Resending previously sent faxes from history list on OfficeJet Pro 276dw

I was able to view and resend a fax from the fax history on my OfficeJet Pro 8500 all in one.  I bought a new OfficeJet Pro 276dw on the advice of an HP salesperson that told me that this machine would do the same. It does not, or at least I have not found a way to do it.  The history list only shows the time, date number of pages, phone number etc.  I try right clicking on the number that I want to resend and nothing happens.  The 8500 used HP Solution center which the 276dw does not. Has anyone had the same experience and found a solution?

I found a solution to the problem, through early morning inspiration.  I thought as everything disappeared from the Printer folder, and kept being told that the printer was installed, that I would delete and reinstall other drivers that may (or may not) have been in the folder.  I seemed to recall that I had the generic Fax driver installed, and the Microsoft XPS Document Writer installed.  I went to "Add/Remove Windows Components", and deleted Fax Services.  I then went to the Printer file, clicked Add a Printer, and didn't receive the error message that the Print Spooler wasn't running, ect.  I then had no problem reinstalling the HP printer, Fax, and XPS drivers.

HI KentHP, I'm glad I was able to help!
I would recommend page 92 of the HP Officejet Pro 8500 (A909) All-in-One Series User Guide to find information on setting up fax re-dial.

  • How do I print standard 6 3/4" standard size envelopes from an hp 8600 officejet pro printer?

How do I print 6 3/4" standard size envelopes from an hp 8600 officejet pro printer. This printer has this size on the tray and has this size listed in the printer set up on the printer, but the drop down boxes from my computer to set up the printer do not have this standard size listed. I keep getting messages on my printer that it is not set for the right size. I have a list of supported envelopes and their numbers for this printer but which one of these other numbers is the same as the 6 3/4" standard size envelope. I have an operating system of windows 7 with an older version of publisher. Everything else prints ok from publisher & the printer, just not the standard size envelopes of 6 3/4".
    Please help!

    Hi indy-girl,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are trying to print 6 3/4" envelopes from your HP Officejet Pro 8600, but keep getting an error 'printer that it is not set for the right size'. After taking a look at the Supported envelopes sizes, the 6 3/4 is not supported. See below:
I was able to take a look at the 8600, the only thing I am seeing listed on the paper tray is Legal/Letter, and the 4x6". I am not seeing the 6 3/4 size.
    I hope this helps!

  • Cannot connect to wireless network from a new HP Officejet Pro 6830

Just purchased a HP Officejet Pro 6830 wireless printer.
Set it up connecting my Dell PC and it initially worked.
    THEN something happened.
ICON on screen on printer indicates "NO WIRELESS NETWORK FOUND"
Tried rebooting the Cable modem, then the router, then the printer and then the PC.
    Still did not work.
    What should I do?

  • TS3276 Mac Mail in Mavericks is randomly resending previously sent emails

For some reason previously sent emails are getting randomly resent. This seems to happen most when the program restarts as my computer reboots. Is there a way to stop this from happening? This is confusing and annoying for my clients!

Mail is not in my log in items. It opens, because it was open when I shut down.

  • Installs and lists my Officejet Pro 8500A910n as a "fax-printer" only.

When installing as a wireless network printer, it only will list the printer as a "HP Fax-Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Network)" printer. Not able to print, only fax. I have selected the complete software download and keeps installing this same way as a fax printer only?

    Hello LS2600,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some issues when attempting to get the printer installed.
I suggest we start off by running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

  • Can you print from the ADF with Officejet Pro 8600 (not plus) & how to print checks in correct order

Client has Officejet Pro 8600 I(not plus) They want to print payroll checks out of QuickBooks but when they put the checks in tray 1, it pulls the check that is on the top, which happens to be the last check # in the stack.  Is there a way to print where the printer pulls from the bottom of the check stack as opposed to the top. I've looked and can't seem to find the answer. QuickBooks says we should check with HP and change something in the print drivers?
So I thought it would fix it if they printed the checks from the ADF where I thought I could control if it pulls from the front or back of the stack. When we tried to print from the ADF, it pulled from Tray 1 and we weren't given the option to print from the ADF.   (only Tray 1 & 2...which they don't have the 2nd tray anyway) So does this model, not being the PLUS model, not allow you to print from the ADF. (only scan, copy and fax from the adf?)
If we can't use the ADF for check printing, then how can we get the checks to print in the correct order.  Meaning, the 1st check # to print should be on the check that is on the bottom of that check stack in Tray 1.  Otherwise they have to count out the exact number of checks & place them in the tray.  Or reverse all of them which is not an efficient either! I hope this makes sense.

    Hi @kceacct ,
I see that you would like to know how to print out the checks in order. I will do my best to help you.
The ADF can be used for copying, scanning and faxing.
From the print driver you can only select the tray that you want to print from.
Changing Print Settings in Windows 8.
You would have to load the checks in order from top to bottom in the paper tray, since the printer just pulls the paper in from the top of the stack of paper.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

  • How can I set the fax prefix no. on HP officejet pro 8600

    Greeting.
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600, and I want to send FAX thru this.
In my office, we need to put '0' to call outside.
However, there is no prefix setting menu on this device.
I have another model HP 1213mf which has Prefix No. menu on it, but I couldn't find this menu on 8600.
    Please Help me

    Hi Wony,
    Welcome to the HP forums!
I understand you're looking for a way to add a prefix on the Officejet 8600 for faxing, and I will do my best to explain what I found on this subject.
As far as I can tell, and I did check with a few colleagues, there is no Prefix No. menu on the OJ 8600 like there was on your LaserJet 1213mf. With that being said, that doesn't mean that you can't use this printer to fax in your office. Anytime you need to dial the fax you would hit the 0 first follow by ##, as that adds a pause to the dialing to then dial the rest of the number. You can also add that to speed dial numbers so that for numbers that are used all the time you don't have to dial the number each and every time.
So just as an example, if you were to fax HP's faxback server (1-888-473-2963) you would dial "0##1-888-473-2963" to get the fax to send.
This may not be exactly what you were looking for, but I hope this is an acceptable workaround Please let me know!

  • Send Fax from PC to HP Officejet 4500 All-in-One G510

When I print to printer HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m fax, no Send a Fax screen pops up asking for the Fax to information. It goes directly to the print queue and justs sits there saying Printing.  Fax works OK when sending paper fax via machine.
This is a new install, using the Install All option from the HP site.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Okay I understand now.  I do not want to give the typical uninstall/reinstall solution as I assume you have probably tried that already.  If not, that may be what you need.  I have quite a few questions for you:
    1.  In your Devices and Printers Folder, right-click over the printer and when you click "See what's printing," does it provide two options (Officejet 4500 and Officejet 4500 Fax)?
    2.  Is it in this queue where you see the print/fax job?
    3.  Does it say offline or anything else in there?
    4.  Do you have the 4500 G510g, a, or n?
    5.  How is the printer connected?  In some models, Fax to PC requires a certain type of connection.  I believe it was a USB connection in some LaserJets.
According to the User Guide, Fax to PC needs to be enabled by selecting Fax to PC under Basic Fax Setup.  Let me know if this helps you any.  If not, answer the 5 questions above please so I can determine if this is a printer problem, connection problem or software issue.
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

  • How do you stop ink from leaking in HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless

I have run through many cartridges of ink and have found that the blue ink is leaking.  How do I stop this from happening?  It is leaking in the tray where the ink cartridges are held.  I don't see a kink in the lines and the printheads look fine.
Also the printer states it is out of blue ink even though I've put in two new cartridges.
    Thank you.

@BrosseauFuels, If you have cleaned the print heads and cleaned and still have that issue, it may be a print head problem, or something in the printer is broken, and not noticed. You can contact HP Support (1800-474-6836).
@Nursenat, you can also contact HP Support, you may just have a bad print head.

  • Wrong color balance on prints from new HP 8500 Officejet Pro

Color prints are too red. We are printing a photo of an earring in which the original colors are all blue and silver-white, but in the print the blue parts have pink tones. How to fix?
    HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-in-One Printer - A909g, model number CB023A.
The machine is new. We have not yet gone through the very first print cartridges.
How can we adjust the print color balance?
    Thanks.

Mr. or Ms. Miles:  Thanks for your reply - I acknowledge you are responding in good faith and trying to be helfpul.  However, whether it's Dell or HP or Verizon, I just wonder why, whenever I start a telephone call, chat, email or forum thread with a technical issue, my simple precise question is always ignored by employees of the big company.  Your team of incapables in India could not answer my question which is why I posted in this forum.
I asked above what we can do to correct the color balance on prints with our brand-new HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless.  I even wrote that the machine is so new we have not yet gone through the initial ink cartridges.  Your response above was not to tell me how to adjust the color balance -- which is my precise request -- but to ask me a question:  to ask whether I have checked the ink levels.  All right, I'll answer: yes, we have checked the ink levels, and they are fine.  In any case, the machine would not ADD pink to a predominantly blue photo if one of our ink levels were low.
Please make it easy for me just this one time - how do I correct the color balance when I make color prints on our brand-new machine?  It is adding pink - how do I fix that?
Warning - when we bought the machine only a few weeks ago, I bought three years' full on-site replacement warranty.  If you cannot help me fix this problem, the eventual fix is going to be HP's complete replacement of this machine, at HP's expense.  I don't need that if we can get true color out of the machine.
Please focus on my question and answer my question:  How do I correct the color balance when I make color prints on our brand-new machine?  Thank you.

  • Stop a shared fax from going out

I have a MM as a headless server and want to use the modem connected to it for faxing.
All works till I enter a wrong fax number and the MM will keep trying to send the fax every 5 minutes. I can hear it dial in every 5 minutes.
In the Apple manual it says you cannot remove shared faxes. This is correct. I have tried and it just comes back.
So the question: How do I stop it from trying every five minutes to fax and how do I remove the fax from the list.
    Thanks

Well, the tmp one disappears when the other is deleted, but what a pain FAXing in OSX is!
I still use my Atari TT to send/rec'v FAXes 'cause it's so straight forward and completely visable, easy, and absolutely foolproof!
No idea what the problem is right now... when I deleted that file on mine, the only FAX ever attempted on it btw, the Modem Status went from Active to Idle, and as far as I can tell never tried to send again!
    Hey, found that CUPS thing...
"To delete print jobs using CUPS:
Type into a web browser http://127.0.0.1:631 (you do not need to be connected to the Internet).
Click on the Manage Jobs link
    Click on Cancel job"
If that doesn't work, I suggest the OSX way of doing it... purchase the bad phone number, let it send the FAX, upon where it will automatically delete that FAX! J/K LOL

  • IP Printing: HP OfficeJet Pro K850 not in driver list

    Hi
After hours of work, I reckon I cannot solve the following problem on a iMac running Tiger 10.4.11 by myself. I installed a HP OfficeJet Pro K850 on my Mac directly trough USB, and everything worked fine. Then I decided to upgrade the whole system by connecting the printer trough a D-Link DP-G321 Print Server, in order to share the printer for the entire network. Despite everything works fine with Windows PCs, I can't get it to work with the Mac. By adding the K850 to the printer list, after typing the IP Address of the print server and the queue name, I have to choose the printer manufacturer and the model. Sadly, there is no entry in the HP list saying OfficeJet Pro K850, nor any similar printer models. I then simply tried to add the printer as a Generic PostScript Printer and print a document. I am sure there is a connection between my Mac and the printer, for the printer began to print strange texts until I pressed the cancel button on the printer. So it seems to be a driver problem, in fact the printer does not appear in the driver list, although the driver is (or should be) installed on my Mac (from the HP OfficeJet Pro K850 driver CD). How can I get the driver in that list? Appearantly, there is no "standalone" driver provided by HP, since the driver should be integrated in Mac OS X Tiger (at least that's what HP told me).
Any help would be very appreciated!

You can find this issue addressed here many times - but I guess you would need to know some background first...
There are two kinds of drivers on OS X - Carbon and CUPS. Not like on Windows, where a driver is a driver. Manufacturers of non-postscript printers mostly provide Carbon drivers, where they can specify which comm protocol it uses. Your HP driver is written for USB only. You need a CUPS driver to use the network protocols, which are all part of CUPS.
    Install the 3-part hpijs driver:
    http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/MacOSX/hpijs
