Hi,
How can we create a data source on structures.
Regs,
abdul

Abdul,
Welcome to SDN!
We can't create Datasource using Strcutres. We need to have base tables.
For Function Module Extractors, we will create strctures. We will use these strctures as Extract Structures. But, we will get the data from Base tables only not from Strcutures.
Strctures won't contain data.
all the best.

• Synchronous JDBC structure

Hi all,
I have a scenario involving SOAP and JDBC with synchronous calls.
I have created the source structures with request and response and have no doubt about it.
The doubt is on the target side (JDBC),
Have a structure as,
Name, EmpID and location. Usually the structure for async JDBC goes as,
Project
-> Statementname
-->Storedprocedurename
-->Action
-->Table
-->Name
-->isInput
-->type
-->EmpID
-->isInput
-->type
-->Location
-->isInput
-->type
The response required for this structure would be the Emp ID field. Actually, the source data will send data for Name and Location fields leaving the Emp ID field empty. After it reaches the DB, an Emp ID is generated by the Stored procedure and all the 3 fields is given back as the response with data.
Do i have to create 2 different JDBC structures, one for request and one for response and to enter isOutput attribute in the response structure or is one structure enough and i create the isInput attributes and the isOutput attributes in the same structure.
Help me out guys !

You need seperate structure for response.

• Workshop source directory structure

Hi,
I am new at Workshop and would like to know the convention for organizing the
workshop source directory structure. Currently, Workshop seems to have both source
and generated files such as class/jar/ear under the same application/project folder.
Is there way to config Workshop to organize the generated files in a separate
custom specified location outside the application/project folder? The reason
is I would like to easily to check all src files into the repositiory (we are
using CVS) and left out the generated files (class, jar, ear, ...)
Regards,
Bao Nguyen

Bao,
The class files are generated under the .workshop directory under the
application folder. The generated jar file will be placed under the APP-Inf
lib folder.
No new jar/.class files will be copied into the individual project files as
part of the build process. The files are copied into the .workshop folder
and the app-inf/lib folder.
Do you notice a different behavior or do you have different requirements ?

• How to force Jdeveloper to preserve existing sources directory structure?

Hi all,
I have JDeveloper 9.0.3.4 which I have to use.
I tried to import to project from existing sources and I tried to keep existing sources
directory structure by selection option "Scan source paths to determine project contents" which should (according to documentation) preserve existing directory structure and show it in the Navigator.
But instead I get always (Jdev default?) directory structure:
Sources
HTML Sources
Miscelaneous Files
I changed default settings for Input path in project settings and for default project settings but still I get this Jdev structure.
Is there a way to force JDeveloper to preserve the directory structure of sources it imports from?
Many thanks,
Mile

I'd like to be able to specify the default project directory structure in 10g as well. For example I would like to have under the project root:
build.xml
src\
generatedsrc\
config\
resources\
build\
deploy\
Generating an ant build.xml using the wizard should also take into account the directory structure being used by the JDeveloper project build. I don't see why I should have to modify the build.xml file at all.

[Organizational Structure creation using HRMD_ABA;
Appologies if you saw this message on Friday, because I did originally post it under the general area. I was hoping that if I re-posted it under this area I might get a few more responses. I have included the one response I got, plus my reponse, which does contain more detail about how I ran PFAL - program RHALEINI, and re poses the question about what needs to be created in SRM re an organisational structure, prior to doing an initial load using transaction PFAL.
Many Thanks
Claire
I am trying to set up the organizational structure in our SRM 7.0 system using our ECC 6 organizational structure. I have created all the required distribution models for SRM and ECC 6, and have set up the switch settings in SRM. The number range settings have been set to external.
As per OSS Note 36317, which concentrates on the initial distribution, and I am working through, I have run PFAL in ECC 6 only for object type O. The HRMD_ABA idocs have been successfully transferred to our SRM system, but all are at status 52.
The message for all the idoc segments is:
'You tried to create a relationship from object 01O 50000333 to object 01S 50000846. However, object 01S 50000846 does not exist or is not active in the period from 19000101 to 99991231'.
One thing I haven't done, which might be incorrect, is create an Organizational Plan in SRM. I specifically haven't done this because I am wanting to use external numbering, and therefore thought the organizational plan would get automatically created as part of the initial distribution.
Does any one have any idea how to resolve my problem?
Many Thanks

Hello Claire,
It looks like you are replicating "S". After the "O" replication you should run the "S".
Please refer to the OSS note 934372 u201CSRM/CRM: HR integration for business partner u2013 new featuresu201D & SAP Note # 550055 EBP/SRM: New integration for business partner as well.

Hi Ashutosh
I intend to replicate 'S', as described in the note, but nothing has been created with my initial replication of 'O'. As per the note 363187 you are supposed to distribute type 'O' first before moving on to 'S'. Is there anything really fundamental I have missed that you are supposed to do in SRM either before or after the initial set of idocs for type 'O' are brought in?
I have also read the other 2 notes you mention.
Note 363187 stated:
'Perform the following steps in the sequence given if the target system is a
mySAP.com system (SEM, CRM, BBP/EBP):
1. If you want to use the change pointers for later changes, activate
them at once. During initial transport, you should not maintain the
data in parallel in HR because the distribution takes the blocking
mechanism into account, which can cause an incomplete initial
transport.
2. All objects of object type O are distributed with program RHALEINI. As
a transfer mode, the update mode with infotype 1000 selection should
be used.
This way you make sure that all objects of object type O are created
in the target system for existence checks.
3. As previous step but for object type C.
4. As previous step but for object type S.
So far all I have tried to do is up to step 2.
When running RHALEINI I have entered the following:
Objects - Object Type = 'O'
Reporting Period - Today is selected
Transfer Mode - Insert is selected, with the Update Mode infotype set to 1000
I did think making a setting under the Update Mode Infotype seemed a little odd, as I was doing an insert, but is this not what point 2 from the OSS Note is telling me to do?
Any thoughts would be really helpful.
Am I supposed to create a skeleton Org structure before pulling in the ECC 6 structure when I am using external numbering?
Thanks

• Dynamic Implicit Structure Creation Question

Hello,
I was curious if it was possible to dynamically create an implicit structure where you might occasionally want to omit some keys from being added to the structure?
I played around with using ternary operators in the structure creation with no luck.
<cfset temp = {
name = "Dave",
(1 IS 1 ? "" : Job  =  "Superhero")
} />
The only way I can see doing this now would be to create the structure and then use StructKeyDelete on the keys I want to remove OR build structures the traditional way and cfif my way around the keys I don't want to add."
Ex: <cfset structKeyDelete(temp,"Job") />
or
<cfset temp = structNew() />
<cfset temp.name = "Dave" />
<cfif 1 NEQ 1>
<cfset temp.job = "Superhero" />
</cfif>
Does anyone know how to create dynamic keys in a structure while defining it implicitly?
Thanks!

I can think of at least one reason why this fails. If there is just one key-value pair, there will be a comma stranded at the end.
You can of course tinker dynamically with the content of the keys of a struct and their respective values. However, a struct is an object, with set characteristics such as number of key-value pairs. So, it would be difficult to dynamically change the number of key-value pairs 'from within' the struct. Even if what you are trying to do were possible, it would be more complex, and would certainly involve more code, than the ordinary alternative you mention.
In any case, here is a version of your original idea that works:
<cfset temp = (1 IS 2 ? {name="Dave"} : {name="Dave",Job="Superhero"})>
<cfdump var="#temp#">

Hi Narayana,
A list of available sources of supply for a material, indicating the periods during which procurement from such sources is possible.
Every source of supply is stored in a source list record, together with its validity period.
The source list record uniquely identifies the source of supply, that is, in the SAP system, a vendor, an internal plant, or an outline agreement item, and facilitates determination of the applicable source for a purchase requisition at a certain time.

hi,
In this IMG activity, you define the source structures used when settling and costing joint products.
A source structure contains several source assignments, each of which contains the individual cost elements or cost element intervals to be settled using the same distribution rules

• Source file structure when importing a qualified table

Hello MDM:ers
I need to import a qualified table into the following repository
(it is simplified to illustrate the problem):
Main table: Products
Fields: ID (int), Name (Text), Part number (Qualified)
Qualified Table: Part Numbers
Fields: Manufacturer (Lookup), Part Number (Text)
Lookup table: Manufacturers
Fields: Name (Text)
The source file is a very large text file that has the following structure:
Part ID Name Part no. Manuf 1 Part no. Manuf2
123          Nut     ABC               XYZ
456          Bolt     DEF               QWV
The result I’m looking for Is to map a file structured a above so that two main table records are created (Nut and Bolt) which both have two qualified table records for each manufacturer. I have not been able to create such a map. I have tried to partitioning and combining fields without success.
I have no problem creating the map if I manually restructure the file to look like:
Part ID Name Manufacturer Part Number
123          Nut     Manufacturer 1          ABC
123          Nut     Manufacturer 2          XYZ
456          Bolt     Manufacturer 1          DEF
456          Bolt     Manufacturer 2          QWV
It where a way to import the file directly in MDM without restructuring it?

Hi Alexander,
MDIS will not work fine if you have multiple tables as the mapping is saved only for 1 table. If you have multiple tables then after performing the process of Pivoting/Reverse pivoting, you will have to use joins.
Join the other tables as Lookup in the Main Table
Save all your configuration in a map. And then configure the map in the port.
It should then work with the MDIS also.
hope it helps.

• JDBC Datasource creation via ANT doesn't expose the JNDI name

I'm using the wlconfig ANT task to create a Datasource (& JDBC connectionpool) on the weblogic server. The datasource is created fine, and I can test it using the console.
The problem is that the provided JNDI name isn't exposed in the JNDI tree. This seems to be related to the fact that the following element is generated in the config/jdbc/CP-PoolName-2164-jdbc.xml
<jdbc-data-source>
<name>PoolName</name>
<internal-properties>
*<property>*
*<name>LegacyType</name>*
*<value>1</value>*
*</property>*
When removing the LegacyType 1 property from the JDBC config xml, the JNDI name is exposed fine.
I've used the instructions located at [http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs100/programming/ant_tasks.html] where an example of a JDBCConnectionPool creation is provided.
The 10.3 documentation doesn't include the example anymore, but I'm having the problem both on BEA Weblogic 10.0 and Oracle Weblogic 10.3
<wlconfig url="t3://localhost:7001" username="weblogic" password="weblogic">
bq. <query domain="base_domain" type="Server" name="AdminServer" property="adminserver"/>
bq. <create type="JDBCConnectionPool" name="MediumSecureOnlineNode1Pool" property="customPool1">
bq. bq. <set attribute="CapacityIncrement" value="1"/> \\ <set attribute="DriverName" value="oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver"/> \\ <set attribute="InitialCapacity" value="1"/> \\ <set attribute="MaxCapacity" value="10"/> \\ <set attribute="Password" value="pass"/> \\ <set attribute="Properties" value="user=username"/> \\ <set attribute="RefreshMinutes" value="0"/> \\ <set attribute="ShrinkPeriodMinutes" value="15"/> \\ <set attribute="ShrinkingEnabled" value="true"/> \\ <set attribute="TestConnectionsOnCreate" value="true"/> \\ <set attribute="TestConnectionsOnRelease" value="true"/> \\ <set attribute="TestConnectionsOnReserve" value="true"/> \\ <set attribute="TestTableName" value="SQL SELECT 1 FROM DUAL"/> \\ <set attribute="URL" value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521"/> \\ <set attribute="Targets" value="${adminserver}"/>
</create>
As we would like to automate the process of configuring our weblogic instances using ANT, is there a way to create JDBC datasources that don't have the LegacyType 1 element included in the config ?

Curious if you were ever able to find a resolution to this issue?
I am facing the same thing now with our Ant scripts and WL10.3 connection pools/datasources.
I would like to either specify a different LegacyType or suppress it altogether. Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Steve
