Replicating "Services" into SRM through XI

Hello everyone,
We have an existing interface in XI that replicates "Products (Items)" from Oracle into SRM. We would like to extend this to include "Services" as well.
Is this possible using the interface "ProductSetIn" (which is what is currently working with Items), or should another be used? If so, which one?
If ProductSetIn can be used, what value should the field ProductTypeCode have?
Currently, it has the value "01" for Items.

ProductTypeCode should be '02' and categories in XML should match SRM categories.

Issue while replicating materials into SRM

Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 5.0 Extended Classic Scenario. I was able to replicate material groups successfully but when i try to replicate Materials, the Queue ends up in a SYS_FAIL error. i tried deleting all the previous queues and tried many ways but still not able to understand what is going wrong. I checked the SMW01 for any error BDOC messages but i cant find anything.
Any suggestions or thoughts as to what i need to check ? Will award points .

Determination of Source for services in SRM rel 4.0

Hi
We have requirement to have list of vendors determine automatically in shopping carts for services.
In this release 4.0 if you have contracts in R/3 this determining of vendors works for non-service/material items but not for service.
I log a call with OSS and they say this is not included in SRM4.0 due to different backend structure for services.
If we don't upgrade to SRM 5.0, how could we get SRM to give users list of vendors which have contracts for selected shopping cart services in R/3?

Hi Zuzanna Breda,
You can replicate your contract created in the backend R/3 system as a Vendor list.
If you click on Source of Supply and go into preffered vendor you will be able to see the option vendor list over there which is nothing but the contract and the items.
You can create vendor list in the SRM system or can replicate the contracts for services/material as a vendorlist.
You can also define an output type for the contracts so that any changes or while creating a new contract in the backend system it gets automatically replicated into SRM
There are standard function modules to create the vendor list.

How to add ITS Service into ESS HomePage?

I have a requirement to add an ITS Service(say BWSP) to the existing ESS HomePage.
I know how to create a new homepage and would like to know what to provide in the resources or services section for creating a new service.
Can anyone let me step by step on how to integrate a ITS Service into the HomePage.
Any help will be appreciated and suitably rewarded.

(1) create ITS service iView in the portal
(2) add iView to your role (either first to a page and then a workset or what not, but so that it is in your role).
(3) Viewing the ROLE in the PCD content editor, choose your iView/Page that you add and note it's PCD path (again THROUGH THE ROLE)
(4) on the backend, create a resource and assign it's PCD path to the path your noted above (look at other homepage resources for example of the syntax "ROLE://portal content/...."
(5) create a homepage service and assign your resource to your service.
(6) create a new subarea or assign your service to an existing subarea.
(7) if you created a new subarea, you will need to assign this to an Area. Likewise, if the Area is new, you will need to assign it to a Area Group.
That should do it! Make sure you changes are in the correct client, refresh the portal cache, and viola....you should see your new ITS service. Easy peezy. (haha)

Creating PO in SRM through external interface

Is there a way to create a PO in SRM through an external interface without creating a shopping cart? I see that we can create a shopping cart through BBP_PD_SC_CREATE_EXTERNAL. But we need to create a PO in the SRM system without the shopping cart. Is this possible? It's neither the classic nor extended classic nor the standalone SRM scenarios that all have the shopping cart generate the PO. Is there a way to create the PO without the shopping cart? Is there a BAPI to do this?
Right now, we generate an XI ABAP server proxy which allows us to push the PO information from an external system through XI into SRM, but we do not know what SRM function we need to invoke.
Any help would be appreciated.

I can give you the technical example of how to create a PO. You can get the sample logic of creating PO's from the program MBT_PO_MASS_CREATE.

the SIGN IN TO ICLOUD DIALOG BOX reappears after I enter my password. Additionally, icloud is not downloaded on to my computer. Why isn't icloud accepting my password ? How do I resolve this issue?

My first thought was (my iphone does not have wifi connection) to connect to
wifi because the user login is not connecting permitting login to be
accepted. I selected cancel to bypass the dialog box asking for user
Login password to icloud in order to remove it from the home
screen.    I attempt to go to wifi settings. The dialog
box will re- appear preventing from SELECTING wifi settings because
the dialog box does not give enough time to remove itself from main
screen in order to change wifi settings in which to allow wifi.
Additionally, my thought it is the correct Login password being enter
because when online at the icoud login page asking for username and password,
both are accepted and allow access.
Also, one thought to the issue, after opening iTunes it has stated that my
icloud session has expired. My intentions at this moment are
not to purchase a subscription to icloud at this time. Although i
would like to access the account later on, if there wouldn't
be conditional problems with iclouds at a later point in time, then there
would not be any concerns deleting the icloud account in order to remove the
icloud dialog box. However, i would consider deleting acct as a last
step.
AS I TROUBLESHOOT THE ISSUE

WIFI IS NEEDED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.YOU MUST BE QUICK TO BYPASS THE DIALOG BOX AND ATTEMPT TO SELECT THE WIFI CONNECTION IN ORDER TO PROCEED TO RESOLVE I-CLOUD ISSUE WITH DIALOG BOX RE-APPEARING.
ADDITIONALLY, I SELECTED TO DELETE THE ACCOUNT. JUST BEFORE I CHANGED SETTINGS AND CONNECTED WITH WIFI.

ADDITIONALLY , ON MY IPHONE 4S, I WENT TO SETTINGS MENU AND SAW THAT MY DATA WAS NOT ON!!

   I MYSELF, UNSURE OF THE OUTCOMES CHOSE NIETHER. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY RESPONSE UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE OF MERGING OR NOT MERGING ICLOUD ACCOUNT AND WAS IT A RESULT OF DELETEING THE OLD ICLOUD ACCOUNT.
THE DIALOG BOX REMOVED ITSELF FROM THE MAIN SCREEN AND FROM MY UNDERSTAND ACCEPTED THE USERNAME PASSWORD WHEN I LOGGED IN AND UPDATED THE FILE, AS A RESULT FROM THE START, WAS CHANGED DUE TO FORGETTIG THE OLD PASSWORD.
AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING MYSELF, I LEARNED THAT YOU NEED WIFI   IN ORDER FOR THE CONNECTION TO GO THROUGH IN WHICH IS NEED FOR THE DEVICE TO COMMUNICATE. AND YOUR DATA ON YOUR PHONE SETTING SHOULD BE ON IN ORDER TO ALLOW WIFI CONNECTION TO BE ENABLED.
IF MY UNDERSTANDING IS CORRECT, THOSE CHANGES SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN WHICH TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE OF THE DIALOG BOX FROM RE-APPEARING ON THE MAIN SCREEN.
I WISH THERE WAS MORE HELP INVOLVED IN RESOLVING THESE TECHNICAL ISSUES. I AM SERVING IN THE MILITARY OVERSEAS AND AS CALLED FOR TECHNICAL HELP, I WAS USING A PHONE CARD WITH A LIMITED AMOUNT OF MINUTES. Creating shopping cart in SRM through an interface from an external system

Hello,
i am currenlty working on a SRM implementation at a client and we are looking into
building an interface for purchase requisitions from an external system to SAP.
To be able to get these requisitions as a package approved I would want them to go though the
approval process in SRM. Does anybody know if it is possible to create a shopping cart in SRM through an interface from another system?

SRM has a standard business scenario of PDP PM
here the external requirements are transferred to SRM for sourcing
in normal business scenario ECC PR is transferred to SRM which creates a dummy SC or say sourcing SC in SRM which appears in Purchaser's worklist after correct settings
SRM can work with NON SAP system also
so logically yr requirement should be possible
but in ECC PR transfer case the SC created in SRM is already apparoved.

How to attach pdf data into SRM ?

we have a report which sends out a smartform purchaseorder as a pdf to a vendor by email.
Now the requirement is to connect the sent pdf into srm in order to be visible for checking the billing.
it is easy to attach an external file into srm but now I already have alle the data available in sap after sending the pdf as attachment in the mail.
is it also possible to directly transfer this data directly into srm with for instance BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE ??
or is another step in between necessary ?

Embed iCal into iWeb through HTML snippet after Lion OSX update

How do I embed my published iCal calendar into iWeb through an HTML snippet AFTER the Lion OSX update last month? I use iWeb to create my classroom website but it no longer has my interactive calendar for my students. Help!

I am curious about this too, does anyone know how to embed a Lion iCal Calendar into iWeb?
I found an old walkthrough of how to do it, but on the published site it just opens ical and offers a subscription, you cannot actually see the calendar on the web page it is embedded on.

Get xml data from a web service into Forms?

Hello folks! I am reading active directory info from a web service into forms via imported java classes. I can read from functions that return strings just fine, but I have to get the output from getGroupUsers which returns an XmlDataDocument. How do I read this in and parse it in Forms?
I will be grateful if y'all could point me to an example.

Since you are already dealing with server-side JAVA, I would suggest you create a method that would do the parsing server-side and what your PL/SQL will be dealing with is just the return string.
Here is a method I use to read an XML file (actually, it is an Oracle Reports file converted to XML) and from the string version, I will do search, replace and other things.
So, from getGroupUsers which returns an XmlDataDocument, you can adapt this method to get your data server-side and let the form module read the output data.

Unable to Change Withholding Tax Base Amount while creating Service AP Invoice through DI API?

Dear All,
I am trying to create Service AP Invoice through DI API.
If I post the document without changing SAPPurchaseInvoice.WithholdingTaxData.TaxableAmount the dount ocument is created in SAP without any problem.
But if I change amount in above field then DI API throws error Unbalanced Transaction.
If I post same document in SAP with changed base amount it got posted in SAP without any Issue.
Where I am doing wrong?
please guide.

Error - In deploying the web services into axis

Hello,
I am working on deploying a webservices into axis. I have an deploy.wsdd file and I have an ant script (build.xml) for deploying that web service into axis (axis is in tomcat). After deploying I can see the services
[http://localhost:8080/axis/servlet/AxisServlet] at this link. But when I run my web project which uses the deployed service, I am getting an InstatiationException as shown below.
