Replacing phone ruin 2 year phone ugrade?

My phone hasn't been charging. The charger port is all messed up. If i were to replace the phone since it's still under warranty would that mess with my 2 year phone upgrade? Would it make me wait another two years for an upgrade?

No.
However if you don't have extended warranty after the first year the phone warranty is up. You would have to pay for another phone to use until you can use your upgrade at 24 months.
You can put any like device on that line until your eligible for your phone subsidy.
Good Luck

how much is a replacement phone if phone is still under warranty?

It is free if there is a manufacturing defect and you are still within your 1 year limited warranty.
If it is accidental or liquid damage then you may be looking at a fee to get a replacement.
If you have AppleCare+ then you can use one of your 2 incidents and get a service of $49 plus applicable tax.
If you do not have AppleCare+ you would get a replacement as an Out of Warranty Service due to accidental damage. Now based on your country/region you could either get a replacement through postage or at an Apple Retail Store. Follow the link below for a pricing:
    http://www.apple.com/support/service/
    - select iphone
    - select your country
    - select warranty and service pricing
Choose the last option and it will give you a price based on your country and iPhone. Remember the cost shown includes a postage fee so look below the prices and how much the postage fee is as this would not be included in the cost if the replacement was done at a store.
    Hope this helps

  • Help! should i get my replacement phone exchange again? because there still has somebody's information left!

long story short, got my new iphone 5 on two weeks ago from radio shack, and got replacement from radio shack with same day due to overheat issue, and there cames a problem with battery drios with this replacement phone, because I don't know that radio shack got 30 days reuturn policy and they really gave me a hard time when exchange, so I went to apple store with two times and got my exchange, and I wasn't know the replacement phone was refurblished neither they told me, otherwise I definately won't change.
and I just found in setting-general-profile, there is somebody's profile in here , check the attachment, please note that this is after I restored with itunes and this information still in here.
I really don't know whether I should get exchange again? because they will still get me refurblished phone right?
    thanks for your help!

    Stop being so impatient.
If the device you received as a replacement from Apple has someone else's information they would not have allowed you to leave the store with it.  This would have been extremely obvious from the moment the device was powered up.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?  This all seems very suspicous.
Also, there is no such thing as a "new" iPhone5, they are no longer produced.  All iPhones come with a 1 year warranty... if the device is under warranty and the issue is covered, Apple will replace the device as many times as necessary until the warranty is expired.
It sounds more like the device was purchased as refurbished in which case there may be no warranty and everything may need to be addressed via RadioShack.

  • The replacement of a replaced phone on the ATT Next Plan - what should I do?

To try and make a long story short -  - Back in May 2014, I leased a Samsung Galaxy S5 on ATT Next.  It came with a 1 yr factory warranty.- The phone stopped charging in January 2015.- I immediately had this original phone replaced with a refurbished phone (my guess) under regular warranty at an ATT service center.  No extra charge to me.  This phone has a 90 day warranty (I did not clarify at that time).- The replacement phone's screen died this past July 2015 weekend (phone still works, it still picks up calls, but the screen will not light up as it would normally light up, it will slowly light up and the screen looks green and grainy).  This phone was NOT dropped, the screen has been maintained in excellent condition.- I immediately went back to the ATT service center.  I wanted to replace this replacement phone but was told that the warranty was only for 90 days (past since January 2015).  Now I do not have a phone to use...or to trade in at the end of the ATT Next plan. Am I screwed (seems like it)?  None of these were accidental damages where I dropped it or damaged it.  I read on the forums that I would need to trade in a replacement phone in working condition in order to avoid paying the rest of the installment plan (in my case, I'm paying for a replacement phone that doesn't work anymore). I plan to go in to a service center nearby to see what my options are, but hopefully someone here may have a reasonable solution!

Original phone had warranty for 1 year until May 2015. Replacement phone had 90 days or until original phone warranty, so you would have warranty until May 2015. After that, you will need to pay for the phone replacement. That is one of the reasons that AT&T offers insurance throught Asurion. Some phones just don't last the time until NEXT replacement is available.

  • What sort of phone are the Apple Store replacement phones?

When I originally got my iPhone 4 a few years ago, I had a pixel die on two, and I took them to the Apple Store; they replaced them (for free) with phones that were wrapped in the plastic protectors, but in a box wholly different from the actual iPhone 4 box. Maybe it was my imagination, but both my replacement phones seemed... loose or rattle-ey, if you will, though they worked just fine and looked new, nevertheless. Anyway, jumpy to today: I got my iPhone 6 in the mail but it had a scratch on the screen. I took it to the Apple Store and they replaced it, yet again, with a phone in the normal plastic protective sleeve and in a box not like the one the phone comes in. Maybe I'm crazy, but this one rattles too. I can't put my hand on it, but the replacement phone's feel different than the phones that came right out of a factory sealed box.
Does anyone know where the replacement phones come from? Are they refurbished phones? Or are they separately shipped new phones held in-stock just for replacements? I'm curious to know.

Oh yeah, I know. When I bought my MacBook it was a refurbished from the site, and it was absolutely perfect---same as my Apple TV... it came flawless... looked new! But every "replacement" phone I've gotten from an Apple Store, rattles and seems... "rebuilt", if you will. I realize a refurbished is rebuilt, but this phone doesn't have the feel or quality of a real new phone. It's not solid. It feels like something someone lazily repaired it at another tech store. I guess I'll go back up there tomorrow...

  • Apple does not warranty replacement phones!?

So I got my phone wet, and went to the apple store and paid for a replacement. The refurb had issues from day one with the power button, it stopped working in about a weeks time. I tried several time to get in but I have not been able to wait, with my schedule I dont have time to sit around for hours.  I finally got in today, after waiting long past my appointment time and now they say it is out of warranty, and they list my original purchase of the phone as when the warranty started, and apparently dont warranty the replacement phone at all. I can believe Apple will not warranty replacement phones at all, that is just poor business.

So, one of out 20 devices has an issue... and that's enough reason for you to say, "I'm switching!"?
Um, okay.  Good luck with that.
A replacement iPhone from Apple has a 90 day coverage.  Apple Support or an Apple Store should be able to see the date of device replacement, even without a receipt.  Talk to them again.  Ask for a Manager or Senior Advisor.

  • 5 replacement phones...

I have the iPhone 5, my girlfriend has the 4s, we have both had multiple issues that verizon claims to "resolve". I am on my 5th replacement phone and guess what? It's trash. Poorly put together and junk. My original phone had battery issues, I went into a store and they started the replacement process, 2 days later I get a phone that the front camera was not installed properly, battery was terrible, shut off ramdomly, and couldn't type. They send me a 2nd replacement, battery is awful and they cosmetics of the phone backing were literally coming apart, 3rd replacement same issue. The 4th had a bad power/sleep button, and the 5th... Battery is so bad that it needs to stay plugged in all day, nobody can here me on calls, I need to use Bluetooth in order for the recieving line to hear me. This is beyond aggravating! My girlfriends 4s has the same battery issues (this is her 3rd one) and It force closes apps constantly. My girlfriend and I both use our phones for work. Something needs to be resolved. I love apple, but verizon has ruined that for me. Has anyone else had these issues?! I need a phone that's not going to be poorly put together. Why did I originally pay for a new phone, but keep getting trashy refurbished phones? Gotta go, had 50% battery when I started typing this and now I'm at 2%...

Sadly they all come from Apple. Try going to an Apple Store. You don't have to go through Verizon to get your phone fixed.

  • Replacment phone

if i get a replacment phone will i get  a years Warranty on it ??????

Apple will continue to honor the time left on the original Warranty. If it is less than 90 days, they will give you 90 days Warranty. When you receive the replacement, ask about the possibility of Apple Care.

  • Replacement phones NOT from Assurion

I got the Incredible the day it released on Verizon. I never had any real trouble with it until 2 weeks ago when the screen stopped working. I called CS and they sent out a replacement device using my extended warranty, NOT my TEC with Assurion.
5 replacements were sent to me all with the same issue of power cycling, turning off for no reason, going through a factory reset without my knowledge (it happened while I was sleeping). To Verizons credit the CS reps really did try to help me. Finally I was given the option to upgrade to the Incredible 2. It arrived yesterday and after 2 hours on the phone with CS it was determined I would have to have another Incredible 2 sent to me. I recieved it today, same issue. The phone cannot be activated. 7 phones, all defective. Is this a common problem?
I'm furious and because Verizon is the bohemoth they are I can't get any real help. I need a working phone. 13 days without a working phone is unacceptable. And the only solution is to make me wait for another "certified" phone? Bullsh*t.

I really do understand your problem.  I had had the Palm Pre Plus, and it was a great phone when it worked.  But I went through 5 replacement phones.  Was going to to my 6th replacement when reviewing my notes.  Found that they had started that they would send out a replacement phone of my choice.  It would be a refub phone.  Choose the Droid Pro.  I received it quickly, but didn't receive the battery for it until a couple of days later.  By then the keyboard had stopped working on the pro.  Got another replacement for the Pro.  So far so good.
In your case am not sure of the Incredible is a refub phone or not.  But I know that the Droid X's work wonderful.  My daughter has had hers for over a year, and the only thing every went wrong was the battery dying.  That is another story on getting that replacement.   But you should try the Droid X.
    Good luck.  I again understand.

  • Replacement phone

So i just recently had a problem with my iphone4 and its almost a year old. I am being sent a replacement phone and the guy told me the phone will be new because they dont do refurbised phones only at&t and verizon does. After looking up some stuff on this issue it says apple does do refurbished phones. I am confused, i do not want to be sent a old phone i want a brand new phone like i was told considering my phone was in good condition...

What you want really does not matter.
Your phone that is being replaced is not new, per your own posting it was almost a year old.  Nothing in the warranty entitles the end user to a new phone as a warranty replacement.

Slide up from the bottom of your display to access the control panel.
Look for the button (should be at the top) that shows a crescent moon.
Tap that button. It should say "Do not Disturb: Off".
Then try it out and let us know if it worked.

  • I have an issue with my iphone touch screen not responding, apple replaced phone and still having same issue. They say its software, what can I do I need my phone to work

Touch screen on Iphone slowly, over a few days stopped responding. Went to Genius Bar and was given a new 3GS because they didn't know how to fix the issue. Cool. Went home synced with Macbook Pro (new-12/2010), two days later same issue. This time when I went to Genius Bar they restored the phone to factory settings and instructed me to load as a new phone in Itunes instead of restoring information of the previous phone, which is an option good for when your replacing phone not fixing one Anywho, did everything they told me to do. SAME ISSUE A FEW DAYS LATER. This time I was told the software issue is with my Macbook and I thought this made sense, so I took it in along with the phone. That was yesterday. Phone working intermittently since leaving Apple. I was given instructions that if their "daily" fix didn't work to erase hard-drive and reinstall software that came with the macbook and start fresh. This would definately fix the issue. Extreme yes, but I need use of my phone, especially since we got rid of the house phone and all use cell phones. So last night I did the required erase of hard-drive and re-loaded all software that came with it and Microsoft Office for Mac. Plugged in the phone to set up in itunes and thought that was it. My phone is still not working. Can't answer when I try, can't make calls, etc. What the heck do I do? I'm starting to feel like a major lamo having to keep going back to Genius Bar, but I know enough to know these issues should have been resolved with the steps I've taken. I even went as far as to restore through my husbands computer and same thing. Could there be a problem with Itunes? Could the magnetic stripe in my debit card be hurting the device somehow, although that's a long shot since I have had the same or similar case since getting the phone. Frustrated beyond belief. Apple support not open at this hour so I'm trying my luck here.....
    Thanks for any input.

  • My iphone 4s is cracked at the bottom of the screen and it's in black, if i get a replacement phone for it can i get it in white instead?

I have a black iphone 4s and it's cracked/chipped at the right corner of the screen. The damage isn't too bad, but it's still not perfect in any way. I have apple care on it and I was wondering that if I was going to get a replacement phone for it and pay 50$ can i get the white iphone 4s instead?

If you want the iPhone in a different color, you can buy one at full retail price.  The $299 price is subsidized from your carrier and you will be very unlikely to qualify for another subsidized device.

I just got my replacement phone from Warranty. The phone was on for just 2 hours and it crashed. I was told that motorola knows about this "possible" issue. I got a new sim, hard reset, If it can be done I did it. They are now sending me the same phone again. Number 3. I would hope this one doesn't crash but I rather have a different phone so I can enjoy using my account. The phone's most recent error was today. " Unfortunately, the process com.motorola.widget.circlewidget3d" has stopped. At least the error message works and it's polite. I told tech this and they could not answer my question or help me other then "let's do a hard reset" My warranty replacement is coming on Monday. Let's hope this one works. Anyone else havinbg the same problem. it says "such and such as stop working" on all sorts of stuff! Help! I want my iPhone Back!

I just did a google search on this issue. OMG, I got a ton of videos on this or similar issues. Each one says in some way to clear the cache, reset the data, etc. Why in the world would this continue to happen and they not do a fix that resloves this without having to lose or stop what your doing. This is a very long and constant issue it seems with Android phones as there must have been pages and pages of what I now call "Unfortunately"  So I am going to pray that Verizon helps me  out and gets me away from this issue and helps me go back to iPhone or try the Samsung.

  • My galaxy s5 has a blank screen. How do I transfer content to the replacement phone if I can't use the one with the blank screen?

The screen on my Galaxy S5 suddenly went blank. I can still hear when I have a message and a call, but the screen will not turn on. I am getting a replacement phone today, but how do I transfer content when I can't see anything on my old phone, so I can't use it to go into the different settings?

  • Replacement phone has iOS 7.2 backup from old phone is in iOS 7.1 it will not allow me to restore replacement phone to backup, anyway around this?

Replacement phone has iOS 7.2 installed backup was created in ios 7.1 anyway to restore replacement phone with my backup files? I tried updating the software on the broken phone but it says it is up to date.

You must mean that the replacement iPhone has iOS 7.0.2 since there is no 7.2 version, 7.1 is the current version.  If your backup was created with iOS 7.1 it will not restore to an iOS 7.0.2 iPhone.  If the iPhone will not update to 7.1 for you, take it back to the Apple store and have the genius bar staff update it so you can restore your backup.
