Requirement gateway- management view

In the management view is it possible to customize the coverage % display.
Example:
I have 10 requiremets. I have covered for 5 requiremets. Management view says 50% since 5 more uncovered.
But out of 5, there are 2 is non testable requirements.
I have remove 2 non testable requirements for the coverage calculation.
Here actually 62 % is the coverage ratio after removing those 2 non testable requirements.
Is it possible to customize the management view.
Note:  I have attribute applied to those non testable requirements.
How to do that?.
Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

Kals,
Unfortunately, I don't have enough information to help you.
How are you modifying the coverage calculation?  What about the management view would you like to customize?  What are you trying to accomplish?

  • Is it possible to define limits, parameters, etc. (in TestStand) as requirements for Requirements Gateway?

    Hello guys,
Actually this is more a "Requirements Gateway" question. However, as there seems to be no board for it yet, I'll try my luck here.
    So, this is my situation:
I'm using Requirements Gateway mainly to manage changes and different versions of requirements.
The requirements are written down in a Word file. Certain steps in TestStand sequences cover those requirements.
What I am interested in is to be able to see when a change in my requirements has occurred but the TestStand file hasn't yet been altered to meet the new/changed requirement.
Now by "requirement" I mean things like limits, parameters (voltages, currents, etc.).
Does anybody know, how to do this?
So far I am only able to process things that are formatted with the "Requirements_ID" style in a Word file.
However, the parameters mentioned above are in the "Requirements_Text".
Ok, sorry once more if this is the wrong place to ask this.
    Greetings from Wetzlar, Germany

    Hi there,
I found a solution to my problem. However not with the help of the people of NI!!
As a matter of fact, I'm still waiting for some practical advice from NI.
When I phoned them on July 12th, the woman at the other end didn't even know at first that Requirements Gateway was a National Instruments product !!!
I then got outreached to a guy who wanted me to mail him my problem. I did but got no answer. So I called again and was promised to be called back. Yesterday (13th), after having left for the day some guy called back and a collegue of mine left me a note with the email address of the NI guy.
I wrote him an email this morning and I'm waiting for his reply.
I have to admit, I expected more. Now I'm rather disappointed by NI. I mean, you buy a software worth $2000 and they don't really know it's on their products list !!! Come on!!
However, HERE IS THE SOLUTION I FOUND:
First load your project (if not already loaded) into Requirements Gateway (NIRG).
In the menu bar click on "File" then on "Edit snapshots".
A dialog box called "Configuration" will appear.
You can now make a snapshot of your current project by clicking on "File" in the menu bar and then on "Make a snapshot of current project...".
NIRG will prompt you for a name for your snapshot.
Afterwards you will see your snapshot in the left column.
Whenever a change occurs to your project, NIRG notices this (it asks you whether or not to reanalyze the project), you can now go to the "Configuration" dialog box and click on the snapshot you took earlier on.
In the right column you will then see EVERY change in your project. When you click on an item that has changed, in the two gray fields below you can even see HOW things have changed.
By selecting "Display" -> "Selected snapshot view" you can even see what your project looked like when you took the snapshot.
OK, this is as far as I got.
I won't tell NI about my solution . I'm really curious to see whether they come up with the same idea or something even better.
    Take care!

  • Requirements Gateway: Visio - COM error

    Dear Developers!
I have a problem using Visio files in Requirements Gateway 1.1: when I open the example project ('Visio Example.rqtf) this info is shown:
Error: COM error (Class not registered)
Error: Conversion problem (file ...\Visio Example.vsd)
The operation system is Windiws Server Standard SP1. There is no full version Visio installed only Microsoft Office Visio Viewer 2007. Could this be the problem, or should I change some configuration of the Requirements Gatewaw?
    Knáb László

You can perform traceability analysis on Visio documents by capturing
traceability information from the custom properties in Visio 2003 or shape
data in Visio 2007 or by creating references in the Graphical View in
    Requirements Gateway.
(Excerp from "Coupling Microsoft Visio with NI Requirements Gateway")
Hm, i would say your guess is quite promissing: you will need i full version of Visio in order to get it to work since ther is nothing said about Visio Viewer.
Maybe you can get some kind of evaluation version for Visio in order to test this.
    thanks,

  • Requirement gateway report

    Hi,
In the Requirement gateway i have given the requirements document. So the tool management view shows all the header information from the input word file. Please see the attached image file.
I would like to extract the header information shown on the management view in to the text file.
Is it possible? then how to do that.
i am trying to capture the text  as below in the automated way of generating from the Requirement gateway.
Sample text file content from the attached image is
1.0 Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) Telltale
    1.1 Functional Description
    Table 1.1  Tire_Press_Telltale Signal

    Kals,
All you have to do is get the document that you would like to write the sections of, and then loop over the "Section/Entities/Requirements" of that document.  One you have those elements, put a paragraph section into the loop and simply drop the display of that element into your report.  See attached screenshot for example.

  • Create Quality Management view for a Material in background mode

I want to know if there is a way to create a Quality Management View (Quality Management tab) on Material Master (material already extended to plant ) in background mode.
The requirement is to add inspection setup data for a material extended to a particular plant in background. I tried using 'BAPI_MATINSPCTRL_SAVEREPLICA' to add the data and it works perfect as required. Now the problem is this BAPI is creating the inspection setup data only for the material which has QM tab in MM02 for e.g. I manually created the inspection setup for a Material from MM01 and then deleted it , now the BAPI works fine for this material because when I created an inspection setup from MM01 it created the QM tab and after i deleted the entry the tab was still there with no entry in inspection setup.
I want to create inspection setup for a material which does not have QM tab.
I have to create everything is background mode. BDC is one option which I am list interested in.
Thank you for helping in advance.

Thank you for looking into my issue. I have to do the inspection setup in background without using any front end transaction.

  • CC 5.2 SP9 - Management view update problem

    Hello all,
We are having trouble updating the management view, in CC SP09. After running full synchro jobs on profiles, then roles, then users, and finally updating the management view, the results seem wrong (in production, we were expecting about 50% of users with violations, while the management view did not see any)...
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
    Sophie Planchais

I stole this from another thread but at least it saves me typing it all in
    Follow these instructions
    1. Full user synch
    2. Full role synch
    3. Full profile synch
    4. Batch risk analysis for users (full synch mode)
    5. Batch risk analysis for roles (full synch mode)
    6. Batch risk analysis for profiles (full synch mode)
    7. Batch risk analysis for critical actions (full synch mode)
    8. Management reports by itself.
Wait for each job to complete before you run the next one.
Sometimes I even run job 8 inbetween jobs 4-7, just to make sure.  In other words the job order is then 4, 8, 5, 8, 6, 8, 7, 8.  As I have had problems that job 8 will not finish (after 4, 5, 6, 7 have been run) which we surmise is due to too many changes being required.

  • Reg : Material warehouse management view 1 & 2

    Hello All,
Using a Z-programI am extending the warehouse managemnt view for a single Plant, the view gets created successfully. But some how an Inactive version of Warehouse management view gets created for other plant also. How we can prevent the creation of this inactive view creation.
Please let me know your suggestion.
    Regards,
    Ravi Kasale.

from Note 545626 - FAQ: Data transfer problems:
Read the explanations in OSS Note 67616.
Bear in mind that, in the structure/table HEADDATA, the for BAPI methods StandardMaterial.SaveData (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA) and StandardMaterial.SaveReplica (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA) of the business object BUS1001006, you can select the required views and these correspond to the respective maintenance status.
In the segment E1MARAM of the MATMAS IDocs, you can assign the overall maintenance status in the field VPSTA.

  • JS Link breaks Discussion List Management View

Adding a JS Link value to the web part for the Community Sites Discussion management view breaks page.  First the Item render breaks down, and page becomes blank on refresh; even worse the Miscellaneous section of the web part properties go missing,
so the JS Link value cannot be removed.
Why does SharePoint do something so destructive, requires deleting view.
Items fields render as [objects] when JS Link value is first applied, but page become blank after refresh.
JS Link not supported for List Views?

    Hi,
Here is a blog about the JSLink Display Template Rendering Issues for your reference:
    http://www.myfatblog.co.uk/index.php/2013/08/list-view-web-parts-and-jslink-display-template-rendering-issues/
If the issue still exists, we can use jQuery and CSS to instead of the JSLink or try to update the SharePoint versions.

  • Import the test results and doors links back to doors with NI Requirement Gateway

    Hi together,
I will try to explain my problem:
We are using TestStand, DOORS and the NI Requirement Gateway.
We created a test specification in DOORS, TestStand used the DOORS IDs to connect the TestSteps in Teststand with the requirements in DOORS.
TestStand runs the test and creates XML-results, the NIRG is able to import these XML-results back to DOORS and creates a new(!!!) DOORS module, parallel to the said test spec.
This module contains some attributes like the single test steps, the results (pass, fail, whatever, ...) but now I am missing a relationship between the DOORS test specification and these results of the XML file or better, the XML-import in the new DOORS Module.
We want to manage our test results only(!) in DOORS so it should be possible to link(!) automatically the results of the XML to the DOORS TestSpec cause we are able to transfer the DOORS-IDs or other attributes (i.e.. The "un"unique NI ID#") too!
    in ASCII-art:
    DOORS_TestSpec -> NI_TestStand -> NI_Result -> DOORS_Result  <--------- with LINKS to the DOORS_TestSpec!!!!!!!!!
Next Step is the DOORS Analyze Tool but we need the links to follow them and to show us the results.
Would be nice to know if somebody else knows the problem or perhaps someone has an other solution. Thanks for your time!
    Greet

Regarding your statement "We will generate a chunk of XML-Results, so we are not able to link all the requirements by hand", are you concerned about having to update the path to the XML files each time you run the test?  In this case, I would recommend creating a directory to store only the most recent report (the report path can be modified in the TestStand report options), and set the XML report project in Requirements Gateway to point to this directory.  In your TestStand sequence, you could call code which moves the previous report file into a backup location so that only the newest file is in the specified directory.  THis would prevent you from needing to modify the Requirements Gateway project to access the latest report; reanalyzing would reload the project with the new file.  The traceability information will therefore always be up to date, and you can see that the DOORS requirements are being covered by the test results.
I agree that there is not really a good solution for importing the XML reports into DOORS, but I think you can acheive the result you are looking for using the report files directly.

  • RD Gateway Manager - Unable to read RD Gateway Server Settings

I'm trying to install a Remote Desktop Gateway into my domain, but I am running into a serious road-block... when I load RD Gateway Manager to configure the service, there is nothing to configure because it won't load my server into the console. When I try
to connect to it manually, it returns the following error:
"Unable to read RD Gateway Server Settings"
There are no errors or warnings in Event Viewer. I can verify that C:\Windows\System32\tsgateway\rap.xml exists and is readable. I can verify that Network Policy does have a TS_CAP_01 policy and it is enabled. A valid certificate was applied during setup
(and I've also tried choosing ask me later).
I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the role service (including manually verifying that the policies are removed). I also have this working on another domain server, so I'm at a loss for what to look for... How can I resolve this so that I
    can finish configuring the service?

    Hello,
    Thanks for your post.
From your description, I understand that you’re trying to install the RD Gateway role on a Windows Server 2008 R2-based domain computer. However, after the role
is install, the RD Gateway Manager cannot be loaded into the RD Gateway Manager. The error prompts “Unable to read RD Gateway Server Settings”.
Based on my experience, the issue may be caused by problematic installation or startup of the RD Gateway role. Before we troubleshoot the issue further, I recommend
you to enable the Audit level logging in the Event Viewer and double-check the related clues in the event viewer. To do that, please use the following steps:
    1.
On the RD Gateway server open RD Gateway Manager. To open RD Gateway Manager, click
Start, point to Administrative Tools, point to
Remote Desktop Services, and then click RD Gateway Manager.
    2.
In the console tree, right-click the node that represents your RD Gateway server, which is named for the computer on which the RD Gateway server is running, and then
    click Properties.
    3.
    On the
Auditing tab, select or clear the appropriate check boxes to specify the events that you want to monitor for RD Gateway, and then click
    OK.
When these events occur, you can monitor the corresponding events by using Windows Event Viewer. RD Gateway Manager server events are stored in Event Viewer under
    Application and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\Terminal Services-Gateway\.
Let us know the result if possible. We’d like to help further based on your information replied. Thanks.

  • Workspace manager view

Is there an easy out of the box solution for creating a "manager" view of tasks within Workspace?  The requirement is for a user to log in and search all tasks regardless of whether or not they interacted with that task (by default the search templates only show tasks which were assigned to you at some point).  I know you could share the individual queues but this gets cumbersome when a manager looks after a lot of employees.

You could also create a group for each user that also contains the manager. This could be done programatically. If the user claimed the task, it would no longer be in the queue. It would not prove any work was done. A flaky thing is even if the user's queue is shared to the manager, the manager will not be able to see the item in the user's queue after being claimed.
I solve the manager review requirement by calling a logging sub process between each step. It writes to a separate table. The Manager logs into a Flex dashboard to review the data and slice up multiple ways. Certain workflow steps may have multiple business process steps. For those, the user sets a status in a drop down before clicking complete. The process is routed to logging then back to the same user step unless the status has been set to the one that exits the loop.

  • Is there a way to Report out Remote Desktop Gateway Manager Monitor data?

We are running Windows Server 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services configured to provide a managed pool of VMs through a RD Gateway server. Everything is working well. We would like to generate a regular report on the information that shows up in the Gateway
Monitoring window about connections and users etc. Is there any way to generate such a report without purchasing 3rd party software?

    Hi,
Based on my experience, you can use Remote Desktop Gateway Manager to view information about active connections from Remote Desktop Services clients to internal network resources through an RD Gateway server. However, there is no such options in
RD gateway manager to create reports for that.
It seems that System Center Operations Manager can monitor Remote Desktop Gateway Service and the number of sessions that run through the RD Gateway are monitored.
    Best regards,
    Susie

  • RAR Management view tables

    Hi Experts,
We need to delete old logs for all sync jobs, batch risk analysis and management view data from RAR. Initially we had run all jobs for all roles but management requirement is that it should show only customer roles. Although we can anytime run new risk analysis but in managemnt view it will show old data also and comparison etc will be confusing to some users.
Please suggest if there is any workaround to remove old data. If we need ot delete at table level, which tables data need ot be cleared to make sure no old data remains till date.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi D. Kelley,
Thanks for the details. Based on your description, you might need to change or update the SID for users. Try identity command to change the username if you never use the new username in TFS. Check this page for more information about

  • Delete the warehouse management view and archive before deleting.

    Hi All,
I have requirement like this where I need to delete the warehouse management view from about 40k records
also need to archive the materials in order for the views to truly be deleted, instead of just marked for deletion.
Could you please help me in proceeding with this.
    Thanks,
    Reddy

    Hi,
in this way which I described you will delete the warehouse managment view for the material ( after that your material will no longer exist for that warehouse management organization data, but the other organization data for the material will exist). It's depend on where you are going to set the deletion flag for the material in MM06 before Archiving/Deletion with MM71
