It may not be the same molded plug but I would think any normal 3-prong computer power cable should work.
    How about this one?
922-6529 Power Cord - Apple Cinema Display
I've always had the theory that if you put two computer power cords in a drawer they will breed and you'll end up with a lot more!   My parts drawer is always full of them.  They like to knot up by themselves as well!  Maybe that's how they breed.

  • How do I set up HP TouchSmart 600-1215xt with TV Tuner to Digital cable set top box?

I just purchased the HP TouchSmart 600-1215xt CTO Desktop PC with TV Tuner ATSC-NTSC w PVR & remote. I want to connect it to my  HDTV cable set top box (Cox Cable) so I can record TV programs from digital cable and stream NetFlix  video to my 52 in Samsung 1080p HDTV. Where can I find instructions for how to configure this set up?
    Thanks in advance!

There is HDMI input with TV tuner
To expand on my post above, the TV tuner does NOT have HDMI input. If you read the User Guide that came with the TouchSmart (p.7, 8), the TV tuner's input is actually an F-type coaxial -- you either use an antenna for an ATSC signal (over-the-air) or NTSC *analog* cable (which is become more rare all the time). You set it up using Windows Media Center, page 18 through to top half of page 22 document how to connect a set top box using various analog (composite or s-video) cables. You can not use component and you can not use HDMI.

can i replace my lighting cable becoz its sudenlly stop working i dnt know how this happend could you guys help me out if you can thanks …..

have you had this cable for a long time? if it is fairly new and comes directly from apple, take it into a apple store and they should replace if for free. if not then you can get them fairly cheap online from sites such as amazon and ebay. alternatively you could buy them from a local shop for similar prices. the prices of the cables usually range from £1 for lower quality ones, to £14 for high quality and speedy charging cables.
    Hope this Helps

  • Anyone use the Scosche IPAVHDO sneekPEEK II cable set?

I'm debating between using the AV adapter cable with a male-to-male VGA cable for my video-out on my iPad for presentations and some other stuff vs. the Scosche IPAVHDO sneekPEEK II cables set (it has component AND A/V cables going out) for presentations and displaying stuff from my iPad. I've found a number of applications that will work fine via the AV adapter cable and VGA cable attached, but there is no audio. Not a huge thing but audio would be nice to have. My experience with the VGA adapter and cable seems to be fairly decent using a computer monitor. But my goal is to attach a cable to a projector-many of which not only have VGA inputs but also A/V inputs-and to my 50" Panasonic Viera 1080p Plasma TV from time to time for stuff like slide shows, etc.
I was wondering if anyone here has been using the Scosche cable set and what they think of it. Especially vs. the VGA. The pricing is about the same between the two options so cost isn't an issue.

    Thanks for your attention.

  • Unable to replace existing default progam setting with group policy preference

I have a bunch of Windows 8.1 machines on a 2003 domain that we're managing using a 2012 server as a domain controller. I have an OU that contains all the machines and a GPO I've linked to the OU. In the policy, under User Configuration -> Preferences
-> Control Panel Settings -> Folder Options I've created various file type associations and set them to "replace" and have checked "Set as default". In the same policy I've also enabled loopback in merge mode, in order to have
the same associations apply independently of the logged in user.
After I do a gpupdate /force on a client machine, the file types that previously had no programs associated with them receive default program associations as defined in the GPO, however the file types that had existing associations are not getting their
associations replaced. The same is also true if I try to change the default program via GPO for one of the file types that initially had their first program association set via the same GPO. The only result is that the new program association appears as a
choice in the "open with" context menu, while the old default association remains intact.  I generated a report using modeling on the server and it shows the GPO as "applied" with no errors.
Any pointers as to what could be wrong and how one would go about fixing this? Thanks in advance.

You mentioned that you implemented loopback merge mode.  It's possible some of the settings being included in the merge are interfering with your new file associations.  Have you checked to see if there are any conflicting file
associations in other GPOs that may be applying?  If so, you may want to experiment with loopback
    replace mode.
Also check to see if any file associations are being set in the computer configuration settings, since you are attempting to set associations in the user configuration.  In a merge scenario the computer policy is processed after the user policy, and
has precedence if any of the settings conflict.

hi, i have an iPhone 5 and have had to replace the charger cable 3 times, its cost me a small fortune! i paid for applecare + for it, am i covered?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

  • How to replace the inverter cable? screen gone black in MacBook

    Hi
There is no apple service provider in my location. Can I replace the inverter cable without having to take the MacBook to an apple store? is it easy to do? and can I use any inverter cable? or does it have to be especially designed for Macbook?
I have a black Macbook. The screen used to go black sporadically, and now it has totally gone black, and I couldn't get it to work again.
    Any advice????
    Thank you

Your answer is most helpful and sincerely appreciated, Level 6
Looks like the cable in question being identical throughout "The Black Period".
Looking at it right now it seems easier to patch than waiting for a replacement.  Will report back if it wasn't.
Mine is a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 13-inch Mid 2007, heavily hacked.

  • How to replace an USB cable?

I am trying to replace an USB cable for my iPhone 4 online, but there are only 8 options and none of them is USB cable:
    Adapter, TTY, iPhone
    Cable, AV, Component
    Cable, AV, Composite
    Earphones with Remote and Mic-US/L.A./Europe/Asia
In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic
    Nike+ Shoe Sensor
Power Adapter w/ Plug, Ultra Compact, USB, iPhone/iPod-CAN
    Power Adapter, USB, iPhone/iPod, 45x45-CAN
There is the power adapter and the headphone, but I don't see an option for USB cable. Any idea?

    You can:
    Use online resources: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone
or visit an Apple Retail Store: http://www.apple.com/retail
or call 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466) (if you live in the U.S.)

  • Is the airport extreme just a replacment for your cable modem?

What exactly is the airport extreme? I been thinking about buying one but I want to know what does it exactly do. Is it a replacement for your cable modem that creates a wireless network?

No it is not a replacement for your cable modem. Airport Extreme allows you to access the Net wirelessly. Your cable modem gives you your broadband access to the Net, but you have to connect to it via an Ethernet cable (RJ45). If you own a Apple Laptop, like an MacBook you need a wireless connection. Apple’s Airport Extreme gives you this access. Also it comes with the latest wireless speed “n”, verses “g” and “b” before it. In fact it will do all three speeds.
I have a “b” speed desktop system that is connected via an Ethernet cable, and two laptops that use the new “n” speed and one laptop that is running under the “g” speed. The best part is that you can plug a printer or hard-drive via an USB cable and share it with other computers on you home network. Also it very easy to use. If you don’t have a Laptop there is not much use for this product.

  • Important Note to All Replace Your DSL Cable!

Hi all i have had my modem hacked for a while, I am about 700 and odd metres from the FTTC that serves my address the new firmware that i put on saw me gain 3MB on my download side.
I then started looking at what else i could do and replaced my DSL cable the flat one that goes from the socket to the modem and i got about 4MB out of that the DSL cable that i bought was just a CAT6 ethernet cable with 4 twisted pairs only two used which are separeted down the length of the cable. Still have to wait and see if it holds out but it looks promising, i'll see what the score is tomorrow. CAT6 Cable RJ11 to RJ11

DeanM what did you edit? I was asked a question hence the link to ebay where i got the cable from.
On another note what i was thinking about is would i gain anything by moving the modem down stairs next to the window where the phone cable comes into the house. Then run the Ethernet cable up stairs to a 5 port switcher then connect my two routers to it seen as VDSL is so susceptible to cable length
E-commerce links to third party websites aren't allowed I'm afraid. If you must link to another online shop, what I would do is list the full name of the product from the site which can then be stuck into a Google search.
I would also highly recommend keeping the OR modem as close to the master socket as possible. Once you have the incoming connection terminated it shouldn't really matter what length of cable you have behind it (up to 100m) as long as it's CAT5e/CAT6 quality.

  • Bookmarks have been replaced by an old set

After updating to FF 3.6.25 my bookmarks have been replaced with an old set with lots of my newest bookmarks missing.
I've gone through organize bookmarks, restore but the only date is 5th Jan which was when i downloaded the new FF. How do i get the old bookmarks back ?

Firefox 2.0.0.20 uses HTML backups and Firefox 3 and later versions use JSON backups, so you won't see the bookmarks-xx-xx-xxxx.html files from Firefox 2.0.0.20 if you try to restore bookmarks in Firefox 3.6.x.
In that case you need to import the HTML file.
Firefox 3+ versions will automatically rebuild the bookmarks from the bookmarks.html file in the profile folder if there is no places.sqlite file and if there are no JSON backups present in the bookmarkbackups folder that can be used to restore bookmarks.
