Report to fetch assigned transactions for multiple role.

Hi,
I am looking for some report or the way, i can get the list of transaction assigned to multiple roles in one go.
Actually i tried SUIM, but here i have to specify one role at a time and have the list of transactions assigned to it.
My scenario is, i have around 100 composite roles. Now there is a requirment for a report, which gives information of transactions assigned to each role. If i do it one by one, i have to do it for 100 times.
Please suggest the best and quickest way.

Which is good, because those are the actual tcode rights, not only the intended ones......
To do this for composites I disagree with Julius on using Excel or Acces
Try the SAP query tools, they're there for you. If you go to the quickviewer (SQVI) you can easily join tables AGR_AGRS and AGR_1251 by AGRNAME. Now if you look for object S_TCODE you can see the relation between a tcode assignment and a composite role.

I am responsible for the authorization of the sap customers for my company.
We have multiple roles for multiple company's within our own company.
Butt when i must add one transaction to the role admin, i must ad the transaction for al the roles of the different company's. admin company 1, admin company 2, and so on.

There is a another way also, it could be done.
Create One common Role - zrole_common
This should be added to all admins of all companies
Create seperate Role for each company ( excluding auth in common role).
zrole_company1
zrole_company2 etc.
Now assign zrole_common and zrole_company1 to company-1 admin.
Now whenever, you wanted to add any common auth obj, add it to zrole_common and regenerate it, This will be effected to all admins.
I am not sure, how your Roles are maintained now. But if possible, go for this proven way.

Is there any standard report to check "consumption" values for multiple materials? The user needs to check the consumption values over a period of time for multiple materials (VERP, ROH) before deciding the re-order and safety stock values for them. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Changing Assignment Details for multiple user

Hi everyone,
In the RelationShips tab of a bundle, how can we change the "Assignment Details" for multiple user at once? Per exemple, I have a bundle that have about 100 user assignments. The bundle show on Start Menu but no on the Nal. If we want all of our users to have this bundle on the Nal Windows, how can we instruct that easily and quickly, instead of selecting each user and changing the Assignment Details ?

I am also trying to update the shortcut locations on many apps for a mass amount of users. Mr. Pond, or dominicm, can you explain or give a example ZMAN command that would be able to do this? From the documentation I can find it only seems to affect the distribution and scheduling but not the shortcut location.

Assigned users for a role

Hi
I am looking for auditing feature in Portal. I created a portal role,say ABC in portal and added an iView to that role. When ever I create any user, I am assigning this role to that user. Now I want to know the users associated to this role ABC. Under User Administration tab, when I look at Assigned Users for this role, I don't see any users. But when I see the roles assigned to any user, I can see this role assigned to this user. I don't want to go to all users and check whether this role is assigned or not.
Also, I want to know the users who all are accessing the iview in role ABC currently. Can you please help me with these points.

Purchasing group transacting for multiple purchasing organizations

I have a requirement in which i have certain purchasers defined as purchasing groups in my organizational structure. However, these purchasing groups perform sourcing transactions (e.g., bid invitation, auction) for multiple purchasing organizations. In the organizational structure, these purchasing groups are created under an organizational unit that isn't defined as a purchasing organization. They appear "free-floating" since they are not assigned to a particular purchasing organization.
In sourcing transactions (e.g., bid invitation, auction), the list of purchasing groups from which I can choose from depends on the purchasing organization I select. Is there a way to include the "free floating" purchasing groups in the drop-down list?

Hi Joy,
Its difficult to have a P.Grp with out a P.Org assignment.
My idea would be:
Assign this P.Grp to one of the P.Orgs (lets say POrg1). Add the entire root as the responsibility of this P.Grp.
When the Purchasers in this P.Grp create a Bid Invitation, the POrg1 will be defaulted always.
At the time of saving the Bid Invitation, use the "BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI" BADI to overwrite POrg1 value with any other POrg you desire.
You may test it out.

Disable an Authorisation object for Multiple roles.

I need to Disable an authorisation object F_BKPF_BUP for about 345 roles.Is there any way by which we can make mass changes.Doing it for individual role would take a lot of time.kindly advice.

Hi,
1. Go to SE16 --> table USOBT_C --> put object F_BKPF_BUP in the field "Object" --> execute without restriction. Download the list of TCodes.
Now go to Table AGR_TCODES --> put the list of TCodes (found with above method) in the field "Extended name" as multiple selection --> execute and download the list of roles.
Look up your list of 345 roles with this list. After matching, you need to sort out the TCodes present in this list of roles which is checking the object F_BKPF_BUP.
2. Now go to SU24.. go to option "Authorization Object" and NOT in the Transaction section.
Put the Object and execute.... go to change mode.... check the proposals for the TCodes you sorted at last step of point 1. Make the proposal Do Not Check where ever it is not so.
Move the Workbench Transport through Landscape. Your purpose will be done. But you should also keep in mind if the TCodes are present in other roles besides of your 345, those will become vulnerable.

Listing transactions for ranged roles

Good afternoon,
I'm attempting to "clean up" a role which was previously created and used many ranges. I want to remove sensitive transactions.
I am able to use SUIM to search transactions by role, and by complex, but this does not list the transactions if they are contained in a range, only if they are
listed explicitly in the menu or S_TCODE.
Is there a transaction or tool that will give me a complete list of transactions in a role, including those that are contained in a range?

In table AGR_1251, input S_TCODE for a role and see the values in Columns Low and High to see the range.

Mutithreading for multiple roles in a distributed application?

Hi experts,
I am writing a background-running application that serves in three roles: Client, Middleware and Server. It does some thing like file-sharing in Kazaa. Client hands in requests thru Middleware to Server. Server send the file back and Middleware decrypt it before passing to Client.
The middleware maintains a dictionary of file-links, server address where the file is stored and the decrypting key to the file.
The dictionary is implemented by 3 vectors and get serialized/deserialized with the application exit/start.
I want to exploit multithreading in this application. In other words, the application can work as different roles at the same time. For instance, the middleware is decypting file when a request is received for server, and the server starts to transfer file along with the decrypting.
Issues: the dictionary shall be consistent
My thought: Have a top level app class that deals with communication among peers. One class for each role. They all extends Thread. A new thread is instantiated and started when a corresponding request is received.
A client thread calls wait() when a request is sent off. It is notified by the app when response comes back.
The dictionary's read and write (i.e. add(), get()) are both synchronized to maintain consistency.
My questions:
1.Will my design work correctly?
2.Is this the right/conventional way to do this sort of things?
3.I am not sure about the wait(). Will it be better to write two methods, one for sending requests, the other one for dealing with responses?

I think that you should let the main thread (that one created when the JVM runs Main method) only to run the GUI or other kind of user interface or no one will be able to close the program or request for files
The main thread start the server thread and the server starts a new thread for handing each request just like you said
For each request the main thread start a client ,it send the request and the input method will call read you will not have to call wait because the read method blocks until the response arives
I could not undestand very well the middleware, could you tell me more about it?

Generation of assigner list for Admin Role

How I can dynamicaly generate the list of assigners ( the users, who could assign the role to other users) ?
I can do it manualy, one by one, but i want create a rule where the list calculates automaticaly.
And it is impossible to insert Rule into AdminRole object. Could you help me to solve the problem?

IW69 report not fetching all transaction data of current month.

Dear Guru Ji,
While doing testing IW69 report, i noticed that it is not displaying current month data. It is only get the data uptil last date of past month data in DEV & QA client.
I wonder why this is happening?
I tried using Malfunction start date & notification reference date input. But still the same result.
Please guide me, what is going wrong?

The selection option 'notification date' is based on notification date (VIQMEL-QMDAT). Transaction IW69 is used to display notification items - when there is no item data in the notification nothing will be returned.

Need to create a transaction for multiple select statements?

Hello,
I am a newbie and have a question about database transaction, e.g. whether/not to enclose multiple select statements (and select statements only) into a transaction.
My database is set to transaction isolation level 2: REPEATABLE READ, where dirty read & non-repeatable read are not allowed, only phantom read is allowed.
Now, in my code I have a number of methods that only contain select statements only. Since they are merely select statements, which don't do any modifications to the data, I am not sure if I am supposed to enclose them into a transaction.
However, if I don't put them into a transaction will the transaction isolation level takes into effect automatically when another user is modifying the data that I am reading? In other words, I need to make sure the select statements will never do either dirty read or non-repeatable read. But I am not sure if it is necessary to enclose multiple select statements in a transaction, since I believe putting the select statements into a transaction will put some locks to the data being read which may reduce the concurrency of my application.
Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.

You might want to try asking this on a forum that specific to your database. I suspect the answer can vary depending on the database and probably requires in depth knowledge of what the database does.
