Replicating ECC Data to CRM 2007 server

I want to replicate ISU specific data from ECC server to crm 2007 server. Can you suggest any possible ways to do so.

Technical master data does not exist in CRM.
You need to replicate this data into the POD in CRM.
However you might want to:
Convince your client it's not a good idea to duplicate everything to CRM, there's a reason why they are two systems
Investigate the possibilities of custom replication objects (I'm not an expert on that, but from what i've heard it's not easy to get working)
Look into the possibility of using RFC calls to access the data directly in ISU from CRM, instead of replicating it.

Installation problem in CRM 2007 Server

Hi All,
Installation of CRM 2007 IDES giving the trouble at importABAP phase. The installation is going on Windows 2003 server 64 bit, on Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 and J2SDK-1.4.2_17..
It finished 17 steps out of 19, 1 failed and 1 is waiting..
I done some changes, still it is directly going to the failed step(old installation). How can i start from 16th phase of importABAP.
Otherwise is there any way to solve this, I tried from <SID>adm account also still it is giving the problem..

Extract data from CRM 2007 (CRM 6.0)

When BW-ekstraktion, g.e. 0BPARTNER_ATTR, we will get infopackage error:
8 when starting the extraction program
The problem is in SAP CRM 2007. This system has been setup as (transaction kode CRMC_REPO_OPT) "BP BI AND INTERACTIVE REPORTING" as activeted.
In Transaction kode SBIW "Control parameters for data transfer from the souce system" the field "Target system for background job" has value CRMCLNT150 (BW INTERACTIVE REPORTING client in the CRM 2007 system). This is done for getting the CRM 2007 "CRM Interactive Reporting" to work.
"Target system for background job" must be empty (Note 147104) else can't SAP BW get any data.
We need to get both "CRM Interactive Reporting" and BW data loads to work. Has any one got "luck" with data load to BI 7.0 and CRM INTERACTIVE REPORTING (CRM 2007) running at the same time ?

Why do you need to copy it? The data is easily available from R/3 via RFC.

ECC Data into CRM

I would like some recommendations with regards to the following requirement:
The requirement is to use quite a bit or Real Estate data in the CRM system. The ECC system is separate from the CRM system. One could use an RFC to constantly get the data from ECC but this will happen too often. We've decided that we would duplicate the data in CRM. In order to do this most of the RE tables have to be created in CRM and then the data has to be copied across. Has anyone done anything like this? What is the best way to go about duplicating tables and data from ECC to CRM?

I was thinking about doing this and wonder whether this has been done by anyone and are there any drawbacks? How would these tables be populated with the data? Will I have to write my own programs to copy the data across?
I basically want to copy these tables across and then on a nightly basis all updated records as well.

Dowloding product attributes / set type to Master Data in CRM 2007

We have created set-type and attribute in txn:COMM_ATTRSET.
Created set-type and assign attributes to them,you need to assign set-type to categories in txn:COMM_HIERARCHY by selecting the category.
And then you assign category to a product and hence your set-types are available to that product.
We are maintianing Attribute for COMPETITOR PRODUCT ( MAT_ZCPT as Category Hierarchy ). All Attributes are assigned to Competitor Product and Relationship is maintained with company Product .
What BApi or BAdi shgould be used .
When we are implementing BDC , SAP says from CRM 2007 they are not supporting GUI . Use existing BApi .
But we want to download more than 5000 Products . Please guide .

How to retrieve ECC data to CRM pdf factsheet ?

I need to customize the CRM pdf factsheet with data from R3.
I know how to change the smartform that is behind the PDF factsheet, but I do not know how to retrieve additional data that comes from R3 ...
What is the best way to do this ? I read about RFC call, but can someone give me a clear example on how to do this please ?

Hi,
To do a RFC call to read the data from R3 into CRM, create a Function module in R3 which takes some inputs and retrives the data from R3 and make it as 'Remote-enabled module' in Attributes tab of function module.
Call this function module in CRM (in your case in smartforms) by specifying R3 destination
Call function '<R3 function module>'
     destination <ERP log sys>
ERP destination can be read using the function module
call function 'SMOF_READ_SMOFERPSH'
     exporting
       i_sitetypeid = 'SMOF_ERPSITE'
     tables

RFC is to be created in ECC that should fetch the data from CRM

I am facing with a problem in knowing the fields and table to develop an RFC in ABAP.
My exact requirement is :
ABAP : the field PERNR is passed as exporting parameter to RFC and imporitng paramter is an internal table that consists of   PERNR and overpayment status field.

if you want to fetch ecc data to crm you have to create one rfc enabled function module in ecc use that function module in crm.

ECC quotation creation through CRM 2007

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to created ECC quotation in CRM 2007. The RFC integration between ECC and CRM has been done.
Once the opportunity is created, then follow up document is created (ECC quotation).At the time of creation of ECC quotation through CRM, i am not able to fill the GROSS WEIGHT and NET WEIGHT in shipping tab of quotation. I am getting getting incompletion log for the same.

Hi ,
The only possible solution that i can see here is to create your own FM in ECC and call the standard report fom there and store the values in the tables parameter in the FM.
FM should be RFC one but of course.
I dont know whether you would have auth. to do any development in ECC or not.
Else if any exit is there in that Report then you can SET parameter from there and retrieve the value by GET parameter here in CRM.
I have never tried like this but hope it would work.

Pls let me know one thing abt CRM 2007: Can we do all transactions ( T-Code ) on SAP Easy Access CRM menu or just some on the menu and the others on web?
To make u understand clearly abt my situations: I have one IDES CRM 2007 server but the SAP CRM menu dont have enough transactions even though the basic team gave me full authorization.

The list of business roles for CRM 2007 can found in the IMG under:
CRM->Business Roles->Define Business Role
For Marketing the standard role delivered is: MARKETINGPRO
Other common roles:
SALESPRO - sales
SERVICEPRO - service
TPM_PRO - trade promotion management
IC_AGENT - interaction center agent
IC_MANAGER- interacation center manager
Those roles cover almost all the standard non-industry specific functionality of CRM 2007.

CRM 2007 with CRM Mobile Infrastructure

We are building a Prototype (Non Production) CRM 2007 with CRM Mobile Infrastructure as an internal project.
Question 1: I wanted to ask, as it is stated that Commstation cannot run on64 Bit Hardware/64 Bit OS hardware and it is not supported by SAP. I was checking the CRM Mobile Installation Guide

and wanted to confirm if there is a possibility of us using one server instance to install the Mobile Repository Server, Mobile Development Workstation, Communication Station (CommStation) all
in one box??
Q2: Secondly, if we were only using mobile infrastructure for CRM scenarios Field Account and Contact Management, Field OpportunityManagement,
and possibly Quotation Management (not the Order Management) will we still need to install a Workgroup Server/Workgroup Client??
Is it also possible to install Mobile Repository Server, Mobile Development Workstation, Communication Station (CommStation) on the actual CRM 2007 server we currently have??
Q3: Can we realize the CRM Mobile scenarios with just three servers?
1 CRM 2007 Server (existing server already deployed with CRM 2007)
1 SAP CRM Mobile Server

Hi James,
It is possible to install Comm Station\Repository and MDW on the one machine.
The repository server contains only the db and some tools
But not recommended by SAP.
The prerequisites are that the Development Workstation is installed on a separate machine from teh repository server.
But as you can see in the installation guide, it is possible to install a local repository.
However its recommended to have one central repository and have a dev workstation connect to it.
If you have several developers accessing the same central machine, it would cause problems. Its recommended to have the MAS application
installed on their local machine connecting to the repository.
I would also keep the mobile scenario separate from CRM Online. As you have stated below, the 3 servers would be enough.
You dont need to have the Workgroup for the CRM scenarios you have mentioned.

I dont think you need any Middleware adaptor objects for CRM Request download .
You need to create a request in CRM using R3AR2 . Here you need to provide the R/3 table name and field name to download the service document along with Document ID
You can monitor your request download in txn R3AR4.
But as MCG rightly told , you should have done all requried customized settigns before downloading service documents .

Vendor Number Range Conflict SAP ECC and CRM 2007

I need to load SAP ECC Vendor data from SAP to CRM and have setup most of the configuration as required. However I have an issue, the vendor number range used currently in our SAP system is already in use in our CRM system and has been for some time (for Prospects and Contacts). What is the best approach to dealing with this issue...
My initial thought was to see if we could have two different numbers for the same vendor in ECC and SAP CRM
eg SAP Vendor "50000001" equates to CRM "VEN50000001"
Is such as approach supported? Can you point me to the documentation that shows how such an approach could be implemented. What approaches have others done to address similar issues?

change it according to your own requirements. The example code
suffixes 'VEND' before the first six digits of the vendor

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the 'Upload.aspx' page was missing or corrupted from many document libraries after migration to 2010 from 2007.
Per my knowleadge, the upgrade process sets the SPWeb.CustomUploadPage property for upgraded sites to a custom upload page titled
uploadex.aspx, as opposed to upload.aspx which is the default page for file uploads. And this custom upload page contains the “Destination Folder” field.
To removes the custom upload page (uploadex.aspx) from SPWeb, and reverts back to the default upload page (upload.aspx), we can use PowerShell script to loop through all Web sites that are contained within the site collection, including the top-level site
and its subsites, and checks to see if the SPWeb.CustomUploadPage property is not equal to blank. If true, then it sets the SPWeb.CustomUploadPage property to blank.

CRM 2007 - Real Time Quotations from ECC 6.0

Hi Gurus
We want to be able to generate Quotations in our CRM 2007 system.
The Master Data is maintained in ECC 6.0 for the products we wish to Quote on.
I think the terminology we're looking for is a real time quotation capability where by we pulled the required values from ECC 6.0 at the time of the quotation.
Is this possible?
What are the general steps required to do this?
We want to avoid delta loads of data from ECC 6.0 into CRM if this is at all possible.
Is this the right approach or should we consider Delta Loads?
