Dear all
After logging into the TTA4 webtop, our users recieve the message above.
I'm afraid we are not prepared to relax permission on workstations, so would
someone explain what effect this will have on user sessions?

PaulTTA reads various registry keys at startup, mainly in connection with
retrieving the local printer configuration. For reasons which are
unclear, it also writes to the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\RNG\Seed
This is not done explicitly by TTA code, but is a side-effect of calling
various Windows APIs, such as EnumPrinters.
I can't be precise on the impact of registry lockdown: it may depend,
for example, on whether your users typically have local or network
printers configured.
We do recommend that access controls be relaxed at least on the key
mentioned above: see
