Remap tablespace create the tablespace in target database.

Hi All,
I am trying to import the schema from 11gR1 version to 11gR2 database.
Schema : dan
Tablespace : multi
I took the export of dan schema using expdp which is succeefully done.
when i try to import the into target db
Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/USER
ORA-39083: Object type USER failed to create with error:
ORA-00959: tablespace 'MULTIACCESS_DATA' does not exist
Failing sql is:
CREATE USER "DAN" IDENTIFIED BY VALUES 'S:2814BF86EF3DD922F9BBE119CF9A84886BB25A6641AA63280A3BF992634D;0C1527BEB47B289D' DEFAULT TABLESPACE "MULTI" TEMPORARY TABLESPACE "TEMP"
The tablespace is not present in target db. I know that if schem is not present that in target db that will be created by impdm i dont know about tablespace.
impdp directory=EXPORT_DIR2 dumpfile=1007472_exp.dmp logfile=1007472_imp.log remap_schema=dan:dan remap_tablespace=MULTI:MULTI
My concern is will remap_tablespace will create the tablespace in target db . In my case multi which is not present in target db.
Multi the the default tablespace of source schema which is not present in target schema.
Os version is RHEL 5
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

My concern is will remap_tablespace will create the tablespace in target db . In my case multi which is not present in target db.No, impdp don't create any tablespaces. REMAP_TABLESPACE allow you to use existing tablespace other than used during export.
The tablespace is not present in target db. I know that if schem is not present that in target db that will be created by impdm i dont know about tablespace.
impdp directory=EXPORT_DIR2 dumpfile=1007472_exp.dmp logfile=1007472_imp.log remap_schema=dan:dan remap_tablespace=MULTI:MULTI
remap_schema=dan:dan remap_tablespace=MULTI:MULTI have no sense. You could use these options to redirect data from one schema/tablespace to another one.

  • How & Where to create the Target Groups and Transport Targets for Business

    Hi Experts,
I am Transporting the scenarios from Development 500 client XI system to Development 500 client PI7.1 system. I have taken the exports of Technical system and Business System from the DEV XI system and correspondingly have imported the same in the PI7.1 system. I can see the all the business system in the Business system SLD of the PI7.1 system. I would like to assign the Business System Groups and Transport Targets for every business system that I want to transport. How can I do that ? Whether this is to be done in DEV XI system or the DEV PI system? Can somebody elaborate the step by step method to create the Groups and Target system for the every Business system so that I can import the object of the Integration Directory sucessfully................................
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Supriya,
Thanks for the reply and good illustration............Still going further after defing the destination for transport in the source SLD Business system ( XI dev server) , then we should export it and subsequently import it in the SLD of the PI 7.1 ie the destination server.  Then we should transport the objects of Integration Repository and Integration Directory to the new PI7.1 server. Is this the right way to proceed.?  Hope that this will not give the error while importing the objects in Integration Directory. An typical which comes while importing the objects in the Integration Directory is as follows:-
*Import failed because of business system transfer of object Communication Component | PCM: Obligatory transport target for business system PCM not found in System Landscape Directory*
    Pls clarify on this ......
    Thanks & Regards

  • Transforming the Raster Data between Databases

    Hi
I have a Requirement to Import and Export The Raster Data Between Data bases .. Could Any Body Give Me Hint...
    Rajanikanthc

NedimAT pointed you to the 10g manual. If your database is 11g, please check it out from the 11g manual, Section 3.21 Transferring GeoRaster Data Between Databases:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e11827/geor_operations.htm#CIHECFGC
Depending on your requirements and the source and target database environments, you may also consider using Transportable Tablespace to transfer the raster data, particularly when you want to transfer only part of the database based on queries or cropping areas. Check section 3.22:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e11827/geor_operations.htm#CHDGEGHB
    hope this helps

  • Is owb repository should be in target database..??

    Hi,
    I have 2 databases.. db1,db2
I have owb repository in db1,
No repository in db2 can I use db2 as Targer db in the maps..??
Is it manadatory to have a OWB repository in target database..??
    Cheers,
    Sivarama

I still have a lot to do before becoming an expert in OWB, but I can assure you that you don't need the OWB repository on either the source or target databases. In the Oracle class that I took, the sample architecture had the OWB repository on a stand alone database (either the source or target).
I think, and this is where I can be wrong, that you may need a dblink between the repository and the target.

  • RMAN duplicate target database for standby from active fails to create newname for system tablespace/datafile

When executing 'duplicate target database for standby from active'  the system tablespace/datafile (datafile 1)  is not cloned.  All other datafiles clone successfully.  The RMAN process aborts with the following errors while attempting to clone the system tablespace/datafile.
    ORA-19558: error de-allocating device
ORA-19557: device error, device type: DISK, device name:
ORA-17627: ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
ORA-17627: ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
    ORA-03135: connection lost contact
    Here are the details:
Primary is 11.2.0.2 RAC database  on an Exadata platform
Standby is 11.2.0.2 Single Instance database (same patch level as primary) on a Red Hat Linux box
This is an ASM to ASM duplication.
This is not unique to this database.  We tried another database and go the same behavior - all datafiles clone successfully with the exception of the system tablespace/datafile.
We have traced the RMAN execution and it seems to fail when it is trying to assign a NEWNAME to the system tablespace/datafile.
We even issued an explicit SET NEWNAME command but RMAN ignored it.
We also shutdown the primary and started is up in mount mode thinking that something had ahold of the System Tablespace/datafile.
We also opened up the network firewall to allow permit any,any traffic.
    We increased the max_server_processes
and added TCP.NODELAY=yes to the sqlnet.ora file.
There seems to be some artifact present in our Primary System tablespace/data file that is preventing it form being cloned.
checked all alert files grid, asm,  and dbhome - no abnormal messages.
We are in the process of restoring the database from a backup but we would prefer to get this working using the 'Active Database' methodology

I successfully created the standby database using RMAN backup and recovery.
I started the managed recovery.  Archive logs are being sent from the primary to the standby ( I can see them in ASM), but the standby is not applying them.
I get the following messages in the standby alert log...

  • Can we create new tablespace in Oracle Database 10g Express Edition?

    Hi,
Can we create new tablespace in Oracle Database 10g Express Edition instead of using the default "users" tablespace provided?
    Please advise.
    Thank you.

Correct. The sum of all user tablespaces is not allowed to exceed 4 GIG.
You could try shrinking your tablespaces. Theres a script called maxshrink on http://asktom.oracle.com which is useful for this.
    You could compress your tables.
If you are storing lobs, you could consider storing them as bfiles.
Or upgrade to Oracle Standard Edition 1. Its not that expensive.

  • CJS-00091 Unable to create the tablespaces -R/3 4.7E installation

    Hi All,
We are installing R/3 4.7 Enterprise  x200-SR1 release. While installing Database instance, SAPinst got terminated with the below error at tablespace creation step.
CJS-00091  Unable to create the tablespaces. DIAGNOSIS: There is not enough free disk space: Mount point | space required | space available | SAPDATA directories
    /oracle/DCM/sapdata1   |   44891   |   10408.3   |   4,3,1,2
. SOLUTION: Make more disk space available.
We have 10GB,12GB,30GB,30GB available in sapdata1,sapdata2,sapdata3 and sapdata4 respectively. But why the installation is trying to load all the exports into sapdata1.
If any one would have faced the similar kind of issues or know the solution please suggest me the solution.
    Best Regards,
    Ganesh.

    Hi,
Have you distributed the sapdata files in the Installation Dialogue Box ? means Have you specified different directories for different sapdata files during Installation process ?
Please re-distribute the sapdata files location by re-running the SAP Installation. As sapdata1 location is nt having the demanded space (44891 MB).

  • CJS-00091 Unable to create the tablespaces

    Hi
while installing database instance in ecc5.0 i am aslo getting the same error.
    ERROR 2006-12-11 15:11:42

can u pz tell the solution for this

The answer to your question is in the error message itself
    ERROR 2006-12-11 15:11:42
CJS-00091 Unable to create the tablespaces. DIAGNOSIS: There is not enough free disk space: Mount point | space required | space available | SAPDATA directories D:/ | 106656 | 102794 | 1. SOLUTION: Make more disk space available.
The space requierd on drive D:  =106656, you only have 102794 available.
Thus, you need more disk space and you can
    1)  delete files/programs you do not need; or
    2)  distribute the SAPDATA directories over other available drives
    3)  install a bigger drive D:
Skipping this step does not really solve your problem and could actually create more issues later on.

    >
Well, why not simply test that yourself? You seem to know the command already. It is possible but with some effort:
You have to rename the original tablespace before importing it back. Also, you have to create the user testb with the appropriate privileges. The datafile that you import has to be renamed also, because a file with that name already belongs to the database.
    Kind regards

  • Getting SQL to recreate tablespaces in new database

    Hi,
This is probably a dumb question but is there a way I can generate the sql to recreate all the tablespaces in my database. I have one with 100+ tablespaces each with several datafiles?
I looked at backup controlfile to trace but this just gives me the datafiles
    Many thanks
    Sandy

See Jonathan Lewis's post at http://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2009/12/31/dbms_metadata/
    Instead
from dba_ts_quotas where username = 'TEST_USER'you could specify
    from dba_tablespaces
order by 1Remember to SET LONG to an appropriate large enough value as the output from dbms_metadata.get_ddl is a CLOB.

  • How to read the source file and copy the entire content to the target Database field

    Hi All,
PI system extracts the actual business content from the incoming attachment file and copy the entire format to the target Database field which is a blob data type field.
    Sender Adapter: SOAP
    Receiver Adapter: JDBC
    JDBC Structure
Can we achived the above requirement by using UDF with out Java Mapping?
    Thanks,
    Mahi.

Ok, in this case yo can use the conten converion of the file adapter. Therefore you first need to create a Datatype in ESR with the required structure
Then in your file adapter you need to use this datatype and its required fields:
The Datatype then can be used as usual within you mapping.
    regards
    Christian

  • RMAN-05001 auxiliary .... conflicts with a file used by the target database

I can´t recreate my physical standby.
    It worked in the past.
Now I reinstalled the 3 standbyclients.
Copied the spfile from the primary - modified the entries and did a rman backup.
But when issuing the duplicate database command - it comes up with the error above

    *.log_file_name_convert='+DATA/prim/','+DATA/stdy/','+RECOVERY/prim','+RECOVERY/stdy'

    Hi ,
I feel you are using ASM but still check the below details:
    Cause
Production and Auxiliary have same directory structure and are running on two different machines. RMAN must be told not check that the target datafiles are sharing the same names as the duplicated files being created. Otherwise, the following errors will be returned:
    RMAN-05001: auxiliary filename /qmaxnt/u04/qmaxntorafiles/table/QMAXAD08_03.dbf
conflicts with a file used by the target database
    RMAN-05001: auxiliary filename /qmaxnt/u04/qmaxntorafiles/table/QMAXAD08_02.dbf
    Solution
To implement the solution, please use nofilenamecheck in syntax as follows:
    1. Connect to Target, auxiliary, and rman catalog and
    2. use script as
    run{
    set until time "to_date('2005/09/17 14:00:00','yyyy/mm/dd HH24:MI:SS')";
    allocate auxiliary channel aux1 type 'sbt_tape';
    allocate auxiliary channel aux2 type 'sbt_tape';
    duplicate target database for standby dorecover nofilenamecheck;
Make sure to use auxiliary type of channel so RMAN restore take place at auxiliary database.
    Thanks,
    Rafi.
