Releasing a manual marked standard price

Hi,
Got this error :
A current or future standard price exists for material LI12S078
Message no. CKPRCH025
Diagnosis
A current or future cost estimate exists.
Procedure
You can set the price of a marked cost estimate through the radio button 'Default Planned Prices' and release it by saving.
May I know where is the radio button 'Default Planned Prices' and release it by saving?
Thanks,
Teo

Hi,
Your material is having a release price for that period.
If you want to update the new price to material first run the CKR1 and then re run the CK40N.
Your problem will be solved.

  • Manual Standard Price updation

    Hi All,
One of my client having 8 plants and have more than 1000 FG materials. We are not doing costing run. I have to update manually the standard price for all the FG materials for all the plants. How I can do the above updation in one screen.
    thanks
    Vinu

    HI,
don't know why the s-price is not changed in your system but maybe the reason is the validity date of the future price.
example: the validity date of the future price is 10.04.09. So you cannot release the price on 09.04.09 but only on 10.04.09 or a day after 10.04.09.

  • Material Master - Standard Price

Please suggest - how to change(update) the "Standard Price" of the material in Accounting view of the Material Master ?

    Hi,
(do reward if this is useful)
    Price Update:
In the R/3 menu go to the screen view by the following path:
    Accounting-Controlling-Product Cost Controlling -
    Product Cost Planning MaterialCosting----
    Price update
On the Price Update: Mark Standard Price Screen, choose Other Prices.
The Other Price Update: Release Other Prices screen appears.
Enter data to restrict the cost estimates whose results you want to copy to the Material master
In the Update Prices in Material Master Record group box, set the Commercial Price 1 checkbox.
Choose Execute (F8) to carry out the update.
On the Price Update screen, the system provides a short log for the test run. The log contains green traffic lights and the message “Of 1 materials, 1 cost estimates were updated successfully.”
Choose Back until you get to the Price Update: Release Other Prices selection screen.
Use the same selection parameters as in the test run for the price release. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Deselect the Test Run indicator in the Processing Options group box.
Update the prices in update mode and choose Back.
Call up transaction MM03 and check that the prices have been updated in material master C10150.
The lowest value is determined in inventory costing when the prices are updated in the material master record. The system compares the valuation price according to price control for the current period or previous period with the costing result. If the valuation price is lower, this price is updated, rather than the value determined in inventory costing, as the tax or commercial price.
    Result
Commercial price 1 has been updated in the Accounting 1 view in the material master.

  • Releasing the Standard price for the co product.

    Hi All,
In my scenario , we have configure co product config and is that i have made the respective settings for the co - product in the material master with the joint production and the apportionment structure defined in the suitable ratio.. The cost estimate has been executed and the cost apportionment are resulted as per defined and it is perfect...
But when i tried to release the standard price using CK24, the price of the main product (FERT) is getting updated in the material master whereas the price of the co- product (FERT) is not updating in the material master.  Is any settings has to be made from controlling aspect or settings in material master...
    regards,
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
If you want to mark and release the non-leading co-product, you
need to create a cost estimate for it seperately. Then goto CK24,
    the marking will be OK.

  • Standard price release

    Dear All,
there is one question which i seek the answer for from you guys.while releasing the standard price for semi finished and finished goods, can we stop the users to use any material for which standard price has not been released or could not released simultaneousely with other materials. if yes how ??.
    your answer would be appreciable.
    Regards/ Ashok

    Hi,
You can consider using manual block in material master-costing1 viewPlant-sp.matl status as bolocked for std costing.
Other way is to create the Std Cost Estimate ending period upto the period u want to have that rate instead of 9999 year. This is ensures non availabiltiy of Std Cost Estimate for any date later than of that period end.

  • Material Ledger  - release actual price as the standard price for the next-

Hi Gurus, Sap Library /documentation about Material Ledger says:
"At the end of the period, an actual price is calculated for each material based on the actual costs of the period. This actual price is called the periodic unit price and can be used to revaluate the inventory for the period to be closed. In addition, you can use this actual price as the standard price for the next period."
How Can I do that?  i've calculated the new actual price but i could release it as a new standar costo.
    Kind Regards
    André

    Hi Both,
I think there is something else to add to this, the new PUP price can only be applicable in the period N+2 where N=Period of closing. This is something that is not specifically mentions in SAP documents.(not that I know of ) but I found it the hard way!
    Cheers

  • Periodic Unit Price not update/release to Standard Price

    Dear Gurus,
We have a problem, when closing period is done the PUP (closing period) not update/relase to Standard price (in future period).  We have checked all the steps during the closing period, and all seems to be right.
The closing period is not more than 2 period, we closing April 2014.
    I have checked note 666681.
Maybe Gurus can tell me something that i missed.
    Please help
    Regards,
    Beto

    Hi Szymon,
So the OSS note saying that PUP from April 2014 cannot update to May 2014, the earliest is in June 2014?
I tested the same scenario in testing server and it work.  The PUP get update to standard price in period May.
It just doesn't make sense, the PUP is an average price within April transactions and it needs to update Standard price in May.
Now it makes me more confuse..
    This is period 4
This is period 5 (this is what we expecting), PUP period 4 = Standard price period 5
    Can you help me
    Thanks in advance

    Beto

  • Material valuation(standard price issue)

    Hi Gurus,
We have some issue in material master record accounting1 view. The standard price for the period 1 of 2010,period 2 of 2010 is showing the value of 1000 correctly.but where as coming to material valuation table(MBEW)it is showing as the value of "1".But where as coming to material ledger the standard price is showing as 1000 correctly.due to the inconsistency data between material valuation and material ledger the system is not allowing to post any transactions.Suggest on this issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Jana

    Hi Janardhan,
The Material Valuation Table MBEW will be updated, if  you have completed both Marked and Released activities for  the Material through t-code-CK40N for Mass Materials or CK11N and CK24 for Individual Materials. As per your data, in your case this was completed and price was updated for 01  and 02-2010 periods. If you run CK40N-Standard Cost Estimate for Legal/Group/Profit Center valuation and completed till  u201CMarking of Priceu201D i.e., but not executed the activity u201CRelease priceu201D.  It may be for period 03-2010, the Material Master>Accounting view will be updated with standard price and also Material Master>Future Price field will be updated with u201CMarked Priceu201D, but Current Price/Previous Standard Price  fields will show earlier values. Till you u201CRelease the Priceu201D through t-codes CK40N or CK24, this differences will continue. At the start of March 2010 period, if you u201CRelease the priceu201D, all the fields in Material Master will be updated with relevant Current/Previous Standard Price fields. I hope this will clear your doubts.  If you need more clarity in this regard, please let me know.

  • Costing run-Standard price

    Dear experts,
How we can update standard price in material master in the same month once it get updated with costing run which is updated with wrong values?
Please let me know we can do this,it is very urgent will assign full points,
    Regards,
    Surendra babu.

Use CKR1 with caution. If you do not enter the material and the plant, it can ruin all the cost estimates.
Adjust the master data of price or quantity structure and then re-run the cost estimate for the future valid period and then mark and release.

  • Price valuation with standard price in case of external procurement

    Dear All,
I have the following scenario with my client.
All the materials will be valuated with price control S, whether procurement type is E or F. We don't have any problem if procurement type is E. But where as if procurement type is F and price control indicator is S, the system calculating the moving average price and as well as standard price is also updating for some materials. For some materials there are not moving average prices.
    1. Can any one tell me when SAP calculates both moving average price and standard price? is there any setting to be done.(procurement type F and price control S)
    2. there are differences between moving average price and standard price, ofcourse there may be a difference, but in some cases the difference is more and higher than the standard price, this may cause financial loss to the company. How can solve this.
    full marks will be awarded.
    thanks & regards,
    Ramesh Balivada

    Hi
Moving average is updated for External purchases although price control is standard price in all cases where there are movements in materials i.e., when they are purchases...
Check for the materials where there are no updation of moving average and externally procured materials, there might not be any purchases..
There would be no losses as even though it is calculating mov avg price, the stock, consumption is calculated with std price only.
Check both the cases where there are std prices and check for cases where there are both prices getting updated.

    Suraj

  • Pricing condition/procedure set up for mark up price

    Hi All,
I am struggling with a requirement related to MM pricing procedure. Below is the requirement:
When a PO is created of a material, it will have something called as markup price included in the price of that material. Example- If a material price is 100, it will be made up of basic price 90 + mark up price 10 (two different condition types -PB00 and say ZPB0).
Now when GR is posted, inventory a/c should be debited with 100, GRIR clearing a/c should be credited with 90 and GRIR clearing a/c for markup (new a/c) should be credited with 10. In short mark up price should be speared out in a different clearing account just like freight clearing account.
At the time of IR, there should be only one line item showing balance of 100. Note there should not be two line items, one with 90 and other with 10 (just like in case of planned delivery cost).
So, this scenario is very similar to planned delivery cost scenario except client doesn't want to have two line items in IR.
Is there any standard way to achieve this?
    Regards,
    Pat.

If you dont want the mark up to come in invoice separately, why do you want it to hit a GR / IR account? ( in short why use del cost condition )
If hitting gr / ir is not a requirement and you just need to acrue it, try the following
    PB00 to take 100
create 2 conditions one positve and one negative ( accrual, without condition category ) to take the value 10
the + and - will cancel in the inventory account; you can accrue to different accrual accounts

  • Finished Goods valued at Future Standard price at the time of Delivery .

    Hi,
My client requires the Finished Goods to be valued at Future Standard price at the time of delivery from Production order. This is required because in case there are frequent changes in the material prices, i can mark my material several times.. and change the future standard price.
I have checked and found that it is always valued at Current standard price only.. and not at the future standard price.
    1) i have tested by changing the costing variant in OPL1 ( Planned costing variant for Production orders).. such that the valuation variant picks up the Future price... it seems it will work only for the Raw materials and SFG's consumed in the Production order and not for the Finished goods.
    2. Define valuation variant for Goods received option in the IMG - It seems it is relevant only when your FG is valued at Moving average price only.. so not relevant for my case.
    My question :
Can i value my Finished goods at future standard price ( i.e Marked standard cost estimate ) at the time of receiving goods from Production order ? If yes how ?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Siva

    Hi Siva
It is very much possible, but you need to use exit... I think exit COPCP002 should be the relevant....
Usually, this is used to valuate the GR in case of Valuated sales order stock... I guess this should work in MTS also...
The reason why I feel it should be possble, is that if you read SAP text for the IMG Step Define Goods Received Valuation for Order Delivery, it says at the end
For materials with price control S, on the other hand, the credit posting is always made at standard price.
If you deliver to stock at a price that is not the standard price, the system will report an output price variance in variance calculation
Hence, it should be very much possible to achieve what you want.. Only thing is it will hit a PPV and that you need to find relevant exit if the one abov does not work

  • Standard Price in Material Ledger

    Dear Gurus,
On one hand we need to update on finished products (manufactured) a standard cost estimate (CK11N or CK40N) in order to analyse variances on the corresponding production orders (during period en closing with KKS2 transaction), on another hand, because we are implementing material ledger component, we would like to update the standard price of these finished products with the periodic unit price (PUP) with CKME transaction.
The problem is that the system returns an error when we try to release the price with the PUP,
CKPRCH "A current or future standard price exists for material &".
Could you help me ? Thank you very much
    Christophe

    Hi
I suspect standard price can only be saved once for any period. You can make use of the other price fields in the material master to store different prices
    Thank You,
