Replicating the workitem to another user

Hi All,
I need to make a copy of the existing workitem and forward to another user. In my workflow, a user decision is displayed which consists of 5 different tabs. On Clicking one of the tab, workflow initiater needs to select user from displayed pop up. On Clicking the Username, it should forward the workitem and as well keep the workitem in inbox.
I used FM: SWW_WI_FORWARD in my business object.
with following parameters:
1. WI_ID = Current Workitem id imported from Task
2. NEW_AGENTS:
OTYPE | OBJID
US | User selected
US | SY-UNAME
Then following message is occured:
Status change from READY to COMMITTED is not allowed/possible
But If i execute through se37 it is perfectly working.
or if i set breakpoint in the funtional module and click on forward in business workplace also it is working.
Do I need to change the method attributes?
Please help me with this..

you can use a LOOP step to send your WI.
include your WI step inside the LOOP step. Make sure to exit from the LOOP based on some condition depending on your requirement.
store your agent name as a record in an internal table. so initially the internal table will have only one record.
then your WI must be having 5 different outcomes based on the 5 buttons in it.
when the user clicks on the button to forward the WI, he will enter the user id of the new user. store this id in a WF container.
then in the appropriate outcome of your WI, add a container operation which will append the new user id to your agents list internal table.
the control will loop back and a new WI will be sent to both the users.
P.S. - the solution might not be ideal for your case. you will need to first understand the business requirement in more detail. also, you need to find out the process that needs to be followed for each outcome.

How can I protect a PDF file to where when I am editing the file and another user opens the file, it is only a read-only file?

I work for an auditing firm and we have recently gone paperless with our audit documentation. We have our files saved on a server and multiple people can access the same file at one time. We noticed that Acrobat does not give an message notifying a user that someone else is in that file, nor does Acrobat make that PDF file a read only file when someone else is in it editing the document. Is there a way to notify someone that another user is in the same PDF file? Or is there a way to make a PDF read only when someone else is working with the document?

You can restrict editing of a pdf by setting the password, such that anyone who wants to edit the pdf would need to input that password. This would make the pdf a read-only file.

I am using excel to add hyperlinks to other documents. When I email the spreadsheet to another user the hyperlinks are lost "cannot open the file" error comes up. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions on how to retain hyperlinks in a workbook after emailing to another user. The links to external documents were lost. However the links to other sheets within the book were retained.

Probably some form of corruption. If you already tried JetComp (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295334) try copying objects to a new empty db. Chances are they all copy except for one. Of course you could
go back to a backup as well, perhaps just to retrieve that failing object.

You can create a new shared iCloud account as your primary iCloud account in Settings>iCloud, which you can use for backups, photo stream, Find My iPad and for syncing bookmarks and documents & data. Then set up your two personal iCloud accounts as secondary accounts by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>tap Add Account>iCloud, and entering your separate iCloud account IDs. Use thes secondary accounts to sync Mail & Notes, Contacts and Calendars. This will allow you to keep your data in you secondary accounts separated rather than merged (although you will still be able to view each other's data on the shared iPad). How to change the schema to another user ?

I've registerd this schema and it works well,
but I need to change the schema to connect to another User like MYUSER_2.
because I have to migrate the MYUSER_1 to MYUSER_2 and then to delete MYUSER_1
when I register the schema again with this user MYUSER_2
, all xml-entries will become destroyed ?
what can I do ?
it's better , to register the schema without a user ?

If 2 seperate users need to work witht the same XML Schema then the XML Schema should be registered as a global Schema. If you want to change the owner of an XMLschema, just like if you want to change the owner of a relational; table you will have to export the data and import it again.

Forwarding the workitem for multiple users

Hi All ,
I need to forward a workitem which is ready in ready status to multiple users , but I am not sure how is that possible.
1.I tried doing it with SWW_WI_FORWARD but it throws error that WI in ready status cannot be forwarded. how to achieve this
Moreover I have learned that by doing some settings in my SBWP would allow me to forward the work item from workflow administrator ,
2.the seting is goto sbwp->settings->workflow settings->personal settings->enable forwarding to multiple users , but i am not sure how it would enable me to do it,
please anyone can throw some light on the above two queries.

Hi,
Go to transaction SWIA, put the workitem id, execute. then select the row and press Administrator Forward button(Shift+F12). before the button press, double click on the row and go to menu settings, click on Personal workflow setting, check the check box "Enable Forwarding of workitems to several users".
After pressing the Administrator Forward button(Shift+F12) button, Choose Agent pop up will come. Press the F4 button at Choose Agent pop up. Then Value range pop up will come. go to Users by Address data tab. Then press multiple selection button at the Users field. then put all the agents you need to forward and execute.

Why does my bookmark page show the bookmarks of another user on my system?

My family has an iMac 21.5 with 10.8.5 OS. My wife and I both have user ID's set up. Recently, her bookmarks began showing up on my side. As far as I know, nothing has changed in our preferences, but a service update was recently performed and several things seem to have changed on the way I had my Safari set-up. For instance when I opened Safari, instead of showing my home page it would show the Top Sites page. And the bookmarks thing. Any suggestions?

Not positive here but it almost sounds like your sign in was up and your wife used the computer and clicked on different sites that showed up on your sign in, Truth be told it was an accident that both you and her were unaware of. This is the reason that we have one sign in that we both use and when it gets cluttered I simply create a folder and put her stuff in it that way it isn't in my way.

Hi,
Execute SWIA, based on different selection paramenters you would be able to find the workitem(s) in list. Select one and client execute without check.
You can also forward the workitem to another user and then execute normally.
You can also use API for execute a workitem. Search in SAP_WAPI_workitem.

How do I move organized photos from dropbox to iPhoto and share with another user on the same mac?

I have about 3,500 photos sitting in dropbox and just purchased my first mac yesterday. My husband and I each have our own Ipad and our own user id's on the mac. I moved two of the folders to Iphoto and it shows up on my screen in the right folders. However, on my Ipad, it shows all of them under one Photostream and not organized. They don't show up on my husband's "side of the computer" at all.
So my questions are:
1. How does one mirror their file organization on the Ipad?
2. How does one share all of the folders with another user on the same Ipad so they can view folders, and add pictures to the folders if they like?

If you use the Photo Stream, the organisation in iPhoto will be lost - there is just one endless stream. YOu could sync your photos using iTunes. Then you will see the synced albums in the Photos.app on the iPad.

On the same iPad? Do you mean on the same mac?
If you want to share an iPhoto library between two users on the same mac, the iPhoto library should be on a separate disk partition or even better, on a separate external disk. Then you can set the flag "Ignore ownership on this volume" to avoid permission problems. Both of you will be able to browse the iPhoto library and can edit the photos within.

If both of you want to keep separate iPhoto libraries but share the photos, you could share selected albums as Shared PhotoStreams and invite each other to browse them. This would require iOS 7. Do you have iOS 7 on your iPad? Each Shared Photo Stream will be shown as a separate album on your iPad .

Another User Modified the table

Hi,
I have a user defined form, which is bound to Master-Data UDO.
I have matrices in the form which is bound to its child objects.
Following problem happens once in a while:
When I press update button, I get the error message 'Another User Modified the table'.
This is not consistent, but happens once in a while.
My SBO version is 2007.
In what situations you will get the error - "Another User Modified the table" ?
Please help me with this.

Thanks for your reply.
In my case, I take back-up of the database from client site and bringing into our in-house.
If clients complained about record# 25, then the same record# has the 'Another user' issue in in-house also. (By record# I mean the Master UDO DocEntry#).
So, I think the locking is stored in the database, rather than in a PC specific place.
Please tell me any ideas you get in this angle.

Another user's calendar appears when a date is selected in Mail message

Just upgraded to Lion on our family Mac. My wife and I each have an account on the Mac and share an Apple ID for purchases.
We each have an iPhone and have separate iCloud accounts. The shared Apple ID is used only for the App Store on the phones.
iCloud is working great, and syncing correctly with our individual accounts on the Mac.
But if I select a date that appears in a Mail message in my account on my Mac, the preview window for making an iCal event appears with my wife's calendar events, not mine!
If I go ahead and create the event anyway, it correctly appears in my calendar, not in my wife's.
Any way to prevent the display of another user's calendar when making an event from a date in a Mail message from your own account on a Mac running Lion?

SALES ORDER: Total of a Field from the Grid in a User-Defined Field in ORDR

Hello!
I created a User-Defined Field called "U_Soma" in table ORDR (Marketing Documents / Title).
I need this U_Soma field Totalize the content of another User-Difined Field called "U_TotalPorUM" created in table RDR1 (Marketing Documents / Rows). It must get the Sum the value of all rows in the current record being edited.
Using the Query below, it works fine with already saved records:
SELECT SUM(T1.[U_TotalPorUM]) FROM ORDR T0 INNER JOIN RDR1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry WHERE T0.DocEntry = $[ORDR.DocEntry]
However, I need that it work with non saved (yet) records.

In other circumstances I would agree with you.
But the U_Soma field must be used to control the maximum weight of a charge.
It becames very usefull if user can see that the charge limit is reached, still when the Sales Order is being edited.
(The U_TotalPorUM field shows the weight of each item).

Dear Divya,
In most cases, the error messages " Another user modified table XXX (XXXX) (ODBC -2039)." comes because after opening the form at your side, another user opened the same form and applied some changes. You can close the form, open it again, apply your changes and then update it to avoid this error message.
But in some cases, even if you close all the clients and login again, the problem still exists. In that case, this error might be caused by Database Corruption which need DB fix. If this is the case, Kindly log a message to SAP Support.
