^ Here, it says that it should arrive by 6:00pm today. But it is now 6:30pm as I am typing this in Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8) and it still didn't arrive. What timezone does the tracking page go by?

Mine's in Mississauga too, I'm in Toronto.
You think it's bad they're telling you it's going to take 6 days to get to Edmonton? They're telling me the same 6 days to drive 20 minutes down the highway!
I was so excited when I saw this morning it had made it to the GTA, I called FedEx this afternoon and asked if the page just hadn't been updated yet, and the girl said no, scheduled delivery is still Oct 9!! (granted, she did sound a bit of a dolt) I could drive the 20 minutes and go pick it up myself, and they're telling me 6 days?
I gotta' believe they just haven't updated their system yet, and the call centre person is in the US and doesn't realize that Mississagua is part of the GTA. If it's still showing a delivery of Oct 9 tomorrow morning, I'm calling back. I definitely want it for the long weekend, and with it 20 minutes away, there's absolutely no reason I shouldn't have it.
We've all waited LONG ENOUGH!

Hi,
HRS=O9310.   Means 9310 is coming from previous month balance table SALDO.
To find 9310 there are 2 options
1. Use RPDASC00 Report: Enter your Schema in the selection screen. Then All the subschemas and Rules will be formatted in one list. In that search '9310' timetype. You may get where it is populated.
2. V_T555A: Check the other timetypes whether other timetype Period Balance is transferred.

Regarding the time(1) utility

The time utility (the actual binary) is missing from my system. I have not removed it myself (because why would I). Is there a package including it? And also, why is it missing anyway?

The issue that you have run into is that Arch is a do-it-yourself distro. Expect nothing to be done for you: the responsibility for your system is yours and yours alone.
Trilby's response is actually quite helpful: he gave you three pieces of information which will help you navigate these issues in future (pacman, pkgfile and the bash builtin). Even in Newbie Corner, people are expected to help themselves before posting here. You can choose to see it as a mild reproach, or as an encouragement to dig deeper into how Arch works.

Moving half a song to left a few bars causes crash all the time

using GB 10.0.2
on IMAC 10.9.2
song has 121 bars
35 tracks
never had this problem before in GB 6 never!!!!!!
and i cant revert this song back to GB 6 cos its saved now to 10 **** it!
at bar 66 there is a break maybe 5 beats where the gtr riffs for 4 beats nothing else is in those 4 beats
and then the rest of the song continues
so i need to shift the rest of tracks to the left by 1 beat
easy in GB 6.0.5
in 10 when i select the tracks
dragging them to the left to fit nicely in tempo i get the dancing ball

i selected the first 65 bars/ 35 tracks and moved them to the right so it fits perfect and so the song now doesnt start ot bar 0 because i shifted the beginning to the right away from the start area and
this worked but what might be wrong that its crashing all the time dragging 35 tracks 65 bars in unison to the left just a smidgeon
there has to be a fix

Have you tried to set arrangement markers? Then you could cut out the five beats by deleting the arrangement region.
Place arrangement markers around the beats you want to remove as described here:

Then delete the markers together with the regions as described here: http://help.apple.com/garageband/mac/10.0/#gbnd704aca5e
Delete an arrangement marker together with its regions
Select the arrangement marker, then press Delete to delete the regions in the Tracks area below the arrangement marker so it is empty. Press Delete again to delete the arrangement marker.
Important: In case you accidentally delete regions that you want to keep, use Undo to restore them.
When you move or delete an arrangement marker, the sections to the right move left to fill the deleted section, closing up the empty space.

I made playlist and found that start/end time works some time, not all the time. Also Ipod totally hangs after I transfered playlist to ipod.
Any feedback. Is it a know issue ?

Why doesn't the FedEx Tracking number data detector work in Mail anymore?

I'm running OS X 10.8.3 and Mail 6.3 (1503). I had an email come in that had a FedEx Tracking Number. The data detector picked it up and I was able to right-click and select "Track My Package". Unfortunately there was a "Communication Error" in the pop-up window so it failed. When I clicked 'Open in Safari" it worked! Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I can confirm it no longer works. My guess is that FedEx changed their site in some way that broke the lookup from within Mail. You do indeed have to open up Safari (or some other web browser) to track a package now.

Regarding the tracking the live progress of the cube processing.

Good Morning. As we are having multiple cube applicatons as part of our project, there are multiple cubes for which we need to evaluate the completion time for the cube processing.
By referencing one cube, the cube processing is taking one hour one day and some other day, It is taking an hour for completion. Beacuse of this reason, we could not be able to asses the time for completion of cube processing.
Is there any chance to track the live status of the cube processing?. Which means, the expected time for completion? How many measure group processing are completed and how many left?
Please provide your inputs on this.

According to your description, you want to monitor the progress of cube processing. Right?
In Analysis Services, there are several tools can help us monitor the processing performance, like SQL Profiler, AS Trace, Performance Monitor, etc. We can also use XMLA command or DMV to get the information. Please see:

However, if you want to get the exact live data of the cube processing, Olaf's script can be an effective solution to get the current processing status for some measures or dimensions. But some information still can't be traced, like expected time for completion,
etc. So for your requirement, it can't be fully achieved.

I'd pay good money to bet it wouldn't last 5 years... I don't rate the in built power supply and as for "server grade hard disk" - Hmmmm..... The failure rate of all HD's on the market after 3 year is 60%.

I have two accounts on one Macbook Pro running OS 10.6.8. One account is an admin account, the other is a standard user account.
When I initially implemented Time Machine I was logged into the Admin account. I allowed Time Machine to erase the drive and backup the computer. Is the standard user account contents also backed up?
Also after I completed the Time Machine backup session, I turned off Time Machine and removed the portable hard drive. I plan to return in to Time Machine after being away from the portable hard drive for approximately a month. After a short interruption of approximately one month, when the Macbook Pro is reconnected and Time Machine is turned back on, will Time Machine create a new instance of a backup? WIll the back up contain the standard user account changes?

Time Machine backs up by default all the user accounts.
When you reconnect the backup drive after one month, Time Machine will do an incremental backup and it might take a while minutes to hours depending on how much has been changed. With a gap of a month, Time Machine will have to do a lengthier than normal survey of both drives to see what has changed, so it might take some time preparing for the backup. The backup will include everything that has changed since the previous one.

How can I select tracks to play from my downloaded music as a casual playlist at the time?

I have downloaded all my music onto my Ipad and have a list of songs. I have created playlists for various occasions but I want to be able to select and play random tracks as a one off playlist at the time. I cannot see anyway I can "tick" tracks to play, then hit play. Can anyone help or is this facility not possible. Thanks

IPod Mini continually skips tracks all the time every half a second!

My iPod Mini continually skips tracks all the time every half a second. The only thing that stops it is if you press pause but once you press play off it goes again. This means noi music is able to be played because it's always skipping. The menu button works as does the backlight if you hold the menu button down. The enter button works and the touch pad navigation also works. Both skip buttons have no effect on the unstoppable skipping. Can anybody help or at least verify the problem with other users of simular problems and if they were able to fix them simply, without having to go to an Apple dealer (it's out of warrenty i think)Any help would be appreciated.

---thats what happened to mine, then it stopped working altogether. liek not playing songs at ALL. i have tryed reformating it, i finally got all the settings erased, but then it woulndt 'talk' to iTunes. it has been about 2 months and im still working on it. my suggestion is send it in beore it gets as bad as mine.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm sure LabVIEW uses the (default) Windows timer. And yes, 1 mS is not guaranteed due to the preemptive nature of Windows (and even "RTOSs" to varying degrees), which is why I see about plus or minus 2 mS.
Apparently the Windows timer can be set by API calls. See: http://www.lucashale.com/timer-resolution/. Here's a screen shot of his TimerResolution.exe on a Windows 7 PC:
Here it is on my Windows XP PC after I set it to "Maximum" (initially it was 15.625 mS):
Notice that it sets the Maximum to less than 1 mS, which is supposed to be the max, so there are some bugs. Plus the Default button does not reset it in XP, but does work on Windows 7 or 8. (I know this is not the place to "debug" non-LabVIEW applications!)
I'll bet LabVIEW sets it, too. The only caveat, as I said, is it looks like another application can change it, since the hardware timer is a "global" timer. I have not seen this issue in my LabVIEW applications, have you?
I guess I need to do some more digging to see the code to set the timer, but it looks like the developers of LabVIEW have it figured it out.
(FYI, I did notice that running my LabVIEW app (which gives about 2 mS resolution) or a C# app, which gives 15.625 mS resolution, does not affect what TimerResolution.exe reports, so I'm not sure if it's really working correctly. If I figure it out I'll post the results.)

Modifying a CD track's stop time affects other tracks on the disc

I've reported this same bug via the feedback form for a number of versions of iTunes, I believe going back to version 3 or 4, but here it is again for the pile.
Setting a custom stop time for an individual track on a CD (track -> Get Info -> Options -> Stop Time) affects other tracks on the CD in addition to the one being modified.
For example, if you set one track to end at 2:30, ALL tracks prior to and including that track will now end at 2:30. If one of those tracks is actually 2:10 long, it will play in its entirety and the track immediately following will play for 20 seconds before it ends and goes on to the next track. Tracks after the modified track are unaffected (unless the track being edited is the last track on the CD, in which case ALL tracks on the CD are affected).
I would like to set stop times before ripping CDs to remove dead space commonly added to pad out "hidden" tracks, but this long (long, long, long) standing bug makes this nearly impossible.

Yes, but there's a difference between "may not be frame-accurate when playing/ripping" and "will radically affect tracks other than the one edited when playing/ripping".
Instead of using your current work process, why not
just rip the CD in a lossless format such as Apple
Lossless, then adjust the start/stop times of the
desired tracks in iTunes and convert the files to
another format. There will be no loss in sound
quality in this case, and your problem should be
solved.
I could also buy Fission to losslessly edit the ripped mp3. But for such a basic task (that worked from SoundJam through at least iTunes 3) it would be nice to handle it during the rip instead of going through multiple steps (currently, I rip all tracks but the one that needs editing, then change the start/stop times for that one and rip it on its own).
I ended up filing a bug report, which is what I should have done originally.
