Rented movie...how to watch it on appletv??

I rented a movie a few days ago. It is listed on my itunes Library/rented movies.
I am trying to watch in on my apple tv. Tried syncing it...nope. Tried finding a video tab under drvices/appletv...not there.
Just how do i get my movie into apple tv???

Yes the Help file says it is possible, ready for when it is actually possible.
They could have waited to update the help info until after the Apple TV 2.0 software was released, but that would have required yet another iTunes update just to change the help info.
Just be a little patient, a simple look at the Apple Web Site, specifically this page, make it very clear :-

You can start watching it whilst it's still downloading - but if you have a slow internet connection then you may want to wait for it to finish downloading first, otherwise you may catch up with it and have to wait for more of it to download

    Hey BL4571,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want a refund for a purchase. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

You have 30 days to start watching a movie after you rent it. When you start watching the movie, you have 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) to finish it.

  • I wanna continue download a renting movie,how do i do?

i tried to download a renting movie , but in the middle, My internet died , so the question is, how Can I continue the download?

As long as you are within 48 hours from when you first started to watch it, just go to your "Videos" app, click on films tab. Select your rented movie and press play it should give you the option to keep going from where you left off or start from beginning.

  • Rented movie disappeared without watching it within 2 days of downloading

I downloaded movies to watch on vacation. All the movies are gone never watched them

Before we can answer, are you talking about iTunes? Or some other store?
If it's non-iTunes, contact the provider. Nothing we can do about it here.
If you rented it on iTunes, did you get an email confirming that? Did you begin to watch the rental? If so, you only get 24 hours in the USA to finish it (and 48 hours outside of USA).
    Here are the rules:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1657
If you didn't, and you have the email receipt from Apple, there's a link under every purchase that says "Report a Problem." Click on that, and explain what happened. They can tell if you started the movie, so don't expect a positive resolution if you started it.

If you rented the movies, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.

  • How to watch trailers on AppleTV?

It took me months to figure this out. I couldn't access the trailers and it was totally frustrating. Well today I decided to turn the HD settings under the settings menu to "off". Strange phenomenon....the trailers are in HD, but turning the HD setting off enabled the trailers to play...who would have thought it?...hope this helps anyone having trouble :)

  • Is an internet connection needed to start watching a rented movie?

I know that a rented movie can be watched on an iPod without having internet access. What about on a computer? If I want to watch a rented movie on an airplane, do I have to start watching it before the flight when I have an internet connection? Or can I simply start watching on the airplane, where there is no connection to the iTunes store?

Nope, you should be good to play it without an internet connection as long as your computer is properly authorized before hand, which it usually is. Hope that helps to answer your question. Enjoy the movie!

  • How to delete rented movie link

I rented a movie from iTunes, but after it expired the cloud icon still appears in Video on iPad air, I can hide it but I want get rid of it!
    Thank you.
    Phil

    HERE'S A SOLUTION:
I just got off of the phone with Apple Tech Support. It seems that there is a toggle setting under Videos, which when turned on (green), instructs one's iPad to show all rented movies, whether expired, watched, or not. Simply switching the toggle to off is step 1. Once that's done, return to the Video > Rentals screen, and click on the Edit button in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Once that's done, an "X" will appear in the corner of each movie icon. Press the "x" on the movie(s) you wish to delete, and that's it.
Why on earth Apple made this process so absurdly complicated, after being able to simply hold down the particular movie icon in earlier releases, I have no idea. But this solves it. Hope it helps.
