Reporting of Child Routed Calls Using Parent TCD table

The TCD records of Parent do not show RoutID, ServiceSkillTargetID filed for calls routed by Child ucce. The Calltype ID filed shows "-1" for all such records. The dbo Service Table in parent is correctly populated and contains all child calltypes as peripheral number and mapped to ServiceSkillTargetID.
But still the TCD records on parent show routeid and serviceskilltargetid as blank for all calls that are routed by Child... any suggestions to fix this.
My requirement is:- There are around 7 calltypes on child that terminate on a particular skillgroup. I want to report call meterics for any 5 of them and that too by using Parent system and not Child. I am not able to differentiate the calls as serviceskilltargetid field or routeid field is not populated.

Are you open to saving some information in call peripheral variable which can help in corelating call between parent & child ?

What you want to do cannot be done with PL/SQL, which does have any print utilities. However you could write something using Java Stored Procedures.
Of course the "different printer" bit will have to be data driven as triggers are not interactive.

Burst reports to non-obiee users using SA SYSTEM table

Can some please assist.
I have setup the SA TABLE as seen in many blogs and done according to the instructions Yet, I an still not getting the report sent to non-users.
I keep getting the following message in the log: In my test case there are 4 non user to get a report.
The logon names match the report ID's... but no luck
Any suggestions?

These 4 users suppose to be uses of BI to send the ibot/agent.
Since you enabled to use SA_System subject area, this would look for the Delivery Profile and Devices for users.

BAPI Sync Call using JDBC Staging Table..

Hello.. (a bit of a newbie so I apologize in advance)
I'm having a problem with an integration. It looks like the xml is coming into XI fine from the JDBC source, but not getting to the correct mapping program. In Runtime Workbench, I get two messages in the Adapter engine. One says successful and has the payload of the JDBC pull data. The other is at a Waiting status and has the same data structure. The error messages says unable to find channel ID. Here are the details.
Synchronous Integration:
- JDBC table Source (polled every 5 mins)
- Mapped to BAPI_PO_CREATE1 (request)
- BAPI call to BAPI_PO_CREATE1
- BAPI resonse BAPI_PO_CREATE1.Response (for PO number)
- Mapped to custom message for JDBC insert command.
- JDBC table updated with PO number from BAPI_PO_CREATE1.Response
I have created two separate Interface Mappings for this, one is a Synch interface outbound with the JDBC source message type output and the JDBC target (with PO number) message type input. The second Interface Mapping is also outbound and has the BAPI CREATE1 as output and the BAPI Response as input.

I have gotten this to work and submit to the adapter. As it turns out, I had a problem in my source data structure. The JDBC call (sql) was pulling in the format below. I was missing the subelement "row"
Now I am onto more mapping questions. Thank you for your help though!

Calling drill through report using parent child hierarchy

Hi,
I am using Parent/child hierarachy and I want to open a report using drill through on that hierarchy, whenever i click on column it opens the report but showing whole data. It is not restricing the data.Please tell how can i prompt a heierachial column or parent child column at detail level.
Another issue i am facing is after clicking on + sign at the child column acton link is not working.
Please reply on that issue.

FSG Reports using Parent/Child relationships

All,
We have recently progressed to using Parent and Child values with our Cost Centres (segment1) and we now are looking at the use of these with FSG Reports.
Is it possible, or has anyone got any experience with using, an FSG report which picks up the Parent Value description without the need for manually typing it into Row Sets when totalling all the child values (inc child value descriptions).
Any advice would be appreciated.

Account assignments level we are selecting Accounts whether it is parent or child, but not at row line level, there is no builtin functionality as per your request.

Getting Report ID of Calling Report in Child Report

Hi,
Am using Business objects webi reports at my job.
I have a scenario where i call report B from report A and report B from report C.Am using hyperlinks to call the other reports.
A ->calls->B
C->Calls->B
I wanted to know how to get the report id of the parent report(calling report)(A/C) in the child report (B). I need those details as i have to have back button in child report(B) which takes me to corresponding calling(parent) report.
So if A->calls->B back button in B report should take me to A Report.
C->B back button in B report should take me to C Report.

Thanks for your response.But my problem is not getting report id.I need to make a dynamic back button which points to correct parent report from child report, though there are many parent reports calling the child report.
So i should be able to track which report has called.

Hi Sreenath,
What issue did you encounter when run the parent package? It should work properly if the SQL Server Authentication is already enabled on the target SQL Server instance and the SQL account credentials are input correctly in the child package.
You may encounter issue if you have enabled Package Configurations for the child pages that use SQL Server authentication and selected to expose the UserName and Password for the SQL Server connection. In this situation, the password won’t be exposed to
the package configurations explicitly, hence, the Dtexec utility cannot fetch the password for the connection and fails the package execution. If it is the issue, you have to specify the password for the SQL Server account in the package configurations file.

How to Use Messge-Pool of Child DC, in the Parent DC

I am trying to achieve componentization of webdynpro projects.
I want to use the messages stored in the Messge-Pool of child DC, in the parent DC.
I have done the following so far:
I have stored all the messages(error/standard) in the message pool of one DC project.
I have created the public part of the component of that DC.
I have Build-deploy-checkin that DC project.
I have added that public part to another DC.
I have successfully added it to the "used Webdynpro components" of the second DC.
I am able to successfully pass values using context mappings, between the two DCs.
But i am not able to use the Messges available in th message-pool of the first(child) DC.
I added the childDC to the properties of the Views of the second(Parent) DC, but i am still not able to use the Messages present in the Messagepool of the child DC.
Is there a way to use the Messages present in the Messagepool of the child DC, in the views of the parent DC???

You have to use EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN addition with SUBMIT stmt.

Filter child report based on filters in the parent report

My requirement is as follows:
I have two reports, parent and child. Parent report just shows Account Name, Time Spent on Account and it's percentage, so when you click on Account Name, child report is displayed filtered based Account Name and it shows the breakdown in time-spent i.e. different Project Types. So I am filtering Parent reports using Column Prompts(namely Date Range, Task Status, Project Status). So far this works fine. Now when I drill down on Account Name, child report displaying total time spent which I don't need. Child report should get filtered based filter values in the Parent report.
Can someone please help me out of this situation.

Hey,
This is tricky to trouble shoot. Firstly ensure all of your child report columns are set to 'Is Prompted' through the filter and try again. If this doesn't work then open your parent report and save another copy (also make sure things are 'Is Prompted' in your new copy and make sure your Intitial parent report navigation points to your new parent report). Drill from the initial parent report to the new one you just created, if this works and filters then build out your new parent report with all the fields you need to eventually become your new child report.

We are using SAP BI BO 4.1 for Business Objects and SAP BW 7.3 as BW Backend.
Requirement: We need to pass the customer id from Parent BO report to Child BO report.
Issue: Customer (0CUST_SALES__CUSTOMER) Characterisitic is used where in the display characteristic is set to Key i.e 'Display As "Key" ' But the In BO the Dimension appreas as Text .
I have tried out by changing the display characteristic as KEY/ TEXT/ KEY & TEXT but still at the BO end the it is displayed as TEXT.
Workaround Tried: I have used the detailed object for the Dimension 0CUST_SALES__CUSTOMER- key in SAP BO i.e the key value where in we are able to view the customer ID. But we are unable to pass the value from parent report to child report as the query level Filter cannot be applied onto a detaield object.
Is this a BI- BO Integration issue?? Kindly help me out with the same.

I have gone through the doc sent. It was helpful.
Info Object (BW)/ Dimension (BO): 0CUST_SALES__CUSTOMER.
In SAP BO the dimension has detailed object under it 0CUST_SALES__CUSTOMER- KEY and 0CUST_SALES__CUSTOMER- TEXT.
Now I can pass "0CUST_SALES__CUSTOMER- KEY" from the parent report. But in the child report we cannot apply Query level Prompt / Filter on the detailed object which will hold the parameter passed from the Parent report.
Q1: Can we apply prompts on a detailed objects?? Is there any configuration changes required.
Q2: Is there any other method the achive the same??

Calling a Report Program In Web Dynpro Using Submit statment

Can any one suggest how can i call a report program form Web Dynpro using Submit statment. I tried to call it its showing Field symbols not defined error. Is their any other ways to call Report in a Web Dynpro?. I have posted the error message when i tried using SUBMIT ZRR AND RETURN CONTROL

How to assign ALV for parent node and child node that uses supply method.?

I need to display header details ( VBAK ) and Item details ( VBAP ). I have created two node like HEADER_NODE inside this i have created ITEM_NODE for this item node i use supply function 'GET_ITEMS' any way it is working only when crete two separate table and binding but when i come to work with ALV i am totally confused .. i have created two 'View Controller UI Elements' when i try to map HEADER_NODE it mapped properly but for ITEM_NODE it shows mapping already defined. return status message as 'Action Cancelled' . In result both ViewContainer shows only HEADER_NODE data only.
How to achive ALV for Parent, child node that uses supply function ? ?

Delete Mapping is not enabled, that means there is no mapping done yet.
I just tried what you are saying and the application works and i am able to map the header table and item table and also again i could map the tables any number of times.. i didn't get any such message, sorry i couldn't recreate the scenario. might be there is something wrong in the context.
i just did it like this.
