hi all ,
Am getting syntax error for the code below. Am using
4.7 .its says "p0041-dar01" and "date" are type-incompatible.
however when i compile the same code in 4.6 its workin fine. here is the code..
*& Report  ZTEST_REP                                                   *
REPORT  ZTEST_REP                               .
INFOTYPES 0041.
NODES : PERNR.
data : begin of date,
         dar like pa0041-dar01 ,
         dat like pa0041-dat01.
data  : end of date.
START-OF-SELECTION.
GET PERNR.
DO 12 TIMES VARYING DATE
          FROM P0041-DAR01
          NEXT p0041-DAR02.
write :  / date-dar ,
           date-dat.
write : / date.
ENDDO.
END-OF-SELECTION.
can i know what is the exact problem ...
Thanks
senthil

Hi Senthil ,
Try ...this way...
DATA: BEGIN OF WORD,
        ONE   VALUE 'E',
        TWO   VALUE 'x',
        THREE VALUE 'a',
        FOUR  VALUE 'm',
        FIVE  VALUE 'p',
        SIX   VALUE 'l',
        SEVEN VALUE 'e',
        EIGHT VALUE '!',
      END   OF WORD,
      LETTER1, LETTER2.
DO VARYING LETTER1 FROM WORD-ONE NEXT WORD-THREE
   VARYING LETTER2 FROM WORD-TWO NEXT WORD-FOUR.
  WRITE: LETTER1, LETTER2.
  IF LETTER2 = '!'.
    EXIT.
  ENDIF.
ENDDO.
The resulting output is the character string
"E x a m p l e !".

Vijay

  • To pass the values in repetitive structures any function module

    hi all,
Is there any function module to pass the values in repetitive structures like infotype 0041(Date spcification). I heard there is a function module, so any of you can tell that function module.
    thanks,
    sekhar.

    Hi Chandra,
If your question is to find a date for a given dar value in IT 0041 then this is the sol:
Yes there is a function Module for IT0041, HR_ECM_READ_IT0041_DATE_TYPE
    eg:
    INFOTYPES: p0041.
DATA: lv_msg TYPE REF TO if_hrpa_message_handler,
              lv_date TYPE D.
    GET pernr.
    CLEAR: lv_date.
        CALL FUNCTION 'HR_ECM_READ_IT0041_DATE_TYPE'
          EXPORTING
datar           = 'U2'       " specify the value of the dar value, for which u have to find date
            p0041           = p0041
            message_handler = lv_msg
          IMPORTING
            date            = lv_date.
For the dar value U2, lv_date will have the corresponding date.
Hope this will clear your doubt.
    Thanks,
    Kishore

  • How to read Blueprint Structure using ABAP

    Hello All,
We are creating a report for which we need to read the projects blueprint structures (from ABAP).
Anyone any ideas what tables to read from, or what bapi calls we can make for this?
    Thanks,
    Jurjen

    Hi Jurjen
sorry for my late response, I was two days offsite at a customer ...
If you follow the description above you will get a list of entries of TTREE with different TTREE-TYPES. These types are giving you at least some information about their positions in the structure:
    BMBS0 is a business scenario
    BMPG1 is a business process
BMPS1 is a business process step
REFH0 is  the top node of your structure
Unfortunately I didn't get the real structure hierarchy up to now to understand who is which parent or brother or child. Nevertheless you will have in the field TTREE-TEXT the description of the nodes in transaction SOLAR01.
    Best regards, Alexander

  • Wht r types of structures in ABAP

    Hi,
Wht r types of structures in ABAP. Answer rewarded.
    Regds.
    Balakri...

    Hi baddala,
Structures which either directly or in substructures contain only fields of types C, N, D or T.
The main characteristics of the different kinds of structures are:
Flat structures contain only fields of the elementary types C, N, D, T, F, I, P, and X, or structures containing these types.
Deep structures contain strings, internal tables and field or object references in addition to the elementary types.
Nested structures are structures that contain substructures as components.
Non-nested structures are structures that do not contain any substructures.

  • Repetitive Structures in PA custom Infotype

    Hi all,
I have created a Custom PA Infotype using PM01 transaction and it is working fine,
How ever now I want to add repetitive structure for the same(something like date specifications),
I went through many materials but none of them have helped,
So can anyone let me know how to add a repetitive structure to the custom infotype ?
    Thanks,

  • ESS WebDynpro Appilication with Repetitive structure

I am trying to develop an ESS Webdynpro application for Infotype P0585 (Section 80) P0591 (Nominee Details), both these infotypes have repetitive structure.
There is no screen structure or RFC's(For Read, Modify, Edit Operations) for these Infotypes.
We are using ECC 5.0 (Software Component: EA-HR(SAP R/3 Enterprise HR Extension) Support Package Level : 09 )
I understand that customising for repeat Structure can be done by making an entry in the tables T588AUTO_MAP, T588AUTO_TABLE     (Mapping for Conversion of Repeat Structure/Tables), but both these tables do not permit entry.
Any guidelines in developing Webdynpro application for services that use infotypes that have repetitive structure and implementing conversion class for the above infotype.

    Hi Sarath ,
I am also working on Infotypes P0585/6 .
There are some modifications to be done in the Output Table Conversion Method inside the CL_HRPA_UI_CONVERT class for IT0585/6. The screen structure's was not getting copied properly and the Object Key of the Line-Records were lost inside this method somewhere. These changes are been rectified now and will be working by the end of the week.
As for the Entry in the T588AUTO_TABLE , it has been done  for P0585/6 .

  • Directory structure for  ABAP+JAVA Dialog Instance

    Hello,
Can any one clarify how will be the directory structure in a case where we have ABAP+Java System?
    For Central Instance,DVEBMGS<instance no>
    Central Services,SCS<instance no+1>
    Ex:DVEBMGS20
    SCS21
If I have another dialog instance, can I have only ABAP or only Java in that? What will be the directory structure? But I read that they will be in 1:1 ratio
Will it be D22(Only ABAP) or J22(Java only).
As a dialog instance, can ABAP exist with out JAVA.
or can JAVA exist without ABAP
Please explain the directory structure with an example.

  • How to use structure in ABAP program

I developing a report in smartforms but i want some fields to be display on the report but unable to find the relvent table as the field is show in structure.i can not find the actual table . is there any specfic way to find the table .or is there any way to use the fields defind in structure in my ABAP program.

    Hi,
May be iam not clear with the question. But why you want to use structure. In report you can define your own structure, also you can declare your fields directly using standard datatypes.
    Hope this will help!!!

  • Is there any way to copy proxy filed structures to ABAP field structure?

    Hi All,
We are getting message from  XI using inbound proxy and sending response asynchronously by outbound proxy.
my question: " is there any way to copy or to move incoming proxy fields to ABAP backend fields?"
for ex: we are getting Name structure from proxy wit fields firstname and lastname.
and proxy will generate some structures for name. backend ABAP system will have structure name with two fields having fname and lname as data elements.
so how can we directly move proxy fields to ABAP fields? ( here in example there are only two fields but real scenario we will have thousands of fields for which we cannot map manually from proxy fields to ABAP fields.)
please help me in this regard.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ujwalkumar

    Hi Ujwalkumar,
if you have control over the proxy:
Create your interface at XI like the structure in backend system. Same structure and same fieldnames. If you regenerate your proxy you can use abap order "MOVE CORRESPONDING" to map all fields.

    Udo

  • Creation of package structure for ABAP proxy scenario

    Hi All,
I have a doubt on package structure used for ABAP proxy scenario. What is the specific reason to create a four level package structure? Can some one please explain? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sudheer.

    Hi Sudheer,
Can you pls clarify what do you mean by 'four level package structure' ?
Are you referring to the ABAP structures that get created during creating the proxy by SPROXY transaction ? These structures get automatically created. We simply have to write the code using these structures.
Or do you mean the 'package' which is mandatory to create a transportable ABAP object ? i.e. transport from Development to Staging and then Production.
