Why this message is comming ...even i didnt use any Auction(In repair procedure) as Scrap.
Plz can any one tell me .
Thanks in advance
Regards
raj.

Hi,
During the Usage Decision "Are you accepting these goods 100 %" OR you are scrapping the goods..... *That is, even though there is no action maintained for scrap in your repair procedure there is an option in QA11 tcode for you to make the Usage Decision as to either Perform the repair OR Scrap the goods. May be in your case you might have scrapped the goods during your USAGE DECISION.*
The abaove stage of making the Usage decsion will come in to picture after you create the Service Notification and do the PGR.
I believe you are following the standard Returns and Repair Processing.

  • How to assign repairs procedure to the item category relevant for repairs ?

I would like to know the steps to set up the following in the Customizing.
    Thanks for your input.
"The repairs procedure has Set of rules according to which actions are generated in the repair order.
It is assigned in Customizing to the item categories that are relevant for repairs processing and is adopted in the repair request item in the repair order. "

    Question answered

  • Nano repair procedure from collection..

OK, so my Nano has been picked up and sent for repair. (Had a very interesting chat with the courier about ipods)
He said the procedure is usually quick and has a turnaroun dof 4-5 days.
A couple more qustions if I may-
1, will my returned ipod be boxed in a new nano box, with earphones, Im intrigued. I doubt it, but I wonder.
2, will i be contacted whilst its in for repair, or will it be sent striahgt back to me.
The ocurier said its doubtful I will have to pay as its under warranty, and it only goes to the Netherlands.
I also spoke with Apple tech support this AM, and the Apple sales team who said that as long as the unit is under 12 months, an Apple store will accept it back and re-issue an new unit.
I wasnt aware of this, as Id have returned it back to the sore otherwise.

no. i had been having trouble with the nano resetting itself/crashing basically since i had it, about 1 in times id connect it, it would just restore and id lose everything.
i thought it was just me trying to copy over too many songs.
so i called apple a few times, each time, it was format it, and you'll be alright. most of the time it worked for a while.
then i got sick of it crashing so i called techsupport and the advisor said it sounds like a HD/Mem, prob. We'll check it out, you have to send it in. Confirmed my address and that was it. Courier arrives to pick it up today!
Quite possibly they dont request any kind of shipping payment, as i certainly didnt give any cc details.
Ive not been totally happy with the nano since i had it, but if i receive one that doesnt have the same problem, and a better battery life,i wont hear a bad word said against them!

  • Service Contract and Repair procedure

    Hi,
I am struggling with a Service mgmt issue.
There is a service contract in which we maintain the terms and conditions of service (bill plan) and also give the rates for service.
Now when i run a repair at plant scenario wherein i bring back the defective matr. for repairs, the service notification is connecting to that contract and takes the contract number.
What is fail to understand is that how do the contract terms and conditions affect the repair process.
The process i am following is as follows:
1)Created a contract for the C/s and material to give service for one year and the customer paid one time for that through billing the Contract type WV.
    2) For the repairs, i did the following
Service notification - repair Order - return delivery of defective matr to service center - Service order creation - carrying the repair (added a spare part also) and technically completed the order - Delivery of repaired matr to customer - Resource related billing request creation (DP90) - Billing the repair order - Settlimg the Service order - Settling the Repair order.
In all this process, i do not find any link between the Contract and repair cycle. Ideally since the customer has paid for the service one time, we should only charge for whatever spare parts are used.
Hope I have been able to explain it. looking forward to any help on this issue
    Thanks
    Arijeet

    HI Arijeet,
conditions and the price agreements for the service material and materials will be picked from the service contract into the repair order.
    regards
    Ravi.

Shutdown the computer. Wait a short while then do this:
    Repair the Hard Drive
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

  • Issue in creation of new line item in repair order-Reg

    Hi all,
I have a query in Service Management Module of SAP while working in standard IDES System.
I followed the procedure given in the IDES material.
As per the standard system the fourth line item in the repair order should be automatically created, once the service order is technically confirmed and completed. In my case iam able to get the first three (Item Categories - IRRS,IRRE,IRRP) line items but even after completing the service order technically iam not gettin the fourth line item (IRAL). Only based on the Fourth line item we can create the Outbound delivery for the repaired item. After that the billing process need to be processed. My query is how to get the fourth line item automatically in the repair order after i technically complete the Service Order.
To brief you on the entire process that i have followed:
    1. The QM Check need to be activated for the material.
    2. Creating the Service Notification and the repair request.
    3. Posting the GR of a piece of equipment to be repaired.
    4. Processing the technical check.
    5. Displaying the repair request and the service order.
    6. Editing the Service Order.
    7. Processing and Confirming the Service Order.
    8. Technically Completing the Service Order.
    9. Delivering the Repaired Piece of Equipment.
    Then Comes the BILLING.....
In the above, after the eighth Step the Fourth Line item will be created automatically created but it DOESNT....
    regards
    Venu

    Hi ,
Review your repair procedure and copy controls defined for this stage...mya be some thing is missing over there causing this behaviour.
As you told completion of Service order will determine the last item and enable us to delivery the item to customer...
    Thanks,
    sudhi

Mac OS X has a built-in disk diagnostic and repair program called fsck or file system consistency check. Here’s how to verify and repair your startup disk with fsck.  As soon as you hear the startup tone, press and hold Command-S on the keyboard. Keep holding down those keys until you see a black screen with white lettering. This is called “booting into Single User Mode.”  As the Mac boots in this mode, the screen reports each step of the process. The line should end in root#.  Right after the root# prompt, enter the following: /sbin/fsck -fy
If repairing the disk in single user mode fails, it means one of two things. Either your hard drive itself is failing (a hardware failure), or the directory damage on your hard drive is beyond the capability of the built-in repair procedures in OS X.

    Dear SAP Experts,
We are implementing SAP CS for our customer and I faced the same error while Billing the Repair Order. I had made an error in assigning the Transfer of Requirements correctly to each of the item category in the Repair Order.
By SAP standard, the status of the main item of the Repair Order will be changed to "Repaired" as soon as the Service Order is Technically Completed (TECO).
I had wrongly assigned the same Requirement class to both the main item and also the repair item. So the system was expecting there were 2 service orders created for the main item and the repair item. So when I TECO'd the actual Service Order, the main item status was changed to "Partially Repaired" and not "Repaired".
So I corrected the Requirement class, and assigned the class SE to the main item and the copy of Requirement class 204 to the repair item.
This solved the issue and once the service order is TECO'd the status of the main item in the Repair Order changed to "REPAIRED".
Then I was able to invoice the Repair Order without any issue. So please check the requirement classes assigned to each of the sub-items in the Repair Order.
    Thanks,
    Siraj

  • Issue in Repair Order

    Hi Guru's,
I am replicating the repair order scenario. I am trying to create repair order of document type RA and i did the configuration setting for item category IRRS to be coming for repair order.
In this scenario, System is throwing the error material does not exists for the plant. But this material is used so many times. I doubt that there is some issue in repair procedure (t-code--vorp). and what is the right item category(is it irrs or irrp or any other.)
in this scenario i am creating repair order and creating return delivery so that the stock will be coming to my plant for repair. I am not giving any loan item to the customer. Please let me know what is the right requirement type and requirement class.
Please suggest the solution for my repair scenario.
    Thanks,
    C Chaitanya

Please use the subject effectively and avoid using "Please Help", "Urgent" etc.

    Hi Santosh,
Thanks for the reply. My scenario is I am getting the material from customer for repair. So I should create repair order w.r.t service notification. After creating repair order, I should create return delivery (LR).
In this scenario i don't have service material. If material no 1808 is delivered to the customer, I need to get the same material back to the plant for the repair.
If IRRS is not the right item category what is the right item category.
I dont have any serviceable item. In my scenario IRRS is not serviceable item.
What should be the setting for VORP (Repair processing). Any idea?
Is this configuration is right? Please suggest.
    Thanks,

  • Service Order Creation from a Repair Order - Reg

    Hi,
I have a situation where a batch of 100 Pieces of a serialized Serviceable Material has been delivered by a Customer. I have to carry out repair and treat each piece as unique. i.e., a Job Order for each Piece of the Material.
I created a Repair Order, Delivery and perform PGR to inward the incoming Serviceable Material. Now each Serial Number is in stock.
Now, is it possible to automatically create 100 different Service Orders (based on Repair procedure) for each Piece and assign Serial Number to each of these Service Orders ? Or should I have to enter 100 line items one after another manually ?
    Thanks.
    Raj

    Raj,
No, if you want to stay within standard, then you need to create 100 items on the repair order each for one unit, then do 100 seperate goods recipts which will then create 100 seperate orders..

  • How to send replacements in Repair Order in SAP CS

    Dear CS Experts,
We have a scenario where in we need to send replacements before repairing the returned goods. I have maintained the Repair Procedure as below and maintained all the item category customizings. But when I try to add this manual step of "Send Replacement", the system is not creating a replacement item for the outbound delivery.
I tried to automate this step by setting the "Automatic" flag, then the replacement item is generated by default. But then the system is not determining that this item is Delivery relevant. I had maintained all delivery relevant settings and also the copy control settings for delivery. Still I get an error saying that there are no delivery relevant item.
So I was just wondering how can we send replacements after the initial step of repair goods receipt. Any help is highly appreciated.
Send Replacement will actually create a Outbound Delivery item or it has to be achieved using a different movement type. Please help!!!!
    Thanks,
    Siraj

    Dear CS Experts,
I think I have sorted out the issue.
I changed the Repair Procedure as below.
    1. I create a Repair Order and enter 4 goods to be returned.
    2. I want to send 1 replacement item.
So I add this manual step in the repair scheme for 1 item to be replaced.
    3. So the replacement item is created. The mistake I was doing initially was that - I was trying to do this manual activity after the return delivery. After return delivery, the repair procedure has already gone to the next step of Start Repair. Hence this replacement FLAG was not showing.
    4. Now I do the return delivery of the 4 goods.
    5. I trigger the outbound delivery of the replacement item. The issue with the Outbound Delivery before was that - I have not assigned the correct Schedule Line Category to the replacement item category. I assigned the correct Scheduled Line Category as IA. Now the system allowed me to create outbound delivery without any issue.
In the outbound delivery I mention from which storage location this replacement item should be picked from.
    6. After the outbound delivery of the Replacement Item - now I see the correct figures in the Repair Scheme.
From now I can proceed with the other steps successfully.
So to summarize - these are the steps which needs to be checked for Replacement Item Delivery
    A. The Replacement Item Category should have the Scheduled Line Category IA assigned.
    B. Adding the Replacement Step should be done before the Returns Delivery (with the repair procedure settings which I had).
I could sort out the issue now with the above two settings. I hope this could be helpful for others who are trying to sort out the same issue.
    Thanks,
    Siraj

My Acrobat 8 Pro is failing to print to a pdf from multiple software.  I get an error message that a repair fixes but only for a little while.  Pretty soon the trial version of 9 that I installed pops up telling me it has expired but it would take me to a way to buy a valid serial number and then 8 stops working again.  I’d be happy if the 8 I paid for worked right or I could get 9 for a small cost but I cannot afford $450 or $20/month.  I need a permanent solution that I should be already paid for with 8 pro.

After multiple repair procedures with reboot in AA8 I was eventually able to restore the printing to pdf function from various software.  However I have again lost my Acrobat tab in Outlook 2007.  I need that back, but today an even bigger problem arose.  AA8 has stopped printing to fax.  It faxes a blank page.  The only fax printing option is “Microsoft Shared Fax Driver”.  My fax software is “Windows Fax and Scan” and it was working fine just a couple weeks ago.  My OS is Windows 7 Professional.
I have tried doing the updates you referred to but I get error messages like these:
“No qualifying products found to apply this update, or update has been already applied”
    or
“The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing , or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.  Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.”

  • Best approach for handling a Repair business

    Hi All,
A company provides Repair Services for various branded Products. The manufacturers send their Products for repair along with replacement Parts. The repaired Products are despatched back to the Original Manufacturer with details of Repair (nature of repair, Parts consumed etc.,). The Products are serialized and hence repair details has to be provided for each Unit of the Product.
After repair, Labour and / or Material Charges (billing) are claimed with the Manufacturer (the company may also use some of their own Parts for repair). Actual cost incurred for Repair is also to be determined.
Following metrics are to be taken care of:
Technician’s Performance in terms of no of units repaired per day, % Yield (Out of 100 Units, recovery is 80) Technician wise, Cost of Repair – Actual cost incurred for Repair / No of Units repaired
What would be the best approach to handle the above scenario in SAP R/3 v 4.7 ?
    Request feedback.
    Thanks.
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
the steps for reparis process is as follows
    1.Repair order process
    2.Technical check and reparis processing
    3.outbound delivery and billing
    Repair order process
1.create the sales order type RAS-repari/service and include the service product and serviceable material over there and save the order
    2. open the sales order in change mode go to menu sales document and deliver change the delivery type to LR i.e return delivery
    3. assign serial number for the serviceable materials
the path is go to extras-->serial numbers assign and save
    4. go to VL02N and post the goods reciept that means we are taking the goods in to our stores. Then check IQ03 thr which we can display serial number master record and verify.
    Technical check and reparis processing
    1. open sales order in change mode and here we will recognize how the returns were posted
go to item view-->repair tab in recieved field you can observe the recieved items
    2. below that Business decision: start repair
you will get the repari procedure these things we can set it in customization.
the path is sales and distributionsalessales documentscustomer services-returns and repari procedure--define repair procedure
we have to assign repair procedure to item category
so that whenever you will put the material through item category we will get our own repair procedure.
    then in the business decision
we can select how many u want to repair and how many u want to do outbound and how many u want to scrap for scrap items uhave to issue credit memo after this save the sales order
open sales order in change mode go to editdisplay criteria-all items
double click on the item sothat you can see the smorder i.e. service order (which gets generated automatically) which we will assign in requirement class.
Then go to service order confirm the operations and techo the order
    then last step is
    outbound delivery and billing
we have to send the repaired device back
    go to va02
and see as soon as we techo the order an outbound delivery is created in repari tab. Perfrom outbound delivery i.e. salesdocument--deliver(need ot remove default delivery type) and save.
create transfer order and goods issue is posted.
    then go to DP90
    billing request process individually
    give your sales document number
    press save billing request
then go to sales document billing
invoice will get generated save it
settle the service order to sales order thr kO88 and settle the repair order thr VA88
still if you have any doubts mail me and reward me with points if it is useful to you

  • Is it possible to repair a faulty Power/Analog Video board?

I've had several CRT iMacs over the years and am on my third and fourth ones that have defective PAV boards in them. These are getting hard to find. Does anyone know what component(s) typically fail on these? Is there a repair procedure that I could have an electronics repair wizard attempt? I've been searching and can find references to flyback transformer repair on the tray loader machines but so far haven't found any information on the slot load machines. Any help would be appreciated. Even though these machines are pushing 9 years old they're still useful for kids and older people who just need to access the internet.
