Data from check boxes fails to be collected, when sending the PDF as email
Hi
I am working on an interactive PDF that should act as an ordersheet for clients to fill out. I am using Acrobat Pro 9, and everything works as intended, but when the client tries to send the order by email (By pressing a button that uses "submit a form" as actio, where it sends the whole PDF to a single email), the pdf pops up in the email client, and everything looks fine, except all of the checkboxes. None of them have been checked, even though the client have done so. I have searched the forums without luck, so now i am trying in here.
I have made sure that the client is using the version, that has the extended reader rights.
If you feel need additional information regarding the PDF, just ask.
Thank you very much for your time.Edit>Preferences>Email accounts>List of email accounts. Click the drop-down that says "add account" and select Gmail. After adding it, you can go to the account area and change it to default.

Adobe Reader X change the PDF version after saved
Hi all,
I recently discovered a weird behavior of Adobe Reader X (free version) regarding the .PDF version document.
I scanned just before the week-end a series of documents with default 1.4 version, I checked several and all were ok, Scanner did the job well.
The only problem is that every time I opened a document and save it under a different name, or replace under the same name – Save As option (Shift+Ctrl+S); the version of the document is automatically changed from 1.4 to 1.5; This is very annoying since I do not need 1.5 document version I use only 1.4.
Is there a way to work around this? I mean the Adobe Reader X should not keep the version 1.4 and not change it to 1.5
Thanks is advance for looking into thisThere are now some answers in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/797451

Still waiting for a response from Adobe regarding the post "Printing a pdf from a marked-up pdf" dated 15 Dec 2012 9:20 AM.
Look everyone that comes here with a support problems has gone through all the normal channels, around and round in circles with no one seeming to be interested. They've called every phone number, every email address they can find. They have been put on hold and bounced fifty times to another operator only to be hung up on. If Adobe would bring back support to main land and have people that know what's going on instead of having people that people can barely understand read from scripts. Scripted information only applies about 10 % of the time. I'm just giving people an alternative. after they have torn their hair out going the normal route. If they had been able to get a solution they wouldn't be coming here for help.
There should be a forum set up just for people to air these issues and Adobe employees forced to man it. Then we wouldn't have to have such a Bad attitude. Right now Adobe's Support reputation is worse than Intuit's which did have the absolutely worse on the Planet. Now they are number 2.
You know it yourself that Adobe's support is absolutely worse than terible. However to prevent me from being banned from the forums I will simply will provide the adobecare email address from now on
So let's sweep it under the rug. -

Regarding the storing of the pdf files
hi,
The requirement is that all the pdf files that are present in the application server for the day must be saved to presentation server at the end of the day.
Thnaks in advance.In Pages you have the option to export to Pdf and can choose between good, better and best versions. Beware though it is often the images that will lose in resolution. This is what the Pages User Guide says:
If you’re exporting to PDF, you must choose an image quality (a higher image quality results in a larger PDF file):
Best: Image resolutions are not scaled down.
Better: Images are downsampled to 150 dpi. Images without transparency (alpha
channel) are JPEG-compressed by 0.7.
Good: Images are downsampled to 72 dpi. Images without transparency (alpha channel) are JPEG-compressed by 0.9. -

SaravananRe: Error in creating a PDF
-
I am creating a form on LiveCycle Designer and I am trying to create a form that has a e-mail submit button. When the button is utilized it attaches the form to the e-mail in an plain text .xml format rather than the pdf format. Is there a quick fix?
Hi,
You have the choice between xml or pdf, in later versions of designer you can choose with a dropdown on the email button Object palette, the "Submit As";
In earlier version you had to edit the XML Source and change the format from xml to pdf (or vice-versa);

While converting spool to PDF, no data is coming in the PDF file.
Hi All,
I am submitting a z program ZPR022_INNCOMETAX_REPORT_COPY1 (which has some output display) from Z_ITSLIP_MAIL. I am creating a job, submitting the above program via JOB to SAP-SPOOL.
In program ZPR022_INNCOMETAX_REPORT_COPY1 , I am getting the run time job information and from there I am getting the spool id. Now I am converting the spool id to a PDF. This PDF should contain the output of the program ZPR022_INNCOMETAX_REPORT_COPY1. This output is normal output using Write statement only. But once the program is executed, I could find no data in the PDF file. When I check in SM37 and SP02, both the JOB and the SPOOL are created. What I feel is the program is not picking the spool id at the run time. Could any one help me in this regard how to proceed.

Urgent: Issue while displaying the PDF Reports Using XDO Common region
Hi all,
In our product code we are trying to display the PDF Reports, using the xdo common region.
Previously we were writing the pdf reports direclty onto the response direclty.
This displays the report onto the browser but if navigate throw browser back button, it doesn't displays the report as the response stream is empty while navigating through back button.
So to solve this issue, i tried to write the report using the OAHTMLWebBean and xdo common region. Here is the code:
ByteArrayOutputStream xdoOutput = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
XDOUtility.retrieveReport(xdoOutput,
parameters,
prop,
appMod
BlobDomain bxdoOutput = new BlobDomain();
bxdoOutput.setBytes(xdoOutput.toByteArray());
String redirectURL = DocumentHelper.getOutputURL(pageContext,
bxdoOutput,
"Report",
"PDF");
OAHTMLWebBean outRegion = (OAHTMLWebBean)createWebBean (pageContext, OAWebBeanConstants.HTML_WEB_BEAN, null, "IFRAME");
outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("src", redirectURL);
outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("width", "100%");
outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("height", "100%");
outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("title","Report");
outRegion.setHTMLAttributeValue("name","Report");
pageContext.getPageLayoutBean().addIndexedChild(outRegion);
This successfully displays the report in the XDO Common region. But now the issue is that there are hyperlinks in the Report displayed where from where the user can navigate to other detail pages.
When we click on these links, a new session starts in the xdo common region.
Is it possible that when the user click the links in the report displayed, instead of starting a new session in the xdo region, the detail pages is displayed with in the older session.

The PDF output is not always displayed!
Hello
I'm tryin' to build some PDF outputs and I have the next problem: I have 20 reports to make it on PDF form (viewed with the Acrobat plugin from IE 5.5 or higher) and when I try to see what was builded the PDF it's not always displayed ( mean it's not readed by the plugin). I generate the PDF output from a servlet (which also set the servlet output context as 'application/pdf') and, if the output it's generated too fast (meanning the report information was too small), the Acrobat plugin doesn't catch him ! I think that I have to slow down the servlet response to allow the plugin complete loading, but I don't khow how to do this (and, ofcourse, if it's possible).
Please, I need a solution. !
Thanx!Hi,

Or check this working sample below. Hope this helps.
