Registry key to disable hardware accelleration in flash player?

It's causing IE to crash when people watch training videos in flash off Youtube via the terminal server... which as a TS mind you does not have particularly adept video hardware.

I don't have info on disabling hardware acceleration in Flash player. However, if you are running Flash video in a terminal server environment, especially to remote users/locations, I strongly suggest that you look at Ericom Blaze, a software product that accelerates and compresses standard Microsoft RDP, so it speeds RDP while conserving bandwidth. Hardware acceleration with Flash Player 10

I came across an article on potential hardware acceleration enhancements in Flash Player 10:

But I was wondering how to take advantage of this? Here is the snippet from the article which seemed most promising, however when I set the wmode in the html template, I can't see any changes to my application so I'm guessing there must be more to it:

How do I disable the hardware acceleration in Flash player on a Windows XP machine remotely?
I have a few hundred computers running Adobe Flash Player.
The operation system is Windows XP.
They are Compaq 6005 desktop PC’s, with an inbuilt ATI radeon HD 4200 video card.
We have a persistent issue where viewing a flash video (e.g. something on youtube) causes the video card driver to crash. You are left with no video signal to the monitor. Audio continues and the computer still responds to commands. This only happens when watching flash video.
We have tried:
Updating flash plugin (numerous versions)
Updating the video card drivers (we have tried the last three video card driver versions, including the HP drivers and ATI drivers)
Updating the browsers (this problem happens with IE8/9 and Firefox10/11/12)
There seems to be two ways to work round this issue. One is to disable the video acceleration in the ‘troubleshoot’ section in the advanced part of the display settings area in windows. The other way is to start a flash video, right click, go to ‘settings’ and untick the box marked ‘Enable Hardware Acceleration’.
Doing either of these things allows the user to view flash videos with no apparent issues.
Is there a way to disable the hardware acceleration in Flash without visiting the PC? Perhaps an undocumented option in the mms.cfg file? I understand that you can use an option to skip the video card check, and so force hardware acceleration on, can you do the opposite?

Disable update notification for Flash Player 15.x and newer

Dear all
We run a Citrix Environment (on Windows 2008 R2) and we have our monthly update window. Users complain that they get update notifications for Flash Player when a new version is available but they cannot install the update since they have no permissions to install or update any software on our locked down Citrix environment.We tried already all availabe guides regarding "disable update notification for Flash Player" but no guide seems to work with the latest Version 15.x.
Which registry key's oder files do we have to modify with what values to finally disable update notifications for Flash Player.

Why are certain keys disabled when I run Flash Player?

I am building a resource for my students which allows text entry into a text input text field. When I try to type the answer a number of keys are disabled. I have tried disabling keyboard shortcuts in the Flash editor. I have then tried closing the program and just running it in the stand alone Flash Player. The list of keys that do not work are given below.
The keys that do not work are 5,6,8,9,0,P,J,K,B, and X. I have not tested other alphanumeric characters.
the Flash Player version is version 9.
I am using Adobe Flash 5 at home but save as version 4 for use in school. I am running ActionScript 2.

I am not detecting any keys. My Flash file is the start of a simple quiz. ans1 (in the code below) is a text box instance. The actionscript compares what is typed in with a number of given answers. The trouble is if I make questions that need any of the keyboard keys that do not work then the anser cannot be inputted. Thsiis my problem.

Cannot find a registry key to disable Annotations

I am looking to disable Whiteboard for some of our users using registry key.
I cannot seem to find the local registry key on the PC to disable Whiteboard. I prefer not to use the client policy 'AllowAnnotations'

As far as I know this is in-band only and you need to use Set-CsConferencingPolicy. I don't believe there is a registry key for it. you can disable to receive regular automatic updates in the CR Viewer 2008 if you click on "?". Can someone tell me what registry key is written so that these updates are disabled?

unfortunately, the registry key is always for the logged-in user.
But I received the solution from another colleague:
You can disable the Update mechanism by removing the com.businessobjects.crystalreports.designer.updateserviceplugin_12.2.xxx.jar plugin from the \Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports Viewer 2008\plugins\ folder. This will disable it for all users.
Note: Make sure to remove the localized versions of the same plugin.

I can't disable P2P option in Flash Player

My ISP limits the p2p traffic to 30kB/s, I'd like to disable the p2p option in flash player in order to watch videos at full speed and not buffering every 3 seconds.
I've disabled the relative option in the configuration page on my Chrome browser (it's the same in Firefox), but the speed is still limited to 30kb/s...

You could check for upgrades for graphics drivers (and DIrectX), if that fails disable hardware accel, im not sure you can turn all animations off.

How to Disable Auto Updates on Flash Player 10 using mms.cfg

I am a newbee into this.I am trying to install a customized Adobe Flash Player 10.2.153.1 in which auto updates are disabled. I went through the Adobe guidelines and found that it is possible to do the same using a MMS.CFG file. Can anyone tell me how exactly this would look like. I will be extremely thankful if someone can attach a sample of the same.
One more question...
When we disable auto updates using mms.cfg file, will this be updated in the Global Settings Manager ?
Tries from my end till now:
I tried to create a mms.cfg by editing a txt file and adding "AutoUpdateDisable=0 " and then saving teh same as mms.cfg using UTF-8 encoding. this didnt make any difference in the Global Settings manager.

No, I don't think so; these settings are stored in a different place.
Some users have reported that AutoUpdateDisable via mms.cfg does no longer work in Flash Player 10.3. Please check if this failure already occurs in Flash Player 10.2.

On some websites firefox requests me to launch Flash Player by showing panel with text "Allow <website_adress> launch Flash Player ?" at the top of the page and shifting it down a little. The Flash Player, is changing the setting every time i set it up, on deny of peer to Block all sites from storing information on this computer + Block all sites from using camera and microphone and never check for updates.... it changes to enable and allow !!
