Releasing codes of a user for MM

Hi masters,
i have requirment on me29n..when a person creates a purchase orders he ( creater of the PO ) Should not release it.
i am implimenting one of the user exits and my concern here is
where do i find the releasing codes of this USER who is tryiing to RELEASE it?
in which table will i get the releasing codes or is their any FM?

Release strategy: User should release only with his highest release code

Hello,
Because of personel absences we want to configure the release strategy so that:
User A or user B releases in the normal case the first level of a PO (with release code 01).
User C (Manager) releases after release code 01 with release code 02.
User A is deputy of user C. In this case user B will release with code 01 and user A will release with code 02.
Because user A can use depending of the case release code 01 or 02 (C deputy) it must be avoided that user B sets release code 01 and 02 for the same purchase order.
Do you know about a solution for this issue

But the systems knows that A released with code 01 and when A tries to release with code 02 the system knows that the same person of release code 01 is trying with release code 02.
<b>The aim is to avoid the second release from the same person and not to automate the release strategy.</b>
In such a case A has to cancel the release for code 01 (ME28) and wait until B is reachable to do the release of code 01.
When C is absent A knows that his task is to release code 02.
Is this check really not possible?

Go to SUIM
User--Users by Complex Selection Criteria--
Users by Complex Selection Criteria
Enter the authorization object M_EINK_FRG
And click on entry values
enter the release code and release group and execute the report

Purchase Order Release Strategy and SAP user RelationShip

We are currently developing a work flow to streamline PO release in our company . What we want to achieve is that
E.g
A purchase order 100001 is creates and a release strategy s1 is applied to it which is a 3 level relase statrgy having release code c1,c2,c3 which are uniquely assigned to user/employee of the company and no 2 users'employee can have the same release code.
Now when c1 release the purchase order a work item should be created to for the user/employee who is assigned the c2 code.
Currently this workflow is not implemented in our company adn the relase stategy is handeled by authorization oobjects and when ever a po user relase the po he calls up the other persona next in relase strategy to notify him about the work he has to do .
I am need to know can we develop a relationship b/w the release code and sap user or employee

ME54 - Restrict by purchase org and release code

Hi All,
We have a requirement that wants to allow one user to have multiple plants and for one for each one a different release code. Well release codes are controlled by auth M_EINK_FRG and plant is controlled by M_BANF_WRK. Because plant and release code is not in the same auth if I give multiple plants it will allow the greatest release code for all plants using M_EINK_FRG. Has anyone every figured out how to restrict different plants to unique release codes within one user. Did you use some sort of custom auth or user exit?
Our ideal situation would be able to restrict by purchase org but unfortunately it appears that the tcode ME54 does not call the auth M_BANF_EKO so we cannot restrict by purchase orgs. Has anyone thought of a way to get around this.

I believe what you want to achieve may be done through the PO release strategy - since PO releases are based upon the release code and the strategy. A PO for a certain purchase org could be defined for a certain set of release codes.

You need to assign the Rlease codes to the users, in the authorisation profiles.
In the role for authprization of transaction ME28, you have the authorisation object , in which you assign the release codes to the user

Incorrect Release code called which is not defined in a Release Strategy!

Dear Gurus,
I am facing a problem in Release strategy for a specific Purchase Requisition document type. My Release Strategy has two Release Codes for the Approval of a PR. When i create that document type of Purchase Requsition, Same Release Strategy is called, system picks the Two release codes from my Strategy but also pick another Release code which is not defined in my Release Strategy.

In Release Simulation (segment of Release Statergy), just click and you will have small pup up screen and there just double click the release codes all you have and you can see all unwanted release codes will be dissapeared and you have only now needed release codes what you configured for the release statergy. Now similuate release & set/reset release .

Create users for teradata in ADAM / Acitve Directory

I was wondering if you could help me with the ability to create a user in AD / Adam? I am trying to write the powershell code to create users for Teradata connectivity. the manual process is to use adsiedit and create the users through groupof names class.
This is what I have that is NOT working and was looking where to go from here.

Error while assigning user for release approval path for payment release

     I am trying to assign user for payment release in SPRO. I have defined upto 'Define relevant document types for release for payment', after that while assigning user in terms of position for release and save it, i am getting error 'Program error: ASSIGN with length 0 in program "MP120800" '.Because of it i can t proceed further.

Problem User Profile - Release Code PR

Hi all,
I have a situation with release code, a user has in his profile:
ZIBI_MM_LIB_REQ_RO this role is for
Release code                   RO
Release group                  *
When i release the PR from RO it goes to RF.
This user DON'T have the RF role in his profile:
ZIBI_MM_LIB_REQ_RF
Release code                   RF
Release group                  *
But he can release the RF too.... how i block him from doing that.

I'm ABAP and my profile knowlegde is limited, the MM person already discover what was going on, the user has another profile giving him acess to all codes.

Reuse Release Codes for PR Release.

Hi!
Business requirement has resulted in exhausting the Release Codes for Purchase Requisitions. What might possibly be the impact of using the same Release Codes in different Plants and restricting the users by Roles.
Example:
Release Strategy X: Plant IND1 / Value >0: Release Code ZZ
Release Strategy Y: Plant IND2 / Value >0: Release Code ZZ
Assume that the PR Releasers are different (say Mr. A & Mr. B for Plant IND1 and IND2 respectively):
Create 2 Role:
Role X: Authorization for Plant IND1 and Release Code ZZ
Role Y: Authorization for Plant IND2 and Release Code ZZ
Now if we assign Role X to Mr. A and Role Y to Mr. B, Mr. A will get only PRs from Plant IND1 and Mr. B will get only PRs from Plant IND2. Hence they can use the same Release Code ZZ. But the PRs will be from their respective Plants.
Can you foresee any issues with the above setup? I tested the same in sandbox and it is working fine.

There has not a issue of Release Strategy, you can give the access rigth through role.
But check the muliples plant & Release code.

Hi Raju,
Are you setting release for purchase requisition or purchase order ? If you are setting the release strategy for purchase requisition you need to enter table name as CEBAN and for purchase order give table name as CEKKO.
Enter tcode SE11 and give database table name as CEKKO and choose the appropriate field name for the desired component from here. Do the same with table name CEBAN for pur req.

does anyone know any FM that can get sap user id from certain release code and release group?
ex: if i input rel code 40, rel group N1 , then it should be sap user id A
i would prefer FM rather than tables and tcode.
