Regarding the Aggregation in  Query

hi,
Is anybody have idea how I can show only the overall result of the query output in the excel .
Is there any way out such that we can publish only the overall result in the portal instead all the contents of the query output of EXcel.

Have you tried putting all your characteristics as free characteristics (remove all characteristics from the rows area and out them in the free characteristics area)

    I am facing an issue here,in Answers I am dragging few measures from single fact and some dimension cols but the thing is 2 queries are being generated by BI Server and later there is an Inner join happening....I dont want this to happen...I want it as a single query so that all the data would be retained....Thanks in advance

    you must clear some things by reading....
    **can we have a fact (single logical source table) joined to a dimension at different levels like day and month
    you must join to the lowest level in order to be able to take all the possible values....(according you said that you have only 1 Datasource)
    Is there a meaning of joing both??for what???
    I suspect that you mean that in some cases the query must go in level of day and in others in level of month..
    For this you must assign to the logical fact the appropriate 'Datasources',simpe tables which in
    1.have the values in day level
    2.have the values in month level
    These tables Bi called(and generally) aggregate one..
    Then you have to set in each Datasource the appropriate level .....
    If you use (not recommended from me) , the aggregation wizard ..will show you how....

  • Query regarding the conversion of DME file in MT940 format.

    Hello Experts,
    I have a query regarding the generation of MT940 file after generating the payment file from other DME tree.
    After completion of payment run, my payment file is generated in the DME format which is according to the DME tree.
    I want to convert the DME file (which is generated via F110)  from existing format to the standard MT940 format.
    Is there any standard program which converts the DME file to MT940. If so,  please inform me as early.
    I have tried to upload the DME file in FF.5 transaction, but it is not allowing me to convert the file in MT940 structure.
    Or please inform the steps how i can convert the file .

    if i have 2 table with a same column name then in the datatype under parent row node i cant add 2 nodes with the same name.

    One option would be to go as mentioned by Padamja , prefxing the table name to the column name or another would be to use the AS keyoword in your SQL statement.
    AS is used to rename the column name when data is being selected from your DB.
    So, the query  Select ename as empname from emptable will return the data with column name as empname.

                  I have one query regarding the fields details in particular form for all the users in company.
    Let take an exapmle if i had created Purchase Order having fields in content tab as 1.Item No. 2.Quantity 3.Unit Proce   4.Total   5. Location.
    While Login in User manager i set these fields only for Purchase order , but when i login from other user and open the similar purchase order the defaults fields are also seen including  above 4 fieds .
    Now my question is how to set the User choice fiels for the particular form that are common to all users.
    Means whenever i login in any user and opens the same document the same fields should be seen....Thanksssss.........

    You have to login with each and every user and do the Form Settings of every forms, so that all the forms look same for all the users.
    This is a manual job and you have do do it with every user login.

    Query regarding the Node manager configuration(WLS and OAM Managed server):
    1) In the nodemanager.properties I have added the ListenAddress:myMachineName and ListenPort: 5556
    My setup : One physical Linux machine(myMachineName) has : WLS admin server, managed server(OAM 11G) and nodemanager.No clustered environment.
    2) nodemanager.log has the following exception when I start the oam_server1 using EM(Enterprise Manager11g):

    4) The admin server port is 7001 and the oam managed server port is 14100.
    Any inputs on what might be wrong in the setup will be helpful.Thanks !

    By using netstat -anp|grep 5556 you can check which process on your machine is using the 5556 port.

  • Want to see constant value of CPU not the aggregated one from the cube?

    Hi All,
    When I see my layout with fiscyear ,it shows the aggregated values for Quantity,Cost Per Unit,0Amount,which is distributed across period.
    For example if one WBS and one uear(2008) -0Quantity(12),CPU(100) to four periods of one fiscyear.The distribution would be as shown below:- 
    Period       0Quantity      CPU            0Amount
    003.2008         3               100              300
    004.2008         3               100              300
    005.2008         3               100              300
    0006.2008       3               100              300
    Total               12               400            1200
    So in my layout I'll be able to see :-
    fiscyear        0Quantity           CPU         0Amount.
    2008                12                  400            1200
    So 12 * 400 <> 1200 which is logically incorrect.
    Is there any way by which we can get the constant or average value of CPU from the cube???
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Indu,
    If you are using Query designer for generating report, you can have this property...In the properties of CPU>Calculate result as...>Average value...
    This will give you the result as average of all the values.

  • Unauthorized User can see the aggregated result?

    Dear all,
    I got a problem that, unauthorized user can see the aggregated result.
    e.g. A user who is allowed to read data of Sales Office (0SALES_OFF) 0001 only. (It is done in the RSECADMIN already)
    Now a cube contains Sales records of Sales office 0001 & 0002 :
    Sales Office 0001  Sales Value 3000
    Sales Office 0002  Sales Value 2000
    When the user execute a query from the cube without any selection criteria, it give the aggregated Sales Value 5000.
    But if the user try to drill down for each sales office, it can then give error, because the user are not suppose to see Sales Office 0002 records.
    What I expect is an error at the very beginning when the user execute the query, saying the cube contains data that the user is not suppose to see, the user need to put in the correct Sales Office as criteria first.
    Is there anyone can help on this issue?? I have no idea how can this happened?

    Hi,
    Now I understood your concern correctly. Unfortunately, I do not have prompt answer for you. So, User should be able to view the aggregated result, but not to irrelevant sales office. If you don't have condition on Aggregated Result, restricting to individual Sales Office can be done in RSECADMIN.
    Let's wait for other's opinions.......

  • Aggregation level query "value help" = Only Values in InfoProv doesn't work

    I have a problem with Selection Variable for a BEx Query :
    - I'm working with SAP BI 7.0 support package 15
    - My query is an input ready query built for an "aggregation level" based on "real time infocube" (Planning);
    - Characteristic, I want to filter with variable, has query property Advanced->Query Execution for Filter Value Selection = Only Values in InfoProvider
    - Characteristic (info-object) has set the property: Business Explorer tab--> Query Def. Filter Value Selection as Only Values in the info-provider...
    My problem is:
    when I execute a query,
    the Select Values for Variables screen appears
    I push on the Select from List button
    and Select Values For MyCharacteristic appears...
    but it shows me all values in master data table of my characteristic instead of only values in the infoprovider!!!
    If I build a query for the Real Time Cube it works correctly, but if the query is built for the aggregation level it doesn't work!
    Could someone explain me why it doesn't work correctly?

    Regarding the query built on aggregation level please note the following
    the aggregation level is always a Virtual Provider built other
    InfoProvider and hence it does not have the dimension table and hence
    the F4 mode D is not supported.
    Therefore when aggregation level is used in a query, F4 does not supportD-mode: 'Only Values in InfoProvider' and all master data values are
    displayed in the value list.

    984229 F4 modes for input help as of SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI
    4. Since other InfoProviders do not have a dimension table, the system
    displays only posted values if you select "Only Posted Values for
    Navigation". Otherwise, it displays the values from the master data
    table.

    Hi Gurus,
    Based on aggregation ratio, we decide whether a cube require an aggregate,but what is the tcode to know the aggregation ratio? or is there any log/statistics report for that?

    If the BI statistics are activated for the corresponding query, we can execute the query from RSRT (Debug version) with the option " Display statistics data" chosen, thereby once we execute the query we get the stats details like Session UID, Step UID details etc. And in the statistics data verify the column Event ID for the following events:
    9000     Data Manager
    9010     Total DBTRANS ( Total records transfered from the database)
    9011     Total DBSEL ( Total records read at the database)
    For these events 9000,9010, 9011 verify the counter column to check for the Total DBSEL and Total DBTRANS values and event 9000 for the Duration aswell. If DBSEL by the DBTRANS ratio if greater than 10 it is generally recommended we can create aggregates on the cubes to improve the performance of the query.
    Also further detailed analysis can be done using the stats data in the tables RSDDSTAT_OLAP and RSDDSTAT_DM tables based on the Session UID, Step UID details. Hope this helps.

    I have defined a POWL query which executes properly. But if I map the same POWL query to 2 portal users and the 2 portal users try to access the same page simultaneously then it gives an error message to one of the users that
    "Query 'ABC' is already open in another session."
    where 'ABC' is the query name.
    Can you please tell me how to use the same POWL query for multiple users ?

    Batch processing usually involves using actions you have recorded.  In Action you can insert Path that can be used during processing documents.  Path have some size so you may want to only process document that have the same size.  Look in the Actions Palette fly-out menu for insert path.  It inserts|records the current document work path into the action being worked on and when the action is played it inserts the path into the document as the current work path..
