Reservation in MD04 -reg

Hi ,
For a material in MD04 , reservation created is being shown but not considered while calculating the available quantity
reservation is craeted for the movement type 201  for the material for tomorrow date (28.04.2010) .
its shown along with other  elements in MD04
but at arriving the final available quantity  the reservation's qty is not considered
what could be the reasons? are reservations of 201 movemet are not considered ?
regards,
Madhu Kiran

hi,
i am talking about the available stock showing in MD04
if that tick is ticked then you mean to say the reservation quantity also takes part in the calculation of available quantity shown in MD04 ?
In which checking rule i have to check ?
i have to see for that material in the plant which availability check is asssigned  and then checking rule and check ?
pl guide

  • Issuance is not updating in Reservation and MD04

    Hi folks!!
I am getting a problem in stock issuance.
While issuing against reservation created for production order, for some material the issued quantity is not getting updated in the withdrawl field in reservation, and it is also not getting updated in MD04.
what could be the possible reason. Please help
    Best regards,

    I got the answer,
We need to create production planning option in Consumption Based Planning--plant parameters.

  • Automatically created reservation as "reserv" on MD04 screen. How?

    Hi Experts,
can you advise please, i have a number of automatically created reservations, shown on MD04 as Reserv. line and the same line as Transf.
Based on that reservation, there is purchase requisition created.
I'm trying to find how these reservations were created, and i'm not able to find production order, sales order and actually nothing.
    MB51 shows just 101 and 201 movements.
    Please help.
    Regards,

    Hi All,
first of all thanks a lot for your answers.
However, the question is how these reservations were created, and based on what.
I'm not able to see any demand in the system (production order, sales order, anything).
And i'm not able to get how these reservations were created.
Normally, there would be purch. req. or planned order generated in case of good is missing at plant level, else, there would be nothing generated.
    Please advise.

  • Sales orders ans reservations not taken into account on MPS / MRP

    Hello,
I am implementing the MPS / MRP and I have the following problem:
I have modified the necessary material master fields to take into account some materials on the MPS / MRP execution. These fields are MRP type, Lot Size, Strategy group and Availability Check.
Then, executing the MPS / MRP I have realised that only the sales orders and reservations created after the material master modifications are taken into account when I execute the MPS / MRP.
I suppose this is because the sales orders and reservations created before the material master modifications did not create the requirements because the availability check was not set for the material and so on... but I need to take into account these "old" reservations and sales orders .
Is there any way to "update" these orders and reservations?? Or I need to delete them and create new ones??
There are several sales orders and reservations created before the material master modifications. I think there have to be an standard way to update them.
Thank you very much in advanced,
    Jordi.

    Dear,
Are you getting these reservation in MD04?
Check the Planning file entry for these material in MD21 if not then create it through MD20 and take MRP run with planning mode -3 Deleted and recreated. And Processing key NETCH.
Also check the The firmed receipt is within the rescheduling horizon. The rescheduling horizon is set in Customizing for the MRP group (Transaction OPPR, Table T438M). A default value can be predefined in the Customizing of plant data (Transaction OPPQ, Table T399D). define the longer duration for it.
The firmed receipt (the MRP element) participates in the rescheduling check. You can set which MRP elements participate in the rescheduling check in the Customizing of the plant data (Transaction OPPQ).
Else you can carry out modification A using the MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA BAdI and the CONSIDER_RESB method without making a modification.

  • CK11N  Follow-up material not taken into account when costing

We are running the standard cost with quantity structure and we have detected that all the follow-up information is not taken into account to determine the bill of materials that will be used to calculate the standard cost.
SAP helpdesk has answered me the following:
"The situation in product cost planning is we do not check availability of any material stocks, and therefore we cannot provide the same functionality as MRP. You will have to create a new BOM that includes
the follow-up material or apply the modification to take into account the follow-up part."
Please, if anyone knows any user-exit we could use to develop something to fix it, we would appreciate it very much. It is a normal process and we can not say it does not work.
Regards, and waiting for any solution.

  • Problem with Material Confirmation (Availability Check)

    Dear All,
There is a problem with the availability check. when i place order system does availability check and confirms the order. Now say for example i have 100qty of material - X and i created order for 50qty, system confirmed and then i went on creating orders for this , say i have created orders for it for 150qty, so system has confirmed 100 and 50 on future date.
Now when i try to do the delievry for the first order(50 qty), system gives me an error that "0" qty is available.
Can you please tell me what may be the reason for this.
    Thanks,

You can also check in T-code Co09 of the availability. Best and easy one to read for me has been MD04 Transaction code.
What system does in Sales Order is that it plans the requirement taking into consideration Material availability and if material doesn't exist but sees that in a few days in the future material will be available so system confirms it. Note that physically the material may not even be present. You find out if you really have physical stock in the delivery. For example in the sales order in the future the system sees that a Purchase Order will take place so system confirms it. Even though physically you have not even done a goods receipt for that PO. So any Sales Order which has been created before holds that reservation. So if you make a PO goods receipt in the future all those sales order has taken up this stock even. So the new sales order you created may not even have physical stock present or available as back order  exists.
If you delete Deliveries that have not had PGI done to them this will take the requirement out of the list of Deliveries you can see this in MMBE if you scroll to the right. You can also do reason for rejection for other old orders to take out reservation in MD04.
    Good Luck

  • CO19 - Backflush - Final Issue

    Hello,
We are running into an issue with the final issue indicator for components when we are using CO19 to confirm orders.  The Process is that we first complete a B10 (Processing Started), then a B40 (Processing Finish), then a V40 to complete the variable activity finish.  The reason we are doing the V40 is because we are using BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TE, which cannot set the field FIN_CONF with the B40 (note 1230750), so the V40 (finally confirmed) will complete the final confirmation.
    Here is the issue:
After the B40 record is processed, inventory tries to relieve for all back flushed materials. If there is NO inventory available to back flush, an error will appear in COGI, and the order reservation will stay in MD04. This is desired. However, once the V40 activity is completed (finally confirmed), the problem is that the Finial Issue Flag in the Production order is also getting checked.  With the final issue flag being checked, it is removing the order reservation in MD04 for the back flushed material that is still in COGI.  Because the error is still in COGI, we DO NOT want the Finial Issue flag checked, which will allow the order reservation to remain in MD04.
Is there something we are missing in configuration that will prevent the order reservation from being removed from MD04 if the material is not yet issued to the production order?  In OPK4 we do not have the "Post Open Reservations" box checked.
    I appreciate any help.
    Thank you.

    Hello Ann400,
I am afraid that there is no simple solution. If you set - for whatever reason - the FIN_CONF indicator, this leads automatically to final delivery indicator as well as final issue indicators for the components. This is a system design and it is idependent from the confirmed quantity even if it is zero -> therefore COGI records are not considered.
As a workaround you may think about not to call the BAPI for the V40 (because you're calling it just for the final indicators) as long as COGI records from the B40 exist. This would solve your issue. But this is something you need to do in your source code environment.
    Hope this helps.

  • UB Type

    Hi Gurus,
She is referring to the ability of a sales order to allocate againstinventory that is on an inbound delivery, but not yet received into
unrestricted stock.  A sales order creates a reservation in MD04 for the material whereas a plant-to-plant stock transfer PO (UB type) does not.
    Regards
    NNeeti

Check the settings in t.code OVZ9. Check the box stockinTransfer under stocks and check the box Include shipping notification under In/outward movements. By this way, stock transfer PO will be included in the availability check.

  • Managing variable sized items for planning and purchase

    Dear All,
We have the following situation, kindly help in resolving the same:
Some of the raw materials are variable sized (for example plates). These items come in the Semi-finished/finished BOM as Raw Materials. Now whenver the requirement for SFG/FG is there MRP creates requirement for the variable sized items as well.
We have defined the unit of measure for variable sized items as M2 (meter square). Stock for these items display total area present in the Storage Location. Since these items are cut and used it might be possible that the requirement generated by MRP can be theoretically satisfied against the available stock but cant be practically satisfied against the actual physical stock.
For example in stock we have a sheet of 4m X 5m = 20 M2. The requirement from MRP comes to be 10 M2 but with dimensions 1mX10M. The stock shows available qtty as 20M2, required qtty as 10M2 and hence No PR is generated. But in actual we need to create a PR as dimensions are different.
So to manage this we are giving MRP type of raw materials as ND (No planning). Therefore the system is not creating any PR (even if requirements exceed available stock) it only creates DepReq for the RM. Now we create manual PRs after studying the DepReq. But it seems that it is easy to loose track and difficult to know that for which DepReq the PRs are already created.
Is there any way to relate the manual PRs to the DepReq created by MRP?
If yes, then whenever DepReq will be converted to OrdRes will the above relation still be valid?
Is there any other way of resolving/mapping the above scenario?
    Thanks
    Vineet

We cant maintain separate material codes as the sheet required varies in size and shape. Right now I have come up with the following solution:
    1. SAP: Materials which are variable sized will have MRP Type: ND (No Planning)
    2. SAP: These items will be in the BOM of FG/SFG with their dimension details
    3. SAP: The requirements for the Variable Sized items will be created by the MRP although no planning will be done, i.e.  Dependent Requirement against sales order(through FG/SFG) will be created but no PRs/Planned Orders will be generated for these items
    4. SAP: List of Requirements in the form of Dependent Requirements and Order reservations can be seen through T-Code MD04.
    5. MANUAL: Manual PR is to be created against dependent requirements after checking the quantity and dimensions of the stocks available.
    6. MANUAL: Maintain an excel sheet to record the materials and PR numbers created for them with quantity and dimensions. Also keep a record of sales order number from which the requirement has come. Sales order number for a requirement can be viewed through the MD04 T-Code itself. Also the dimensions required can be easily seen by navigating from MD04 to the corresponding production order component list. (Instead of Excel an SAP Table can be developed to maintain the data, the only advantage would be central maintenance of data)
    7. For PRs created manually above dimensions will be  manually entered in PR as "PO Text".
    8. Whenver PRs are created manually the records maintained in point number 6 will have to be checked to avoid duplication of creation of PRs
    9. A separate column in excel sheet (refer point 6) can be maintained for the POs created against each PR.
Dependent requirements will automatically be converted to Order Reservations in MD04 view once the Planned order of assembly is converted to a Production Order.
    10. Order reservations will automatically be removed from MD04 view once the GI of variable sized material is done to Production Orders.
Do we have a better alternative to this?
    Thanks

  • Key distribution GLEI and MD05 screen

    Hello to all.
We setup GLEI as distribution key in our Production version.
From a MD04 side, everything is correct and distributed, but checking MD05 screen, the quantity to produce is not distributed and MRP consideres the quantity produced at the basic finished date.
When defining GLEI as distribution at component level in a BOM, MD04 and MD05 will display the same screen with distributed quantities.
Is tehre a way in the config to get this distribution in the same way in MD05 as in MD04?
    Thanks.
    Regards

    Hello Mario,
Yes I can see dependent requirements and reservation in MD04. But when I go for material replenishment for production then I dont see any split in requirement. We have WM active and hence material replenishment is done using LP12. In LP12 when we enter date then system show Total Requirement quantity on single day.
Hence, requirement is if Equal Distribution Key is maintained in BOM component, system should split the replenishment requiements also on whole duration and there should not be whole rplenishment requirement at the begining of period.
I hope this time I was able to explain the issue.
Let me know if any further informaiton is required from myside.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Reservations not showing in MD04

    Hello,
I have three reservations with movement type Transfer within plant 311 which is transferring stock from storage location A to B.
These three reservations do not show up in MD04 stock requirements screen but show up in Transaction MB25(Reservation list Inventory Management) as open reservations.
I have checked that both the storage locations are not excluded from MRP through MMSC and in "Define storage location MRP per plant"
Can you please help me out with this issue?
    Sincerely,
    Puja

    HI
As Vivek said  transfer requirements b/n Sloc's are seen in MD04 only if the Sloc is excluded or planned seperately i.e. have 1 or 2 in MRP-4 view for Sloc MRP indicator as it is deducted from one storage location and add to the second one.in such case
as i have same scenarion and in MD04 it is showing.
    check in MMBE

  • Clearing of reservations -reg

    Friends ,
    issue is like this
a component has been deleted from BOM, its CS15 is nothing , its not used any BOMs
Still PRs are getting generated in MRP for that part number
when analysed its understood that there are few Production Orders which are partially confirmed and done TECO.
is it the reason that they are not done final confirmation ....reservations are still existing
when we try to delete these reservations because of which PRs are getting generated , we could not delete.
when we do TECO , the reservations are cleared , is it not ?
what may be the root cause ?
is it required that we should do final confirmation before doing TECO?
i think we can not give 0 quantity and do final confirmation ?
still i think that TECO shall release all reservations
    please provide your inputs
    regards,
    madhu kiran.

    Hi,
    1. If you check the PuReqs in MD04 for your material you can check from where those requisitions originate (from where the requirements come).
    2. If reservation generated by production orders don't disappear at higher level even if you change the order status to TECO, your system doesn't work properly I think. (Final confirmation and TECO has nothing to do with each other).
After setting the order status to TECO, execute an MRP run, start AGAIN MD04 and check the result. If reservations still existst search for OSS notes (like 512009), if you fail to find contact SAP AG.
(please also check whether from where those resrvation come...)
    Just my opinion.

  • Reservation not visible in MD04 but visible in MMBE

    Hi Everyone,
I am facing a problem . Reservations of materials are visible in the Tcode MMBE but those reservations are not visible in Tcode MD04.

    Dear ,
In SAP Txn : MD04-there is always theree entreis : Plant /Material  and With Filter Check box.If you hit the With Filter Check box , u will find Display Filter and Selection Rule is appearing as a menu bar .
Now , for a test case , provide one material and plant code , mark with filter , Select  only SAP Requiremet and Stock both Display Filter and Selection Rule , press entre ,MD04 will display Stocks as well all the Reservation Number as Ord.Reservation (both manullay generated or automatically generted) .
In case , if it is not displaying , then investigate goto -SPRO-MRP-Evalution -Filter -Define Selection Rule -Select the SAP00002
-SAP Requirement and Stocks -Goto Details -Check wether Reservation is set to "Do not consider " .It should be set in " Display availability relevence " .Other filter screen like SAP00001-only for Reciepts .
    Check this and come back

  • Reservation not appearing in MD04

    Hi Expert,
I had created a reservation and it cant show out in the MD04 screen, may  I know what could be the possible problem for that?
    Thanks.

    HI,
Reservations are stocks that are reserved for a usage example production Issue when you release the production order reservationa are created for components, manual reservations also can be created if you want to allocate some stock for a particular use. Tcode for reservations
    Create Reservation MB21
    Change Reservation MB22
    Display Reservation MB23
    List of Reservations MB25
If reservations are more than the UR stock still movements can be posted and in MD04 u can see the actual situation. if you run te MRP for that material if the reservationa are more than the URUS then mrp will create the PR.
In MMBE choose the stock and click --Environment -->reservations you can see all the reservation details ie for which production order this materials reservations are created.
    Hope clears to you.
