Live Upgrade with Zones - still not working ?

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to do LiveUpdate from Solaris update 3 to update 4 with non-global zone installed. It's driving me crazy now.
I did everything as described in documentation, installed SUNWlucfg and supposedly updated SUNWluu and SUNWlur (supposedly because they are exactly the same as were in update 3) both from packages and with script from update 4 DVD, installed all patches mentioned in 72099, but lucreate process still complains about missing patches and I've checked if they're installed five times. They are. It doesn't even allow to create second BE. Once I detached Zone - everything went smooth, but I had an impression that Live Upgrade with Zones will work in Update 4.
It did create second BE before SUNWlucfg was installed, but failed on update stage with exactly the same message - install patches according to 72099. After installation of SUNWlucfg Live Upgrade process fails instantly, that's a real progress, must admit.
Is it still "mission impossible" to Live Upgrade with non-global zones installed ? Or am I missed something ?
Any ideas or success stories are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I upgraded from u3 to u5.
The upgrade went fine, the zones boot up but there are problems.

Wireless with PEAP Authentication not working using new NPS server

All,
We are planning to migrate from our old IAS server to new NPS server. We are testing the new NPS server with our wireless infrastructure using WISM. We are using PEAP with server Cert for authentication. For testing purpose we are doing user authentication but our goal is to do machine authentication. On client side we are using Windows XP, Windows 7 & iPAD’s
I believe I have configured the NPS & CA server as per the documents I found on Cisco support forum & Microsoft’s site.
But it is not working for me. I am getting the following error message on the NPS server.

I have disabled MS-CHAP v1 & only MS-CHAP v2 is enabled on Network Policies > Constraints.
I disabled validate Certificate on Windows 7 and tried to authenticate, it is still failing. Here is the output from the event viewer:

Verizon email; Thunderbird client; Not working since 3/25/2013;server name change

Yesterday, 3/25/2013, I noticed that email wasn't working from my thunderbird client. After a day of assuming that the problem existed elsewhere, I found on this site where it says to use POP.VERIZON.NET, port 995, and SMTP.VERIZON.NET, port 465. After grumbling why didn't I hear about this name change?, I changed them. At that time I noticed that the PORTS were wrong, too. They'd been right, and now, not. Most confusing. I changed them. Each account has CONNECTION SECURITY SSL/TLS and NORMAL PASSWORD.
But: when I try to connect, I get: An error occurred during a connection to pop.verizon.net:995. You have received an invalid certificate.....Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate...."
I am at a loss. What's wrong, other than that email seems to be choking on security?

Found in another post where a person said the INCOMING.VERIZON.NET and OUTGOING.VERIZON.NET did still work, so I tried it, but still got that Certificate error. Found someone else who said they had to say 'no connection security' before it would work, and so I tried that -- and it did.
Not thrilled about this, but the client is working again.

CS4 Install not working. Laptop crashed. New download link sent yesterday. Downloaded, but install will not work on new laptop. Help?

Laptop crashing. Purchased new. Had 30 day free trial of CS4. Activated and used that.
My serial # would not work when prompted for it.
Yesterday, chat session helped me to download the software again. Download took 3 hours so chat session ended before install could be completed.
Today I rand the install.
The first time the session ended with a "failed to install" and a list of programs (all of them).
Second and subsequent attempts result in getting to the "Cancel/Install" screen. Message says "Preparing to install" but nothing happens for a significant amount of time.
Please advise. How do I complete the install? I do need to use this software very, very soon.

DAnderson which operating system are you using on this laptop? Did you transfer/migrate/copy over your files, folders, and applications to this new computer?

IPhone 3G not working on new laptop

Hi,
I have an iPhone 3G. I have got rid of the PC that I used to use to sync music etc with my iPhone.
I now have a new laptop - I have installed Itunes, logged into Itunes Store, plugged in my iPhone, I can view every video and song on my iPhone, but I cannot modify its contents or add music.
How do I fix this? I do not wish to lose all the apps, videos and music I have loaded onto it.

In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and the sync process for iTunes content is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone. The same applies to photos that are transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process. When syncing an iPhone with an iTunes library on another computer, all iTunes content on the iPhone will be erased first. The same applies to transferring photos to an iPhone from another computer via the iTunes sync process.
Before getting rid of the PC that you were using to sync with your iPhone, did you create a backup for the important data on your old PC to be transferred to your new PC? If so, why didn't you include the iTunes library on your old PC especially if it included content that was purchased from the iTunes store? The iPhone is not designed nor intended to be a backup device, or external storage device.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content from an iPod or iPhone that was purchased from the iTunes store, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so - and you did de-authorize your old PC with your iTunes account with iTunes?
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
For any 3rd party apps that are not transferred to your iTunes library from your iPhone, you can re-download any purchased apps with iTunes on your new computer and you won't be charged again as long as you re-download the apps with the same iTunes account that was used to purchase the apps originally.

F12 not working on new laptop

I have a new laptop as my old one died. This new one has
Vista on. I know you all say don't use Vista with Dreamweaver but I
have no choice right now. Dreamweaver installed ok and is working
except the F12 is not working. I have checked through other F12
issues on this forum to try and fix it myself but nothing helps. It
does no work via the laptop keyboard of an external keyboard. This

It means that in this site definition, you've enabled a local
Testing
Server, but don't have one installed on the laptop.
If it's a dynamic site such as asp or php, set up the testing
server.
If it's a static site with plain html, turn off the Testing
Server stuff in
the site definition.

Facebook app not working since new update

Ever since I installed the new update for the phone about 2 weeks ago my FB app won't work anymore. It pops up with an error message. It's the FB app that came with the phone. I can still access everything else. I'm also having more trouble with my advanced task killer since the update. Everytime I open it theres a ton of apps running that I haven't touched so I switched my settings to the "crazy" auto-kill level but it's still not working. Help please...

For Facebook, search the market for Facebook for Android. This is the updated version of the stock Facebook. It will save over the Facebook app that is currently installed(it won't erase your data) plus this will alert you when there are new app updates.
For your tasktiller, Froyo has a decent task killer built in. There are always small tasks that happen in the background for different apps. I find that my battery lasts a little longer after I uninstall advanced task killer.

IPhoto PhotoStream not updating since new iMac purchase

I purchased a new iMac and transferred old iMac info. PhotoStream has not updated in iPhoto since the transition. Works on iPhones/iPads, but not iPhoto. Tried turning PhotoStream off/on in both iPhoto and Settings. Did not work. Any help?

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Stream preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

Keyboard shortcuts not working on new laptop

Hello! I'm having a huge problem and am hoping someone here can help. I've just bought a new laptop (because my old laptop fell apart) and have installed Illustrator on it. For some reason, the keyboard shortcuts aren't working properly. I can't use the spacebar to get to the hand tool, and every time I use a shortcut to get to any other tool, my cursor pauses for a moment before I can move it again. I'm running CS2 (I know, I know; just don't have the money to upgrade) on a Windows 7 system. I specifically sought out a computer with Windows 7, because that's what my old laptop had, and Illustrator ran beautifully on it. If anyone can offer any help, I would greatly appreciate it! This problem is really going to negatively impact my productivity.

People around here cannot know unless theyy use the same machine. I'm sure there's such a tool lingering in your tray area or being launched on system start. It's common practice to make up for the shortage of alternate keys on laptops. Check the task manager or use tools like Sysinternals' Autoruns to find potential candidates... If it has installed some system control panel you might be able to tweak the behavior there, otehrwise I'd simply start by uninstalling it from the Add or Remove Programs panel... you may lose some comfort features, though, like volume regulation via keys and all that....

Application written with JavaScript does not work in newer versions of Firefox

I am unable to upgrade past Firefox 3.6 because an application we use does not appear to work properly any any newer version. The application is CA Service Manager and is based on JavaScript. The pages display properly, but none of the links in the pages seem to work. When I click on a link, nothing happens. I have tried restarting in safe mode and resetting the profile, but neither of those helped any. Is this just a setting I need to change?

Would you be able to at least provide a link to the site you are having issues with, so that more experienced users can crack a shot at it? If not, please open a support ticket directly with the Mozilla team. There should be a "Report broken site" function in the Help menu of Firefox as well.

Anyone else have problem with DVD player not working since 10.7.4 update

Tried to put digital copy of movie onto computer last night and kept getting error message about the disc wasn't supported. So tried one I already have on my computer and got same message. Apple TV not working since new time capsule

hi, i've a new 3TB Time Capsule, I have added it to my Apple Network (with an airport express and older Timecapsule as network extenders). All is fine with internet and back ups etc but my Apple TV's will not play any video over airplay, can you help pls? thanks very much.

Does the apple TV have network access and can you access the itunes store from it??
Is the issue just airplay or is it larger than that?
If it has changed IP or something you might need to shutdown the whole network and all the computers and restart again. Make sure the ATV is available on the local network.
Beyond that another user might be able to help more.. I don't use airplay.
