Hi All,
we have user requirement as follow:
1. we have 2 company code let say A and B
2. Current setting every B payment , go through A company code
3. Now user required additional requirement, they also want to have A company code payment
after explore in SPRO portion, we can not maintain duplicate entry for setting up paying company code
(means company B, have setup in control data sending company code B and paying coompany code A).
then we are thinking to use , manual payment if company A want to pay using their own account,
but have problem on printing payment advise.
question:
how we can print payment advise, if we are using manual payment?
(i tried to do manual payment, and in the top menu have function to generate payment advise.
payment advise can generated as system already give payment advise no. How i can check the payment advise and have a print preview on that?)

Payment use for this manual payment is payment method T.
if we are using t-code F-58, we need to fill in payment method related to cheque (C).
Any idea how we can do manual payment using T, and then we can print the payment advise.

Migration for CFM1.1 to ERP 2005
We have implemented CFM 1.1
We will be also migrating from CFM 1.1 to ERP 2005. Please let me know whether this CFM related conversion can be done afterwards .. after normal migration.

The BANK/CFM is included in the EA-FINSERV extension in ERP2005 version so the technical upgrade will convert the addon to this extension set. (from technical point of view) About further / post-upgrade activities at the application,unfortunatel I have no further advices on that. Please try to get an advice from someone from BANK/CFM team.

Payment format - payment advise
Hello,
I have the following problem: we have a company code in CZ. The payment run creates payment advises for every payment. Now we have the requirement that an advise should be printed out only from e.g. 4 items on. In the customizing I changed the note to payee and also developed a function module to reference to the table t042e. But nothing solves the problem. The payment advises are printed for every payment item. I think that this is "hard" coded in the payment format? but how can I find this code? And is it possible to change it?

I think this can be solved using customization. Go to Finatial Accounting> Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable> Business Transactions --> Outgoing Payments --_ Automatic Outgoing Payments > Maintenance of company code dat for a payment Method - In this point you should look for the section "Payment advice note upward of-lines"

Hardware/software requirement
Hi,
I am planning to install BOE XI 3.1, Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 and Crystal Report 2008 on my window server machine.
DO you know what is the minimum hardware requirement for this?
I only found the Xcelsius installation document that we need to 1GB for xcelsius (on client machine) but now if I have the above install on the Window server, what is the minimum hardware/software (window version) is required?

Different Storage Location required for RGA
Hi,
My requirement is that whenever Returns is done for SO, different Storage location should default, which is currently not happening.
For ex - Standard Storage location(0001) is determined whenever SO is created but we want that different storage location(say 0096 which is created for Returns) should be determined whenever Returns is created.
For these I have made the following config settings :
Defined 1000(Shipping Point Std) which is assigned to Plant(BPX1)
Also 1100(Shipping Point for Returns) is assigned to Plant(BPX1)
Storage loc (0001- std) is assigned to Plant(BPX1) and warehouse no (BP1)
Storage loc (0096 - for Returns) is assigned to Plant(BPX1) and Warehouse no (BP1)
In OVL3 following settings done:
Shipping Point (1000) , Plant (BPX1) than storage loc - 0001(Std)
Shipping Point (1100) , Plant (BPX1) than storage loc - 0096(Returns)
Still when we are creating returns storage loc 0001 is defaulting in Returns and NOT 0096 (Which is my requirement).
Kindly advise which config settings are still missing to determine 0096 storage loc in RGA.

Help - SAP Legal requirements South / Central America
Hello ,
I am in the initial stage of implementing SAP for Andina countries. The list is as below
1. Chile ,Peru ,Colombia , Venezuela
2. Panama ,Guatemala ,Costa Rica ,
3. Ecuador ,Trinidad & Tobago ,Domican Republic
Countries in point 1, I managed to get some information from SAP help , Is there any special legal requirement for countries in
point 1.
I am not able to get hold of any legal requirements for these countries,esecially for countries in 2 and 3. I guess countries in point 2 are Business one countries...Is there any special activation to be done if we have Ver 4.7.
Please help with information on the legal requirements for these countries and can they be managed by SAP or do we need any third part vendor or tool to handle them.

I will check with the SAP R/3 team.But need a confirmation - Chile,Guatemala and Costa Rica are part of Business One package.
Is there any specific configuration or requirement which is available only in Business one and not available in R/3.Or is the difference only in terms of architecture and no impact in meeting business requirements.

Time evaluation_quota generation
We are using -ve time mgmt for time evaluation. The requirement, EL would generate if employee completed 240 days (Attendace day + previous year availed EL). If an employee complete the eligibility i.e. 240 days, so quota would be generated, calculation method: total attendance day / 20.
For example, total attend. is 220 days + previous year availed e/l is 35 = total day 255 days, so quota would be generated on 220 days / 20 on last day of year i.e. 31.12.

Actually the requirement is to entitle EL benefit an employee has to attend (employee attendance) + previous year no. of availed leave ) should be 240 days or more,
Calculation of EL will be on Employee attendance (suppose ee attendance is 220 and availed leave is 25 = 245) so employee entitle will be (220 / 20) = 11 days.
Accordingly, I have created 2 time type, one for attendance cumulation and another to assign in base entitlement.
Time Type xxxx : Attendance cumulation, checked on day, period, month and no transfer on transfer prev. year
2nd time type assign in base entitlement of EL quota.

One more query arise in my mind is previously we have created PCR to move EL to attendance based on that calculation would be made, where the requirement is Attn + EL = but calculation will only be on Attendance / 20.

I encountered the problem related to Default Risk Limit is not appearing in T.Code: FTR_CREATE while creation of Financial Transaction.
I have done the following activities
1. Activation of Default Risk Limit Check
2. Define Limit Types
3. Activation of Financial Object Integration for Limit Management
4. Define Default Risk Rule
5. Derive Default Risk Control parameters for Money Market Transactions
6. Limit creation in T.Code TBL1) for Business Partner
7. Already created and settled Financial Transaction for the same Business Partner.
8. FTR_EDIT u2013 Edit Financial Transaction
9. FTR_CREATE u2013 Financial Transaction creation
When I try to create (FTR_CREATE) the Financial Transaction I couldnu2019t able to see the Default Risk Limit Tab. Please suggest if I miss any other configuration or else.

Purchase Order data from archive

May i ask your expert advise on the best possible and efficient way to extract the archived Purchase Orders data, basically key figures are needed for audit purpose of year 2002 to 2006, i tried using SARA and SARI, but they are really killing huge time and also the system memory.

If you are talking about the data from a few purchase orders, then displaying using ME23n will be the easiest.
If you are talking about some key fields from a lot of POs then i feel using infostructures will be the easiest (although it is slow if you are talking of huge volumes of data; but compared to sequential access, this is better).
If there is a standard infostucture already available which has the fields which you are looking for, then activate and build the info structure. Else, you may have to create a new infostructure which has the fields you require; again for this you can make use of a standard available field catalog or create one on your own. When filling the infostructures, you may have to fill for few archive sessions / files at a time so that it wont take long time and memory.
There is another way which is possible. If you have BI system in place and if it contains the data you are looking for, then you can extract the data from BI (if it suffices your audit requirements).

I am capturing the Bill of Lading Number in the 'Header > Shipment > Bill of Lading field', T/code: VL31N. But when I execute the report VL06I the field Bill of Lading is not available. Can anybody please advise how to bring the field inside the standard report. Any customizing is required for this?

Is it possible to restart a new PO release when partner function is changed
Dear all,
I have encountered an issue from one of our MM users. In the existing setting, system allows user to change the vendor code for the partner function PI (invoice presenter) after the PO has been partially/completely released. From my understanding, purchase order will be restarted to a new release if another release strategy is re-determined by changing the classification value(s). But for my case, the same release strategy need to be restarted.
I would appreciate to anyone who gives valuable advise is helpful.

Eddy AuI almost had this requirement too in my current project, but before I could find a solution for this, the client scrapped the idea. However, now that you have raised this issue, I'd like to figure this out too.
There is one thing we could try, although I am not sure if this is correct. If we could generate a new print message if the PI Partner function is changed, and for the release indicator in your current strategy which has the 'Released' box checked, we could set the Changeable field to '6'. This way should the partner function PI change, it would generate a new message and restart the same release strategy.
You could try this, I will also try and figure this out. This would only work assuming the first message generated when the document was saved is already processed, and now a new change message is generated.

Restrict particular account values in total
Hi Gurus,
Requirement is I want to display the amounts and quantity of particular profit center and GL Account, but shouldnt be added in the total.
I have a report, each profit centers contains group of GL Accounts. For every profit center I want to restrict particular GL Account in the total calculations but I want to display the records. I tried to exclud the GL accounts in the selection, but this is not displaying amounts, quantity records as well.
Please give me your valuable advise.

Though your reply and reference did not directly answer my question, which i will explain below concisely, it did help me to get an idea about how to handle my requirement.

The sender is a distributor that wants to send some text file to a file server in XI.The sender will have to send the file as a http stream link. XI has to read the file from the http stream and push it to a file server in XI. for this, i have identified that
1. At outbound/sender side, there is an HTTP adapter in XI.
2.The request to XI should be of the some think like
<b>http://<host>:<port>/file stream.....</b>
3. At inbound side , I have a java server proxy as suggested in the blog.
4. The server proxy will use a http client connection to read the file stream and another ftp client to push it to the file server
Do you think this would realize the requirement?

With the above mentioned URL, will the sender be able to communicate with XI, since the client is outside the network and has access to internet only. How can it communicate with XI?
Also, Is there an better alternative to this approach?

Derived roles are getting overwritten everytime when I update Master Role.

We have created some Master and Derived roles in the past. According to the requirement we have made some changes directly in the derived roles like some value of objects, activities, etc.. Now we added one t-code in the master role and generated its profile and generated all derived roles also. But changes made directly in derived roles earlier, revoked from all derived roles.
Now can anyone tel me how to add t-code in Master and derived roles so that the changes directly made in derived role should not be removed.

The main principle of derived roles is that they inherit all object level access from the parent with the exception of organisational levels.
Using derived roles you cannot achieve your requirement. If there are any object level differences in the derived roles then you will need to create different master roles or delete the inheritance relationship. This is a design constraint when using derived roles and if you do use them (some would advise against) then it has to take this functionality into account.
You can promote most field values to org levels which will not be overwritten but you need to be very careful that it doesn't cause problems elsewhere (e.g. promoting auth group to an org level). I respectfully suggest that you do not go down this route without consulting someone who has done it before and can evaluate your solution for it's suitability.
