.4.2.
    Does anyone know how to fix this issue? It looks like the translation of checkbox from english to french is messed up.

    Hi Armin,
    You could be seeing this behavior due to this bug;

    Symptom:
    Unity connection 8.5.1 installed with locales may experience the following issues
    1.When users try to leave message ,they get the fail safe message
    2.Sometimes they are able to leave message , message doesnt get delivered and no MWI
    Conditions:
    When Locale version ES 24 is installed on UC 8.5(1) [ ES 16] or less
    Workaround:
    please downgrade the locale version to ES 16  if you have 8.5(1)SU1 or use US English language.
    Though the Release notes of 8.5(1)
    http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074314/49311/851su1cucrm.pdf
    clearly  mentions about the compatibility , Many customers think its good for  them to install the latest locale ES and hence end with this condition.
    This is the compatibility matrix for locales

  • French Locale for 8.5.1.12900-7

    Team,
    We have CUCM 8.5.1.12900-7 Unrestricted and recently we have added a site in AIX France in to our cluster located at Leeds. With reference to that we need to install User and Network French Locale in to our cluster. While checking in Cisco Product download section for 8.5.1, I do not see 8.5.1.12900-7 but I see only 8.5.1.2100-1. How to Install French Locale for 8.5.1.12900-7 in to our CUCM cluster. We are also running  UCCX 8.5.1.11003-32 in our cluster. Do I need to install French locale in to UCCX Server as well? Please share your thoughts.
    Solomon.

    Thank you Chris. Infact cm-locale-fr_FR-8.5.1.2100-1.cop worked for our CUCM 8.5.1.12900-7. I am able to Install that locale in to our CUCM. So this locale will takes care of both User and Network French locales in my CUCM right???
    Another question is, We also run Contact Center in our cluster. Currently we are running with 8.5.1.11003-32. Do I need to install locale even in UCCX as well for French Contact Center users.
    Solomon.

  • URLScraper and French Locale

    I'm trying to set up a multilingual portal at the company (fr & en more may follow). I can't figure out how the URLscraper would handle french. I noticed that there is a separate .properties file for french titles, etc. but how can the scraper sling french content rather than english content to the user based on language preference?
    Do we have to:
    1. create a separate role and/or scraper for french and english?
    2. Make sure the content is bilingual?
    3. Scrape a custom JSP provider that reads the local attribute and serves content in the appropriate language?
    4. Other?
    Your input would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Cheers,
    -Dug

    The problem is portal does not support localization per channel, hence there is really no configuration you can do to acheive that. Looking at the options you have listed.
    1.) This is possible if the user would always see content only for his local if that is the case then you can create seperate channels for your locales then put users in seperate roles based on the locales serve appropriate content.
    3.) you can write a jsp to scrape the content yourself. THe jsp can display the content based on the local selected for the user. This is the most general option of the 3 and probably the most flexible for you ..

  • French locale is set but OS is English

    Hi,
    I have a very strange situation.
    I installed the Solaris 10 on SPARC using the JumpStart Server and then I have created image.
    In the host_class configuration file I included the French and others locale:
    e.g:
    locale fr_CA
    locale fr_CA.ISO8859-1
    locale fr_FR.ISO8859-1
    locale fr_FR.UTF-8
    locale fr_FR
    But when I am logging to the system the Solaris is English (almost everything)
    In /etc/default/init file thre are entries:
    TZ=Japan
    CMASK=022
    LANG=fr_FR.ISO8859-1
    [root@sun1 /]# locale
    LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8
    LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8
    LC_NUMERIC=fr_FR.UTF-8
    LC_TIME=fr_FR.UTF-8
    LC_COLLATE=fr_FR.UTF-8
    LC_MONETARY=fr_FR.UTF-8
    LC_MESSAGES=fr.UTF-8
    LC_ALL=
    [root@sun1 /]# date

    What might be the problem?
    Kind regards,
    Daniel Dragan

    Problem solved.
    I've installed all French language packages which were listed in the documentation.
    One thing I do not understand, why all necessary French packages didn't installed during JumpStart installation.

    Hi,

    Can you help me?
    Here are the installed versions:
    CUCM version : 9.1.1.20000-5
    CUCM Locale : cm-locale-fr_FR-9.1.1.1000-1.cop
    Firmware : sip8831.9-3-3-5
    Thanks a lot,
    Best regards,
    Christian.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your answer.
    I answered yes to every question, but unfortunately the phones remain in English.
    Is there extra parameters different from other phones that I missed, or do those new conf phones have no extra language despite the documentation?....
    Thanks !

  • Problems with FacesMessage and French locale

    Some messages that I have translated in French are not substituting the {0} with the message. I am definitely passing in a value (in this case "521-009") but it is not being substituted. The locale message is
    Le sujet a été soigneusement sélectionné et s'est vu allouer un numéro de sujet de {0}. Un email vous a été transmis confirmant ces informations
    Anyone else had this problem or have any ideas why it's happening ?
    Cheers,
    Brent

    Hi Frank,
    The message is being displayed within an af:messages component, manually added in by calling "JsfUtils.getInstance().addMessage" however, in trying to debug where the problem was I used the following code
    MessageFactory messageFactory = JsfUtils.getInstance().getMessageFactory();
    FacesMessage message = messageFactory.getMessage("VISIT1_MSG", null);
    String summary = message.getSummary();
    MessageFormat formatter = new MessageFormat(summary, JsfUtils.getInstance().getLocale());
    Object messageArgs[] = {subjectId};
    System.out.println(formatter.format(messageArgs));
    And the result of formatter.format(messageArgs) is the same - the {0} is not being substituted (note my browser locale is set to "fr")

  • Different spreadsheet output on French locale

    Hi guys,
    So I moved some VIs over to another laptop. The laptop language is set to French. Now, my output is different. I changed my laptop language to English, in hopes of having it work properly again. No luck.
    Look at the screenshot below:
    It is supposed to separate into different columns at those commas.
    But in French, a comma is equivalent to the English decimal.
    Anybody know how to fix?? Changing to English Operating System does not work.
    I attatched VI below.

    Well, in countries with comma as decimal seperator, a comma will not work as field separator. There is no good standard, but as Matt said, using a semicolon as field delimiter sometimes works. (see also this disucssion)
    Instead of using csv files, I would recommend to use the default tab delimiter and save the file as *.txt. Excel will have no problem opening it.

  • Reg Recon Account and local balances in creating account

    Hi all can anybody help me...i am getting the following error when i am creating the GL ac for Vendor Recon ac,(only balance in local currency is selected) ...."Balances for reconciliation accounts only in local currency not defined" Message No fh061, however when i deselect the 'only balance in local currency' system is allowing me to save. should we not select 'only balance in local currency for recon accounts?'
    Are all the balance sheet accounts should be maintained in Local Currency? if so in above why system is restricting me.
    Detail explanation is well appreciated.
    Thanks

    F1 Help
    Indicator: Only Manage Balances in Local Currency
    Indicates that balances are updated only in local currency when users post items to this account.
    Use
    You would set this indicator for accounts in which you do not want the system to update transaction figures separately by currency.
    Setting this indicator for accounts managed on an open item basis affects the clearing procedures. See the example below.
    Procedure
    Set the indicator in cash discount clearing accounts and GR/IR clearing accounts. It cannot be set in reconciliation accounts for customers or vendors. Setting it in all other instances is optional.
    It is usually set for particular balance sheet accounts including:
    Accounts which are not managed on an open item basis and not kept in foreign currencies.
    Accounts which are managed on an open item basis and have the same types of items posted in different currencies, but always allow clearing to be made if the local currency amounts correspond.
    Examples
    You set up a clearing account for goods receipts and invoice receipts and manually post these items to it. You post invoice receipts in the invoice currency and goods receipts always in the local currency.
    Invoice receipt            1000 DEM       600 USD
    Goods receipt                              600 USD
    Both items can be cleared if the clearing account balances are recorded in local currency only. If you have not set the indicator for this account, the system will translate DEM to USD during the clearing procedure in order to determine the amount in USD required to clear 1000 DEM. If the translation rate is .65 USD per DEM, then the system displays 650 USD for the invoice receipt and 600 USD for the goods receipt when the open items are processed.
    This means that to clear both of these items, you will also have to enter a difference posting for 50 USD, and the system will automatically make an additional exchange rate difference posting for this amount.
    Makes Business sense as the customer an vendor accounts will have itmes with various currencies posted to it

  • French quotation marks

    I'm trying to use Pages '08 in my French classes. I actually find it quite complete: the proofreader is particularly nice.
    One must-have feature is the use of French-style quotation marks. Called "guillmets", they look like pairs of less than signs and greater than signs. When running in a French locale, I still get American style quotations. Anyone know how to use the << and >> style?
    LC

    Funnily (or tragically) enough it seems like Pages does not support les guillemets natively. It does support German Anführungszeichen though, so they should be aware that there is a difference.
