Report inconsistency?

This has probably already been addressed somewhere, but I'm not sure what to look for.
Anyway, every once in a while, when I do a report (not any single report in particular), data is found, but nothing shows up (I can tell that it found something because the pagination thing tells me son). When I do the report in another browser, or on another computer the report comes up properly. Again, this isn't local to a given computer, report, time, user or anything.
An example of both scenarios is given below.
1) A proper-working page.
2) A non-working page. (Notice the pagination says 1-9 of 9)

As you have mentioned this is a pure pagination issue.
Before calling this page or if you change the report listing critera you should always reset the pagination. This can be done by passing the parameter "RP" in the clear cache position in the URL.
Example if your page is 12 and app ID is 200

SSRS PDF report inconsistent behaviour

Hi,
We are using SSRS reports in out project. In one of the reports we are facing a weird behaviour of PDF report. The report has few legends at the start and then the table containing the data starts.
If the report has 25-28 records then the table starts from Page 2 instead of Page1. The corresponding HTML report is working fine.
If the report has less then 25 records, table starts correctly from Page 1.
If the reports has more than 30 records, then also the table starts correctly from Page1 and remaining records at Page2.
Does anybody has idea why PDF reports starts displaying the table from Page 2?

PDF reports in SSRS are generated with physical dimensions of the page and HTML are generated as logical. So if any of the rows in your first page or header is wider than a A4 size paper then part of the row will be moved to the next page. Keeping
this in mind can you recheck the issue. The fact about 30 rows being on one page and 25-30 rows being moved to another might just be a conincidence. Maybe one of the records in the 25-30 set is wider than the other records. Could you please recheck and confirm?

BUG report - Inconsistent IR settings in Builder

Most of the reports used in the App Builder have been converted to use Interactive reports which is great. But I find that the IR settings are not consistent across all the reports. I had reported this during the tryapexnow.com beta phase. Now that we can use the new apex_application_install API to load up the Builder apps into our own workpace so we can review how they are built, the Region Utilities > Update Interactive Report Settings page shows this. Or just run the query

ME2N - Open Invoice report inconsistent

Hi Experts,
I have a strange case here -
We have a service PO (Qty - 24 Hrs / Amt - 100 $) for which SES was posted for full Qty/Amt. Invoice was posted for full Qty but less amount (say 98 $).
This PO appears in the ME2N report for selection parameter RECHNUNG (Open invoice) with 'Still to be invoiced' amount as '0 $'. Please help.

Launching of reports,inconsistent error comes,not connected to oracle.

Strangely this error is not consistent,it goes when we refresh the screen.Please suggest me something.

Are you using 'Enable connection pooling' in your connection pool for Oracle ?
- from help "Allows a single database connection to remain open for the specified time for use by future query requests. Connection pooling saves the overhead of opening and closing a new connection for every query. If you do not select this option, each query sent to the database opens a new connection."
Maybe the database is dropping the connection before OBIEE closes it if your using this option.
Is your database or BI Server clustered ? (Rac or OBIEE Clustering)
Maybe one of the nodes cannot connect, and you get success from one and failure from another
Is your TNS Listener 'stable' ie its not dropping connections for anything else ?

Serial number and MMBE report inconsistent

Hi friends,
I have a situation wherein in IQ02, for a material and serial no. the entry is there .i.e. say a material M" has a Serial no.say S1 present in plant BOM, storage location1000.This is seen as I go to the S.No. history it shows the last transaction as :- a document no. with Mov type as 101 for the above mentioned storage location and plant on a particular date.
But if I go to MMBE, the same material is not found in the above mentioned plant and S.No.
Can you explain what could be the reason. How does the S.No. and material disappear form MMBE while the S.No. history of that particular material with M.Type 101 is available.

Even through you don't need a equipment and do not opted for "always create with equipment", you have to maintain number range for equipment.
Because, whether equipment is created or not, the EQUI table updation will takes place during creation of serial number.
Per each serial number, one equiment number is consumed, though it is not created.
Hence maintain number range for your euqipment in PM, your problem will be solved.

Disc utility inconsistent free space

Hey guys,
My hard drive reports inconsistent free space using various methods.
When I click "get info" on my Macintosh HD, it reports 18GB free.
When I use disk utility, it reports 7GB free.
After verifying the partition, I ran a disk repair using the disc utility on startup and the free space bumped up to 12GB. Strangely, when I exit startup repair and run disk utility after entering the OS, disk utility still reports 7GB. Re-entering the startup disc utility reports 12GB free space!
My hard drive is an OCZ Vertex II LE 60GB SSD.
Ultimately I am trying to create a partition for bootcamp, but it keeps telling me i have less than 10GB free space. I can understand if "get info" is unable to see certain files due to permissions, but why should disk utility report different values via startup and OS? Is there any way around this so that I can get bootcamp to allow me to create the partition?

Disk Utility will show two different "free" readings, depending on where you look.
Sounds odd, but they're for different purposes. The larger figure, which the Finder and other things will use, is the total free space available.
The second is the amount of free space available for a new partition. It's shown when you select the top line for the drive, click the Partition tab, then select a partition, the "Available" amount may be smaller.
This is because partitions, unlike folders, must occupy contiguous space on a disk. The data on your OSX partition is scattered over it, not all nicely packed together. That's normal, as you add, update, and delete files, not every nook and cranny is used again immediately.
But whether there's 7 GB free or 18, that probably isn't enough to be adding a partition; it's probably too little for OSX to operate well. There's no "hard and fast" rule, but you should always have at least 10 GB or 10% of your OSX drive free; many folks say 15% or more.
You could back up your drive (on two different HDs, to be safe), reformat it to 2 parttions, then restore the backup. But it's going to be very tight, and you'll likely have performance problems because of it.
Try to delete anything you don't need, and/or offload stuff you don't use often and delete it.

Game center ios7 problems (achievements out of sync)

There are many serious bugs in Game Center for iOS7. None of the deficiencies of GC on iOS6 were addressed, and new crashes, hangs, and other bugs were added. It's as if Apple couldn't care less that games are the single biggest category of apps selling all those iPads and other iOS devices. But for this post, I will focus on one issue in particular.
Game Center reports inconsistent achievements across my many iOS + Mac devices. When I win an achievement once, I expect and demand that GC actually credit me for it permanently. In many instances, the achievement shows in GC on the device where I won the achievement, but it does not show on GC on any other device or computer. Note that I'm NOT talking about viewing achievements within a given application, I'm just talking about GC itself. This is NOT a problem of an individual game, it is a problem with the GC architecture. When I see a GC notification pop up that I've won an achievement, I expect that achievement to actually show in GC, both on the current device, and on every other device.
This is not a problem with replication lag. I've tried waiting for days to see achievements appear across devices -- they don't. I've tried force quitting GC and every game on the system, then re-launching GC, only to see exactly what I saw before -- different scores on different devices.
There are even inconsistencies on a single device. Different screens within GC show different scores. Some of these problems resolve themselves over time, as if different parts of the GC app rely on different caches, and those caches refresh on different schedules. I can forgive some replication lag, provided everything eventually replicates everywhere. But sometimes, the discrepancies never go away, and GC permanently reports results that don't make sense. Looking on the achievements page for a single game, I often a set of achievements and a total achievement score which just plain don't match, days after having won the achievements in question.
This is also not caused by offline achievements. GC is so abysmally poor at handling offline achievements that it deserves its own post, and I won't go into the details further here, other than to say that I no longer play GC games while offline. My device of choice is a wifi iPad (the last model with the large cable connector, updated to run iOS 7.0.2), and I always make sure I'm connected to wifi before playing any GC games. And by making sure I'm connected to wifi, I mean positively confirming that I can reach the web and check email before launching my game. Despite ensuring that I'm always online when I play, achievements still do not replicate.
This is also not caused by game bugs. Apple made a terrible design decision to not treat achievements like gold -- or even to treat them as important as email. Email is never lost. Achievements are frequently dropped. A game should not need to be implemented to re-register achievements, even if they were won offline. In any case, the point is, this bug has nothing to do with any individual game. I can fire up multiple iOS + Mac devices and see different scores within the GC apps.
My question is, how do I fix this? I can find no way to force game center to resync with the master achievements database in the cloud. I can't even find a way to send feedback directly to the GC team, or open a support topic directly about GC. (I would be extremely surprised if Garage Band were more popular than Game Center. Yet Garage Band has a dedicated support section, whereas the word "game" doesn't even appear anywhere on Apple's support communities topic list.)

I have the same issue and im about to leave IOS and go Android.
Im a huge gamer on the iPhone and got 19k+ achivement.
When IOS 7 came the GC have not been working correctly ever sence.
I have a huge OCD with achievements and need the achievements synced with GC.
For every 7.0.X update im SURE there will be a fix for this but nothing.
I am very dissapointed.

Authenticating with a Time Machine backup shared from Server

Hi everyone. I'm in a real tight spot here, so I'll be greatfull for any help you can give...
Last night I was going to attempt to partition for a BootCamp install, when the Yosemite install on my Mid 2010 MBP decided to report inconsistently on the amount of free space left on the system drive (Finder said one thing, Disk Utility another). Because of this, I it didn't matter how much space I freed up by deleting stuff, Disk Utility didn't recognize the new free space, so I couldn't create a large enough partition blah blah. Anyways, I couldn't repair permissions while booted in to the OS...oh dear. Reboot in to the Recovery partition and attempted to repair permissions from there, but that failed and advised me to format and reinstall. So that's what I tried to do.
I've got a Mid 2012 Mac Mini setup as a Server, with an external USB HDD configured as a Time Machine backup disk, which is shared over my network. Having formatted my MBP, I had no local Recovery partition left, so I booted in to the Internet Recovery mode. Restore From a Time Machine Backup couldn't see my shared Time Machine drive. Pretty odd. So I re-installed Yosemite, booted in to the fresh local Recovery partition and tried again. This time it could see my Time Machine backup drive. Great! Only problem is, when I highlight the drive and click Continue, it asks me to authenticate with the server and pre-populates the Username field with "root". Trouble is, the root user on my server was not enabled. Weird. So I tried the credentials of my administrator account on the Server. Failed. tried several other sets of credentials. Failed. Logged on to the server, enabled root user, set a password, rebooted the MBP and tried the new root user credentials for the enabled root user account on the server. Failed.
So my question is, ***?! Any ideas?
FYI, I did also try simply connecting the external disk that host my Time Machine backups, directly to the MBP but, of course, it couldn't see it. Probably because the folder structure is different to what the OS expects for a local disk, since it's configured as a share (/Shared Item/Time Machine Backups or what ever). I'm reluctant to go down the route of mucking about with the backup drive at this point, hence why I've come here.

I've had another stab at it tonight. I'm not sure if it is an authentication issue after all, because if I just type in gibberish credentials, the dialogue box shakes to signify that those credentials have been disallowed. However, if I type a know set of credentials in for the server (in this case the servers admin credentials) then I get the following message...
"There was a problem connecting to the server "server-name.local.". Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator"
FYI, I have committed my actually server name and replaced it with "server-name.local" is for illustrative purposes.
I checked that I could ping server-name.local from Terminal while booted in to the Recovery partition, over both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, which I can, without dropped packets. This is really starting to worry me now.
Any idea what I can restructure the folder structure on the backup drive, such that it will be visible to the Mac over USB? I'm weary of trying this method, as I really don't want to stuff my backup up and I don't have a an additional, sufficiently large enough, external disk to make a backup of the backup. Running out of options :-/

Warning message about a multi-touch device

It's just two weeks old. Whenever I boot up, there's a warning in the Event Viewer as follows:
"A multi-touch device reported inconsistent contact information."
The Event ID is 264.
Does this mean that the screen is defective? I've googled but can't find any solution. If the problem is not solved can I claim for a replacement under warranty?
Any help would be appreciated.

Power Cover stops working pretty much as soon as it starts

So, as soon as I touch the screen or use an external mouse, the power cover stops working. If I only use the keyboard or touch pad it works fine. When it stops working the Event Viewer has any of a few messages but the most often one is that a device reported
inconsistent contact information. I've tried all of the remedies suggested earlier (uninstalling, rebooting, letting windows re-install it on boot up, manually installing the driver, etc, etc.) and nothing is fixing this problem. This is even after the windows
8.1 update. I just got the power cover today and it's essentially a brick.
Any ideas? This is 100% reproducible (and I live in Redmond if anyone wants to see this). While I've installed a bunch of software, most of it is windows stuff, office and visual studio and none of those are running when this happens. The mouse I'm using
is a wedge mouse, also from Microsoft and obviously the touch screen is the touch screen but there seems to be a serious issue here.

Facing Problem while updating SAP Note for ESI Limit

Hello,
While Updating ESI Note 0001465628, Step 4 i.e Enable the feild in the cluster 'ESI'. When ABAP'er execute a report RPUGDF00 through SE38 he is getting "Internal Table" radio button option instead of payroll.
If he enters "Internal Table" feild but he is not getting "f" substep feilds in step 4.
Can anybody please guide me to update this note.

When it comes to processing of dimensions, what is the difference between ticking or unticking "Take System Offline" besides the effect it has on the application set status, i.e. ticking "Take System Offline" gives appset status - Unavailable, unticking "Take system offline" leaves appset status - available as it is.

I saw some information which are good but also some information which are wrong.
1. When you are doing changes into one domension until you don't process that dimension these changes has no impact into system
2. You have to take the system offline just when you know this can have an impact regarding reporting data for users.
How do you know if changes has impact regarding reporting data?
Looking to properties of that dimension. Any changes regarding properties having check "InApp" has impact to entire cube which means you have to process with full process and of course you have to take the users offline.
3. Adding members can be done with system on line because process of cube will be done incremental.
Not in thecase when you add a member somewhere in the midle of one hoierachy ...in that case you have to take the system offline and to do full process
3. Deleting of users has to be done usually with system offline because has impact regarding hierachy or has to be deleted existing data from fact table...so recommendation is to do it with users offline
4. Any changes into hierachy I suggest to be done with users offline because it has impact regarding retrieve data.
5. You can process a dimension withotu taking the system offline in case when you add property which is not "Inapp".
To conclude:
Process dimension can be done with users online just:
1. adding simple members (usually base members)
2. adding properies for a dimension without having "inapp" selected.
For rest of case you have to do the process with system offline otherwise the users can report inconsistency of data.
