ResourceManager support for single-plural, feminine-masculine cases

Hello,
I am developping a large scale website with support for multiple languages.
I am using the ResourceManager to manage the switch of languages by the user. It works OK, but I have some cases where I cannot find
a proper solution.
I wan to display different strings for plural and single cases. For example:
You have 1 image
You have 3 images
And I want to do it automatically, not through asking in the code:
if (numImages > 1) { display (ResourceManager.getString(locale,images_string_from_properties_file)} else {
display (ResourceManager.getString(locale,image_string_from_properties_file)} .
There is a solution for that using a gnu utility xgetText, where you generate for each msg-string a single and plural versions, but it does not work
well with AS3 (or any other AS), since it is based on C. (it is explained in
http://www.sephiroth.it/phpwiki/index.php?title=Gettext_actionscript3
, but does not cover the problematic issues, and so has no advantage over ResourceManager).
The same issue goes for languages where the feminine and masculine differ - like arabic and hebrew (and probably others).
Has any one dealt with these issues before ?.

You'll need different tags for each string in the bundle. If you put your own layer over that, that might be an excellent thing to share with others.

Technical support for single edition DPS

Hi
I'm hoping somebody can help me. I'm trying to find the answer as to why I keep getting the 'folio missing error' when I try to create my app.
I've already submitted it to apple and it's been approved and appears in the app store. However, I have made a couple of text amends and now can't seem to test the new version or download the distribution zip files to re-submit to apple.
I'm quite up against it in terms of client deadline and I was wondering if somebody can maybe try and help... or is there a technical support number I can call to speak to somebody and hopefully resolve my problem?
I've tried the number on the website but I'm uk based and the number appears to be invalid every time I attempt to call.
A few things that may help:
• I'm on the same computer as the original app was built and submitted, however the indesign files (although in exactly the same location) are saved on our server. Could this cause a problem?
• I have used a single edition serial number, so the delete button is greyed out in the DPS app builder app
• All articles are updated and I have tried launching DPS app builder both independently and from the workflow menu in Indesign but keep getting same error message.
I'd be really grateful if somebody could shed some light on the problem. I'm assuming this is a pretty common problem unless I'm doing something wrong / missing something really obvious??

Support for Single Labeled Domain

Question - When will Microsoft stop supporting "Single Label Domains"? Now with Windows Server 8 in the horizon, I would like to know if it will let you upgrade your current AD infrastructure if it is setup as a Single Label Domain.

I'm sorry, but I truly don't know. The reason that I don't know, is I've never tested it or let an AD infrastructure remain as a single label name for this length of time. I've fixed a number of them in the distant past with renames. I'm not aware of anyone
currently with a single label name until I saw this thread.
From what I see, I don't really think so if it hasn't caused any issues up to this point.
Besides, why do you want to bump the levels up? Is there something you are trying to introduce that requires the levels at 2008 R2? If it's DNS based, it may fail anyway due to the single label name, because the basis of the single label name is DNS *thinks*
it's a TLD, such as "COM," "NET," etc. That's why it's problematic. DNS is hierarchal and requires a minimum of a two level domain name.
So if you have a computer, called computer1, and your domain name is DOMAIN. Then the computer's FQDN is computer1.domain. But that looks like a domain name. Make sense?
Anyway, I'm sure you've heard this and read that in my blog. I'm curious ... Will you be planning on renaming your domain?

Unity Connection 9.1.2 - MS Exchange 2013 support for Single Mailbox?

Hello,
we are currently running a unity connection system in version 9.1.2TT1.11900 together with single mailbox enabled with our Exchange server in version 2007.
We are now planning to upgrade the exchange server to version 2013. From my understanding Exchange 2013 is supported with CUCN 9.1.2 (see http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/9x/design/guide/9xcucdgx/9xcucdg020.html).
When i go to the configuration screens I cannot choose Exchange 2013 ... Is there a special way to configure this or is 2013 not supported with Unity connection 9.1.2 ?
any hints ?

If you choose to allow Unity Connection to search for Exchange servers, then you need to select from the following two options:
– Exchange 2007 and/or 2010: Unity Connection can access every mailbox in the Exchange organization consisting of Exchange 2007, Exchange 2010, and Exchange 2013.
– Exchange 2003, 2007 and/or 2010: Unity Connection can access every mailbox in the Exchange organization consisting of Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, and Exchange 2010. When the Exchange organization includes Exchange 2003 servers, Unity Connection always communicates directly with the Exchange back-end servers, it never communicates with Exchange front-end servers.
The drop down does not state 2013 but it will work fine for 2013..

Support for Student Developer Purchase In Case Of Problems

My question: What are people's experiences who have bought a MBP or similar hardware through the developer program? Is it more of a hassle (ex. mailing, turn-around)? Can I expect less attention from a rep should I have a problem? Is the service worse?
I'm seriously near to buying my first notebook (MacBook Pro 15" 2.0) and my first Mac. As a registered Canadian design student I will likely buy through the Student Developer program, which as I understand it all hardware purchases must be made online for the discount.
Specifically I am worried about having problems in the first couple of weeks with my MBP and having to return it (multiple times, perhaps) for replacement or repairs. Maybe the Student Developer discount isn't worth it and I should just get the regular student discount from my campus computer store?

i bought my 15 inch MBP though the ADC student hardware purchase program, when i received it i had a bad airport card and did not buy applecare, i called up apple they asked if i had applecare, i said no, they said is ok your within the 90 days, then i quickly got sent to a MBP specialist, after he decided that a i get a free replacement then he asked where i got it, i said ADC store, and he didn't even know that its part of the apple web store (i had to tell him), so he had a little problem finding a sales rep, but after that they issued the replacement, and i have had no problems since with my new one (well slight whine, but its very very quite)

Please let us know which SAP system version you are currently working on. This is purely a system error. Please cancel the accounting document generated as well as the billing document. Then try to recreate the billing document once again. Hope this would resolve your issue.

There are no merits & demerits whcih decide the number of compny codes to be created....

Searching for single words in Solr

I have a Win2k8 Standard 64 bit install of CF9.0.1. I have simple PDF document containing two words, "Seattle" and "Seahawks". If I search for "Seattle", I get 0 results. If I search for "Seattle Seahawks", I get the one result I expected.
What can I do to add better support for single word searches?
NOTE: This does also occur with .doc and .txt files.

Seattle should give you a hit.
Default query mode in Solr distributed with coldfuion is OR. (it can be changed in solrconfig)
I suspect the actual search query is Seattle OR Seahawks
-do you still get one hit searching for Seattle AND Seahawks ?
So for some reason Seattle has not been put into the index.
It can happen if its in the stop word list for the collection (but it should not) or if the synonyms file is badly configured.
I would analyze how Solr indexes these words (http://localhost:8983/solr/[your collection]/admin/analysis.jsp
Select the fieldname where you store the data [summary ?]
check verbose output
and type Seattle Seahawks in Field value
Check how Solr applies filters etc

JMF has no support for H263 'b' or 'c-mode'?

From what I've heard JMF should have full support for H263 codec (video). I tested a simple JMF based graphics application and streamed H263 'a-mode' RTP to the package and presented the result on a panel. It looked OK. Then I tested the other two H263 versions 'b' and 'c-mode'.
It looked absolutely horrible...absolutely unusable.
Doesnt JMF have full support for H263? In that case, how do I activate the full support?
If JMF itself doesnt have full support for H263, are there any available plugins that can be used to solve this?
Greatful for any help/hints and/or suggestions!

Hi Mikael,
I've read at the following place that JMF with Windows Performace Pack has support for mode B and C:

But I've actually made the same conclusion as you: it seems like JMF doesn't support mode B and C. One solution might be to create a pre-processing effect plug-in, which simply removes all mode B and mode C packets before they arrive to the codec!? RFC2190 (the H.263 RTP payload spec.) strongly recommends using mode A whenever possible. So, hopefully there aren't too much of the B and C packets, and hopefully such effect plug-in won't damage the video quality too much?

The posts I have read so far conclude that SAML is only supported on the dual stack, not the single stack.
SAP Help gives steps for dual stack: Configuring Principal Propagation (SAML) - SAP Help Portal
This post from 2013 concludes no support for SAML in the single stack: PI 7.31 AEX - Principal Propagation
My time would better spent looking for an alternative solution for Principal Propagation rather than chasing something which is not supported (SAML on single stack).
Any help appreciated.

You couldn't login into server But You can use the following login

For this you need to enable the Appslocallogin Profile option

- Is there any support for Case Insensitive Search in Open SQL, is it availabe by default?
- Is there any restriction on number of elements in "IN" Clause, in Open SQL, is there any default number?

I have sent my iPhone for repair, but the case has the wrong description, I have called and talked to Apple Support, and told them the actual case and they told me thats what it was for and my Warranty covered it.. When will I get a new iPhone or mine?

I filed for a case and my One-Year warranty is still available until Jne 2014 , somehow the description in the case is mixed up and says it was cracked or dropped, but the real reason is the Audio goes out on my iPhone 5 after the iOS 7.1 update every 20 minutes and I have to restart it. I talked to apple support and they told me my warranty will cover the audio issue, but it still doesn't say that in the repair description. How can I see that? or will they already know? Apple has told me that they will, but I don't want it to be mixed up and me have to pay for something and it not being my fault.

Besides checking the support status assuming you filed the case with your Apple ID, there is nothing more you can do. Nobody here knows that as nobody here works for Apple. We are users like you. Apple does not monitor this forum. You will have to contact Apple support for the information if you cannot get it the way I described.

Single Driver for ni-rio 9146 without overhead by included support for all similar HW

I recognized that the driver package for NI-Rio 2014 is about 4GB in size but i need only support for NI-Rio 9146.
Can i download also a single specific driver?

No.
This is the same as with the NI DAQ boards. One has download the entire NI-DAQmx which is several gigabytes in size.
