"The request failed with HTTP Status 400: Bad Request." when running reports
Hi,
I installed reporting services and the install went fine. The Reporting Services are located on a different server. I can see all the reports in SCCM but when I try to run them I get the "400" error with the following details:
System.Net.WebException
The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Request.

I can open the URL from the SCCM server but when I select a report I am unable to select any report options if available. If no options are availble the report just doesn't run, I don't get and error if I select "View Report" mutiple
times.
If I connect to the Reporting Services site on the computer where it is installed all the reports run fine.
One thing I have noticed is that when I try to change or add a role assignment for Reporting Services the edited account always reverts back to the default settings and the added Domain user is dropped.
ThanksI reviewed the topic and found a couple of steps I missed the first time around. I had to "Configure Reports to Use Report Builder 3.0 and setting the "Log on Locally" permission.
I then uninstalled the role and reinstalled it. I am still getting the 400 error.
When I inspected the SmsAdminUI.log I noticed the Error on the last line 2151811598 (it repeats in the log). I couldn't find anything specific related to it. By reading a few "related" Internet posts I came accross a intial setup
blog that noted some WMI firewall execptions (Async-in, DCOM-in and WMI-in) as require so I checked and they were not allowed on the SCCM server so I allowed them and tested with the same result. I turned them off again.
Here is the tail end of the SmsAdminUI.log

BPC NW 7.5 - Request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Request
Dear Experts,
I am trying to upload a flat file to BPC server. I am getting the following error.
" Request to transfer a file to the server failed (ERROR): The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Request"
Could any of you please help?
I am selecting BPC for excel >manage data > upload data file > selection for source file > selection of destination file > ok
Thanks in advance
Vipin JainHi Vipin,
Glad to know that you have heard good about me.
Can you try to upload the same file from some other system. If it doesnt work from any system, there might be some problem with the flat file. In that case, you can try to create a small and simple file and try to upload that.
You might also get this error if there is a blank line at the end of the file.
Hope this helps. -
Concurrent requests failing due to Linux CUPS service
Dear all,
We have a customer running their production instance on e-business suite -11.5.10.1 with Rdbms - 10.2.0.3. It is a single-node, single-tier installation running on Redhat Linux 3 (Update-8)
Whenever, concurrent programs are submitted with Print option, the concurrent requests keep hanging and never complete. At this time, the CUPS service uses 25% of the CPU time. If we restart the CUPS service, all requests complete with warning -
lpr: unable to print file: server-error-service-unavailable
APP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. An error occurred while AOL tried
to spawn the print process
Cause: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from the OSD routine FDUPRN. An error occurred while AOL tried to spawn the
print process.
The only workaround, is to run the concurrent request, without print option. But, this is not an option.
Please suggest a fix for this CUPS issue.

Proc Chain - Delete Overlapping Requests fails with aggregates
BW Forum,
Our weekly/daily load process chain loads several full (not delta) transaction infopackages. Those infopackages are intended to replace prior full loads and are then rolled up into aggregates on the cubes.
The problem is the process chains fail to delete the overlapping requests. I manually have to remove the aggregates, remove the infopackages, then rebuild the aggregates. It seems that the delete overlapping request fails due to the aggregates or a missing index on the aggregates, but I'm not certain. The lengthy job log contains many references to the aggregate prior to it failing with the below messages.
11/06/2004 13:47:53 SQL-END: 11/06/2004 13:47:53 00:00:00 DBMAN 99
11/06/2004 13:47:53 SQL-ERROR: 1,418 ORA-01418: specified index does not exist DBMAN 99
11/06/2004 13:47:59 ABAP/4 processor: RAISE_EXCEPTION 00 671
11/06/2004 13:47:59 Job cancelled 00 518
The raise_exception is a short dump with Exception condition "OBJECT_NOT_FOUND" raised.
The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLRRBA " in
"RRBA_NUMBER_GET_BW".
The main program was "RSPROCESS ".
I've looked for OSS notes. I've tried to find a process to delete aggregates prior to loading/deletion of overlapping requests. In the end, I've had to manually intervene each time we execute the process chain, so I've got to resolve the issue.
Do others have this problem? Are the aggregates supposed to be deleted prior to loading full packages which will require deletion of overlapping requests? I presume not since there doesn't seem to be a process for this. Am I missing something?
We're using BW 3.3 SP 15 on Oracle 9.2.0.3.
Thanks for your time and consideration!
Doug MaltbyAre the aggregates compressed after the rollup? If you compress the aggregate completely, the Request you are trying to delete is no longer identifiable once it is in the compressed E fact table (since it throws away the Request ID).
So you need to change the aggregate so that it the most recent Requests remain in the uncompressed the F fact table. Then the Request deletion should work.
I thought what was supposed to happen if the aggregate was fully compressed and then you wanted to delete a Request, the system would recognize that the Request was unavailable due to compression and that it would automatically refill the aggregate - but I'm not sure where I read that. Maybe it was a Note, maybe that doesn't happen in a Process Chain, just not sure.
The better solution when you regularly backout a Request is just not the fully compress the aggregate, letting it follow the compression of the base cube, which I'm assuming you have set to compress Requests older than XX days. -

Mapping failed due to Unique Constraint
Hi,
We are using Oracle Financial Analytics and noticed that one of the mapping SIL_PositionDimenstionHierarchy failed due to Unique Constraint.
Mapping was inserting data into W_POSITION_DH table.
Is there a way to find the source table from where it is inserting the record?
I don't have much Informatica experience.
Thanks,
PoojakHi,
Our servers are hosted to Oracle On Demand. I have opened a ticket with Oracle. They have asked us to aply a patch to increase the version of the Mapping.
Please see update from Analyst.
"Development team is requesting to apply patch number 9782718, which solves this issue as well.
You need to go to Patches and Updates tab on Support Portal, click on Oracle, Siebel and Hyperion products link and do a simple search with patch number 9782718. The patch files contain detailed instructions.
Please test on your Test environment first before applying to Production. Let us know if you have any issues.
Thanks,

Transport Request got failed due to Source system does not Exist
Dear All,
I Have collected All data soruces which are related to R3 data sources and Flat File data sources...
After import the transport request it got failed due to Flata file source system does not exist in BI quality system.
But all data sources related to R3 and R3 Source system has been moved which are available in BI Quality sytem also.
why Flat File source and data source are moving.. why i am not sure it was throuing error message called Source System does not exist..
Thanks,
VenDear Venkat ,
Go to Quality system .
Use RSA1 Transaction --> go to Tools --> Manage Source System :
Here you can map the entry of system ..
Second : go to Development system under RSA1> Transport Connection and click on Source system button first --> select your source system ---you can select multiple entry also ..collect your data source ( with before and after option ) and deselect which object you do not need ..And select collection mode to automatically ...
use the transport button to create transport request and release from development system .
I hope you will not get error in Q system .
If still facing error , Please let me know.

COULD SOMEONE GIVE ME A SOLUTION TO OVERCOME THIS.
YOUR SOLUTION AND GREATELY APPRITIATED.
REGARDS,
DHANANJAYHi Dhanajay,
Firstly check if R3trans -d is working fine.
If so, please chek if the following parameters are set properly.
DIR_LIBRARY=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run
TRANSDIR = ....\trans
<SID>/DBHOST = <HOSTNAME>
<SID>/DBNAME = <SID>
<SID>/DBTYPE = ora
Execute the below command and check the transport profile:
tp check all pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
Please confirm the permission of the /oracle/ directory
The permission of the /oracle should be 755.
Also check if the import queue is not locked.
Also please ensure the Kernel is of latest version, if not, please update the DBSL shared library. Please look at the note 19466.
Finally you can try once distributing and activating the transport routes once.
When you executed command R3trans -d logfile trans.log will be created.
Please check this file for exact error information.
Paste the log file here.
Let us know the outcome.

Sujit. -

I would like to suggest you reset the SDK account password (in this case, it seems like that the account is 'scomsdk'). And change the password for the account in service configuration.

CTI warning: The request failed because the timeout limit was exceeded.
hi,
For a perticular IP Phone extension when agent is going to login using CTI agent toolkit then CTI generatin this msg "CTI warning: The request failed because the timeout limit was exceeded". but the other ph is working fine. I have deleted this phone and add againg. And the ph re-associate with PG and JTapi user. but still have the prob. For more plz see the find attached.Your first troubleshooting step here should be to check what JTAPI Gateway thinks is the state of that extension, you can easily check that through procmon. The RegistrationState should be IN_SERVICE for a phone that is registered with CUCM. If you can see that the phone is registered with CUCM in it's adminsitration pages, made sure that it's in the list of associated devices, made sure you're running the correct version of the jtapi plugin and still see it as OUT_OF_SERVICE, you're probably looking at a CTI Manager defect. CSCti07947 and CSCti11651 spring to mind but there are probably a couple more.
Most of these defects should be fixed in releases like CUCM 7.1(5), 8.0(x) and up. If the issue persists, you're probably best off opening a TAC Service Request to identify the exact cause. The PG (JTAPI Gateway) only shows you what it gets from CTI Manager, so as you can see from my above observations, you'd want to focus your troubleshooting on the CUCM end. -
DSO requests Activation failed due to UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Hi,
We have recently upgrade the system from BW3.5 to BI 7.0. and we have load data from r/3 to DSO. The load was completed sucessfully. While doing the activation, it's getting failed due to error 'UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION'. In the dump i have found this information.
Runtime Errors UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Exception CX_SDB_ORA_PROGRAM_ERROR
ERROR ANALYSIS:
An exception occurred which is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SDB_ORA_PROGRAM_ERROR', was not caught and therefore caused a runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
An error occurred in the program:
The occurrence of the exception is closely related to the occurrence of a previous exception "CX_SQL_EXCEPTION", which was raised in the program
"CL_SQL_STATEMENT==============CP",
specifically in line 31 of the (include) program
"CL_SQL_STATEMENT==============CM002".
The cause of the exception was:
ORA-20000: Insufficient privileges#ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line
2150#ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 14112#ORA-06512: at line 1
Awaiting for your Suggestions.
Thanks
UdayHi Udaya,
This error i also use to get when i triggered some loads.
Actually this is a kind of Data Base. Error.
Your this load requires some more space than the usual one. So do one thing let all the pending processes end and then start this load seperatly. And when you Start the activation do one thing....assign some more space to this job (default is 6 i suppose).
Hope this helps you to go ahead with the load.

Soumyadeep. -
Hi,
We have some problems with our Root CA. I can se a lot of failed requests. with the event id 22: in the logs. The description is: Active Directory Certificate Services could not process request 3686 due to an error: The revocation function was unable to
check revocation because the revocation server was offline. 0x80092013 (-2146885613). The request was for CN=xxxxx.ourdomain.com. Additional information: Error Verifying Request Signature or Signing Certificate
A couple of months ago we decomissioned one of our old 2003 DCs and it looks like this server might have had something to do with the CA structure but I am not sure whether this was in use or not since I could find the role but I wasn't able to see any existing
configuration.
Let's say that this server was previously responsible for the certificates and was the server that should have revoked the old certs, what can I do know to try and correct the problem?
Thank you for your help
//Crishello,
let me recap first:
you see these errors on a ROOT CA. so it seems like the ROOT CA is also operating as an ISSUING CA. Some clients try to issue a new certificate from the ROOT CA and this fails with your error mentioned.
do you say that you had a PREVIOUS CA which you decomissioned, and you now have a brand NEW CA, that was built as a clean install? When you decommissioned the PREVIOUS CA, that was your design decision to don't bother with the current certificates that it
issued and which are still valid, right?
The error says, that the REQUEST signature cannot be validated. REQUESTs are signed either by itself (self-signed) or if they are renewal requests, they would be signed with the previous certificate which the client tries to renew. The self-signed REQUESTs
do not contain CRL paths at all.
So this implies to me as these requests that are failing are renewal requests. Renewal requests would contain CRL paths of the previous certificates that are nearing their expiration.
As there are many such REQUEST and failures, it probably means that the clients use AUTOENROLLMENT, which tries to renew their current, but shortly expiring, certificates during (by default) their last 6 weeks of lifetime.
As you decommissioned your PREVIOUS CA, it does not issue CRL anymore and the current certificates cannot be checked for validity.
Thus, if the renewal tries to renew them by using the NEW CA, your NEW CA cannot validate CRL of the PREVIOUS CA and will not issue new certificates.
But it would not issue new certificates anyway even if it was able to verify the PREVIOUS CA's CRL, as it seems your NEW CA is completely brand new, without being restored from the PREVIOUS CA's database. Right?
So simply don't bother :-) As long as it was your design to decommission the PREVIOUS CA without bothering with its already issued certificates.
The current certificates which autoenrollment tries to renew cannot be checked for validity. They will also slowly expire over the next 6 weeks or so. After that, autoenrollment will ask your NEW CA to issue a brand new certificate without trying to renew.
Just a clean self-signed REQUEST.
That will succeed.
You can also verify this by trying to issue a certificate on an affected machine manually from Certificates MMC.

Hi all,
Has anyone come across SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU8/9 failing to install with a “Failed to retrieve data for this request.” error.
The error is too generic for a useful search on web, for me at least anyway.
Had no problems patching a whole bunch of other servers in the same environment.
I’m no good at reading these error logs. For some reason the primary replica is referenced in the detailed log???
The CU8/9 patch has been run by both Domain Admins and local Admin with no luck.
We are trying to patch a secondary failover replica. (SharePoint 2013 is installed on this server.)
This is from the summary log:
Overall summary:

IMO I strongly feel it is issue with the account. Microsoft has also documented about this for SQL Server 2008 .Have a look at following links
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2000257
Please also assign privilege mentioned in below link

Hope this helps
