Resetting passwords and multiple accounts

Back in June I was experiencing an issue logging onto my account and it said that my name or password was wrong. Same happened with someone else I knew.
I followed the instructions and verified who I was, then I had to change my password (even though I entered it correctly) then I had to do it again... reset my password. Now I can log on, everything is fine.I did the same for another friend. (Skype is up to date for both of us) Recently I'm going through my contacts and I see myself as a contact as my email and says it is a messenger. I don't like this, how do I remove this? (aside from removing contacts, I just don't want a double account) Now my friend is having issues again signing in so I tried and I was able to sign in but I was removed as a contact? I saw a pending request from myself supposedly and I added it, but it was the messenger account. Now I see multiple accounts of my friend, we can only log onto one of them. The only one that has my main account (not the messenger) is the one we thought we reset the password on but it asks to verify over and over. Did we do something wrong with our accounts or is this a glitch?
How do we fix it?
Anyone else having these issues?

suggestion to try: go to control panel, create a blank mail profile - in the profile, add the exchange 2013 / 2010 as the primary accounts manually - before adding the 2003 accounts.
remember that it will ask for credentials several times, as it connects to the exchange 2013 / 2010.. i get the explenation once, but dont remmebr it.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

If all you did was rename your ID, you can go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with your renamed ID. Deleting the account only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with iCloud from your phone, not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing accounts, your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.
If, however, you are changing to a new account with a new ID, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then choose Merge when you sign into the new account and turn your iCloud syncing back on to upload your data to the new account.
Before deleting the account, save you photo stream photos to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

Check that the email address is correct for your login. You'd be surprised how many times I've seen people see the prompt and just go with a password and not realize that the email address was wrong.
Aside from that, you can try resetting your password via the iForgot app.
If you forgot your password, you can easily recover or reset it using iForgot. For security reasons, Apple cannot reset your password for you. To protect yourself against unauthorized purchases to your credit card, do not give out your password to anyone.
NOTE: If you attempt to sign in to the Apple Online Store numerous times with the wrong password, you will see the following error message: “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons." To reset your account, use iForgot.

Parked MM invoice and multiple account assignments (table RBCO) ?

Could someone please explain how the table RBCO works for parked MM invoice and multiple account assignments.
What I have observed in this table are:
1. Every position (table RSEG) in the invoice can have several lines (table RBCO) with account assignment.
2, If there is only one record for a position, the key in the table RBCO starts with 0002, field RBCO-COBL_NR (???)
3. IF I add one more line to the psoition, the first line CHANGES the key in table RBCO from 0002 to 0001 and the second line gets RBCO-COBL_NR = 0002
4. The third line gets 0003.
5. If i delete line 1-2, the remaining one line gets a new key feild RBCO-COBL_NR = 0002.
The reason for understanding how this works is that i need to make a Z-table storing the history of changes done to records in table RBCO (..dont ask why...)
Lest say, I make a change for in an invoice for one of the positions, how do I compare the values in the itab, YDRSEG[]-CO[]- with the lines in table RBCO ?
And whats the logic for the key in table RBCO?

Can't reset password for FF Account

I'm trying to reset the password on my FF Account. Every time I ask for a reset link, The link that I'm given results in a page that says "Reset password link expired"
I've no clue how to get past this.

Make sure to allow cookies for the accounts.firefox.com domain.
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Unable to reset password on sub accounts

I'm struggling to change the password on a couple of sub accounts that my family has forgotten, unfortunately when I use the password resetter it seems to get confused. I checked to make sure the security info on my primary email address was correct.
The password resetter seems to point me to the helpdesk but this only gives me more options that then send me back to the resetter.
I rang the helpdesk but unfortunately after half an hour of messing around, the guy was difficult to understand, and when I asked him to email me the reset password on the first account he apparently was not able to email me. It seems that customer service do not have email facilities.
Whilst I'm not overly bothered about the sub accounts I do have some that are important to me and not being able to easily change the password on them seems to me to be a major failing.
I realise that this is not BT and the connection with yahoo is loose to say the least it does seem a shame that what should be a very simple task is being made very hard by a combination of language issues and technology not working correctly.
I have tried the step by step but it just pointed me at teh same failing resetter function
If anyone in the BT care team can help it would be very much appreciated.

Sadly I mentioned the difficulty on that number right in the first message, I spent 30 minutes, they really didn;t know what they were doing and I had to give up. The conversation was very difficult as I could barely understand what was being said half the time. I asked the CSO to email the reset password to my primary email but this was not possible apparently they are fixing email but don;t have any access to email !
I'll wait and see if anyone else has a solution before I call them again, perhaps a custoner care person may be watchin gand take pity on me otherwise i'll just email Ian livingstone and see what he's got to say ;-)

File sharing and multiple accounts

I set up all the Macs on the network with one admin account and one user account (for daily use). This causes a couple of issues:
- How can I access files from one account in another account on the same Mac? I just get folders with the sign and no option to authenticate or log in.
- When I connect to a remote computer, I have to choose one of the account (or it will connect to one automatically, if I set it to be remembered). But I sometimes want to log into account and sometimes the other. Is there a way to connect to both accounts at once?

Accessing files from other users on the same computer is harder. You suggest logging in as the 2nd user, moving the file to a shared folder, switch back to 1st user, do what you need to the file, switch back to the 2nd user, put the file beck where it belongs, switch to 1st user and resume work. I'd like something a bit faster.
OK, I see. What you need to do is shake the idea of keeping shared files inside a user's home folder. Home folders are for keeping your files away from other users. If you want to share some files, with other users able to edit them, don't keep them inside anyone's home folder. Keeping them inside the /Users/Shared folder will allow other users read-only access to them.
If you want to have a truly shared folder, where all files inside are automatically made writable by other users, the easiest way to do that is to store them on an external hard drive, with its ownership set to be ignored. But there is a way to keep them on the hard drive. It requires some set-up with Terminal commands. Post back if you want to know more details.
I think if I encounter a folder with access denied, I should be able to click on it, enter user/password, and be able to access its content.
Finder unfortunately doesn't allow for that, unless you are logged in as the root user. But if you keep shared files in shared areas instead of inside user home folders then you shouldn't run into this problem.
One more question - the multiple accounts - are they for different users? Or just for you? I ask because you seem to be wanting to log in to the admin account and then access the files in a non-admin account. If both accounts are yours then it raises the question of why you are logged in to the admin account in the first place. Admin and even root tasks can be done from non-admin accounts, by authenticating with the admin username and password when prompted. So it is rarely if ever required to actually log in to the admin account. I almost never log in to mine.

Reset password and now cannot connect to the internet

I tried to reset my airport password, and now airport utilities cannot locate the base station and the password is said to be invailid when I enter it, or it repeatedly askes for the password with not change. Any tips??

Push the reset button on the AirPort for one second and release. You now have a few minutes of free access to go in and change the passwords.
If this does not work, then unfortunately, there is not much that you can do at this point other than reset the AirPort router back to factory default settings and then re-configure it again, using a new device name, new wireless network name and password(s).
If you decide to do this.....
Power off the AirPort router for a few minutes
Then, hold in the reset button first...and continue to hold it in for an additional 10 seconds.....while you simultaneously plug the power back into the AirPort router
Release the reset button after the hold period, and allow a full minute for the AriPort to restart
The AirPort is now ready to be re-configured again from scratch

I have restored a old version of a back up and have fogotten my password and mail account is not active to change password ???

while updating my phone software it incured a problem with comunication with my current laptop i then tried by connecting my old lap top and worked.
all the time my phone was in restore mode.
i then updated on old laptop and restored a old version.
i tried to restore correct version but i had to turn off find my phone now to this account i have forgoten the password and the Email account is not active anymore.

Disk password and user accounts

I have a Macbook Pro (with Mavericks), and my disk is encrypted.
When I power on my computer, I get these options:
1. Log in with my profile/user account OR
2. Enter the Disk Password
followed by: log in with my profile/user account
What I am confused about is this: How can I log into my account both with and without entering the Disk Password, and there doesn't seem to be any difference between the two? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if my whole drive is encrypted (I only have one partition), shouldn't I be required to enter the Disk Password before I can log in with a user account?
I created another account (non-admin) and made sure it doesn't have automatic access to the disk (in the FireVault settings). This account can also log in just fine before I enter the Disk Password, or after I enter it.
Another weird thing that might be connected to this is that when I run the Disk Utility when my computer boots up (Cmd+R), it says my partition is encrypted + journaled, but when I run Disk Utility from within Mavericks, it says it's only journaled, NOT encrypted as well. The partition is named after my dog (I know...), so there's no confusion of the "disk1" "disk2" sort...

I encrypted the disk under Mountain Lion, then decrypted, erased, and encrypted again under Mavericks.
The reason for this is that I had some issues with super slow startup as well as the log in screen after sleep (the cursor in the password field would be blinking for 25-30 secs without responding to the keyboard, then the screen would go black, then come on again, and I would be able to log in…). I couldn’t identify any apps or processes that were responsible for these issues.
When I upgraded to Mavericks, the issue went away for a week or so, then came back. So, I decrypted, erased the drive, encrypted, and now have the “double” login options.

Help with Contacts - IDs and Multiple Accounts

I am involved in the process of migrating accounts and contacts into ByDesign, but have come across a couple of questions that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere!
Firstly, is it possible to specify the 'Contact ID' reference range. I have found how to set the Account ID for suppliers and customers, and also how to set the Employee ID for employees within Fine Tuning, but cannot seem to find the same feature for the Contact ID. Is it possible to set this field up to have a certain amount of digits, and between certain values when automated?
My other question regards having contacts linked to more than one account. I understand it is possible to have a contact linked to multiple accounts, but how? Is it possible from the Migration Templates? Is it a simple case of using the same Contact ID and information, but differing Account IDs on the 'Contacts' tab of the Template?
Any help is much appreciated.

You should not be using some other user's icloud account on your devices. That's not how icloud is designed, because if you edit/delete data on the device that ties to the other user's icloud account, then those changes will automatically sync to their devices - something I don't think you two want happenning.
If you want to keep your work data separate from personal data, then depending on what databases you want to use, like contacts or calendars, you could use a single icloud account and define groups in contacts, for exampe, some for work and some for personal. Same thing with calendars, define different calenders for each environment. Some databases like email may be problematic, however, I would think that work emails involve a non-icloud email account, so you could use the icloud email for personal use.
The other approach is to define and use two icloud accounts and for each device, decide which account to use. Having one device that uses both work and personal data would be a problem.
